Probably late into my high school career
I had been looking at a lot of things. I
actually thought about doing some
engineering. I loved like the electronics
and electrical engineering. I thought
about that I said I don't know that I
can do that. And I had a little part-time
job when I was in high school, working in
a pharmacy, and the the gentleman knew my
folks and stuff and it was really a lot
of fun. I said this is really an
interesting thing. That had probably
started it as well, and I decided I
wanted to be a physician. I didn't know
at that point about cardiology
specifically. Didn't take long for me to
find out as I mentioned about learning
the basic science with with people. I was
fortunate enough to get a summer job
with a pharmaceutical company in the
suburban Philadelphia area. I thought
that was really really terrific. We were
doing some work in biochemistry and some
of their medications and things, and
their compounds they were trying to
develop new drugs. It turns out that my
project involved coagulation blood
clotting, things like that. It turns out
that what we were looking for is that
the having at that time the recent
discovery, that heart attacks were caused
by blood clots. We were looking for drugs
that helped to treat that. We didn't find
any, but the interest in blood clotting,
blood clots, heart attack was pretty
amazing. The small world or the irony's
to me was the pioneer and that was
the head of the department of medicine
at Temple University Hospital. It was
such a natural thing for me I was very
excited about the prospect of basically
staying there going to medical school
there. Staying there to do training. That
particular gentleman and I'm thrilled to
say it signed my certificates, my
residency, and my fellowship certificates.
It was very special to me, because
that's that was my interest, and actually
I went to medical school saying I want
to do cardiology. I want to put the basic
research with with people and I do like people.
You know a good examination, we try to
sit across the table again and formulate
a plan which is really really important.
I believe that patients are very much
understanding of what, and I use the word
need to do with them, for them, to them. If
they're involved in the plan. It's not

family. Which is a cliche, but my wife and
I do enjoy each other. We have a 22 year
old daughter, finishing up at North
Carolina State very shortly. We do like
the beach, not because we're big water
people, we don't have a boat or kayaks. I
don't fish. I do play golf, or at least I
think I do, or I try to is the better
word. I do enjoy it, and it's a nice
area. You know we have three dogs
which we enjoy, they're you know an
interesting eclectic collection of dogs,
and we just kind of enjoy. Do a
little bit of reading, and you know
laughing. My wife is a nurse so we do
have things very much in common and
that's a-- and that's a nice thing as
well.

Women Created MGTOW - Duration: 5:02.
There is a mistaken assumption that MGTOW is some organized core of vocal men evangelizing
other men to abandon marriage and relationships.
This is not true.
MGTOW is little but a rally flag; it is a group in the same way that those who hold
a driver's license are a group.
MGTOW is a product of women.
Men who come to call themselves MGTOW have fundamentaally come to the same conclusions
about women, relationships, the legal system and so on.
What they learned is that marriage is a scam; a legal mechanism of wealth transfer from
the man to the woman.
They see this scam rip apart men's lives all around them.
They do not learn this FROM the MGTOW community.
They bring these observations INTO the community.
They see women, who, of their own free will, with glee and a sense of justified righteousness
choose to exploit anti-male laws in family courts to fuck men out of money and their
children.
Furthermore, relationships with women are no better.
As the phases of a relationship move from dating, to co-habitation, engagement, and
marriage, a steady stream of ever growing expectations and demands is placed upon the
man.
His time becomes monopolized by a slow creep of "responsibilities" hoisted upon him by
threat of arguments, pouting, and withholding of sex.
This is done gradually but inevitably.
It may take a woman a decade to completely break a man's spirit and replace it with the
banal mediocrity of her image of what he ought to be and what he ought be doing as a "real
man."
Once he is completely crushed by this long siege, nothing is left of him but a beast
of burden who is meant to bring home an ever larger paycheck so they can go on "vacation"
or get that new living room set.
When you look into the eyes of a man in a "successful" marriage/relationship that has
lasted a decade or more, all you see is sorrow and regret for a wasted life.
This man would all but have killed himself by then had he not, for all those years, kept
the single belief in mind that this life, the life he led, is what a happy life is supposed
to look like.
Knowing no better, as he has long ago dismissed his youthful joys and adventures as "childish",
he sits in his mental prison in anticipation of death.
What MGTOW does is rally men to a single flag where they can all share these most obvious
observations that have been all around them.
Each man in the MGTOW community shares their observations, which, when pointed out, are
immediately accessible to other MGTOW through a reflection on their own autobiographies.
Why MGTOW is global and why is it unstoppable is not because MGTOW men are converting other
men.
It is because women are the same the world around, and THEY convert men into MGTOW by
virtue of their nature.
MGTOW are of all races, all cultures, and all ages.
It is composed of millionaires alphas who have had hundreds of women and also neckbeards
who may still be virgins living in their parents basement.
The thing that terrifies women the most is not that MGTOW is composed of loser virgins
but that in fact it is replete with men that women would deem winners and marriage material.
MGTOW have taken their lives back.
Shaming will not work on us.
Neither will some herd morality appeal to being a "real man", or an "adult", or this
or that .. blah blah blah.
It just does not work anymore.
MGTOW is not a controlled demolition of the apotheosized woman by a small vocal group
of men.
It is a global wild fire fueled by the oxygen of women's behavior.
To snuff MGTOW, if this is really your goal, you will need to do the one thing you will
never do; bring women to heel.
Since no detractor dare even whisper such a solution much less lay any responsibility
at the feet of women, everyone will need to get used to the idea that MGTOW is here to
stay and that it is growing immensely every single year.
But I do have some consoling words for our fine MGTOW detractors.
Within a generation or two there will no longer be men calling themselves MGTOW.
There will be no need, as what we call MGTOW knowledge today will be called common-knowledge
then and the MGTOW life will just be known as life.
All that need to happen for this prediction to come true, is to continue to let women
be women.

