Youtube daily report Sep 23 2018

Many of you have asked me for recipes with vegetables, now is the time to

show that you really like them with your likes and comments. Who does not think of

those boring beans with potatoes from our childhood when you hear the word vegetable?

Well that's over, let's prove that Eating vegetables is not boring at all. We start

a series of recipes with easy vegetables, rich and cooked in a healthy way, what

which is being a 3x1. In this first delivery the protagonist will be the zucchini.

As a first option I bring you some sticks of zucchini cooked in the oven and ideal

for an informal dinner. This recipe could be prepare even the smallest of the house.

We have a well-washed zucchini, it's important that the skin is smooth. We cut the two

ends of the zucchini. We cut the zucchini into 2 or 3 pieces, depending

of the size. Next we cut each piece by the

half and each half cut 3 sticks. We pepper to taste.

In one bowl we beat an egg and in the other we throw 20 g of grated parmesan. The panko is the

Japanese grated bread that is more crunchy and more colorful, if you can not find it, you can

put normal breadcrumbs We added 25 g of panko to the grated parmesan.

We add 1 teaspoon of garlic powder and we mix well.

As I said before we are going to cook them at oven, so we lined a baking tray

with vegetal paper and we paint with a little extra virgin olive oil The paper

we have previously crumpled so that it suits better to the tray.

We passed each stick for the beaten egg, drained and we went through the panko mix.

And we are placing them in the tray, as well until finishing all the sticks.

We bake with the oven preheated to 220ºC for 25 minutes or until the sticks

they are golden. Serve accompanied by the sauce you prefer.

I propose the marinara sauce that I made for the pizza bread recipe, it's

Vice, link to the video in the description. The second recipe is already a classic in

my house, a simple and delicious cream Zucchini, ideal for the cold months,

very rich and comforting. In the bowl we have 3 courgettes washed and

cut into pieces, next to 1 medium potato peeled and chopped and ½ onion also

cut into pieces. We take a splash of virgin olive oil

extra in a pot. We pepper the vegetables.

And we began to lightly sauté the scallions, until they begin to become transparent.

At this point we add the rest of the vegetables and we could add a little ginger,

turmeric, curry, ras el hanout, any Spice you like to give it a different touch

to the cream. We remove for 5 minutes, we want

the vegetables are lightly browned to give that point of flavor to the cream.

We cover with water or vegetable stock or chicken, and let cook for 15 minutes or until

that the potatoes are tender. Once all cooked, we shred.

You can add more or less of the cooking, depending on whether you want the cream

more or less thick. We distribute the cream in two bowls, with these

amounts come out 2 servings. We go with the presentation that is not only

decorative ... We put a little greek yogurt, sprinkle fresh chopped cilantro and that

do not miss a splash of virgin olive oil extra. Bestial!

Let's go for the third and last recipe, sure which is the one you like the most

We have a couple of zucchini that we have basin and we're going to split in half.

We make some cuts diagonally to all the surface without penetrating the skin

down. First from left to right and after

upside down. We place the zucchini on a tray for

oven. We pepper to taste, a splash of oil

of extra virgin olive oil, we spread well all the surface and the preheated oven

at 200 ° C for 30 minutes. We go with the stuffing. Chop a boiled egg

and we throw it in a bowl. We incorporate a can of tuna to the natural

that we had draining. We throw 2 tablespoons of fried tomato

and we mix. Chop 4 stuffed olives and also the

we throw in the bowl. We mix well and already we're almost ready, we've only had to

cook the egg We go back with our zucchini. Is now

as simple as grabbing a spoon and emptying filling the zucchini, thank you

the cuts come out that easy. We put it on a colander, because the zucchini

It has a lot of water and it does not stop loosing. Once emptied we all incorporate the meat

of the zucchini next to the rest of the filling and we mix.

If necessary, you can add a little more than fried tomato.

Once everything is well mixed, it's time to Fill the zucchini. Be generous

with the filling. Sprinkle some grated mozzarella

and a little Parmesan. And gratinamos in the oven at full power

for 5-10 minutes or until golden brown. What do you say? Have you liked the proposals?

What vegetable would you like me to do in the next "3 recipes with ..."? Tell me

on the comments! A little kiss.

Knockin'on Heaven's Door interpretation analysis (Bob Dylan, Guns N' Roses (Axl Rose) Steve Tragg) - Duration: 21:03.

HELLO INTERNETS!

