With the next global crisis rapidly approaching, how will gold perform during the next round
of worldwide carnage?
How Will Gold Perform During Next Financial Crisis?
The analysis of gold in a portfolio context is a well-worn tradition in our annual gold
studies.
We presented an extensive discussion of the extraordinary portfolio characteristics of
gold, the relationship between gold and interest rates, as well as the opportunity cost of
holding gold in the 2015 In Gold We Trust report, while in 2016 we examined to what
extent gold is suitable as a hedging instrument, i.e., as portfolio insurance.
In this context we considered gold as a fundamental component of a permanent portfolio and thereafter
discussed its anti-fragility properties…
First, we will examine the relationship between gold and the US dollar.
This relationship is particularly important in crisis situations.
In the subsequent section we will delve more deeply into the relationship between gold
and real interest rates, and in the last section we will take a closer look at the relationship
between gold and stocks.
In this context, we are focusing particularly on the performance of gold during severe bear
markets in stocks.
Gold and the US Dollar Despite the structural problems of the US
economy, the US dollar remains the undisputed senior international fiat currency and with
that a mirror image of global events.
The following chart shows the thirty-month rate of change of the USD Index.
As one might suspect, the USD Index is very useful as a coincident indicator of economic
and political events and crisis situations, as it regularly mirrors local crises.
Crisis situations abroad that don't impact the US economy directly – such as the Latin
American debt crisis, or the Asian & Russian crisis – traditionally lead to flight into
the dollar.
A rising USD Index reflect these developments.
Particularly in such stress situations many investors still have confidence in the US
dollar and regard it as a safe haven from external threats – a quality frequently
attributed to gold as well.
In line with this, one might be inclined to expect a positive correlation between gold
and the US dollar.
As the chart above illustrates, this is not the case though.
In reality there is a significant negative correlation between the USD Index and gold.
How does that mesh?
A possible explanation for the negative correlation between gold and the dollar may be found in
the attribute as a safe asset in crisis situations.
Although the dollar and gold may superficially be considered substitutable, a closer examination
reveals a different picture.
In local crises, the US dollar is seen as a desirable asset by many market participants
because the survival of the fiat money system as such is not questioned.
It Is Different In A Systemic Crises It is different in the case of systemic crises.
In these situations, confidence in fiat currencies and the banking system is shaken and many
market participants pay heed to gold's historical function as money.
Particularly in systemic crises, gold is perceived to maintain its value, while paper money is
in danger of becoming completely worthless.
In general, the traditional inverse correlation between gold and the US dollar is very helpful
in a portfolio context to reduce volatility.
That applies specifically to the current market environment, since the US dollar has already
appreciated significantly against other fiat currencies in recent years.
Over the medium to long term not only the instability of the monetary system, but the
US dollar's high valuation should provide significant upward potential for gold.

This sort of situation happens a lot.
Little kids,
when they first start learning to walk,
between 1 to 3, or 4 years old,
they love to move around,
especially boys.
When they are playing with other children,
if they fall a few times,
they will not tell their parents.
That is one situation.
Another situation is that we have found
that in some cases,
their parents have them practice dancing.
There are many cases like that.
Or the boys practice martial arts,
and the result is that
in these cases the incidence rate
of avascular necrosis of the femoral head
is higher than in ordinary children.
Even children can get avascular necrosis of the femoral head ?
Yes, they can.
Our youngest case was in a two-year-old.
A two-year-old had avascular necrosis of the femoral head.
What were they studying, that they got that?
That is right, are not they just learning to walk at that age?
What happened was that as he was learning to walk, he fell a lot.
Some parents take care of them better.
For example, elderly people might help them walk
and they will gradually get better.
But if there is no elderly people to help them,
and the parents are busy,
the child learns by themselves,
and if the fell, they fell.
You mean that in regards to exercise on sports
children might need to do things
based on their own traits,
including their skeletal development.
They can not be excessive.
A children body is immature and weak,
when they are growing up and developing
parents should avoid
all improper practice and exercise,
so that the children`s femurs
are not unnecessarily damaged.
These are three obvious symptoms
of avascular necrosis of the femoral head...
pain, limping
and physical dysfunction,
meaning that daily activities become difficult.
These are two or three-year-olds
who have repeated external trauma,
and the parents do not pay much attention,
but in the end it causes
avascular necrosis of the femoral head....
this is a very common situation.
There is a guest in the studio who is a mother.
Let us have her talk about her family.
Right.
I have a little girl
who is four and a half now.
Before she got sick,
about two years ago,
her symptom was pain in her legs.
She would say to me,
`Mommy, my leg hurts.`
I asked her why her leg hurt,
and where it hurt
And I would ask her and she would point to her thigh,
and say that it hurts.
At the time,
I did not pay it much mind,
but a few days later,
she said her leg hurt again,
so I took her to the hospital for an examination.
When we were in the hospital,
the doctor said
that she might have bumped into something
and pulled a muscle,
that it should not be a big deal...
And I did not think much of it.
So I went back home.
A little over half a month after
looking at the way she walked,
I could tell that she limping a bit.
So I took her
back to the hospital,
and they gave her an x-ray,
something that I asked them to do.
I said, give us an X-ray,
because she keeps saying her leg hurts.
And then after that, the doctor said
that it was ischemic ephiphyseal necrosis.
At the time, I could not believe it.
How could my daughter
get this sort of disease.