on the screen and you just can't read

The Caucasus: Mountains Full of Languages - Duration: 8:57.
Caucasian.
That word comes to us from a rugged land where Europe smacks into Asia, sandwiched between
countries that grab headlines: Russia, Iran, Turkey.
But here's a headline for you: this little area is one of the world's great linguistic
hot zones, a place where the mountains are full of languages.
Welcome to the Caucasus.
Georgia... is a US state that's about 300 miles tall, with a population over 10 million.
Most everyone here speaks one language: English.
A turn of the globe away, straddling the Southeast of Europe is a country we call Turkey.
And east of Turkey there's another Georgia.
Watch what happens when I take Georgia and put it over Georgia.
There's more Georgia left.
It leaks into Russia and over into Azerbaijan.
It even covers part of Armenia and Turkey.
All these borders between the Black Sea and Caspian Sea, but these are nothing compared
to the number of languages here.
As the Kurdish saying goes, "We have no friends but the mountains."
I don't know Kurdish or the more than 50 languages of the Caucasus, but Kurdish IS a distant
relative of the words I'm speaking right now.
It's in the Iranian branch of our Indo-European family, which is something it shares with
Scythian's last descendant, Ossetian.
You can hear echoes of familiar words like the word for door: "derî", "duar".
In Armenia, a door sounds similar: դուռ (dur).
But Armenian is a separate Indo-European branch.
Their unique alphabet was created by this gentleman scholar, Mr Mashtots, making Armenian
one of the rare languages in the region with its own old writings.
Some Armenians claim Mashtots also taught the Georgians how to write, but
but Georgians beg to differ.
Armenian splits another language down the middle in this disputed turf, where the name
you give it and whether you call the fighting in the 90s liberation or occupation,
is tense stuff.
This other language belongs to the country with the world's lowest capital, nearly 100
feet (30 meters) below sea level.
Azerbaijani, after all that Indo-European, looks strange.
Unless you know Turkish.
The Turkic family has multiple branches all over the Caucasus.
It builds long words with glued-on endings where the vowels harmonize.
A lot like Hungarian, remember?
Things aren't so Turkic up here in Europe's only Buddhist region.
This is Kalmykia, a Russian republic settled by Oirats, who speak a relative of Mongolian.
So there's Mongolic here.
There's Hellenic here, Caucasus Greek.
There's Semitic, Assyrian Neo-Aramaic.
But there was one obvious blob we ignored.
C'mon, who brings the big guns into this area?
Ahem, metaphorically speaking of course.
Russian, in the Slavic branch of Indo-European:
дверь (dver').
A couple years ago, Russia held the Winter Olympics in the city of Sochi.
Drama ensued.
What attracted a lot of press was the exorbitant cost, but there's another controversy you
may have missed.
Ethnic Circassians have long considered Sochi their land, taken in the 1800s when the Russian
Empire vowed to conquer the Caucasus and pacify, or expel, every indigenous group.
One of the men in that army was Leo Tolstoy.
This is where he tasted war and started writing.
The last speaker of Sochi's Ubykh language died in Turkey in 1992.
With him perished the largest consonant inventory outside of Africa – over three times as
many as English!
And just to be extreme, only two basic vowels: a and ə.
This is the kind of special stuff that keeps language nerds infatuated with indigenous
Caucasian languages.
Indigenous... means something special here.
See, for linguists, there are "languages of the Caucasus" and then "Caucasian languages",
