In today's episode we'll be giving you
a quick recap of the Domination Series Grand Final.
We'll be announcing a new parkour contest and telling you about a new series of contests.
Last weekend saw the dramatic showdown between All Kind and Synergy,
the two top eSports clans who battled it out for the title of Domination Series Champions,
plus the Acid paint, Spectrum M-B module, and millions of crystals.
The match was a spectacular 8 rounds of heated combat and technical prowess.
All Kind carried away the first 2 rounds,
with Synergy holding them at bay and winning the 5th and 7th round.
Unfortunately for them, their efforts proved in vain,
as All Kind got their act together and took away the 8th round,
winning the Grand Final with a result of 3 - 2.
Besides being entertained by the exciting show put on by our gladiators,
viewers of the livestream also received special treats in the form of giveaways!
Overall, Domination Series Season 2 has been a success,
and the eSports team is already planning its next events.
So keep your eyes on the news.
While we're on the topic of eSports,
you might remember that last week, Cedric, our international community manager,
announced a special tournament for tandem teams, in the XP/BP format,
and played in Space mode.
Registrations are currently open, and many teams have already signed up.
We expect this event to be a ton of fun,
and there are some really neat prizes up for grabs,
including thousands crystals, and the cool Lunar Soil paint for the winners.
If you have a buddy and you're both ranked Captain or higher,
you definitely don't wanna miss this tournament.
But hurry up, registrations close one minute before midnight on August 3rd!
If you're one of those tankers
who'd rather be up in the air than down on the floor,
you're in for a treat, because there's a new parkour contest coming!
The contest will be called, Parkour Survival.
Every week, the participating teams will be given a parkour challenge to complete.
We'll start simple at first, so that everyone can get their feet wet.
Those teams who can finish the challenge,
will win a prize and move on to the next stage.
Those who don't manage, will be eliminated.
With every stage, the challenges will get much more demanding,
and the prizes much bigger, until eventually, only one team remains.
The best part is that, even if you and your team are total Parkour amateurs,
you will probably be able to complete at least the first three or four stages,
and win a few prizes.
Registrations will be opening in the coming days,
so watch out for the special thread
where we'll be announcing the full details, as well as the prizes.

The shape is very special,
this triangle or trapezoid shape here.
And the roof, of course, this wave shape there.
So that was the challenge, building it using Lego blocks.
Around 20,000 blocks and 110 hours.
Oh, that's a small Easter egg a friend of mine made.
We thought it would be really funny to put in a tiny Nutella jar there
on the desk on the top floor – and have all the bosses fight over it.
Inside the building we have a little figure standing on a springboard.
A little duck here.
That's a pianist there. I thought it would be fun to show what's inside – that it's a concert hall.
The interior is all based on imagination
because I'd never been inside
and it was extremely hard to recreate the proportions based on photos
– the concert hall is very curvy.
So I just decided to use my imagination.
The parts for the balconies aren't particularly rare.
They're actually wheel arches that have been turned around.
And the roof is made of nets from the police Lego series.
On top of that we've attached a block at the back and at the front
to create a textured pad that can be beautifully adjusted to the curved form of the roof.

Today as you can see I received a big package from G&G
A package which has been sent to me generously by G&G
This package contains two guns : the brand new ARP9, which is an AEG
And a second gun : the GPM92, which is quite new from G&G, a GBB replica of a M9A1
So let's open the box now
Here we have the GPM92, it's not the subject of this video so I'll put it away for now, I'll make a video about it later
And here we have the G&P ARP9
So we have the gun, 300 bbs high cap mag, some bbs, a booklet and a cleaning rod
G&G also included some goodies for me, under the plastic shell, they have been very generous with me

