Today in this video I am going to demonstrate the Ibanez Bi-Mode Chorus with the Roland Juno-1 Synthesizer
An analog pedal. Uses Panasonic BBD chips in it.
This particular one was made in Japan
It's a single BBD [delay] line
and so it is a single chorus line
But it uses two LFOs to modulate that chorus
One line over here is the slow line
It goes from 0.3 Hz to 3 Hz
then the other one is 0.8 Hz to 8 Hz
So this is probably the main delay line
And this is a rider LFO that modulates that one
So what it does is break up the sweeping sound typical of a chorus pedal
It is a stereo out, but it's a FAKE stereo out.
It has one actual effects output: one chorus
This other one is a copy of that one but it is inverted
Most of you music guys out there will know this is a BIG no-no
If this ever ends up mixed to a mono signal...
mixed with its inverted self
will be come cancelled out
you won't hear anything and you will ask yourself where did this sound go?
A better way to do that is to use a delay pedal
by using a simple stereo delay