these smaller families born in and limited to the Caucasus.
Few vowels.
Many consonants.
Including throaty sounds: q͡χa, ʡa, ħa.
English has one such sound.
Arabic, several.
No competition for these Caucasian tongues!
Oh, and they probably had even more in the past.
But the real Caucasian hot topic came from one example in an old grammar of Tsova-Tush.
There was an intransitive verb with a subject that could resemble an object: I fell (and
it was my fault, like on purpose) vs fell me (on accident).
It sounds simple, but the implications were huge.
This example fell into the right hands and the concept of "ergativity" became a linguistic
rockstar.
In 1770, a German naturalist set out on an expedition to the Caucasus.
Trekking with a royal Kabardian and Georgian entourage, he took notes and divided Caucasian
languages into four families, each one with its own proto-language.
And he did this over a decade before a well-known speech by Sir William Jones that drew attention
to classifying Indo-European.
Later there did come a one-family-fits-all push to bundle them into Ibero-Caucasian.
The idea ultimately failed to win converts.
Today we count three families: Northwest, Northeast, South.
The south, Kartvelian, includes Georgian, an indigenous language
with its own ancient literature.
And the reason why Joseph Stalin, a native Georgian, had odd accent patterns in his speeches.
Tsova-tush, though, that's in Northeast Caucasian, a family native to the border republics of
Dagestan and Chechnya.
Chechen has an oddly large number of vowels for a Caucasian language.
This line marks a republic where they speak a Georgian dialect.
They're on good terms.
But not so these dots, where they broke away in 1992 with 13 months of ethnic strife.
The local Abkhaz is part of Northwest Caucasian, the family of Circassian
and your old consonant-full friend, Ubykh.
This family has been blamed for making Caucasian hard to classify.
See, they have roots with one measly consonant, and they do something called "head-marking".
As a result, they can lose resemblances more quickly, making it harder to compare them
and find siblings.
Caucasian isn't one family.
Is it one area though?
Perhaps the languages coexisted long enough to pick up each other's habits.
It's not out of the question; we saw how it happened in Mesoamerica.
It's still debated if this even fits for the Caucasus.
So maybe not a language area, but definitely an area with lots of languages.
And you've still got to be wondering, why?
Why so many?
Johanna Nichols tells us the answer may not be on these speakers' lips
but under their feet.
Geography gives some families spread zones, easy terrain for expanding.
Other terrains are residual zones, holding languages in place.
Which zone is responsible here?
I hope you said... both!
Languages from the lowlands flow into the area, then the mountains keep them.
So the three Caucasian families survived in place and didn't spread beyond.
Over time, others passed through and got stuck, and the diversity grew.
We end up with this map, a map of more than 50 languages across seven families,
each splash of color with its own stories to tell.

or type a keyword such as "flag".
If you already use the colon to trigger another shortcut on your Mac, you can set any piece
punctuation to be the trigger key.
For example, I prefer to use the backslash.
Also in the preferences of Rocket, you can set whether or not to launch at login, if
you want to use the light or dark theme of the emoji picker, what the default emoji skin
tone is, and what apps and websites you would like to disable Rocket from if they already
have their own emoji pickers.