Here we have gloves, which are Mechanix gloves with G&G logo on them

For those who don't know, don't hesitate to take a look at it

It's a shooting competition organised by G&G, which seems to be a lot of fun
I never participated to it, I only saw some pictures and videos of it, I'll put links in the description if you want to take a look
So this was for the goodies, now let's focus on the gun
Note here the "customer rewards" card, you get a coupon for a lotery every time you buy a G&G gun, don't forget it if you buy a G&G gun
And here is the G&G ARP9, to be honest I have no idea what "ARP9" is supposed to mean
The precedent G&G gun I tried, the CM16, well I knew that "CM" meant "Combat Machine"
But in this case, I'm not sure... If you know, don't hesitate to write a comment about it
This isn't, I think, an actual replica of an actual gun
But it does look like a gun which could exist
A lot of people seem to think that this gun look like a Sig MPX, which I guess does look a little bit like the ARP9 G&G
In both case you have a "AR15" type of gun using 9mm magazines
But as far as I'm concerned it doesn't look like a MPX but like a ATI MIL Sport 9mm
The angle of the magazine is right
On some 9mm AR15, you get some UZI magazines, which are perpendicular to the body
In this case, the magazine are parralel to the magwell, mostly, just like the ATI Mil Sport 9mm
Another detail : the AR15 type charging handle, which is still here
On the G&G model, it looks a bit like a Batman logo...
It's ambidextrous, for the record
It can be used to pull the fake bolt in order to adjust the hop up
So this what about the real guns, but what do we have here from G&G ?
We have an AEG, with a motor, a Gear Box, etc
It's not a full metal gun : the lower and upper receiver of the gun are made of plastic
The hand guard is made of metal, it's CNC aluminum, I believe it's anodised
It's a M-LOK hand guard, which I think is the first I'm showing on my channel
"M-LOK" is another type of standard for accessorie attachments, the idea is that you have holes here in which you can put M-LOK compatible accessories
Pretty much like the Keymod system
This is the magazine you get with the gun, it looks a lot like a Glock extended mag to me, especially the magazine floor plate
It's a 300 bbs high capacity magazine, with the usual wheel under it
60 bbs midcap magazines should be available later
As said before the gun has been sent to me for free by G&G, thanks a lot to G&G for that
Just like the CM16, this gun shouldn't be too expensive, it appears to be available in Asia for about 200 USD
In Europe, I believe it will be sold betweem 200 and 300 euros
What other things can I say about this gun... It comes with 2 interesting parts : the ETU (Electronic Trigger Unit) and a mosfet which I can show you
Here is the back of the gun, with the PDW style stock ; you unlock it like this, it's a 2 positions stock
A good idea from G&G has been to make a large battery compartment nonetheless
The bad thing being that the stock can't be fully retracted compared to other stocks of the same style, but it's no big deal to me
Note the sling mount here, which is large enough I guess but made of plastic
Let's remove the stock
You can even play without the stock if you want to...
Push this button and remove the battery compartment cap
Inside we have a fuse, mini tamiya connector and the mosfet
This is the same mosfet used in the CM16 I showed on my channel already
This mosfet allows you to change the firing modes
On the gun you have 3 positions : safe, semi auto, full auto
But you can change it and have, instead of the full auto mode, a 3 rounds burst mode
As said before you have the mosfet and the ETU ; both give you several advantages : better reactivity, active breaking
Which means that every time you shoot, the piston will make a full cycle, assuring it won't stay blocked at mid course which can be annoying
Protection from electrical arcs ; the mosfet will also detect if the voltage of your lipo battery is too low
I have this battery which has been generously sent to me by Energy Airsoft not long ago
It's a 11.1V 1400 mAh 25 C, which size seems to be compatible with this gun
Let's try to put it in
Well it goes well inside the compartment, the problem is that I have so much thing to put inside (mosfet, fuse, wires, connectors...) that I'm not sure all will fit
I won't try it yet, for now I'll only show you how the gun shoot

Seems good enough to me !
That's one of the thing I didn't like so much about the CM16 (which was still a nice gun)
The motor of the CM16 seems really weak to me
Also, for the CM16, it wasn't indicated in the booklet that you could use a 11.1V battery
But for the ARP9, according to the data sheet I got from G&G, you can use a 11.1V battery
I don't think the motor is exceptionnal, but with a 11.1V battery, we have nice enough reactivity and rate of fire
I'll show you now how to program the mosfet
Put the gun on semi auto and press the trigger for 10 sec
I heard nothing in particular but now I think it's ok
I let the trigger go
Now if I try full auto : I have 3 rounds burst (it shoot 3 bbs no matter how long I press the trigger)
If I want to go back to full auto, same thing : semi auto and I press the trigger for 10 sec
Now I have full auto again
Let's take a look at the trigger
Like a lot of modern airsoft guns with electronic inside, we have a characteristic trigger with a very short pull
I have a first travel here, then a very weak wall, if I pull just a slight bit more it shots
The trigger reset is almost no existent, releasing the trigger for like half a milimeter is enough
You have to like this kind of trigger, it's really not realistic since you have no mechanical feeling whatsoever
It does allow you to shoot fast though, which I guess is what most airsoft players want
For now I can see that the magazine is a bit hard to engage inside the gun
If I try to put it like this, the mechanism doesn't look, I have to hit the bottom of the mag to fully lock it
It might come from the fact that it's brand new, maybe it will get better with time
But for now I'll have to be careful to fully lock the mag
Let's take a look at the gun from a closer point of view
Then again the body is made of plastic
Like it or not, but it allows the gun to be quite light (2 kg), and since it's also very short, it makes the gun really easy to handle around

