I think this is a great experience. It tells us how much work they put in to keep this community looking good.
It might not look that way at first, when you see all the work they put in
you really admire how much work it is.
Like things I see is the, so far as the bird watching and
experiencing this over here, the bugs and the fish, I like it.

The Grand Calumet River is historically is a very biologically diverse area
and it also has a very unique ecosystem associated with it, the globally rare dune and swale complex which is associated next to the river.
It is globally rare. There's only about 17,000 acres left on the entire planet of this kind of habitat.
I've gotten the chance to see many birds that I haven't seen before
or that I didn't know was in this area. So that was very interesting to me.
I like how they put so much into cleaning up and removing the pollution so the fish would be healthy.
All the different types of fish that they have and they caught in the lake
and how they planting the trees so that little oak forest would grow back.
I just think that's extremely breathtaking.
This is one of my favorite events that I do out of the whole year.
It is so rewarding to bring students out from the local neighborhood
to get to experience nature, to get to see birds, fish
all these local species that they could find right in their backyards.
I love that they're bringing back the native plants and native animals and trying to get rid of the pollution.
and when I get older, even now if I can, I'm going to try help so I can make it better too.

President Moon orders probe into four additional THAAD launchers in S. Korea - Duration: 2:08.
The deployment of THAAD in South Korea has been at the center of controversy for months
now.
Dumping fuel all over that fire is the shocking discovery of changes related to the U.S. anti-missile
system;... changes that almost went undetected.
President Moon Jae-in has ordered a thorough probe into how four additional THAAD launchers
were brought in... without his knowledge.
Moon Connyoung starts us off.
"President Moon Jae-in today ordered his Secretary of Civil Affairs and Chief National Security
Adviser to thoroughly investigate the unreported, undisclosed introduction of four additional
launchers in the nation."
A probe order from the president... announced Mr. Moon's chief press secretary... after
Seoul's defense ministry failed to report to his administration
that four more launchers for the controversial U.S. missile defense system, THAAD, had been
brought into South Korea.
The anti-missile battery was initially deployed earlier this year under the former administration...
with just two of its maximum load of six launchers... as a way to counter increasing missile threat
from North Korea.
"President Moon said he was "shocked" to learn from his national security chief that four
additional THAAD launchers were brought in without being reported to the new administration
or to the public."
The presidential office said the former government's defense ministry had even omitted this fact
from its policy briefing report to President Moon's de factor transition team last week...
noting there are suspicions that it may have been to avoid social and political scrutiny
over the possible impact the launchers could have on the environment.
"During his successful campaign for the May 9 presidential election, Mr. Moon had called
for a parliamentary review of the system, whose deployment has also infuriated China,
North Korea's lone major ally.
He hasn't yet done so... and when asked whether President Moon would pull the launchers out
of the country if procedural flaws are found, the nation's top office said it hasn't yet
reviewed the possibility.

