Lesson 3 of 5 - Reinforcing the Adjustable Beaded Bra Straps - Duration: 3:32.

Once your strap is your desired length, we will be double weaving the six inch tails

through the sides of the strap.

The reason that we do this is to duplicate the layers of monofilament for strength purposes,

as well as to flatten out the strap.

Between the thumb and forefinger of your non-dominant hand, hold the slide end of the strap.

Hold the end of one six inch tail between the thumb and forefinger of your dominant

hand and start double weaving back through the four beads on one side of the first segment.

Stretching out each section of the strap individually often allows you to double weave the tail

through all four of the beads at once.

Weave through five sections and then repeat this process on the other side.

You can very easily see the difference between the double woven and single woven portions

of the strap.

Tie overhand knots after double weaving every fifth segment to ensure durability.

Do this evenly on both sides.

The six inch tails will eventually become too short to comfortably weave.

At that point, tie a final overhand knot on either side and run the remaining tails through two or three more segments.

Using your snips or scissors, cut off the tail ends as close as possible to the strap.

While gently pressing the scissors or snips against the strap, keep the line taut as you cut.

That way, you won't have pointy ends sticking out and the straps will be comfortable to wear.

Lesson 4 of 5 - Adding the Hardware to Your Adjustable Beaded Bra Straps - Duration: 5:11.

Starting at the line ends, slide a G-hook onto the strap.

Making sure the strap is flat and not twisted, weave the ends through one side of the slide

and then through the other.

You can see your strap really starting to take shape now.

We will now be attaching the second g-hook to the unfinished end of the strap using overhand knots.

And it's a relatively inconsequential sidenote, but I always like my g-hooks to face the same direction.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter, you can do it either way.

This process is almost identical to the process of originally attaching the lines to the slide.

The main difference is that we now have beads to watch out for, and that can make things a little trickier.

Run one end through the strap space and pulling it snug, carefully tie an overhand knot.

Maintain the tension of the bead pattern by pulling the line base on one side of the strap while tying the overhand knot on the other side.

We will be duplicating this seven knot process, but unlike when we attach the slide, we are

going to tie the first knot on one side and then tie the first knot on the other side to avoid losing the bead pattern shape.

This allows you to tie all subsequent knots without worrying about things loosening too much.

Tie an additional two overhand knots around the middle bar of the slide on both sides.

You will now have three knots on each side.

Repeat this knot on the other side.

You will now have four knots on each side.

We will now be tying a counterbalance knot by running the line sideways around the three

knots between the line of four beads and the g-hook.

Repeat this step on the other side.

Tie an overhand knot around the middle bar of the slide.

You will now have five knots on each side.

Now, tie two counterbalance knots on each side.

These will be your final sixth and seventh knots.

We are almost done with your first strap!!

Lesson 5 of 5 - More Reinforcement for Good Measure - No Bra Strap Can Be Too Strong - Duration: 3:46.

Move the slide so it rests on the portion of the strap that has already been double woven

which will free up all of the remaining single woven areas of the strap to be double woven.

Double weave both of the lines back through the sides of the strap.

Tie overhand knots after double weaving every fifth segment to ensure durability.

Do this evenly on both sides.

Continue this process until you have reached the point where the double woven six inch

tails end.

Tie your final overhand knots and weave the lines through the final segments.

Trim the lines using the "pull and snip" method.

Look at this fabulous strap you just made!!

Repeat this entire process to create the other strap.