Here it's a model with a ring all around the hop up
The fake bolt doesn't stay locked to the rear (the bolt catch doesn't do anything at all)
I don't mind since I like to play around with the charging handle, I prefer when it doesn't lock
Overall I do think it looks really nice, and it's very easy to handle around

A federal cabinet minister has hit out at the absurdity of a colleagues Italian citizenship plight, and used North Korea to make his point.
Christopher Pyne was defending senator Matt Canavan whos resigned from his ministerial duties after discovering his mother registered him when he was 25, without him have to sign an application form.
On that basis Kim Jong-un could make us all citizens of North Korea and wed all have to resign, Mr Pyne told Nine Network on Friday.
He jokingly insisted he would reject it. I dont like Pyongyang. The minister, a fifth-generation Australian, also criticised the Italian citizenship processes.
Quite frankly, what is going on with the Italian government that they will make people citizens of their country without having a signed application form asking to be a citizen, he said.
I think the Australian public are looking at this and thinking, this is the theatre of the absurd, and there has to be come common sense approaches.
Senator Canavan has admitted he considered quitting parliament after discovering what had happened but decided to fight the issue in the High Court.
His resignation from cabinet came after two Greens senators left parliament after also being caught out by section 44 of the constitution, which prohibits a person being elected if they are a dual-citizen.
Labor frontbencher Anthony Albanese insists his party thoroughly checks all its candidates and all its MPs and senators are fine.

War between the US and North Korea is "not unimaginable", America's most senior military officer has said. Marine General Joseph Dunford, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, did not rule out the possibility of a "horrific" conflict.
Although admitting that such a war would involve massive loss of life, General Dunford said it was his duty to prepare military options in order to protect US citizens. Read more Hawaii prepares for possible nuclear attack from North Korea.
Many people have talked about military options with words like unimaginable, he said.
I would probably shift that slightly and say it would be horrific, and it would be a loss of life unlike any we have experienced in our lifetimes, and I mean anyone whos been alive since the Second World War has never seen the loss of life that could occur if theres a conflict on the Korean Peninsula.
But as Ive told my counterparts, both friend and foe, it is not unimaginable to have military options to respond to North Korean nuclear capability.
Whats unimaginable to me is allowing a capability that would allow a nuclear weapon to land in Denver, Colorado. Thats unimaginable to me. So my job will be to develop military options to make sure that doesnt happen..
General Dunford was speaking at the Aspen Security Forum of intelligence and national security officials.
North Korea has continued to test long-range ballistic missiles in recent weeks and is believed to be have developed several nuclear warheads, despite threats of severe consequences from the US and its Western allies.
It is thought Pyongyang does not currently have the technology required to launch a nuclear weapon at the US but Donald Trump has vowed to take strong action against the communist state.
North Korea trading despite nuclear sanctions - Inside the countrys special economic zone On Tuesday, the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) quoted a North Korean foreign ministry spokesman threatening to launch a nuclear attack to "the heart of the US" should the Trump administration attempt to remove President Kim Jong-un from power.
"Should the US dare to show even the slightest sign of attempt to remove our supreme leadership, we will strike a merciless blow at the heart of the US with our powerful nuclear hammer, honed and hardened over time," the spokesman is reported to have said.
The threat was a response to Mike Pompeo, the CIA Director, hinting that US intelligence agencies were considering trying to overthrow the dictator.
Mr Pompeo told the Aspen conference that the US wanted to "separate" North Korea's nuclear weapons from "the character who holds control over them today".

It comes as US defence officials warned that North Korea is planning another inter-continental missile test to coincide with the 27 July anniversary of the end of the Korean War.
Donald Trump has promised to deal "very strongly" with North Korea and said the US is considering "severe things" in response to the missile tests.

