Santa Fe Public Schools considering dropping the D-grade from the grading scale - Duration: 2:14.LITTLE HARDER..
THERE )S AN IDEA TO GET
RID OF THAT GRADE... AND
MAKE THE LOWEST PASSING
GRADE A "C".
NEWS 13 )S JEANNIE NGUYEN
SPOKE WITH THE
SUPERINTENDENT
ABOUT THE IDEA.
RIGHT NOW GETTING A "D"
IN A CLASS IN SANTA FE
STILL MEANS YOUR
PASSING...
BUT THE DAYS OF THE "D"
GRADE MAY BE NUMBERED.
1:23 "Does raising the
expectation by
eliminating the D grade
actually result in
improved student
achievement?" 1:30
THAT )S THE QUESTION
SANTA FE PUBLIC SCHOOL
BOARD MEMBERS
ARE ASKING BY
INTRODUCING THE IDEA OF
DROPPING THE D-GRADE
FROM
THE GRADING SCALE.
2:40 "The intent was to
raise the bar. That if
students knew there
wasn )t a D available,
that they
would work harder to
meet the C grade." 2:50
BOARD MEMBER STEVE
CARILLO PROPOSED THE
IDEA DURING A RECENT
MEETING AFTER SEEING ITS
SUCCESS IN OTHER
DISTRICTS AROUND THE
COUNTRY.
BUT SUPERINTENDENT
VERONICA GARCIA SAYS
THERE COULD BE
CONSEQUENCES.
1:45 "What can happen,
you can inflate the GPA
and perhaps increase
graduation rates but not
necessarily improve
proficiency." 1:54
SO FAR -- THE IDEA IS
GETTING POSITIVE
REACTION FROM STUDENTS.
2:36 "I )ve been getting
like, D )s, D )s, D )s, and
then if we get rid of
it, I think I might be
able to get A )s." 2:45
6:21 "We deserve it.
We )re in 6th and 7th
grade, we should know
that it )s not easy peasy
lemon squeezy." 6:30
BUT OTHERS ARE
SKEPTICAL.
7:31 "To motivate a
child, it goes beyond a
letter grade. It goes
for the heart of the
teacher and the heart of
the
student." 7:36
BUT THE SUPERINTENDENT
SAYS PARENTS AND
STUDENTS
(SHOULDN )T ( EXPECT A
DIFFERENCE IN THE
GRADING SCALE ANY TIME
SOON.
6:33 "There is no change
immanent for the Santa
Fe Public Schools next
year." 6:37
IF THE GRADING SCALE
DOES CHANGE -- THE
SUPERINTENDENT SAYS
TEACHERS WILL NEED TO
COME UP WITH THEIR OWN
PERCENTAGE VALUE
OF WHAT EACH LETTER
GRADE WOULD MEAN.
DEAN -- BACK TO YOU
OKAY JEANNIE.
SANTA FE PUBLIC SCHOOLS
PLANS RESEARCHING THE
PROS AND CONS OF
ELIMINATING THE D-GRADE
THIS UPCOMING SCHOOL
YEAR.
IF THEY DECIDE TO DO
IT... THEY WOULD NEED TO
PROPOSE IT TO THE BOARD
DURING THE NEXT SCHOOL
YEAR FOR APPROVAL.

PARIS JACKSON AUSTRALIAN VOGUE MAKEUP TUTORIAL | mmirandalaurenn - Duration: 15:06.Hi everyone!!
Hey everyone!
Welcome back to my channel!
Today, I'm going to be doing a Paris Jackson Australia Vogue inspired makeup tutorial.
I originally saw the look on her Instagram.
Wait.
Move it.
Oh.
Move...Oh..Oh.
This one right here.
Wait.
Let me see.
Let me give.
Let me get that creds real quick.
One time.
Alright, so it looks like the original makeup artist was James Kaliardos.
I will leave his Instagram in the description bar below, so you guys can check it out.
Because it was originally his look.
But, I was so inspired by it.
I wanted to show you guys how to re-create it for yourselves.
So, if you want to see how to get this look, then keep on watching.
So, I'm going to start by taking the Bio Derma Ca--wait.
Uh.
This is the Bio Derma Corrective Care For Enlarged Pores Skin Refining Blemishes.
It's just a skincare product that kind of clears up the blemishes, and I've been using
it kind of as a primer for my makeup.
I'm going to take the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer with
SPF.
With a duo fiber brush, I'm going to kind of buff that in a little.
For foundation, I'm going to take the Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin Foundation.
This is just the one that I've been using recently.
So, I like to apply mine with a disposable makeup sponge.
Okay.