And welcome to this interpretation/lesson/analysis of Knockin' on Heaven's Door.

So this is really an open to debate kind of video.

I'm going to give you my analysis, my opinion, the results of my research.

But please in the comment section give me your opinion.

And if you don't agree with anything or if you have your own interpretation and own ideas,

then just share them with the community.

That's what it's all about.

Okay, so let's get to it!

So, Knocking on Heaven's Door is one of those songs that's been around for ages.

So it was first recorded in the 1970's, in 73.

But since then it's kind of, some people say, transcended what it was to become a song that

has been interpreted and covered in so many different ways, even by Bob Dylan himself.

Where if you have a look at some of the videos that our in the description, you'll notice

in fact that Bob Dylan, when he sings it actually adds lyrics, changes the rythm, he really

does a lot of very many different things.

So it's a song that I would say is really open to interpretation and I kind of treat

it musically and in the words like you would a jazz standard.

Basically meaning, you have a lot of freedom with what you can do.

So let's have a look at the lyrics now.

So what is the song about?

Well, the song actually comes from a movie, it was written for a movie, that's why Bob

Dylan wrote it.

And I believe it's actually written to describe, what Patt Garrett, one of the main characters

of the movie was feeling when he had to gun down and shoot his former comrads who were

outlaws.

Because he had just become the sheriff.

So actually when people talk about the song they say it has to do with death, and well

it is Knockin' on Heaven's Door...

So that is logical, but if you listen and look at the lyrics a bit closer, he FEELS

like he's knocking on heaven's door.

What I think is meant in the beginning is that it's really Pat Garret that actually

has to kill his former friends, but he's actually kind of killing himself.

Because he used to be an outlaw as well.

That's really what I think the song is about.

To describe this tension, this feeling that Pat Garrett has, where he feels like he's

knockin on heaven's door, he feels like he's dying, basically, because, he's shooting,

killing all these people.

So he kind of identifies with the people he's killing.

And that's really brought about in the movie because they start with this (...)

And that kind of thing arrives at the moment where one of the characters has just been

shot, one of Pat Garrett's former friends.

And when they start saying the "Mama take this badge off of me ", the camera lense is

focused on Patt Garret, the sheriff

That's what I think it's all about.

So in short, it's about describing that Pat Garrett a sheriff has when he has to kill

his former brothers and also by doing that kill who he used to be.

And that's why he feels like he's knockin' on heaven's door, because he's unhappy about

it well he feels to an extent that he's killin himself.

That I think is the original story behind the lyrics.

So let's have a look at Bob Dylan's version.

Right so what I would say when you start to analyse people's version is that unsurprisingly

you see elements of their personality that crop in.

So Bob Dylan's version is actually quite simple, melodically, I'm talking about.

It stays in a very small range.

A major sixth: D3-B3.

So that's relatively speaking range.

Depending on who you are, when you shout you kind of go higher than that.

So he's not shouting, he's talking.

And also the rythm is complicated, but very close to talking and how a cowboy might talk.

So it's kind of a drawl: "I ain't gonna talk to you".

(that's not how a cowboy sounds)

"I ain't talkin to you partner, you talkin to me?"

"I ain't gonna do that"

You know that kind of like, the drawl...that is present int he Bob Dylan kind of way...

The beats are a bit peculiar and you can see that he's not a trained musician because of

the way these beats land in their own little space.

It was actually quite difficult for me to transcribe.

So if you have a transcription of the whole Bob Dylan melody that you want to share with

me, so that we can compare notes, go for it!

Because it's really quite difficult, tricky, to know what he's doing, musically speaking.

And also, that this transcription has nothing to do, this is normally based on the original,

with how he sings it live.

He just sings it however it comes through his head.

He's really going to sing it the first time like "(...)

Or he could sing it like (...)

Or he could sing it some other way.

Normally, he keeps the same chords.

But, he really could sing it any old way.

I've actually seen him sing it with a capo.

I've seen him sing it in all sorts of ways.

(...)

Or god knows what.

So really he does what he wants and he can do and he's an artist and voil!

So no real, I'd say, rigor would be the word that I'm looking for.

So, now, let's have a look at the Guns N' Roses version.

So, as you can see the Guns N Roses version is quite different.

And one of the first things that stands out is the huge range which is put forward by

mister Axl Rose.

2 octaves D3-D5.

That's pretty big.

Because he starts singing in the same range as Bob Dylan (...)

And goes all the way to (...) and higher than that with the (...)