US officials have said they fear North Korea may test fire another missile, using the 64th anniversary of the end of the Korean War to mark its new military assertiveness.
Both US and South Korean media have cited intelligence and military officials saying transporter vehicles carrying launching equipment had been seen on the move in North Korea, a suggestion that an imminent test may be underway.
July 27 marks the anniversary of the end of the three-year-long war and is celebrated as Victory Day in North Korea.
"Movements by transporter erector launchers carrying intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) launch tubes have been continuously observed in North Pyongan (province)," a South Korean government source was quoted by the country's Yonhap news agency, according to the AFP.

Reuters quoted unidentified US officials saying they had seen increased North Korean activity at a site in the western city of Kusong that could be preparations for another missile test.

After months of sabre-rattling from Washington, and following a series of missile tests by the East Asian nation, North Korea earlier this month said it had conducted its first test of an ICBM and mastered the technology needed to deploy a nuclear warhead via the missile.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, who personally oversaw the launch, described it as gift to the "American b**tards".
Pyongyang's state media said the test verified the atmospheric re-entry of the warhead, which experts say may be able to reach the US states of Alaska or Hawaii. The news triggered officials in Hawaii to test emergency preparedness.
Despite such concerns, the vice chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff recently said the 4 July test by North Korea stopped short of showing it had the ability to strike the United States "with any degree of accuracy".
The Washington Post reported on Tuesday that the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA), the Pentagon spy agency, had assessed that North Korea will be able to field a nuclear-capable ICBM by next year, earlier than previously thought.

He said: While all agree the US President has the complete power to pardon, why think of that when only crime so far is LEAKS against us.
The Washington Post recently reported that Mr Trump had inquired about the authority he has as President to pardon aides, relatives or even himself in connection with the widening investigation into Russian interference in the election and whether any Trump associates were involved.
No crimes have been committed, Mr Trump maintains.
On Saturday morning, Mr trump sent a flurry of 10 tweets, commenting about pardons, former presidential rival Hillary Clinton, his son Don Jr, health care, the USS Gerald Ford, the attorney general and other issues.

The feat suggests that the isolated country, one of nine nations that together wield more than 14,900 nukes, could strike Alaska.
However, the rest of the US faces a much different and shadowy nuclear threat: a terrorist-caused nuclear detonation, which is one of 15 disasters scenarios that the federal government has planned for — just in case.
National Planning Scenario No. 1 is a 10-kiloton nuclear detonation in a modern US city, Brooke Buddemeier, a health physicist and expert on radiation at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, told Business Insider.
A 10-kiloton nuclear detonation is equivalent to 5,000 Oklahoma City bombings. Though we call it low yield, its a pretty darn big explosion..
Buddemeier couldnt say how likely such an attack might be today. But the concern isnt unfounded, since weapons-grade nuclear materials have proliferated in recent years, along with smaller, kiloton-class bombs.
And while governments do their best to safeguard nuclear-weapons materials, theres no guarantee a terrorist couldnt succeed in obtaining them.
Should a nuclear blast occur near your city or town, and you somehow avoided its searing flash of light, crushing shockwaves, and incendiary fireball, take shelter immediately. You should also have a few items handy in your emergency kit.
Would you have considered Oklahoma City a likely target? Buddemeier said. I think its worthwhile for everybody to think about preparedness for any kind of event..
Buddemeier said the best plan was to round up the emergency supplies on Ready. gov, which are listed at the end of this post.
This isnt just for the nuclear holocaust event, Buddemeier said. This is for general emergency preparedness and making sure that you and your family can be safe in an emergency..
But if youre in a pinch, he said you should grab a few basics while you run for cover from radioactive fallout. Why you should prepare to hunker down for 24-48 hours.
A fearsome after-effect of nuclear blasts is fallout, a complex mixture of fission products (or radioisotopes) created by splitting atoms. Many of these fission products decay rapidly and emit gamma radiation — an invisible yet highly energetic form of light.
Too much exposure to this radiation in a short time can damage the bodys cells and its ability to fix itself, leading to a condition called acute radiation syndrome or sickness.
It also affects the immune system and your ability to fight infections, Buddemeier said. Only very dense and thick materials, like many feet of dirt or inches of lead, can reliably stop the gamma radiation emitted by fallout.
Its also a threat youd be foolish to attempt to escape by driving away in a car or other vehicle.
Your ability to know where the fallouts gonna go, and outrun it, are — well, its very unlikely, he said, because it would be carried by high-altitude winds often booking along at 100 miles per hour.
While rushing to a fallout shelter within the first minutes after a blast, or migrating to a better one, youll want a few things to get through the next 24 to 48 hours — when radioactive fallout exposure risk is the greatest.
The minimum your emergency kit should have.
If a full emergency-preparedness kit isnt handy — say, if you were on public transit to or from work — Buddemeier recommends trying to grab a few items, just as long as it wouldnt delay your taking shelter from fallout by more than a couple of minutes.
1 is a radio, he said — ideally a hand-cranked type with a USB charging port that can power other devices. If you have a cellphone, thatll work too, he said.
Buddemeier said he preferred a radio over a mobile phone because sometimes the cell towers may be affected, either by power outages, crushing demand, or an invisible yet powerful effect of nuclear weapons called electromagnetic pulse.

