hello everybody so today I am going to do my makeup for you. *sneezes* excuse me. Did I
just closed the door with my sneeze? so people have asked me for years and years
to do an everyday makeup routine I've just never done it because I don't know
well I am lazy and just like don't particularly do anything special with my
makeup but I'm gonna do it. I do want to put out some disclaimers. I only shop
cruelty free, everything in this video should be cruelty free. I'm pretty
particular about brands and stuff. if it's not, it's because it was like a
sample or something like that. I also try to purchase things with less plastic or
things that last for a really long time so I'm not burning through things that
are made with lots of plastic. anyway um that's a disclaimer nobody's perfect but
I do shop cruelty-free. I've been cruelty free for years and years. um I
always am quite conscious of these things. if I've made a mistake, I
apologize but yeah just a disclaimer. all right there there's your little intro.
the next clip you see I will be makeup less. say goodbye to these eyebrows. I'm
using a very precarious situation as a tripod right here so oh sorry a few
wobble. so I've just recorded the first part of my skincare routine, um, in the
video that I'm probably gonna put up before this video. so go watch that. it's
my full skincare routine. I'm recording both these videos throughout today. oh my
gosh this is so wobbly. anyway skincare is all applied and fresh-faced,
hairs still wet, so let's put on some makeup. I've actually already put on lip
balm I used the glossy a balm dot com in rose. I love this stuff, it's so good. I
don't really have a specific order when doing my makeup I tend to do my eyes
first and then foundation and face stuff last, just in case I like want to take
off my eye makeup for whatever reason or it like falls or I don't know. I just
do it that way sometimes. the first thing I do is prime my eyes I've been using an
elf one for the past couple of years. my favorite primer of all time is NARS,
their eye shadow primer, but right now I'm using
this little sample from urban decay that I got with a Sephora order or
something. I haven't used this stuff in like years but I figured it's here. first
thing I like to do with my makeup is my eyebrows. I feel even if I'm like not
doing anything, if I'm just like going to the grocery store and that's all I'm
doing that day, I still do my eyebrows cuz I just feel like my face doesn't
look like my face until I have eyebrows. so that's what I'm doing now.
I love the glossier boy brow but I always have to like rub off the excess. anyone
else have that problem? there's just so much product when you first pull out the
wand. I use the color brown. I used to-- I actually just started using this glossier
a product like this year. before this, I only ever filled in my eyebrows with eye
shadow and that's why I used to have like very bold eyebrows as you can tell
I have almost no eyebrows. I have very fair hair on the eyebrows but then I got this
stuff and it's like really nice uh looks more natural I guess and the people
around me said it looked good so I just been using this now. my eyebrows never
look even. it's like a little quirk, that's what I tell myself because I
don't have the patience to make them perfect but I think they look kind of
more real that way so it's fine. then I put on eyeshadow. I have two makeup
palettes and they're both by the same brand. the Anastasia Beverly Hills.
Anastasia? who knows. but I have the modern renaissance and soft glam. soft
glam is fairly new, I got it this year and they're both super pretty. look at
this soft glam. so soft, so glam. what I generally do, both palettes have the
shade tempura which is like this really like creamy color shimmery shade. I've
always used that. I've actually like got very little left in this palette of that
color as you can see. you can also tell this is what I used to use for my eyebrows.
so yes, I just put tempura all over the lid up to my brow bone because it kind
of works a little bit of a highlight for my brow bone. exciting stuff here. by the
way, all of my brushes are very old. I've had this since probably... this is a Mac
brush and I think I got it the first time I got my makeup done at the Mac
counter in like probably freshman year of high school, maybe middle
school to be honest. but this brush is like over a decade old. same with this
one. this is another Mac brush from a thousand years ago. I haven't purchased
Mac makeup in probably six years but I still have the brushes. next I go into my
crease I'm gonna use dusty rose which is the shade under tempera I just like
define my eyeball. you know I feel like this video takes so long cuz I'm like
trying to be more precise and interesting. I usually do my makeup in
under 10 minutes so like while this video might be quite long and it might
seem like I'm very meticulous, I really do the same look every day and it takes
10 minutes. so there's just something about filming it that takes forever.
while I'm here, I'm actually going to curl my eyelashes. I think I bought this eyelash
curler at forever 21 when I was in there with friends who were shopping once. this
is my favorite kind the one that are springy. I have very fine and very like
straight eyelashes they really just stick straight out sometimes a little
bit down so that's like an integral part in doing my makeup. wobble wobble. so
eyelashes are curled back to-- I don't know why I did that in that order.
I just, it happened, we move forward. then I usually do like some sort of darker
shade to like define my eyes. what should i do today I'm wearing like this peach
colored shirt so maybe like this rustic or Sienna.
maybe let's go sienna. it's got a little orange tint to it. so I just put that
outer corner. blend blend blend. where is this brush from? this brush is from...it
doesn't even have like a label anymore. I think
this was from Sigma, I bought like a Sigma brush set about ten years ago
because some youtuber talked about it and they were pretty inexpensive for the
set so I just bought a set and I've had them forever. I'm telling you, you don't
need to buy new makeup brushes that often, fam, just treat them well, give
them a little shampoo once a month and like spot-clean them in between: you're
good. but like that's kind of it for the eyeshadow except to of course blend
blend. this is a brush I bought, or I didn't buy,
I got in a...it used to be what was that called Ipsy or my glam was what it
used to be called when I had it there like my glam bags. just a subscription
service for makeup. it was ten dollars a month or something you got a little
makeup bag with makeup um I think I got this in that years and years ago. so
that's that for eyeshadow for the most part I think.
so next I'm gonna put on mascara. I'm currently testing out the glossier lash
stick ooh fancy. I don't love it. I usually like more like thicker lashes
but you know I don't hate it either so we're trying this out.