And even higher, so Axl Rose likes showing his pipes.

You can also see that other elements of his personality are in the song.

The fact that he goes (...) on the 4th beat.

Very Axl rose like.

He also sings a blues note so the Bb that he plays on Knockin' on Heaven's Door is really

a blues note because it's not part of the G major scale.

So that's something that's real typical of Axl rose that wants to show that he is Axl

Rose and he knows how blues and stuff works.

And then there is the whole element of Slash's solo which is integral to the song, which

is really nice.

Where the Guns N' Roses, I think sometimes get criticism for their version of Knockin'

on Heaven's door, and I must say I like their version, but I do understand the criticism

is that hey kind of made a real big noise out of the song.

When your knocking on heaven's door and they go like "(...)".

That's a hard knock.

That's a bash, you're basing on heaven's door.

I think that some of the older generation don't appreciate it as much.

But I think they brought the song to the nineties so, I like their version, even if I do understand

the criticism.

When you see the evolution of the song; knocking on heaven's door has been covered by many

artists actually notably: Bon Jovi, Eric Capton (...)

Also the Guns N' Roses has a whole load of political thing, that I never really got in

to.

I never listened to what he said, rank subjugation whatever...

Maybe I should have...I didn't really get it.

What I was trying to say is that the Guns N' Roses have integrated all the elements

of different artists and actually if you see Knockin' on heaven's door, it's been covered

with people who have big voices.

In jam sessions with Bob Dylan,Bob Dylan singing with famous stars from the 70's.

And so that's why I think that Knockin' on Heaven's Door by the Guns N'Roses does make

sense when you see the progression of the song.

So that's really what I would say about their version.

And so my version, before we talk about my version.

Let's talk about, how I woud make it your version.

So there are many things you can do, you can inspire yourself consciously or unconsciously

from other people.

So you can think, oh, I like that chord prorgression, I like what he did, I like the noises he made

with his guitar, I like the distorsion.

All those things you can say, okay, I like those elements.

And actually when you're playing a cover, you're also playing to people.

So you have to, I think incorporate elements that they can sing a long to and recognise.

Otherwise, if you get this is my cover of "some song".

And then people don't recognise the song, then that's not what I do but what some jazz

musicians do.

I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that, but it's true.

I think that you sould still try and make it relatable.

Where you can make it really your own, is obviously with your voice and with the elements

of the song and the folklore and evolution of the song that you like I would say.

If you like the cowboy elements of Bob Dylan then you can kind of "..."

Give it some kind of the little jolt, little flavour, inspiring yourself from the cowboy

elements, the Bob Dylan drawl...

If you really like the insane vocals then do the insane vocals la Axl Rose but make

sure you have the instrumentation to match.

I didn't want to go that route, maybe I will in the future.

But I felt the kind of tranquil peace of Knockin' on Heaven's Door.

Knocking on it, not bashing it down.

So that's what I did.

So my cover, as I explained, that tranquility is what I really wanted to push forward.

And it kind of evolved, I've played it in different ways and it's kind of a story of

it's own existence, I guess.

And what I would say is that I took some elements of the things that I liked from other artists

and then I tried to make it my own.

By actually singing with my own voice, whatever that means.

I'll make a video actually about singing with your own voice if you want me to because I

think that it is a subject which is often not so well discussed.

And I'll give you my own personal experience because, I don't know if you saw it with those

immitations but I actually am quite a good immitator.

I can immitate voices if I want to and work on it but it's not what I wanted to do, I

wanted it to sound like me whatever that is.

And sometimes sounding like you is difficult because I speak with a british accent so how

should I interpet an American song?

If I went like (...)

Well it could work, maybe I should do that but I didn't really want to because I hear

American accents and it worked for me in American.

And if you're singing Purple Haze.

And you're doing a British accent it won't work, will it.

It doesn't really sound right, does it?

I'll make a video about that if you want me to.

My cover, what I liked was the simplicity of Knockin' on Heaven's Door that Bob Dylan

put forward, so that's why I simplified the rythm in the beginning.

Because I wanted to let my voice go though it.

Simple rythm.

The second time I take some of the rythm because it's a hard sentence to say and not break

it up in a complicated rythm.

(...) That is absolutely boring, so I had to keep some of the rythm, there.

I wanted to make it simple and I wanted to make it eerie and give more of a progression.

And integrate all the elements of the A minor, C major, A minor7.

And tell a story through them.

