Understanding The Basics Of Supplements - Duration: 3:48.

In today's lesson you will learn to understand the basics of supplementation.

Supplements exist to give athletes that added edge to their training.

Although we are unable to officially recommend using supplements, we do believe that supplements

help gain an advantage within your training.

However, many people are skeptical on the use of them, because dietary supplement manufacturers

and distributors are not required to obtain approval from the FDA before marketing their

products, and there are little to no regulations set on dietary supplements.

Personally though, I recommend Whey Protein Isolate, because I have used it for my transformation

over the past 6 months.

However, whey protein concentrate is usually cheaper, and essentially has the same result,

the only difference in both is that whey protein Isolate is more filtered.

Whey protein is popular with active adults because it digests rapidly, and it's a rich

source of amino acids for use in muscle recovery.

I take two scoops of whey protein every morning with my breakfast and two scoops at night

after my workout.

I personally believe that this helps my body recover faster, and that it gives the necessary

protein to my muscles that I may be lacking for the day.

Other than that, the only other supplement I recommend is a probiotic.

This helps your body with digestion.

Probiotics are a mix of live bacteria and yeasts that are good for your digestive health.

We usually think of bacteria as something that causes diseases, but your body is choc

full of bacteria, both good and bad.

Probiotics are often called "good" or "helpful" bacteria because they help keep your gut healthy.

Hence the name Pro - "promoting" or helping, and biotic - "life".

Promoting life!

When it comes down to it, you truly do not need any type of supplement to transform your

body.

Although they are believed to help in the transformation, they are not required.

You are able to get the same results by the old fashioned methods of proper nutrition

and exercise.

You are free to make your own decision when it comes down to choosing the supplements,

since some of the recommended ones may be a little expensive.

Our nutritional plan has the protein shakes already in the routine so that you can maximize

your results and also follow what was done originally.

We have designed the plan to meet your macro goals for each day.

If you do not understand what a 'macro' is, then let me explain.

A macronutrient is any of the nutritional components of the diet required in relatively

large amounts, like protein, carbohydrates and fats.

A 'macro' is just an abbreviation for the larger word "macronutrient," and,

the phrase, "To macro," means tracking the number of grams of protein, carbohydrates,

and fats you consume on a particular day.

Bodybuilders and physique competitors have mastered this art, and have no qualms about

whipping out their food scale at any given moment.

Instant découverte#6: Ev'Sane - Duration: 3:01.

Hello and welcome for a new dicovering moment. Today we attack a new metal band of the French metal scene named Ev'Sane.

It's composed of Rip on vocals, Eddie and Simone on guitars, Sylvain on bass and Jack on drums.

The band formed in 2012 and will take almost three years to find its style: a mix between Thrash, Heavy and modern metal.

We can therefore mention influences such as Machine Head, Megadeth and Lamb Of God.

The band will take advantage of the following years to make a tour in the North of France near Lille their home town.

But it's on January 22, 2017 that the band will truly emerge from the shadows with the release of their first album entitled Autopsy of my Soul

and besides the band won't hesitate to defend it this summer so if you are motivated, run to listen to them.

In short I knew them with the release of their Lyric video Alone I Fall a song quite similar to Korn but closer to Alternative Metal than Neo.

An excellent track that really made me want to plunge deeper into their universe.

But I was far to suspect what could wait for me ...

indeed when a single comes out it's for me the most representative song of the album but I was far from suspecting that it would be the calmest and most accessible.

Indeed I was very far from thinking about the discovery of an album more Metalcore than Alternative Metal and knowing my love for the song screamed, I have passing my way.

Certainly the songs go very fast and leave us no time to breath in front of this creation that closely follows their guideline.

To be clearer I will read you their presentation speech:

"Eve, through our minds, tells the dark human relationships.

From the Stone Age to our society, she watches us kill each other, pushing us to hatred and selfishness.

She crepts fear and doubt into our daily lives. The insane becomes intoxicated for his contempt for mankind and his suffering.

Let yourself drift into his dementia. "

In short, you can better understand now why the bandimposed a more violent song to respect its project as best as possible;

But we can perceive a few clear vocals that will be for me real breaths of fresh air.

Here Korn is mixed with Thrash and Death; we don't do in lace.

But I want to reassure for all those who would be frightened by the name of these styles, the band holds a palpable and pleasant melody.

A Refined brutality if I may say so ...

In short if you look for softness in this album I think you can pass your way

but if you were looking for heavy and violent music or good metalcore I think you are in the right place because the band will know how to regale and I can guarantee that.

And everything leads us to believe that everyone is having fun during their shows.

I almost forgot to tell you how good this self-produced CD is and how well it's worth the detour for lovers of very nice modern metal bands.

Tom Perez was not done yet.