Democrats Take Government Hostage Threaten To Shut It Down If GOP Repeals Obamacare

Once again Republicans have managed to box themselves in.
Just as the GOP has reportedly found enough votes among conservative Republicans to pass
the latest iteration of the proposed Healthcare bill, with Freedom Caucus Mark Meadows saying
"republicans will have the votes to pass" Obamacare repeal, Democrats realized that
they once again have the leverage to bring this whole process to a grinding halt halt.
And they are using it.
As The Hill reports, House Democrats will oppose any short-term spending bill - which
is what McConnell was hoping on passing to buy one week of time - if Republican leaders
attempt to expedite an ObamaCare repeal bill this week, Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) warned
Thursday.
In other words, Democrats are now holding the government hostage indefinitely as long
as Republicans - who now have the votes to pass new healthcare legislation - threaten
to repeal Obamacare.
Hoyer, the Democratic whip, spoke with House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif) Thursday
morning to warn him of the Democrats' position.
"If Republicans announce their intention to bring their harmful TrumpCare bill to the
House Floor tomorrow or Saturday, I will oppose a one-week Continuing Resolution and will
advise House Democrats to oppose it as well,� Hoyer said in an email.
�Republicans continue to struggle to find the votes to pass a bill that will kick 24
million Americans off their health coverage, allow discrimination against those with pre-existing
conditions, and impose an age tax on older Americans.
That's why they are trying to jam it through the House before their Members can hear from
the American people this weekend about their opposition to this horrible legislation.�
"If Republicans pursue this partisan path of forcing Americans to pay more for less
and destabilizing our county's health care system � without even knowing how much their
bill will cost � Republicans should be prepared to pass a one-week Continuing Resolution on
their own,� Hoyer said.
As the Hill adds, the threat is significant because GOP leaders will likely need Democratic
votes to pass a short-term spending bill in the face of opposition from conservatives
historically opposed to government funding bills.
Even Trump has chimed in... again.
Ironically, as long as the GOP was split internally, and appeared it did not have enough votes
to repeal Obamacare, the government shutdown was a negligible risk.
However now that Democrats have realized that the new bill may just pass, they are using
the biggest leverage they have: holding one-week continuing resolutions indefinitely, in the
process assuring that Republicans may never be able to pass Obamacare repeal, with the
government being funded on a week-by-week basis only as long as the GOP agrees not to
pass such a vote.
The Democrats� move comes as bipartisan negotiators in both chambers are getting closer
to an agreement on an omnibus spending bill to prevent a government shutdown.
If Congress doesn�t act before midnight Friday night, much of the federal government
would shut down.
The market, naturally, has noticed, and as Citi observes "the latest bout of headlines
has investors on edge - US Republicans and Senate in deep conflict.
Speaking to our desks, interest seen - especially for USDJPY - appears to be largely short-term,
reactionary.
As we type, the market looks for a base.
USDJPY now 111.20.
US 10y yield at 2.2950%."
How this particular impasse will be resolved remains unclear.