So that's what I did also, I love the Slash solo and so I wanted to integrate elements

of that solo in my singing.

But I didn't want to do it note for note.

I could have learned that and that would have been pretty interesting.

But I wanted to just find a solo that went with what I was singing.

So it's a lot simpler.

But it communicates what I wanted to and gave that solo that I wanted to.

And then so the ending, as I keep saying sometimes when I play live I actually just end on the

C major.

And that's quite interesting because if you end on the C major it's as if you were doing

G major all the time and that's your home but really it's C major.

So you are actually passed away.

But in the recording I ended on the G because it sounded good too.

So you can really do what you want there.

I think that wraps it up, I hope I've given you some ideas and some tips on interpretation,

lyrics etc.

Why we need alcohol-free queer spaces | Riley J. Dennis - Duration: 6:11.

When you think of queer community spaces, what do you think of?

Probably gay bars, I'm guessing?

And there's good reason for that -- there are quite a lot of gay bars in cities around

the world, and they've played an important role in shaping queer communities over the

last few decades.

But I think we need something different now -- not to replace gay bars but to live alongside

them as another option for queer people.

Because, for all the good that gay bars have done and continue to do for some people, they

can't be the end-all-be-all of our community spaces.

I mean, for one, gay bars are often mainly focused on catering to cis gay men, and while

that's nice for them, lots of queer people are not cis gay men, and we'd like a place

that caters to us as well.

Plus, while some queer folks thrive in loud, hectic environments late at night, lots of

us just don't feel comfortable in the bar/club scene or can't even cope with all that stimulation.

But in addition to all of that, there's another big reason we need something other

than gay bars and clubs: alcohol.

Now look, this isn't like an anti-alcohol tirade or anything, don't worry.

I know lots of people love alcohol and can drink responsibly and all that.

But I think it's super important for our community that we have the option to go to

safe social areas where drinking isn't expected of us.

Obviously, I'm a little biased here because I don't drink alcohol, but I'm not alone in that.

Lots and lots of queer folks don't drink, and so when all of our social situations revolve

around alcohol, it can be really isolating for us.

We either have to turn down invitations because we don't want to drink, or go and probably

be pressured to drink.

And I don't just mean being pressured to drink by our friends -- because really, if

your friends are pressuring you to drink in the first place, they're not very good friends.

But I also just mean that the bar/club scene itself obviously encourages drinking.

The atmosphere pressures you to drink.

The whole venue is set up so that you spend money on alcohol.

Most everyone there drinks, so even if they don't directly pressure you, there can still

be a pressure to just fit in and drink like everyone else.

So you're basically choosing between missing out on social events or going and feeling

like an outsider anyway.

And obviously there are exceptions to this.

Like I have gone out with my friends and not drank and had a good time.

It is possible to go to a bar or club and not drink and still have a good time.

But it's not the norm.

That place isn't catering to you, it's catering to people who drink.

It's one thing to try and exist in a place that's not built for you -- it's another

to exist in a place specifically built for people like you.

I mean, that's what gay bars were made for in the first place.

Queer people were violently excluded from spaces made for cishet people, so they made

their own places.

Places that were built for them and their needs, so they could feel comfortable and

not like an outsider just trying to fit in.

But now, it's clear that even in those places -- those gay bars -- a bunch of queer people

still feel like outsiders, just for different reasons.

Now it's not because they're queer but because they don't drink or something like that.

So I think it's important to realize that while gay bars have served tons of people

really well, they've also excluded a whole bunch of us.

And while that can be irritating for people like me who choose not to drink, it can be

devastating for people who have addiction problems with alcohol.

Like, the bar/club atmosphere encourages you to drink, and for some people that's not

a problem; it's easy for me to say no to a drink because I don't have problems with addiction.

But for alcoholics, it's not as simple as "just say no to a drink".

Addiction is never that simple.

What's a mildly annoying social pressure to me is a super powerful addiction-driven

pressure to an alcoholic.

Every time they're offered a drink or in an environment that encourages drinking, it's

another opportunity for them to relapse.

The more they're around that, the more they're likely to relapse.

But if, knowing that, they remove themself from that situation, they end up isolating

themself even more -- and social isolation can also lead to relapsing.

So it's a lose-lose situation for recovering alcoholics in the queer community.

You either go out with your friends and have to constantly fight your addictive urges throughout

the night, or you don't go out with your friends, which could make you isolated and

depressed, which could then lead to an increase in your addictive urge to drink.