SO WE SEE THAT THE BIBLE CLEARLY TEACHES THE RIGHT
OF PRIVATE PROPERTY, BECAUSE GOD HAS GIVEN THE
WHOLE WORLD UNTO MANKIND AS A STEWARDSHIP,
WHICH IS HIS TO USE AND FOR WHICH HE IS
RESPONSIBLE TO GOD.
SECONDLY, WE NOTE THAT THIS ACTION WAS VOLUNTARY.
THEY DID NOT HAVE TO SELL THEIR PROPERTY.
THERE WAS NO COMMANDMENT TO SELL THEIR PROPERTY.
THERE WAS NO COMMANDMENT TO GIVE THE FUNDS AWAY,
IT WAS VOLUNTEERISM.
NOW I CANNOT IMAGINE ANYTHING THAT MILITATES
MORE STRONGLY AGAINST MODERN CONCEPTS OF
SOCIALISM THAN VOLUNTARISM.
I HAVE NOT THE SLIGHTEST OBJECTION TO ANY GROUP OF
PEOPLE ANYWHERE WHO WANT TO GET TOGETHER AND
VOLUNTARILY ENGAGE IN ANY FORM OF SOCIALISM THAT
THEY CARE TO DO.
IT IS THE FACT OF ENFORCEMENT; IT IS THE
FACT OF COERCION THAT LIES AT THE VERY HEART OF
EVERY SOCIALISTIC SCHEME IN MODERN CENTURIES.
THIRDLY, AND I DON'T KNOW WHICH OF THESE PRINCIPLES
INDEED MILITATES MORE MIGHTILY AGAINST MODERN
CONCEPTS OF SOCIALISM.
THE MONEY, THEY SOLD THE PROPERTY AND THEY BROUGHT
THE MONEY AND LAID IT AT THE FEET OF PONTIUS PILATE.
WAS THAT CORRECT?
THEY LAID IT AT THE FEET OF CAESAR.
IS THAT CORRECT?
THEY BROUGHT IT TO THE LOCAL TAX COLLECTOR.
NO, WHAT DOES IT SAY.
IT SAYS IT A NUMBER OF TIMES: "THEY LAID IT AT
THE APOSTLES' FEET" (ACTS 4:37).
NOW I CAN THINK OF NOTHING MORE PERFECTLY DESIGNED TO
GIVE KARL MARX APOPLEXY THAN THE IDEA THAT PEOPLE
SHOULD SELL ALL OF THEIR PROPERTY AND BRING THE
MONEY AND GIVE IT TO THE CHURCH.
IF THERE IS ANYTHING WHICH IS ANTITHETICAL TO THE
WHOLE SPIRIT OF MODERN SOCIALISM,
IT IS PRECISELY THAT.
AND YET, PEOPLE HAVE THE INCREDIBLE TEMERITY TO SAY
THAT THIS PASSAGE TEACHES MODERN STATE SOCIALISM.
NOTHING, INDEED, COULD BE FARTHER FROM THE TRUTH
THAN THAT.
NO, THE BIBLE DOES NOT TEACH SOCIALISM.
AND THE ADVERSE EFFECTS OF IT, IN THE LONG HAUL,
ARE INCALCULABLE.
WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES IS FREEDOM AND RESPONSIBILITY
AND WORK, AND WE ARE JETTISONING ALL OF THESE
IN THE SOCIALISTIC STATE.
AND THE SPIRITUAL EFFECTS WILL BE THE WORST IN THE END.
SOCIALISM RESULTS IN MANY ADVERSE EFFECTS.
IT HARMS FAMILIES, CHURCHES, AND INDIVIDUALS-
ESPECIALLY THOSE ON THE RECEIVING END OF
GOVERNMENT REDISTRIBUTION.
ATTEMPTS TO CLAIM THAT THE BIBLE ADVOCATES ANY FORM
OF SOCIALISM CLEARLY FALL APART UNDER CLOSER SCRUTINY.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN GOOD INTENTIONS TO HELP THE
DOWN-AND-OUT GO ASTRAY?
WELL, OUR OWN JERRY NEWCOMBE TAKES A CLOSER LOOK.
IS POVERTY ON THE RISE IN AMERICA?
IN 2000, THE NATION SPENT $20 BILLION FOR WELFARE
TRANSFER PAYMENTS.
BY 2014, THAT NUMBER HAD QUADRUPLED TO $83 BILLION.
NOW, NEARLY ONE OUT OF SIX AMERICANS ARE RECEIVING
FOOD STAMPS.
SO IS GENUINE POVERTY RISING AT AN ALARMING RATE?
OR ARE MORE PEOPLE SIMPLY TAKING ADVANTAGE OF
EASY-TO-GET FREEBIES?
THE HERITAGE FOUNDATION REPORTED RECENTLY ON A
GROUND-BREAKING WELFARE REFORM IN THE STATE OF
MAINE, SIGNED INTO LAW BY GOVERNOR PAUL LEPAGE.
GOVERNOR LEPAGE IS A VERY DOWN-TO-EARTH,
MATTER-OF-FACT, MANNER.
AND HE THINKS ABLE-BODIED PEOPLE WHO CAN WORK,
SHOULD WORK.
AND I THINK HE AND HIS TEAM, HE'S GOT SOME
OUTSTANDING PEOPLE WORKING FOR HIM, JUST MADE THIS
POLICY A REALITY.
AND SOMETIMES THAT DOESN'T GO OVER WELL WITH PEOPLE