We are going to highlight the face with some concealer.
So, I'm going to actually take some concealer to highlight the high points of the face.
I'm going to take the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer.
So, I'm going to go underneath the eye, all on tops of the cheekbone.
Okay, I'm also going to kind of go on the sides of the nose, and go on the Cupid's Bow,
and the sides of the lips.
A little bit on the round of the chin, and then right above the brow, and kind of haze
that upwards.
And then, I'm going to do a little bit of a contour on the nose, and a little cut of
the contour right here.
Taking the other side of my little spongie, I'm going to tap that in.
Okay, so I am going to do a little bit of a cream contouring type thing.
So, I'm going to take some Maybelline Fit Me!
Concealer in the shade, 30 Cafe, which is kind of a brownish concealer.
And right on that contour, I'm just going to make one single line, and just use this
as a base for my contouring.
I'm just going to keep tapping along that line, until it is completely blended out.
I think I do want to do just a little bit of a cream highlight, so, I'm going to take
the Benefit Watts Up Stick Highlighter.
And, with this, I'm just going to go on the high points of the cheekbones, and really
make a C shape around that eye with the highlight.
I'm also going to take a little bit of that on the Cupid's Bow.
So now, I think I want to set the face.
Um..
So I really want to brighten up the under eyes, so, I'm going to take the Kat Von D
Translucent Setting Powder, and I'm going to get a clean makeup sponge, and dip into
that.
And, I'm going to pack this right underneath the eyes, to brighten it up, but I'm going
to kind of try and avoid the highlighter area of the face, because I want that to stay as
dewy as possible.
And then, I'll bring that down a little bit, just to shape out the cheekbones a little.
So, I'm going to kind of expand the apples of the cheeks with this powder, and that will
make this contour really harsh.
And then, for the rest of the face, I'm just going to take a little bit of that powder
onto a brush (not too much) and just quickly run over it.
I always like to set my face.
It's just something that I always do.
And then, I'm going to go back here, and just kind of wipe away the excess.
I like to kind of, when I'm wiping it under the eyes, I like to kind of pat it away, and
then flick it a little, because I feel like, if I'm being too harsh with it, it will just
pull up the product, and it will make it look really translucent.
Just kind of making sure that it's all blended in.
Okay, so I'm going to do an eye shadow base really quickly.
Um..
I like to use concealer.
I'm going to take the Maybelline Fit Me!
Concealer in 10, which is Light, and I'm going to put a little bit of that onto the lids.
And then, I'm going to tap that in with a little bitty sponge, and then, immediately
after I tap it in, I like to set it, because usually, it creases pretty quickly.
So, I'm just going to set it with that same powder.
Okay, so kind of..Now that I have the basis of the skin done, I'm going to move onto the
eyebrows.
I'm going to start with the Benefit Precisely, My Brow Pencil.
Start with a spoolie, brushing upwards.
And, I want like a natural, but also very composed brow.
I'm going to do like a fusion.
So, I'm going to start mapping out the brow, just by drawing a line on the bottom line,
kind of making little stroke marks throughout it.
And then, I'm going to brush those down as well, and kind of shape out the top line.
Alright, and then, once I've done that, I'm going to kind of just make little stroke marks,
to fill in that top area.
And then, to add a little bit of dimension, I'm going to take the Benefit Brow Zings,
on an angled liner brush, I'm going to take the powder, and kind of go through the brow,
to darken up certain areas, and add a little bit of definition.
No what?
Hold on.
Okay, so I'm going to move into the eye shadow stage of the look.
So, I'm going to take the Too Faced Natural Love Palette, and I'm going to start by dipping
into the shade, Spotlight.
Kind of like a yellow-gold.
And, I'm going to put this right into the socket line of the crease, and slightly hold
it at an angle to that it blends upwards, like almost as like a little transition color.
So, going back into that same exact palette, I'm going to take the shade, Honey Butter,
which is kind of like..Honey Butter.
Hah.
It's like um.. a brownish, peach transition shade.
And, I'm going to do the exact same thing that I did with that Spotlight color.
I'm just going to kind of build up that crease, as sort of a transition.
So, next, I'm going to work on kind of like another transition shade.
I'm going to take the Luxie Tapered Blending Brush.
It's a little bit of a bigger one, and the Jouer Single Eye Shadow in the shade, Truffle.
It's kind of like a matte grey.
Yeah.
It's a matte grey.
And, I'm going to use this as kind of like a transition shade around like different areas
of the eye.
I want to start by kind of blending that outwards from the corner of the eye.
Right underneath the brow, and along that nose contour, and again, just kind of haze
a little bit of that grey in there.