The fact that the queer social scene so commonly revolves around alcohol isn't only annoying

or inconvenient or inaccessible, it can be life-ruining for some people.

Alcoholism is no joke, and it's a problem in queer communities because of our reliance

on bars and clubs.

It's because of all that that we need social spaces that don't revolve around alcohol.

Queer people need a safe place to be themselves, and bars can't do that for all of us.

We need things like cafes, community centers, libraries, bookstores, and other sorts of

communal areas.

Having a place to meet up and connect with other queer people is so vitally important

to our community, and places like these provide that for queer folks who don't want to go

to gay bars.

I mean, they even provide that for queer folks who also want to go to gay bars -- there's

no reason they need to be mutually exclusive.

What we really need is different kinds of community spaces co-existing so that people

can go wherever they're most comfortable.

And these places aren't just going to pop up out of nowhere.

If you're queer and don't have these spaces around you, think about making them.

I know it can be expensive and difficult to run something like that, so I'm not saying

that you need to -- but if you have the means, I'm sure your local queer community would

absolutely love it.

In fact, just last year, a couple of folks opened up a queer coffee shop in LA called Cuties.

This video is not sponsored by them, I just absolutely love Cuties.

I went there all the time when I lived in LA, and it's exactly the kind of community

space that we need.

It's a place where you can go during the day and be comfortable -- a kind of home away

from home.

They also hold all sorts of events after hours and often let other groups host stuff there.

It's just the inclusive, community-oriented kind of place that the queer community in

LA was sorely lacking before then.

So if you're in LA, please check them out, I'll link their info in the description.

But also, regardless of where you're located, if you'd like to support Cuties, I'll

link their Patreon down below.

They're currently trying to raise money in an effort to stay open, and I just love

this place so much, it would break my heart to see them close down.

So please, if you can, support them on Patreon.

They're even offering some cool perks depending on what level you support them at.

And especially if you're not queer, this would be a great way to directly financially

support queer people and have an impact in our community.

Queer folks are more likely than cishet folks to have money, employment, and housing problems

-- so projects like these require the support of non-queer people too.

Anyway, regardless of whether you're queer or not, please check out Cutie's Patreon

linked in the description and consider helping them out.

And if you have your own local queer spaces that aren't based around alcohol, please

support them as well -- or even start your own!

This is something we really need not just in LA but everywhere.

Alcohol-free queer spaces can be life-changing for people, and we desperately need more of them.

So yeah, that's everything I had for you today.

Thanks so much for watching, and I'll see you next time.

A week at the Vegan Surf Camp - Duration: 22:00.

So I'm about to leave for the Vegan Surf Camp, And I'm so not ready, as you can see

I hate packing, It stresses me out

Should I take my straightener? Should I not take my straightener?

Should I give up on the thought of having any hairstyle this week?

After all, we'll be camping, Which brings me to my 2nd fear

Errr I hate

camping

Actually just the thought of sleeping in a tent... Do I have my earplugs?

Wait, if you were earplugs, Where would you be ?

Yeah I also brought toilet paper just in case

Yeah cause another one of my fears is.. Got the earplugs!

Another one of my fears is that

I can't poop in a public toilet

Appart from that I'm really glad to be going because

We'll be surfing, we'll be eating I'm going with my best friend and it's going to be awesome

Oh do you want to see my shirt?

weeeeee

It's a cat giving the finger Best way to make an impression

Lazy tips: when you don't have time to blow dry your hair

Just blow and straighten the front part

Only for the people facing you Give no shit about the other ones

So my suitcase is finally ready

Just drinking some tea to trigger a last minute safety poo

If I could just get rid of that before I left then I wouldn't have to worry about the toilet issue upon arrival

I'm giving you a great tip here

If you need to go poo just try drinking tea or hot water even

Works pretty well

So

It's late, so let's go

Shit It was here

What should I do?

Is there a spot for me? yes

Did I just manage the perfect parallel park ?

Absolutely not

It's a disaster

Oh look, here's my friend

Hi

- What's up - I'm a bit stressed, so brought my whole house

That's all you've got? Girl I brought so much more

We just arrived at camping Les Cigales (= Cicadas)

*chirping*

Yeah it's a camping.. Oh look a small camping car

- There's a golf cart yeah - I'm starting to have a panic attack

We're going to ask our way

I think we're getting warm Those tents look all the same

If my geographical estimations are correct

I think we're here Let's take a minute to

- let that sink in - Actually I'm fine

I was expecting the tents to be smaller

It looks fine

Are those the toilets?