I usually also do waterproof mascaras and this is just water resistant so like
if I cry I don't think this will hold up. which is very important because I'm a crier.
one eye, done. my battery light is now flashing and I'm hoping I can just make
it to the end of my makeup routine because we're like over halfway there
and the rest goes by pretty quick. I'm actually thinking about doing a glossier
like wrap up on my feelings because I have most of the makeup from glossier so
I want to test it all for a little bit longer and then I might do like a video
of my feelings. next I do a little bit of eyeliner on the top of my eyes just to
define them to make them like a little bit stand out a little bit and I use the
Kat Von D tattoo liner I've used this for years. I do a very thin line right
along my lashes that's it. I just lined the top lash and then for the bottom
lash line I take this brush don't know where I got
it. it's purple I think I got it in some sort of set that was given to me by a
family member forever ago, who knows, it's a little angled brush I
just take this, I just use the Cypress umber in the soft glam palette which is
just like a brown. I put a little bit on my waterline. just like tiny bit
on the outside corner. not much this actually comes off
throughout the day but I think it looks nice at the beginning. I have very watery
tear ducts, what can I say? that's my eyes done might put a little bit of like
sparkle of some sort on the inner corners and we're good. then my face
makeup which is pretty simple I use the ordinary primer. this is the highly
spreadable fluid primer it's in like full dropper I really like this stuff
I've been using it for a couple months it's very uh I don't know how to explain
it. very like... it's a fluid so it's like more like a oil texture than a thick
cream texture. I just think the makes my face so soft. camera battery did not make
it, so sorry if the angle changed a little bit. I just like don't know what to do with
my hair right now. the foundation I'm currently using is I don't like heavy
foundations. this is The Ordinary again I am digging this brand they sell it in a
store in Deciem in Soho or in Nolita. it's right next to Everlane, so if
you're in the city, I really recommend going to Everlane
and then going to Deciem next door and getting some cheap makeup. this
stuff is like six dollars and it's cruelty free it's really nice. I use the
shade one and very fair neutral. it's literally the first shade, it's the
palest shade cuz look at me. so it's a light serum foundation, so it's quite
liquidy. I put--I don't wear a lot of foundation I put like very little on.
it's like, can you tell? just a tiny a little bit. I take this brush which is by
Real Techniques I think I've had it for since I first moved to London maybe back
before they sold real techniques in the u.s. I just like buff
that in, oh my gosh the camera is wobbling. it's very light coverage but I
still feel like it's smooths everything. super super nice and I like the
consistency. I like how it still feels like my skin. I don't like--I can't wear
powder foundation really because I have quite dry skin and I've never found a
powder that like doesn't look like a powder on my skin, so I've always liked
liquid foundations but I don't like thick liquid foundation so I've always
just stuck to quite light ones. and look at that I still have some like a little
bit left over. so very light with my foundation, just like a nice thin veil
across my skin and also like that kind of looked like it was lighter when I was
putting it on, but I swear that's like true color for me. final three steps I do
a little bit of contouring, bronzing, whatever, chiseling. this shade is called
chisel. it's this one this is from a Tarte palette it's called the Tartist pro
glow to go. Just do a little bit in the hollows of the cheeks, a little bit on
the jawline. honestly not sure how much you can really tell on the jawline or
like I always do the thing where you put it like up here but I feel like you
can't even like see it. sorry I'm looking at myself in the viewfinder so much, I'm
kind of going between using it as a mirror. um but yeah there we go. there's
that. this is an elf bronzing brush by the way, another brush I got in some sort
of bag I think. like Ipsy/my glam bag. I use this for my highlighter. it's just
like a tiny little brush. I don't know if this is actually meant for but I'm just
going to that same palette. I use kind of both of these highlights. I don't really
have a particular one I'm gonna use the middle one which is bursts today. put
that on there, put it on my nose, on my Cupid's bow,
under my like top of my cheekbones and then also put a little bit on the brow
bone and inner corner. get that highlight. sometimes I also use the glossier
haloscope. I have this in Quarts, so I use that sometimes, but it's
a little like creamy and I'm not really feeling the creamy today. and we're
almost done. I have blush and that's it. The only two blushes-- I own a
couple other blushes, but only two I use are the two cloud paints from glossier
that I own. I'm gonna use this one today in beam. the other one I have is dusk, but
I'm going beam today cuz it like basically is the same color as my shirt,
so gotta match it, you know. I use my fingers just cause like I use the tiniest
little bit. I just put a tiny bit on my fingertip, I put on my cheek, I blend it.
just a little. I get quite red, so I don't need a lot of help in the blushing
department. and that's, that's my makeup. I'll put on a lip color at some point in
the day. I'll use this one cuz it's here. glossier
Generation G lipstick in cake.
yeah there you go. that's it. that's my makeup. I did it. normally takes like 10
minutes, I just was chatty and whatever in this video. thank you so much for
watching, let me know if you would be interested in that Glossier
video review series thing. Not series, it would be one video where I go over a ton
of Glossier products I have. let me know if that would be of interest to you and
I'll definitely like do that. if you haven't seen my skincare routine already,
I've already posted that video, so go check it out.
