Welcome to a new episode and today I'm in the Steel City, which is Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.
Behind me you have a city with a rich history and has a huge connection to a man named Andrew
Carnegie.
In fact, you'll see his name on many buildings out here.
Who was Andrew Carnegie?
He was a poor Scottish immigrant that eventually became business tycoon that made a huge fortune
in the steel industry.
In today's dollars he would be worth about $4.8 billion dollars.
So how did he go from a poor Scottish immigrant tap into his full potential?
He did it through what he called his "10 Rules for Success."
So let's do a quick breakdown of these 10 rules.
Number 1.
Define your purpose.
Create a plan of action and start working towards it immediately.
Number 2.
Create a "master-mind alliance."
It's important to connect and work with people who has skills and connections that
you don't have yet.
Number 3.
Go the extra mile.
Doing more than you have to do.
Add more value than what you are paid to do.
Number 4.
Practice "applied faith."
It means believing in yourself and your purpose so much that you act with complete confidence.
Number 5.
Have personal initiative.
It's being a self starter.
It's being able to act independently without being told what to do.
Number 6.
Indulge your imagination.
Dare to think beyond what's already been done.
Number 7.
Exert enthusiasm.
A positive attitude sets you up for success and wins the respect and admiration of others.
Number 8.
Think accurately.
You have to be able to separate fact from fiction, and take that information and apply
to your life.
Number 9.
Concentrate your effort.
Don't become distracted.
There is so much clutter out there and so many distractions.
Focus on one thing at a time.
And Number 10.
Profit from adversity.
Remember that there is an equivalent benefit for every setback that you have.
There is always opportunity from your setbacks.
So that's Andrew Carnegie's 10 Rules of Success.
I would encourage you to rewatch this video, take notes, and write down all 10 rules and
ponder what they mean.
I know as you study each rule further, it will help you reach your full potential.
So if you are ready to take yourself to a higher level…Start applying Carnegie's
10 rules for success.
Now that you know the 10 rules, it's time to sign off.