I'm starting to feel uncomfortable

Let's find the leader of that camp

We're about to find where we'll be sleeping for a week

And it seems to be close to the showers

Which means close to the toilet

Which means lots of noise. Lots of smells.

Tadaaaa

Oh shit

So this is our tent

- Claire is super happy with her bed - And I've got a laaaamp

It's 6:30 she's so happy with her bed she's already in it

- Are you comfy? - I'm comfy

We can hear the road though

No I won't lie on it, I'm dirty

Do you think the sheets are clean?

Is that a bug?

I'll try to set up my things

You can clearly see which ones are Claire's clothes

And which ones are mine

Happy

Sad

Claire is a true Vegan Claire carries her B12 with her

We unanimously decided she's getting the left side, and I'm getting the right side

So here's my bed

There were already sheets but I put my own in between

because I don't want to have any contact with anything I dont know

I should have brought mood candles

- But you've got your lamp - I've got my lamp

- That makes all the difference - Demonstration

- You might get a date with that - I might get a date

I'll tell them « Well do you have a lamp in YOUR tent? »

- Hey, wanna see my lamp? - Hey, wanna see my lamp?

On a less funny note, we went for our first camping pee

It went well for you, didn't it?

- Well I first encountered the "occupied" toilets - Aaah

- So I left them.. - So you didn't warn me?

Well

I.. I.. yeah..

I thought about it, but then I didn't

- Ok - Voila

So there was a toilet that was already.. pretty full

And we're just across the toilets so there is no much distance to walk in case I ever wanted to poop

but that's not gonna happen

I'll get a notepad and rate the timing, the regularity, the quantity, the weight, the texture, the colour

Yeah, that will be this week's main challenge

After setting down, we had our first diner at the vegan surf camp

which was delicious and had so many choices

The next day

So, I survived the first camping night

I slept quite well. Woke up a few times, but not too much.

It's 8:30, breakfast is at 9:00 and I'd like to get a shower first if the showers are not taken by storm already

This is where it's happening

Let it be known that I'll be wearing my flip flops inside

It's 8:40 and I'm clean

Operations were carried out with haste

There is no thingy to set the shower temperature I found that quite disturbing at first

But frankly the temperature was quite confortable

Excuse me, hello, are there any fixed hours for cleaning?

- In the morning we come at 6:00 and 9:00 - yeah

Let's keep up with the rest of operations

Ugh my face. Fuck.

Also I couldn't find my bra. So I'm on #freethenipple mode.

Thanks to that nice toilet guy I found out about the cleaning hours

The safe hours.

Hi

- Bonjour - *protestive grunt*

You're mean

So it's day 2, we woke up, had breakfast which was really good, lots of choices salty and sweet, we loved it

We found out about our surf groups. The week roster is displayed at the lobby

Claire and I will have 5 surf sessions, on each day starting tomorrow.

Our group is not surfing today, which is fine by us

For our 1st day we'll just chill, have a walk around, maybe go to the beach

Also we made our first poop attempt in camping toilet

Which was a success

A partial one but still a success And in this situation every victory counts

Today is a win day That's cool

Tonight is the beach party, so we're planing to go to the local supermarket to get some beers

And this afternoon we might try the yoga class

In your 20's like : Going to the beach in 5min? No problem

In your 30's:

In your 30's: I'm ready !

Claire?

Claire?

Fuck

You sleeping?

Fuck off

- Can we go swimming? - Fuck off

Can we go swimming?

Yeah we're going

Then we enjoyed another delicious diner, before heading to the beach party

The next day

*coughs*

I can see you

- Hi - Hi

- Are you fine? - yes

- Ready to go surfing? - yes

So we had our first surf class this morning

With a bit of theoric explanations at first on how to handle the board, stand on it, etc

Then we practiced in the water, that was nice. There were a lot of people because it's high season

It was a bit difficult today because the waves were 2.50 meters high offshore and a bit messy

The class had to be interrupted earlier because a tourist was drowming outside the swimming area

The whole beach was evacuated so they could rescue him. He didn't drown so it was fine in the end.