WHO ARE ABLE-BODIED AND DON'T WANT TO WORK EVEN
THOUGH THEY CAN, BUT IT WAS SUCCESSFUL IN MAINE.
AS OF 2014, MAINE REQUIRES THAT THOSE RECEIVING WELFARE
WHO ARE ABLE-BODIED ADULTS WITHOUT DEPENDENTS EITHER
GET A JOB OR ENROLL IN JOB-RETRAINING OR EVEN
JUST VOLUNTEER SOME TIME.
DO ANY OF THOSE THINGS- AND YOU CAN KEEP YOUR FOOD
STAMP BENEFITS.
AND WHAT HAPPENED IN THE FIRST 3 MONTHS WHEN THESE
VERY MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS WENT INTO EFFECT?
REQUESTS TO CONTINUE FOOD STAMP BENEFITS FROM
ABLE-BODIED ADULTS WITHOUT DEPENDENT CHILDREN
PLUMMETED BY 80%.
AND SOMETIMES PEOPLE WHO ARE WRONGLY ON THE ROLLS
WILL SIMPLY SAY, "WELL I GUESS IT'S TIME FOR US TO
QUIT APPLYING FOR BENEFITS."
INSTITUTING BASELINE REQUIREMENTS FOR WELFARE
DESIGNED TO GET PEOPLE WORKING IS BIBLICAL.
WHILE IT'S VIRTUOUS TO HELP THE TRULY NEEDY,
THE APOSTLE PAUL SAYS IN SECOND THESSALONIANS,
CREATING NEEDLESS DEPENDENCY VIOLATES
GOD'S DESIGN FOR MAN AND DOES HARM.
MOST LIBERAL INITIATIVES FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE
WAR ON POVERTY UNDER LYNDON JOHNSON ON WERE
OSTENSIBLY CREATED TO HELP THE POOR.
BUT BECAUSE THEY HAVE PENALTIES AGAINST WORK AND
VERY STRONG PENALTIES AGAINST MARRIAGE,
IN FACT THEY PUSH THE POOR FURTHER INTO A HOLE.
AND THAT'S WHY WE CAN HAVE SPENT OVER SIXTEEN
TRILLION DOLLARS ASSISTING POOR PEOPLE SINCE THE
BEGINNING OF THE WAR ON POVERTY BUT POVERTY HAS
NOT GOTTEN ANY BETTER AT ALL AND IN FACT PEOPLE'S
CAPACITY FOR SELF-SUPPORT HAS DECLINED DRAMATICALLY
BECAUSE THESE GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS DESTROY THE HEART
OF SELF-SUFFICIENCY.
ALL ABLE-BODIED AMERICANS WHO WANT TO WORK SHOULD
BE ABLE TO FIND JOBS.
AND THEY SHOULD TAKE THOSE JOBS, AND IF THEY TAKE
THOSE JOBS AND THEY'RE AT THE BOTTOM RUNG OF
THE LADDER, GUESS WHAT - AMERICA IS THE LAND
OF OPPORTUNITY, THEY CAN MOVE UP.
THE HERITAGE STUDY NOTES THAT IF WHAT THEY DID IN
MAINE WERE TO BE APPLIED IN THE OTHER 49 STATES,
IT WOULD SAVE TAXPAYERS ABOUT $10 BILLION A YEAR.
NONETHELESS, CRITICS OF WELFARE REFORM MAY WONDER
IF IT SOMEHOW DEVIATES FROM THE CHRISTIAN ETHIC.
I DON'T THINK THAT THERE'S ANYWHERE IN THE BIBLE THAT
IT TALKS ABOUT SOCIALISM BEING A BETTER FORM OF
GOVERNMENT.
THERE IS REFERENCE IN THE BIBLE THAT WE SHOULD
CARE FOR THE POOR, BUT THAT'S US, YOU AND ME,
WE SHOULD MAKE DECISIONS IN OUR OWN COMMUNITIES TO
CARE FOR THE PEOPLE AROUND US THAT ARE LESS FORTUNATE.
NOW WHEN RONALD REAGAN WAS PRESIDENT HE TALKED ABOUT
THE NEED FOR THE NATION TO HAVE A SAFETY NET FOR
THOSE WHO COULD NOT TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES.
AND THAT'S AN IMPORTANT CONSIDERATION, BUT
WE SHOULD NEVER CONFUSE GOVERNMENT'S ROLE WITH WHAT
THE BIBLE SAYS IS OUR ROLE, AND THAT'S TO LOVE
OUR NEIGHBORS AS OURSELVES AND TO TAKE CARE OF
OUR BROTHERS.
AS YOU'VE SEEN ON THIS PROGRAM, SOCIALISM IS
A DANGEROUS IDEOLOGY THAT HARMS PEOPLE AND
CONTRADICTS THE BIBLE.
AND YET IT SEEMS TO PERSIST- EVEN SOMETIMES
UNDER THE BANNER OF CHRISTIANITY- AND MILLIONS
OF YOUNG PEOPLE ARE BUYING INTO IT.
THAT'S WHY IT'S MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER FOR
PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND THE TRUTH ABOUT SOCIALISM.

