Hey, guys I'm Keanna and today I'm going to telling you guys about my favorite books of
2016 Part 2.
Now, there is a Part 1 and you can click it down in the description box on top in the
box in the little 'i',Either one you prefer.
So this is my favorite books Part 2.
And the first book is All Shook Up by Chelsey Krause.
So this book is about a woman who doesn't really have any family left and she works
at this thrift store.
She has and wears these awesome clothes like from the 50's and 20's and it's so cool!
Her style is awesome.
But then she runs across this box that looks like a picture of her mom, but she's like
'umm, maybe not'.
So she ends up looking into her family history and gets the help of the guy who dropped the
box off.
And we follow them into... a great novel.
It's one of the best, few adult novels that I read this year that came up to my standard
and it was awesome.
I just loved it!
It had the air of the 50's and it was just fun, charming and it was just what I was looking for.
And it was great.
Book #2 is one of my favorite authors and she hooked me with ehr book The Sun Is Also A Star
which is none other than Nicola Yoon.
This book is about a girl who is being deported to Jamaica in less than 12 hours and she's
trying to find a way to rewind and pause the clock, essentially so she can figure out a
way so she can figure out a way to stay in America.
But across... earlier in the day she meets this Asian American guy, Daniel and they end up
crossing paths and falling in love over the course of 12 hours.
But what got me was the ending.
I had tears in the back of my eyeballs which landed on my face so...it was a great novel
and Nicola Yoon writes like beauty.
It's just beautiful.
Her characters are three dimensional and there is no flatness at all.
The story is just....Oh My Gosh, it's beautiful!
and the diversity of the characters. It's actually being optioned into a movie I heard.
I was like, "Whatt!"
So both of her books, Everything, Everything and The Sun Is Also A Star are being optioned
into movies.
So I'm so excited to see how it's going to portray on the movie screen.
The third book is The Hating Game by Sally Thorne.
Now, this book is an adult book.
It is funny, charming, hilarious and banter between the characters is BOMB and will make you
LOL literally.
And I just advise everyone to go read this book, because this book is literally the funniest
book I've ever read in a lonnggg time.
I think this is one of the funniest adult books I've read.
Ever.
And I love every page of it.
The next one is more of a trilogy than a one book type of thing on this list and it is
the Royals Trilogy by Erin Watt.
I loved this trilogy.
Carol @TheRadingWallflower convinced me when I watched her video and she was doing a book
review on this trilogy or at least the first book and she was very convicing.
So I read it and it was one of the most drama-filled, reminded me of Gossip Girl...Chuck Bass in particular.
But it also centered around family which I loved, because you rarely see novels of young
adult that center around the family.
They only center around like the main character and you rarely see glimpses of the family
which is quite odd, because duh they all have parents either one or both.
So, come on.
Anyhoo, this trilogy was awesome.
I finished reading the last book on my beautiful vacation I was on.
And it was wonderful, and it was a great trilogy ending.
I just want more of my characters...Easton.
I just want more of the twins.
So I'm hoping...hoping that Erin Watt does a novella of the characters..brothers, because
I'd totally prefer that.
Totally read that and buy it.
The next book is The Unexpected Everything ny Morgan Matson.
Morgan Matson is one of my favorite...on the list of my favorite authors.
This book is about a girl named Andy who is a Type A personality and she has everything
planned and the summer she's supposed to do an internship it fails.
So everything just kind of fails and she has to reconnect and rekindle the relationship
with her father who she has to live with.
It's really, really really good and it's a chunker of a book.
It's about 400, almost 500...516 pages.
It's one of the most favorite books by Morgan Matson that I really, really enjoy.
The last book, the last favorite on my list is not really a book, but a graphic novel
series that I've recently read all...every issue I could find on this graphic novel.
And it is the Ms. Marvel graphic novel series by Wilson, Miyazawa and Bondoc which is by
Marvel Now or Marvel Comics.
And I love this series; I've read every issue.
This is just Volume 3, because this is the one I got at Black Friday, but I read ALL..every
issue of Ms. Marvel.
I'm all for a kick-butt heroine, especially Marvel; I'm a Marvel fan.
The panels of this is not too bright and it's not too crazy, but goes with the mood of the story which is beautiful.
The illustrations are just... awesome.
So I'm looking forward to look into Marvel Comics or Marvel graphic novels for next year which
is awesomely great.
So these are the books complete my favorite books of 2016.
So I'm really excited for all the new releases that are going to be released in 2017.
But, yes so I shall see you guys in my next video.
Bye!