This afternoon we'll be relaxing, chilling, reading

And then we'll try the yoga class again, because we enjoyed it yesterday

- Surfing was good this morning? - Surfing was good this morning

- Did you have fun ? - I had fun

- Were you scared? - I was scared

- But then is was fine - yes, then I succeeded

- Ok great. Are you happy? - Yes, I'm happy

Then we decided to relax at the yoga class

And we ate again

In between two sessions we'd often stay at our tents to chill, read, write, and mostly chat

Well I have a friend who's throwing me a surprised party for my new job contract

But if it's a surprise, how would you know?

I'm a bit of an exhibitionnist

I'm a bit of a tight ass

You don't say! You're *sighs*

*coughs*

Stop pretending to be sick, I can tell you're not working. I won't feel sorry for you.

I hate it when boys come but they don't make any noise

- I know right - I feel insulted

- Is 🐥noisy? - Errrrr

I'm going to need a lot of massages

- Are you asking your ex to give you a massage? - yes

Sounds like a great idea

I don't care, I could even give you a massage. I mean it wouldn't be a big deal, nothing would happen.

- I know, but you're saying it like we've done that before. - True, we havent

Yes that's nice, yes I like that yeeees

- Wait, are you filming? - Maybe

- Don't scream - What is it?

- Don't panic? - What? What is it? Is there a bug?

- Dont move, I'll take it off - Stop? What? What? Is it on my head?

What is it? Take it off? What is it?

Time to stuff our faces

More food

If you're camping and you can't crap, here's some advice: have a green tea

Or a coffee with milk soy milk obviously

Both are pretty effective And for better results I thought I'd combine them today

*coughs*

Meanwhile, Claire is dying.

Claire is allergic to sunlight, holidays, happiness, well being

- I have to leave right away. I'm allergic.

- Oh you're allergic? To sunlight, canoes, horses? - Yes

At times those techniques can be a bit too effective and accidents happen

- Fucking gross. How could you do that? - Sorry

- I swear it smells like a rotten egg - It's just, I ate too much

If you ever had any respect for me, how could you do this to me?

Fuck. You disgust me

- Are we still friends? - I don't think so, no

So, Simone, it's been 2 hours of you planning stuff, can you tell us more about your method?

I'm writing down all scheduled activities this week, every single yoga class, group event, and every surf class

that was assigned to our group

Voila

Really

And we're going to miss every event planned this week

We are going to miss the cooking class and the beach cleaning with Surf Rider Foundation. That's a pity.

We asked about that this morning but we were told that "C'est la vie" (=It is what is is)

One of the things I enjoyed the most were outside yoga classes

I found the sound of the wind in the branches very soothing

But I can only relax for so long

Claire?

Did you poop this morning?

Do you realize you completely ruined my whole strategy?

Do you realize

That toilet roll was opened from the core, it was all calculated

So as to avoid the outside being contaminated by the surrounding filth

- No, I - And I had kept it protected in it's plastic wrapping

See?

Look, now it looks like a tiny mouse tore it appart What happened?

- Look how it is - But you know I haven't taken it to the toilets, so it has not been contaminated

- I tore some of it before I left - Uhh

- You're living on the edge, what if you had not taken enough? - I took a lot of it

- That's not very environmentally friendly - Ok I had just enough

That week we also met some amazing people

especially Marco, Anja and Holly whom we hung out a lot with

Holly likes to make jokes

But Claire doesn't always get them

- One, Two, Three, Four - yes - Four, Five

Still not? Four sank. Cinq = 5 = sank - CINQ

After diner that night, it was surf theory class

On wednesday night we went to the beach for night time yoga and surf

As we had nothing planed on thursday afternoon, Claire, Marco, Anja, Hollie & I went to the beach

Claire painted our faces and took some picture for her oncoming project which I'll tell you about very soon

Your plate is so nicely organized. Wanna see mine?

- Yours is a bit more chaotic - As always

You can tell I've been thinking this through It was thoroughly calculated

The next day

Oh Shit

Live story-time. I still have sunscreen on my eyebrows. It's important to protect your eyebrows.

We went surfing this morning and

At the end of the session, I stepped on a weever fish

You can't tell anymore but my feet was all swollen, I got stung right here under my big toe

At first I thought it was just a small cut, but then I couldn't walk and it was really hurting

I thought I was being a sissy

But then it really hurt

Then I started acting out a bit

No, I'm kidding I was really hurt

- And Claire saved me - All this just so you'd get carried by the surf instructor

- Yeah but mostly so we wouldn't have to carry the boards back to camp

It worked pretty well

Except for Claire who had to carry my board and hers And she had to save me

My hero voila

Best friend to go on holiday with

Since Claire was hero or the day I offered her some oreos

To thank her for the bravery

Was it worth it?

