Hello and welcome to Chronique Metal for a new short review on the first album of the French band Vicious Grace titled All My Gods Are Monsters
reserved of course to lovers of ... of what in fact ...
Hello friends and welcome to the Chronique Metal Tutorial! Today we will learn how to make a surprising band.
First of all we add the base that will be found in all the tracks:
- Alternative Rock for the more energetic side, even Metal
- After Pop and Indie Rock to add softness and light to all that. We're not just bullies
-And distortion on the guitars coupled with clear guitars to give a very nice result
Well you can continue to embellish this project add,
I don't know: -Electric keys not to harm any community
- Breakdowns and double-pedal to add even more energy to this project
- And not to be too violent we can even add some violins
In short once you have complied with all these conditions, you mix well
and you get Vicious Grace with their first album!
So, you'll have understood Vicious Grace brings us a music rich in influences and surprises
because it was difficult to imagine that such a band could exist.
So I can easily understand why the band was able to play on radios such as NRJ or France Bleu.
The songs will therefore be varied enough and filled with a certain melancholy supported by the unusual singing of David.
But this won't affect the federative chorus that will remain in your heads for a while.
Vicious Grace is for me a bit the UFO of the French music scene because It had to be thought to mix so many influences in one band.
Hum.. But I also want to reassure prog lovers,
the band won't hesitate to link to its tracks some atmospheric and flying parts before to hear the explosion of devastating riffs.
Good points
A mix of federating influences
A successful and surprising album
A nice listening for an album that doesn't drag out
Negative points
A typically French accent of the singer on certain words during the music
but which must represent at the most 1% of the lyrics
In conclusion: a nice album that go off the beaten track with real risk taking pleasant and detonating!
It's difficult to find a song to throw away; here we don't make filling but refinement.
Because we feel that the mix has to be fun in many ways to deliver this music with as many effects just right.
The mark for this album is 17/20