Remote Extraction of Biological Signals - Duration: 8:18.
Hi and thank you for watching my video I will highlight some of the more
interesting research currently being conducted into the induction and
extraction of biologically generated signals in the human body. I'll also
bring to light what I would consider to be a major hole in current research
which I believe is serving to slow studies overall. There is a tremendous
amount of biological research being pursued today in fact for over 140 years
hard science has been performed on the human body and other living organisms
alike. It is well known and understood that the body uses biologically
generated electrical signals to operate. Electrical signals are generated and are
used by the brain and its general functioning. The nervous system is a
conduit used to transmit electrical signals throughout the body both to and
from the organs tissues and muscles. Research started well before 1912 when
Hans Berger discovered that the human body produced electrical signals that
could be measured on the scalp. In 2013 the US government launched a brain
initiative which is a program that provides funding for research into how
the human brain operates and also obtain a greater understanding of its basic
functions. This initiative has helped new science forward by allowing research that
might not have been pursued prior has a lacked a high return on investment.
Research has enabled scientists the ability to locate and map brain
functions to specific regions of the brain. As well providing an ability for
many researchers to publish their findings into a common database has
allowed for more detailed map of the human brain to be developed. This is
allowed to the discovery of where more of our brain functions are located and
how they work. Scientists have begun to reverse decode
how the human eye interprets light and sends the signal to the brain this
is leading to the generation of a prosthetic eye.
Using neural prosthetics brain to computer systems have been used to
enable paralyzed people to walk again. Work is being done to decode how and
where in the brain it processes sounds and speech. For instance when you read
silently and are thinking during problem-solving you speak to yourself
using your inner voice. Scientists have located the part of the brain where this
is processed and have been able to decode it. We have discovered that while
the electrical signals generated by the brain are unique to each person we share
common brain functions, processes, and encoding and decoding techniques. We
have even found the missing link between our immune system and the brain.
Unfortunately the majority of research requires invasive surgery meaning the
scientists require the ability to physically access and touch the brain.
This slows research and forces the person being experimented on to be subjected to
dangerous surgeries and thus limits the amount of research that is being
performed as well results can become questioned as the individual is
undergoing a physical hardship and is often only partaking in the research
because they are already undergoing surgery for some other reason. It must be
remembered that the body generates a tremendous amount of energy so much so
that the brain activity can be read by devices that merely touch the scalp.
In fact electrical signals generated by the brain can now be read by
equipment located as far away as the wrist from the brain. Because electrical
signals generated by the heart are larger in intensity they can be read by
devices located even further away. Of course if the body uses electrical
signals to operate it can therefore be manipulated by equivalent signals being
applied to it. We have discovered that we can manipulate emotions, wake patients
after having lapsed into a coma, change a person's moral judgments, speed the
learning process, and even slow or reverse Alzheimer's.
This is done through the application of a magnetic field being applied to the
brain by a magnet external to the body or by RF signals. Oddly, research seems
focused on invasive technologies and is currently focused on the brain.
A review of whole body electrical signal generation is not being pursued as
aggressively in fact this type of research is often met with negativity
and may be referred to as holistic which carries a negative connotation.
I find this odd considering that biologically generated signals or of the
strength to have been detected back in 1929 using equipment far less sensitive
to our more modern equipment. And although little research is being done
we are able to read brain generated signals by devices that do not touch the
skin we need to be worn on the body.
Often I am told that the signals are too small and weak to be read however I
point out that NASA has satellites that can detect water content in the soil by
measuring the amount of microwave energy being radiated -- from space -- and through
all that interference. We can also measure the electrical signals generated
by a computer through a steel reinforced concrete wall by a device located 30
meters away. Yet we can't detect biological signals generated by the body.
Nor do we apparently see any reason to... My name is Don. I'm not a research
scientist. This has not been done for cash or reward. The only reward I seek is
for the freedom of the people who are confined to technology. Technology that
keeps them alive or improves their quality of life such as those confined to
life-saving or monitoring equipment and hospitals, those suffering from limited
mobility due to requiring constant monitoring of health for seizures, or
for the elderly who want to live more independently then restrictions
currently allow. Research is currently limited to the reach of physical cables,
the wearing of equipment touching you, or implanted technologies. I wish to
remove these restrictions by promoting the discovery of technologies that allow
for people to be monitored by equipment that does not restrict mobility or need
to be implanted as I believe only then will these individuals be freed from the
technology. So I am promoting research into the remote extraction of biological
signals using touch-less technologies. I'm against invasive technologies as they
increase health risks, restrict mobility, or can be easily visually identified. I
believe this research should be focused on both the brain and the whole body. The
nervous system generates measurable electricity. This coupled with our
understanding of how the regions of the brain operate, I believe that we should
be able to read the body's overall generated signals.
Quantum Biology has opened the door to our having a greater understanding of how
biological entities have leveraged our environment in ways that we had not
prior considered. For decades we pondered how frogs can reshape their bodies
without the biological material breaking down. Research is redefining our
understanding of how our sense of smell works. It has also helped to explain how
birds can follow established migration patterns, which for a long time we will
believed to be driven by memorized behavior. Perhaps this research will help us
identify a way of extracting biological signals remotely. Links to the