Johan Museeuw's Colnago C40 Pro Bike - Duration: 6:16.

- [Man] For cycling fans over a certain age,

this bike will almost undoubtedly have,

at some point, been your dream bike,

if it's not still today.

Because this is a classic

Colnago C40.

But then, even more than that,

this is a legendary

Mapei Team Colgnago C40.

And if that's not enough still,

this is actually the very bike that Johan Museeuw raced

in the Tour of Flanders in the year 2000.

And it's still in fact owned by the Lion of Flanders today.

Now what makes a Colnago C40 such a classic bike?

It is a good question because when this was introduced

to the Pro Peloton, in secret, back in 1993,

it was not the lightest bike out there,

although it was super light still

at under 1000g for a 54 frame.

And it's said it wasn't the first carbon bike

out there either, even though there weren't

many people riding carbon back then.

And neither was it the stiffest,

although I can tell you with good authority that this is

a super stiff bike.

So perhaps the secret, then, lies in the fact

that it is a combination of all three of those things

and also, Colnago sponsored some of the best

pro teams of the era.

And so this bike won a lot of races.

Now, the carbon construction of this frame

differs quite significantly to most carbon frames today

in that instead of coming out of a mould,

it's still made by hand.

So carbon tubes are bonded, literally glued,

into carbon lugs.

So the headtube here, the bottom bracket

is seat tube cluster.

And so what that allows Colnago to do

is effectively custom-make carbon frames.

And so this one here, Johan Museeuw's very own bike,

is custom-built to his exact specifications.

You can see by eyeballing it that

I suspect he's customised a very

laidback seat tube there.

Unlike carbon bikes of today, there was much less

specialisation of bikes back in the year 2000.

So the Colnago C40 excelled in both Classics

and Grand Tours alike.

Although I have it on good authority that

the bikes of Paris Roubaix had

quite a lot of extra carbon involved,

so the frames weighed 300g more.

So I do wonder, given how stiff this bike

of Johan Museeuw's is, whether or not he's actually got

a few extra layers of carbon in this layup as well.

Now, for many Colnago fans, it would be sacrilege

to put anything other than a Campagnolo groupset

on this frame.

And so, I'm very pleased to be able to say

that this has Shimano Dura-Ace.

I'm sorry.

But the Mapei Team used Dura-Ace for a long, long time.

This is Dura-Ace 7700

which actually was launched back in 1996.

And what's on this bike is the 25th anniversary groupset

which came out in 1998.

And actually, it's almost as long lasting as the frame,

which was retired in 2004.

This groupset was superseded in 2004 as well.

The eagle-eyed amongst you may well notice

two exceptions to that 7700 groupset.

First is the cassette, which is actually

an eight-speed cassette and not the usual

nine-speed cassette that Museeuw would've been running

at the time.

The likelihood is, he would've had an 1123.

And the other one is more interesting.

That's the cranks, which are actually Dura-Ace 7410,

which was the previous iteration of Dura-Ace.

We think that the reason they're on here

is because Museeuw, like a number of other riders

at the time, was a little bit sceptical about

Shimano's HollowTech crank technology.

He elected to stick with the solid previous cranks

rather than go for the lighter, hollow versions

that we now just take for granted.

And the other interesting thing about these cranks

is the fact they are so long.

They're 177.5 millimetres long, which is pretty epic

by today's standards.

And I guess would've come in handy

for levering his way up the burgs.

Because he's only got a 41-tooth inner chaining on there,

making it 41 and 53 up front.

We've also got the old-school Shimano

SPDR Dura-Ace pedals on there as well.

Now, wheels on this.

Classic bike-lovers will rejoice

at the Ambrosio Nemesis wheels on there.

Complete with Durex coating.

Yeah, seriously, Durex.

It says it on the rim.

Now, at that time, all Classics riders were still using

the box section aluminium rims.

Super comfortable, super durable.

And although some riders, Museeuw himself,

had dabbled in deep section aerodynamic wheels

quite a long time before this point,

these were still the to-go wheel of choice

for the Classics.

The tyres are also not the exact ones

that Museeuw used in the 2000 Tour of Flanders.

On that day, he was using green Vittorias.

Here, he's got Vittoria Corsa CXs

that are quite a lot narrower than he would've used

on the cobbles of Flanders.

He'd have gone for 25s, whereas these are

probably like 21s.

Now, if you're thinking to yourself,

"Goodness me, that is an awfully long stem,"

you'd be right, because it is.

It's 140 millimetres long, which is quite surprising

given that it's a fully custom bike.

But nonetheless, it's certainly in keeping,

especially it being a Colnago owned brand stem.

And handlebars are ITM, and the seatpost, as you can see,

is a now little-seen Shimano one.