I'm still weighting the pros and cons

So here it is, this is the end of this vlog on my week at the Vegan Surf Camp

We spent an amazing time, eating, relaxing We met lovely and inspiring people

I really appreciated the fact that the camp was committed into being more sustainable

buy only local and seasonal goods, with the least impact on the environment

They do not use any plastic bottles or disposable dishes,

They try to use the most eco-friendly materials to build the camp

And of course they reduce and recycle their waste

However I think communication and organisation could be improved

Regarding the scheduling of classes or activities, Informations were not always clear and promesses not always kept

Also when I hurt my foot I barely got any assistance

Nevertheless it was an amazing experience

And, wait have I told you about the food?

Breathedge building the Scanner and Medkit - Duration: 5:55.

Hey it's Ricardo and welcome back to breadth edge that tongue-in-cheek space

survival game some are saying it's a bit like subnautica in space me I think it's

a bit much more than that you've got the cheesy music you've got

the ability to hit loads of things with hammers I'm really enjoying it now as

you float around and you pick up all these things like I don't know oxygen

candles and condoms and stuff you wonder how do I get a med kick you've seen it

in their toilet how would you get it but let's pick the old like and subscribe

button before we get any further down the line look for the notification icon

as well and ring that notification bell and that'll let you know where I'm

putting more videos of this on YouTube now to get a scanner you're gonna need a

light bulb and a few other items as well the light bulb you'll find in the pink

area going over to that very cheesy lamp that hasn't impaled anybody you can get

a light bulb taking that back all the way to the shuttle bearing in mind that

probably they get the best thing out of this you can have to make an additional

oxygen bladder or oxygen tank out of a condom and some rubber and some

electrical tape and you will see that and one of my other videos get him back

in over to the workstation into the work desk you can see we've got a light bulb

we've got lots of metal we've got plastic what can we possibly

make so over to equipment into tools there's the scanner I need a battery now

you can pick batteries up basically from going out there and hitting speakers or

hitting radio recorders or just generally hitting some of the crates

they're quite plentiful getting a battery in our inventory with our

plastic with our light bulb is gonna allow us to now craft a scanner as a

light bulb metal battery and plastic and there's our scan over the durability of

15 now looks a little bit like ye oldie Russian camcorder and you would be

forgiven for thinking that but we're going to equip that in the slot for

now we've got slot four we can open the toilet door scan the medical kit and get

a blueprint for a medical kit which i think is very handy point of note if

your health is getting down to the limit and you know you don't like your health

being less than 50 percent or 70 percent or even less for you can go over to the

bed area and rest as you rest your health will increase however the food

and drink supplies that you have will decrease because you're spending time

resting and your body is gonna consume food and water while you do that

so you haven't necessarily gotta have a first aid kit you can build one if you

like I've built one there it is with the items I've got one and I can use that

and restore my health should I want to but Pointer case if you want a good tip

just go and rest on the bed its food and water everywhere quite literally

everywhere so I'd make the most of it and perhaps not use the items on a

medical kit but instead use it on something a bit more worthwhile

okay there's top tip so there you go we've built the scanner which will gain

us access to some of the other rooms that have got the oxygen equipment in

other parts of the wreckage and that's out and about elsewhere in the wreckage

area but you're now able to go and scan things at the big television you can

scan locks and stuff like that so that scanner I think is probably

going to pay a more integral part as and when the developers release additional

chapters to the game but here we are going up to the oxygen Bay you'll notice

there's a locked door and you'll need a scanner for it you scan it thank you

very much the door opens and as it's the oxygen generation point for the entire

ship you start the generate oxygen and your oxygen gets replenished you can

remove the oxygen generator some rubber covering on some of the deck

plates as well need she is for that you can get additional rubber and of course

you can stick your chicken we were mrs. stick that chicken in that

electrical duct as well she don't incur any damage this is a good staging point

good jumping-off point to get to where you want to go exploring a little bit

further like I say use the shears and cut a big gaping hole in that rubber

rubber cladding on that one particular deck plate so there you have it that was

getting the scanner getting using the scanner to gain access that other parts

of the map that you didn't have access to finding the oxygen station and of

course making a medkit I've been Ricardo thanks very much for watching short

video here on breadth edge look out for more videos in the series this is a

great game I'm really enjoying it I hope you are too

let me know in the comments if you liked it check out the discord and I'll see

you soon