'The Sinner' showcases Jessica Biel in 'whydunit' mystery - Duration: 3:11.
'The Sinner' showcases Jessica Biel in 'whydunit' mystery
essica Biel joins the list of prominent actors producing and starring in their own limited series with The Sinner, which drops the customary whodunit for a whydunit.
Although clunky in places, the first few episodes conjure enough mystery and intrigue to initially overcome those minor sins. Biel plays Cora, the mom to a toddler whose distant stares suggest some sort of inner turmoil.
Yet theres no warning for her seemingly random act of brutal violence against a stranger, prompting an inquiry into whether there was some sort of unknown motivation that triggered the crime, or if she simply snapped for no apparent reason.
I just did it. And I dont know why, she says at first, while still covered in blood.
The task of determining what happened, and why, falls to a local detective, Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman), who begins slowly unraveling threads that might add up to a larger story.
Additional hints come in the form of flashbacks to Coras childhood, further clouding whether she knew the victim or if he was merely an unlucky surrogate for someone who wronged her in the past.
Based on a book by Petra Hammesfahr, not everything about The Sinner works, from the cryptic title to Ambroses subplot -- the cop plagued by personal demons riff being one of those clichés that adds almost nothing to the proceedings, other than dragging them out.
Coras husband (Christopher Abbott), an understandably stunned witness to the event, also remains something of an underdeveloped enigma.
Still, Biel delivers a restrained, glamor-free performance, and teasing out a case beyond the customary crime procedural works well in the limited-series format -- offering an eight-episode package that has almost a British-style feel, on the order of Broadchurch or The Missing. Its premature to conclude whether the show will rise to that level, or have enough twists to sustain itself until the end.
Strictly in terms of drawing you into Coras story, though, The Sinner has the makings of a winner.