We are taught since childhood to value and care about nature, but despite this
we`ve seen extinction of plants and animals last century more massive than whole human history before.
How has that happened?
Urbanization? There`s a bit more than 5 percent of urbanized lands in the world.
Chemical pollution? It`s not the last factor, but isn`t the first as well.
What`s happening?
The main reason of species extinction is destruction of
biogeosciences or natural habitat. The leader of destruction
of natural ecosystems is agriculture. And probably everything could be a way better,
if we didn`t want . . . all of this.
Today 33% of ice-free land is occupied by animal agriculture.
These 33 % somewhen were home for countless animals, plants, insects and microorganisms.
Besides habitat destruction, farm animals attract wild predators.
And how animals are protected?
It`s necessary to decrease population of wolves in the region. Some areas
of Ircutsk face overpopulation twice than normal.
It`s direct threat to taiga and domesticated animals.
That`s why hunters will be rewarded for every killed wolf
with 20 000 rub. This information was published
in regional service of protection and usage of animals. Budget for reward
is given almost 3 mln rub, though it`s not clear what
documents are required to provide, killed wolves
will be rewarded if killed by official hunters only. Official hunting is legal
since 15th of September till 28th of February. Killing of grey predators out of this timeframe
is allowed only in case of emergency.
Is it really that serious issue? Think yourself: among whole mammal biodiveristy
on the planet 32 % are humans, 65 % are domesticated animals
who soon will become a food, and just 3 % are animals in the wild.
Everyone has heard of horrible deforestation of Amazon rain forest. By today 80 000 hectares of forest,
which was habitat for thousands of animals and plants, is gone.
91 % of these lands are pasture for cattle and field to feed them.
Amazon is far away from us, it`s easy to get abstracted from actual problems of another half of the Earth.
But what`s happening in our area? Ukraine forests have decreased by 634 hectares, Belorussian forests by 472,
Russia has lost 3650 hectares during last 10 years.
What about species extinction? Ukrainian ancestors` hands are washed with blood of tarpans,
wild horses, and aurochses, cattle whose taste wasn`t suitable for humanity.
The main cause of their extinction was hunting these animals, because they
were threat to harvesting crops which were meant to be food for domesticated cattle.
Who is next to Ukraine to extinct? There`re are many plants and animals,
among who southern birch mouse, long-eared hedgehog and lynx.
Is there anything better in Belarus? They had impact for tarpans and
aurochses to go extinct, but today we have an opportunity to prevent
extinction of range of species, for instance European mink and gavia arctica.
What about Russia? Besides taking a part in extinction of tarpans, Russian ancestors liked to treat themselves with
meat of steller's sea cow. That was might be not isolate, but quite huge cause of their extinction.
Today Russians can protect snow leopard, marmota sibirica and dhole.
These animals are just a few examples among thousands of other species.
And what we purchase today will decide whether commercial organisations
will be destructing natural habitats further on, whether greedy people will be
hunting rare animals... or can we make wise choice?
Obviously we cannot resurrect extincted species. But what can we do
to save at least that biodiversity what we have today?
We can decrease demand on meat, milk and eggs. Perhaps not whole 33 % of occupied lands,
but at least part of them still can be home for wild.
We can choose clothing and accessory which for people won`t massacre wild
and won`t torture domesticated animals.
And as always I want to remind that there`s no sentient being
who wants to die for our burger, purse or fur coat. We all say
we love animals, we all say we care about nature.

Free speech is a tremendous force for social change.
It's been the catalyst for racial equality, it's the mechanism by which citizens can
openly criticise their governments in free societies, and it also means we once got to

As wrestling fans, we exercise our free speech by holding up anti-JBL signs, chanting 'go
away' to Roman Reigns, and by wearing a number of slogan-based t-shirts.
One of the more popular wrestling clothing designs as of late has been the Hardy Boyz'
'F*** That Owl' print - which is Reby Sky's totally mature response to the legal
dispute over who owns the Broken Hardys gimmick: her husband Matt, or Impact Wrestling's
parent company Anthem Sports and Entertainment, whose logo includes a giant owl.
It was at last week's TNA TV tapings where free speech and wrestling t-shirt designs
collided, with one fan tweeting what happened as the audience were entering the Impact Zone:
"before people were let in they did tell people with a very angry voice that anyone
wearing #fuckthatowl shirts they will be banned" In a not so subtle response to the Broken
Hardy gimmick ownership battle, Matt has now tweeted:
"The OBSOLETE Owl cannot evade my #BROKENBrilliance by flying away..
DELETION is coming."
With a video of an owl taking flight into a glass window.
Matt has also changed his Twitter name to REBORN By FATE.
This comes the day after WrestlingNewsWorld reported that WWE were looking to buy the
Broken Hardys gimmick from Anthem by the end of this week, with CageSideSeats' rumour
section hinting a deal had actually already been finalised.
WrestlingNewsWorld are now reporting, "a deal has been accepted between the parties
and now it is just getting everything signed and pen to paper.
It is a lump sum one-time pay off and nothing more in any way after that."
If true, this doesn't mean WWE will debut the Broken gimmick on TV right away, but the
article does point out the long term plan is to split the Hardys up, with Matt portraying
his Broken Brilliance character, while Jeff will transition into a solo run as The Charismatic
Enigma.

Following the recent departures of Simon Gotch and Tajiri from the main roster, along with
NXT wrestler Chris Atkins and backstage interview Andrea DiMarco being released earlier this
week, PWInsider are now reporting Theophilus Agbi has also been wished well in all his
future endeavours.
Agbi's background was in amateur wrestling, and he was billed at an impressive 6 foot
5, 270 pounds.
He was only signed as an NXT recruit last October, in the class that included Roderick
Strong, Aleister Black and Killian Dane.
As this is the fifth reported release since Wrestlemania, it seems as though WWE are undergoing
their usual Spring Cleaning of talent.
Which means there might be more departures on the way.
