Youtube daily report Jul 3 2017

Hi bunnies, I'm really happy to see you all

on Mike's Carslife, I'm on board a Ford Shelby GT 500

with Jeremy who is driving and we go to Lausanne

to test and drive the new Corvette C7.

I do not know yet if we will try the Grand Sport model

I asked or not, the garage told me it will depend the

availability of the car. The difference between the normal

C7 (Stingray) and the Grand Sport is the frame

of the Z06 which is on the Grand Sport, the engine

remain identical with atmospheric 466 hp and then

the exterior finishes also of the Z06 on the Grand Sport

model and the standard semi-slick tires on the

Grand Sport, we will see. Both have 466ch, for the

gearbox, I do not know if it will be a manual or

automatic but it should be really nice.

We are also on board a Shelby GT 500 very powerful

and I will present it right after. Direction to Lausanne.

Here we are, we just arrived at the garage

Opel /Chevrolet, because now Chevrolet is with Opel,

there is no Chevrolet (Corvette) dealer.

So we saw a Corvette C7 Grand Sport here

and a C7 normal model "Stingray" behind.

We're going to do a walk around of the vehicles before

the drive test.

And here behind me, we find a corvette C7 Z06,

659hp, it consumes a little more but it starts to

be crazy, we are at a higher level there.

That's where we are, aboard the Corvette C7 Grand

Sport so it's cool, semi-slick tires, 466 hp the frame of

the Z06. Inside, compared to the Corvette C6, we can

see that they really took only few elements and they

made a new car when the new C7 came out,

we are really good in, it is well Europeanized. On the

other hand we have the automatic transmission,

I am not fan of automatic gearboxes, after we find a lot

today on all cars. We will see what it will be,

even if manual it would have been a little more sport,

we control a little better the car I think, but it will be very

nice so we go, we will try this and then

we will see the two impressions.

For the 466 hp, we feel them pass very well, it push.

That's what I call stupid cars because it's really,

starting I think 450 hp after all depends how power

come, but it's pushing hard, compared to mine that

makes 320 hp. Great, the direction is very accurate

and it brakes very strong we will go for a ride to confirm

that.

This dance !

So, I have test and drive the Jaguar F-Type R not long

time ago, it is 10 times more accurate, it really is the

black point of the Jaguar F-type R that I had already

tried with Jeremy. The braking is very strong, as strong

on one as on the other, the Jaguar was equipped

with ceramic brake so it brakes very hard too.

It pushes very well the power come well on the ground,

it pushes a little less than the Jaguar but we have

466 hp against 550 for the Jaguar is what makes

perhaps the difference. It is just as nice frankly,

after I think the Corvette is much more efficient at the

of the acceleration, we arrive better to handle

it but the Jaguar remains a bit above for me.

So I'm sorry, I have a problem with the camera, the twist

system broke, it moves a lot, I'm sorry but I can not help

it, I will change it after. So there Jeremy just tried

the car too, we are agree on one thing is that the

automatic transmission is not very good, in sports

version or track, when we brake it does not automatically

retrograde, neither put previous gear, if you touch to the

paddle you really have to stay with the paddle

it is a little bit a pity, and then it lacks a little bit of...

not torque because there is, but a little bit of watt, of

power again. I am talking always compared to the

Jaguar, it's a great car. I make the difficult man,

and I am talking compared to the Jaguar F-type R that

I tried not long ago and which play in the same yard.

Now we will try to find the road to go back because we

are a little bit lost…

Another thing that is very annoying is that we are much

too fast right away, we are often 20 to 30 km hour above

the limitations while we think to be at the right speed,

we can assume that it's well soundproofed but the

license has good value to be well soundproofed too.

All right, the drive test is finished of the Corvette C7

Grand Sport, in conclusion the line is very nice,

I like, a bit massive rear but it is an American car should

not forget it. The direction system is very good, direction

really perfect, the passage to the ground of power is

also very efficient, the automatic gearbox is the

big disappointment of this test, it is not very fast,

gear shifts are quite random according to the chosen

modes, retrograde alone or later it is a little bit annoying

so really black point. I would have liked to try it in

manual gearbox because it must be something else,

I think That the manual gearbox is really top, for

precision the automatic gearbox has 8-speed.

The frame is very good, the efficiency of the car is really

top. On the power level it lacks a bit, the torque is perfect

but level power up in the towers it would still deserve a

little more, still in comparison to the Jaguar which

develops 550 hp there we have a higher level for me.

For interior level finishes the C7, you could see it, it's also

very good, very well Europeanized we will not be at

Jaguar level either but we are very good.

To finish a very good car, very pleasant 466 hp we will

not complain, it works very well, a nice car and whoever

buys it will be really very happy at his steering wheel.

Aston Villa confirm the signing of Chelsea legend John Terry on a one-year deal worth £60k-a-week - Duration: 4:39.