Russian Overkill for the Ultimate Doom and Doom II Hell On Earth, is one of the most crazy and wicked mods you will ever play.
You character(s) are heavily overpowered with having access to the most sophisticated arsenal you can ever imagine.
There are also some elements you can recognize from the Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 and Command & Conquer Renegade.
This time I've finally found a control to summon the Warpocalypse to clear the area from hellspawn - just skip to 48:05
Black Warpocalypse is armed with miniguns and missile launchers, no hordes of forces of Hell can stop it.
There are also some more new toys I've found - but they make this game also easier.
As the drawback, the performance is also somewhat worse :D.
Under the 7th slot of weapons, there is a railgun Sniper Cannon known from Bulletstorm and the fast firing Railgun.
The Railgun Cannon has a much higher damage per single shot, but it's also way slower in firing but it can destroy multiple targets with one shot.
The fast firing Railgun weapon, perfect choice when room is full of weaker demons like Zombies or Imps, but can take also stronger foes quickly.
The weapon from 8th slot that fires big yellow orbs, do not use the alternate fire when you are close to the explosion, instant death is sure.
And I've figured also out that the Minigun from 4th slot that shoots jet fighters... they drop bombs too.

Avascular Necrosis of Femoral Head : From Injury and Fracture - Duration: 2:45.
Let us talk about avascular necrosis of the femoral head. caused by injury.
Let us take a look at a case to learn more about it.
Zhang Zexin is 18 years old,
and a native of Heilongjiang.
From her condition,
we can see that she walks unevenly. T
his is because five years ago,
when she was thirteen,
she accidentally took a fall.
It was when I was at school,
there was a slope,
and it was a little bit slippery, so I slipped.
She did not think that there was anything serious,
but what happened next
was something that Zhang Zexin and her parents
would never have imagined.
It was hard for them to bear.
At first, they treated me for synovitis.
then, two weeks later,
they said it was a fracture,
and the hospital put rods in it.
This is her first surgery during the first stage.
Then, there is the second surgery.
the second surgery was five months after the first.
For five months,
she was using crutches to walk around.
And she was feeling much better,
and tossed her crutches away.
But not long afterwards,
I could see that when she walked,
she limped a little bit,
and so we went back to the hospital.
After we went back to the hospital,
they X-rayed her,
and discovered it was an old fracture.
And it felt like at that hospital,
they did not have any way to treat her.
With nowhere else to go,
her parents brought her
for hospitalization in Beijing,
where the doctor diagnosed her
with avascular necrosis of the femoral head.
We were saying that
we saw with this case, she just fell down.
Let us ask Dr. Chen, if we have this sort of injury,
like a car accident or falling from a high place,
how should we reduce the injury
we may receive?
It is just one word.
Everyone guess what it is. Dodge.
Dodge?
It is already happened.
You have already fallen.
Then `endure.
`Early.
Get treated early.
What we want to draw everyone`s attention to is
cumulative injuries.
What that means is that,
it might not be very serious each time,
just like one of the guest said,
it was not very serious,
so they did not pay much attention to it,
but after they acumulate many of the same injuries,
it will lead to this sort of situation.

Suppose the goal is to describe particles that are really fast and therefore behave relativistically.
The approach, we will take here is the Klein-Gordon equation. Many physicists around
1926 tried to describe the movement of electrons.
Although the Klein-Gordon equation fails to do exactly that, it was published by Oskar Klein and Walter Gordon in order to describe
Relativistic electrons. That was around the same time as Schrödinger published his equation which is purely non relativistic,
but applicable to electrons. The Klein-Gordon equation is still very
important, as it turned out to describe spinless relativistic particles such as pions and the Higgs particle.
These were not known at the time, but are bosonic particles, which are part of the current standard model of particle physics.
The most important aspect in the Ansatz is that the relativistic dispersion relation must be followed.

phase theta moving in space given by a cosine. Here again the frequency and the wave vector are connected
Suppose we put the wave function in a box and apply periodic boundary conditions.
So when the wave function travels the distance L it goes over into its origin which can travel either left or right.
The most general solution is thus given by a superposition of such plane waves by summing over all possible
wave vectors.

Russian Overkill 2.5 - The Warpocalypse has just begun u.u - Duration: 1:06:02.Russian Overkill for the Ultimate Doom and Doom II Hell On Earth, is one of the most crazy and wicked mods you will ever play.
You character(s) are heavily overpowered with having access to the most sophisticated arsenal you can ever imagine.
There are also some elements you can recognize from the Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 and Command & Conquer Renegade.
This time I've finally found a control to summon the Warpocalypse to clear the area from hellspawn - just skip to 48:05
Black Warpocalypse is armed with miniguns and missile launchers, no hordes of forces of Hell can stop it.
There are also some more new toys I've found - but they make this game also easier.
As the drawback, the performance is also somewhat worse :D.
Under the 7th slot of weapons, there is a railgun Sniper Cannon known from Bulletstorm and the fast firing Railgun.
The Railgun Cannon has a much higher damage per single shot, but it's also way slower in firing but it can destroy multiple targets with one shot.
The fast firing Railgun weapon, perfect choice when room is full of weaker demons like Zombies or Imps, but can take also stronger foes quickly.
The weapon from 8th slot that fires big yellow orbs, do not use the alternate fire when you are close to the explosion, instant death is sure.
And I've figured also out that the Minigun from 4th slot that shoots jet fighters... they drop bombs too.
