Chelsea Player Gets Formal FA Warning
News broke late Friday afternoon that the Football Association had given the young Chelsea winger, Kenedy, a formal warning.
The warning has been issued for comments the 21-year-old Brazilian made on the social media network whilst the club were in the Far East on their pre-season tour.
The remarks resulted in Kenedy being sent home early from the tour after being disciplined by Chelsea and with both the club and the player issuing a solemn and sincere apology, relating to the quotes which were deemed to be xenophobic and racist.
Apparently, the Football Association took the advice of a linguistics expert to decide whether Kenedy should be charged with aggravated misconduct.
However, it was deemed that was not the case and the FA also took into account Chelsea`s decision to reprimand the player before issuing a formal warning instead of a charge.
But the formal warning will stay on Kenedy`s record and any further breach of the rules and regulations will result in a charge against the player. Let`s hope the youngster has learned his lesson.