Aston Villa confirm the signing of Chelsea legend John Terry on a one-year deal worth £60k-a-week

ASTON VILLA have confirmed the signing of John Terry on a one-year deal. The Championship side announced that the club have pulled off a major coup to land his signature with a creative Twitter post.

John Terry has completed a 12-month deal to sign for Aston Villa . In a mock WhatsApp group amongst manager Steve Bruce and players, chairman Dr Tony Xia broke the news to the gaffer before team-mates got in on the action.

The former Chelsea captain rejected a host of offers around the world, including with fierce rivals Birmingham, to pen a 12-month contract at the Championship side.

And speaking of his new club, Terry told Villas official website: I am delighted to join Aston Villa.

"It's a club I have admired from afar for many years – there are fantastic facilities at Bodymoor Heath, Villa Park is one of the finest stadiums in the country and there's a good group of players here, with an experienced and successful manager in Steve Bruce.

"I can't wait to get started now and look to help the squad achieve something special this season. Terry, who ended his 19-year spell with the Premier League champions this summer, will pocket around £60,000-a-week as Sun Sport exclusively revealed last month.

John Terry admits working with Steve Bruce influenced his decision to sign for Villa .

Steve Bruce pulled off a major coup to land the veteran defender.

John Terry had a round of golf with Steve Bruce in Portugal last month.

John Terry - Chelseas captain, leader, legend Born in Barking, London, on December 7, 1980 Began his youth career at West Ham in 1991 and joined Chelsea academy after four years Broke into the Blues first team in 1998 and made his debut at home against Aston Villa Captained Chelsea for the first time in 2001 and was made club skipper under Jose Mourinho in 2004 Made his England debut in June 2003 against Serbia and Montenegro Succeeded David Beckham as England captain in 2006 under Steve McClaren Won five Premier League titles, five FA Cups, three League Cups, the Community Shield, Champions League and Europa League at Chelsea Named in the Fifa FIFPro XI for five years running between 2005 and 2009.

Chelsea legend John Terry spent 19 years at Stamford Bridge.

John Terry rejected a host of offers around the globe to join Aston Villa. He will also take home a £2million bonus if he can help guide Steve Bruces side back to the top flight.

Bruce had been keen to add experience and a dressing room influence to his side after they faltered in their promotion bid at the first time of asking.

It is believed Terry, 36, was talked into the move after a round of golf with Bruce in Portugal earlier this month. The pair held talks about his future over a game at the Quinta do Lago resort.

Terry was thought to have rejected Premier League offers with Swansea, West Brom and mega-money deals to China because he didnt want to line-up against his former club according to Swans boss Paul Clement.

Bruce is also believed to have offered Terry the chance to move into coaching during his time at Villa Park which helped convince the veteran of a move.

Villa are also pushing through deals to land Stoke pair Glenn Whelan and Jon Walters.

Why Does This Frog Have So Many Legs?! - Duration: 3:09.

Here's a riddle: How many legs does a frog have?

That all depends on which parasites infect it.

I'm Anna and this is Gross Science.

Throughout North America there's a parasitic flatworm, that makes its home in the digestive

systems of water birds.

A bird's esophagus is a great place for these guys—that's where they find mates,

have sex, and pop out thousands of eggs. The eggs move through the digestive tract, and

when the bird poops in freshwater, the eggs hatch and the baby parasites look for a new

home.

But finding a new feathered friend isn't so easy.

The parasite will need to travel through two other animals and go through four different

life stages before it find another bird and settle down.

The first stop is a freshwater snail.

When it finds one, the parasite will invade the snail's tissues, turn into the next

larval stage, and eat away at the snail's reproductive organs, castrating it in the

process.

There it also multiplies asexually, and enters yet another life stage, turning the snail

into a mobile parasite factory.

Eventually, these hordes of parasites swim out of the snail in search of their next host

- a tadpole.

Once a tadpole is found, the larvae start to penetrate its tissue focusing on the hind

limb buds—that's where the developing frog's back legs will eventually grow.

The larvae grow a hard, protective coating called a "cyst", and this is where things

get really gross.

These parasitic cysts interrupt proper limb formation, causing the frogs to have an unusual

number of legs once they metamorphose— anywhere from zero to ten!

And when these froggy monstrosities get eaten by birds, the parasites finally become adults

and the life cycle starts all over again.

Now, the thing I find most interesting about this is that the frog's weird limb development

isn't just a side effect of the parasitic infection.

Scientists think that causing frogs to have multiple, or even missing legs, is actually

advantageous for the parasite.

Manipulating a host's morphology - in other words, how it looks - is just one strategy

that parasites use to survive.

Frogs that have an unusual number of limbs move more slowly than their four legged counterparts,

and that makes them easier for birds to catch.

Which of course makes it more likely that the parasite will end up exactly where it

wants to be, inside a bird's esophagus, surrounded by mates.

And really, isn't that what we all want in life?

Ew.