Then the other thing, the last thing

I'm gonna point out for you is this.

Which is brilliantly retro.

It is the wired cycle computer.

Johan used a cat-eye computer on there.

And you can see the wire very neatly tied up

next to his brake cable up there.

This is an iconic and quite formidable bike,

all capped off by the now legendary Mapei colour scheme.

And yes, I definitely was one of those people

for whom this was a dream bike.

If it isn't now, actually, still.

But I was lucky enough to actually ride it.

than the others in a sentence.

- Yes, I know, very romantic.

He fell madly in love with George, but this love was impossible and he had to resolve himself to

travel across nature. - He's taking a stroll outside, without even suspecting

- whatsoever. It's taking a stroll, innocently, without suspecting that at its heart, it carries an accent.

But Serge also met plenty of other words, including 3 syllables or more words. And these words, he says,

we must use a total of 7 rules to place their stress.

- So...It won't change anything in the place of the stress.

- Yeah, we don't call them weak suffixes for nothing.

- "Animal" is respecting the first rule, the one which says that the stress goes on the first except if contraindication.

We saw that there are 7 rules that allow us to place the stress in a 3 syllables or more word.

We already have rule n°1 and n°2. Today, let's see rule n°3 and n°4.

Last time, I was cool, I didn't go too hard on you, I showed the pretty side of stuff

by showing you 2 rules that don't change anything and suffixes that don't change anything either.

But, believe me, there's plenty of suffixes that make a mess.

And so, we're going to see some of them today. Start the opening.

It might be true that there are 6 billion people in the world and counting...

Tonic stress and suffixes

Rule n°3 : Suffixes that make a mess are not rare, there are so many that I feel obligated to

read the list to you. I even made myself a paper teleprompt especially for the occasion

to be able to read them to you.

Among suffixes that have this mess label, we find -able. Oh, it rhymes !

We also find its cousin -ible, and also -cian, -ery, -ian, -ic, its cousin -ics, -ian, -ish, -ia, -ient,

-ious, -osis, we also find -ual, its cousin -ial and finally : -etyyyyyyy.

The general rule is : suffixes ending in i or u, preceding a vowel that is followed by a consonnant

will affect the place of the word stress.

But don't go assuming, their cousins, -ic or -ity do all the same, them cheaters !

And how do they do, will you ask ? Well, they place the accent on the syllable that precedes the suffix.

For -able, we're going to find DURable or LAUGHable.

For -ible, we're going to find comPAtible or reSIStible.

For -ial, we're going to find diffeRENtial or fiNANcial.

For -cian, we're going to find phySIcian, cliNIcian or muSIcian.

For -ian, we're going to find coMEdian, ciVIlian or techNIcian.

For -ery, we're going to find aDULtery or deBAUchery.

For -ic, we're going to find arCHAic, plaTOnic or characteRIStic.

For -ics, we're going to find diaBEtics, TOpics or phoNEtics.

For -ion, we're going to find classifiCAtion or vegeTAtion.

For -ia, we're going to find bacTEria or VicTOria.

For -ient, we're going to find ProFIcient or inGREdient.

For -ious, we're going to find mysTErious or reLIgious.

For -ish, we're going to find emBEllish or esTAblish.

For -osis, we're going to find Hypnosis, OSmosis or diAgnosis.

But beware of exceptions that will find their stress on the first syllable

like for example POlitic, CAtholic, SPIritual or else, HEretic.

Well, after that, the stress isn't necessarily placed on the first syllable for all exceptions.

There are exceptions for which the stress will be placed on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th syllable,

it depends on the exception, but I don't want to make a list out of it, because it would be boring.

On the same page, beware of words like Comic. It looks like a suffix, it tastes like a suffix

but it's not a suffix, because the word com doesn't exist.

Moreover, this word has 2 syllables, so it doesn't work.

Rule n°4 : We'll place the stress on the antepenultimate syllable

for all words ending in -cy, -ty, -phy, -gy and -al.

- WHAT ? WHAAAAT ? Wait dude, are you serious ? In the last video, you told us that when it

- ended by -al, it didn't change anything, and now you're saying it changes everything ?

- And you also use over-complicated vocabulary to explain it, like, what does it mean

- antepenultimate, it's you who should be an inmate ! Seriously, you suck ! Go away !

Therefore, we'll find words like PHARmacy, DEmocracy, Allergy, geOgraphy, CLArity or also

CRItical.

And you see that for each of these words, the stress is on the antepenultimate syllable.

Oh, and by the way, the same thing goes for Animal. Yes, I know, I told you in a previous video

that if we place the stress on the first syllable on Animal, it is thanks to the 1st rule, but no, it's thanks to

the 4th rule ! Because the first syllable of Animal is also its antepenultimate one.