So, I'm going to take the Luxie Blending Brush.
227.
This is kind of like a flat blending brush.
So, I'm going to use this to insert the shadow.
I'm going to take the Jouer Single--ah.
Ooh.
Almost dropped it.
I'm going to take the Jouer Single Eye Shadow in Chestnut, and insert this right into the
socket line.
So now, I'm going to go back into Honey Butter, and kind of blend over those edges, and just
make it smoother.
Yeah, so this one I'm also going to put into the crease, kind of in the same way that I
did with that Chestnut shade, except I'm not going to be as specific with it, I'm just
going to use this to darken up that crease.
This is Jouer Maple.
And then, using what is left on my transition brush, I'm going to blend out those edges
a little bit more.
I'm going to go back into that grey eye shadow that I used a little bit earlier, and I'm
going to kind of go back in with that on the outer edges and just kind of haze my crease
with that grey area.
Next, I'm going to go back into Maple, which I used to darken the crease a little bit more,
and I'm going to take that on a flat shader brush, and I'm going to use this to round
out the eye on the inner corner.
So, I'm going to kind of pack that on the lid, on the inner corner, just so that it
kind of connects to that crease, and rounds, makes my eyes look a little bit more round.
I'm going to move into the lid shade.
I'm going to take the Dirty Little Secret Eye Shadow Crayon in the shade, Gold Plated.
I'm just going to draw this directly onto that lid space.
You guys can take a brush if you want, but I'm going just going to use this as a base
for the eye shadow that I'm going to put on the lid.
So, I'm just putting that right into the center, and kind of making a round shape with it.
I'm going to take the Naked Cosmetics Pigment in the shade, Desert Sunset, and I'm basically
just tapping that right into the center.
I'm going to take a flat shader brush, and I'm going to dip into the Jouer Eye Shadow,
Truffle.
The grey one.
And, I'm going to put this on the outer corner of the lower lash line, and kind of haze it
into that grey.
Going back into Chestnut.
Chestnut.
The matte brown.
I'm going to take that same exact flat shader brush, and haze this on the rest of the lower
lash line, kind of connecting it to that other grey color.
Going back into that Desert Sunset, Desert Sunset pigment, I'm going to take a little
bit on a flat shader brush, and I'm going to put this right on the inner corner of lower
lash line.
And then, for the inner corner highlight, I'm going to take the Covergirl Flamed Out
Eye Shadow Pencil in 340, and put a little bit of that right into the inner corner.
Going back into my Too Faced palette, I'm going to pick up the shade, Poodle.
And then, next, I'm going to take a little bit of the NYX Collection Noir Liquid Black
Eyeliner, and I'm going to put a thin layer of this onto the top lash line.
Just a really, really thin layer.
I'm going to take the Julep Gel Eyes..
Gel Eye Glider in the shade, Smokey Taupe Shimmer, and put this on the inner waterline
of the lower lash line.
For false lashes, I'm going to take the Vegas Nay Easy Elegance Lashes from Eylure, and
I'm going to pop these on top.
Alright, and to finish off the eyes, I'm going to take some Max Factor Masterpiece Max High
Volume Mascara, and put this on the top and the lower lashes.
So, now that I'm done with the eyes, I'm going to move on to the rest of the face.
I'm going to take the Black Radiance Artisan Color Baked Blush in Toasted Almond, and I'm
going to contour with this.
So, I'm going to put this right into the hollows of my cheek, along that contouring line, and
build it.
For blush, I'm going to take Laura Geller Baked Gelato Vivid Swirl Blush in Rosewater,
and I'm going to touch this right on top of where I put that contour.
And for highlighter, I'm going to take the Tarte Spellbound Glow Highlighter.
Rainbow Highlighter.
No.
Okay.
Tarte Rainbow Highlighter in Spellbound Glow.
That's right.
And, I'm going to apply this actually using a Real Techniques Setting Brush, because I
want it to be pretty intense.
So, I'm going to put..I'm going to start on the forehead.
I'm going to put this right above the brow, and pull up.
I'm going to pull this down the bridge of the nose, and I'm also going to go on the
Cupid's Bow, and along the top line of the lip.
A little round shape on the chin area.
So, I'm going to kind of follow that line of where I contoured, and make it really really
intense right on top of that.
Okay, so now I'm going to do the lips.
She kind of had like a sheer nude, so I'm going to take the Pixi by Petra Shea Butter
Lip Balm in the shade, Honey Nectar, and put this on the lips.
And then, to finish everything off, I'm going to take the Maybelline Color Elixir Gloss
in the shade, Blushing Petal, and coat the lips with this.
Alright guys.
