BBR launches Super 200 pack for new Mazda MX-5

Fabled MX-5 fettler BBR has launched a new 'Super 200' pack for the ND generation of Mazda's svelte roadster.

The upgrade, which costs £2634 in DIY form, boosts the 20-litre MX'5s factory output from 158bhp to a heady 205bhp. Torque climbs, too, from 148lb ft to a more flexible 179lb ft. How much quicker does that make the MX-5?.

Mazda quotes a factory 0-62mph time of 7.3sec. With the upgrade, BBR states that the MX-5 will dispatch the 0-60mph sprint in just 5.65sec. That's quite a significant hike in performance.

In-gear acceleration and general day-to-day drivability is reputedly improved, too, thanks to the extra 31lb ft offered by the Super 200 pack.

So what does BBR change?. For a change, this isn't a simple remap and a few tweaks to the intake system – as you'd probably guessed, given the relatively high price tag.

BBR's upgrades consist of new camshafts, upgraded valve springs and spring retainers, a four-into-one stainless steel exhaust manifold, a new cold air intake system and a custom ECU map. Sounds like it'll give the MX-5 some real pep.

The regular 20-litre MX-5 produces its peak output at 6000rpm and BBR states that many have criticised its unwillingness to rev – taking some edge off the Mazda's driver appeal.

With the Super 200 pack fitted, however, peak power is shifted to a higher 6950rpm, with the limiter just above at 7150rpm – and the revamped engine is claimed to be far more eager in the upper echelons of the rev range.

Consequently, in conjunction with the increased output, the MX-5 should be far more entertaining to drive. Crucially, BBR says that the OEM idle characteristics and safety features are retained, and that the upgrade is compliant with MOT emissions requirements.

Are there any other upgrades available?.

There's a Super 200+ option, which adds a 2.5-inch stainless steel exhaust system, boosting power further to 214bhp and 183lb ft. Two silencer options are offered, granting the choice of a more subtle tone or a louder, more aggressive set-up.

Want to go further? Well, given that the engine's naturally aspirated, you'll start having to spend a lot more.

BBR says it can deliver a gas-flowed cylinder head, which when fitted in conjunction with the other upgrades will result in the engine pumping out 225bhp – but it's a price on application affair. BBR also offers a lesser Super 190 upgrade.

What about the chassis side of things?. BBR's got you covered. You can opt for a sports suspension package, an adjustable anti-roll bar kit and a Wilwood front brake upgrade. .

When can I buy the Super 200 pack – and how much is it? . BBR says the Super 200 upgrade is available now, with prices starting from £2195 ex. VAT) for a DIY version.

You'll pay a higher £3354 (including VAT) for the Super 200 pack all installed and dialled in, however – so it's not a casual upgrade, considering that's 16% of the cost of a new 20-litre MX-5.

BBR says that 12 to 36-month warranty packs are available, however, potentially making it a more appealing upgrade for those who have only recently acquired their Mazda. Do I really need more power in my MX-5, though?.

We'd say, initially at least, no. What the Mazda would benefit from, if you were looking to make it more entertaining and capable, is a suspension upgrade.

Once the chassis, tyres and the brakes aren't the limiting factors, and you've acclimatised to the car, then consider moving onto the powerplant.

New 2018 Aston Martin DB11 Volante previewed - Duration: 1:55.

New 2018 Aston Martin DB11 Volante previewed

Aston's line-up revamp is set to continue with the launch of the new DB11 Volante in early 2018. These preview images show a lightly disguised DB11 Volante, and reveal that the new Aston will feature a folding soft-top roof.

Launching a new DB11-based Volante, outside of widening and refreshing the brand's range, will also give Aston a rival to the likes of the Ferrari California T, Bentley Continental GTC and Mercedes-AMG SL65. It'll be just like the DB11, otherwise?.

Yes – so it'll feature the same twin-turbo V12, eight-speed automatic and beautifully finished interior. Just remember to pack your sunscreen.

Are there no pictures with the roof down?. Not yet – but Aston's holding page for the new DB11 Volante does have an illustration that shows the profile of the new car with the soft-top down.

When will we find out more?. The new DB11 Volante will be available to order in early 2018, so we'd expect to see more of the new convertible towards the middle of next year.

Jaguar I-type unveiled: meet the electric Jag racer - Duration: 2:56.

Jaguar I-type unveiled: meet the electric Jag racer

Jaguar's much-trumpeted return to competitive motorsport is complete with the unveiling of its new Formula E racer, wearing the somewhat inevitable tag of I-type 1.

Shown in public for the first time following Formula E testing at Donington Park, the I-type 1 was driven by reserve team driver Ho Pin Tung alongside former A1GP champion Adam Carroll and New Zealander Mitch Evans.

The event also announced the lead sponsor as electronics giant Panasonic with the team to run under the name Panasonic Jaguar Racing.

James Barclay, team director, held back from making bullish predictions for Jaguar's first season in motorsport since 2004. We know that the challenge will be strong – our competitors have a two-year head start, he told assembled reporters.

We will be keeping our expectations in check in our first season. Ultimately we're here to win but we're here to innovate too.. Why is Jaguar entering Formula E?.

Jaguar will use its Formula E endeavours to push its EV road car strategy, starting with its planned electric crossover in 2018. JLR's executive director of product engineering Nick Rogers is clear about the I-type's role in future Jaguar electric road cars.

Will the Formula E car carry hardware that appears in road cars? he said. Of course no, but so many of the factors are directly relevant; thermal management, the bushings and magnet location in the electric motors.

It's all about transferring power to the road as efficiently as possible..

When can I see the Jaguar I-type in (silent) action?. The I-Type will make its race debut on 8 October 2016 in Hong Kong, the opening round of the 2016 season.

Panasonic Jaguar Racing were seventh fastest on the opening day of the Donington with Carroll behind the wheel.

Flogging a d.e.a.d OX? Flat-pack truck looks for a jump start - Duration: 8:23.

Flogging a d.e.a.d OX? Flat-pack truck looks for a jump start

No, this isn't a refugee from an early '80s issue of Kit Car Magazine. This, despite its retro cuboid looks, is the new OX truck from Global Vehicles Trust.

Well, new in the sense that it's the subject of a recent press release, published to drum up some commercial interest.

We first saw the OX back in 2013, when it did its initial rounds in an effort to garner some financial support. What's it for? It looks a little… agricultural.

The idea behind the OX is an entirely commendable and honourable one. It's a simple, low-cost truck that's designed for developing countries which require a tough, hard-working truck that can carry out myriad tasks. So, what's special about it?.

Well, it's not as small as it looks, for a start. It's about as long as a Volkswagen Golf, but wider and taller, and it weighs 1600kg dry.

Unlike the Golf, however, the OX has a substantial claimed payload capacity of 1900kg and – if otherwise unladen – it can seat up to 13 people, its makers say.

It also has a decent amount of ground clearance, long-travel suspension and a stubby nose and tail, granting it good departure and approach angles. These aspects make it ideally suited to tackling rough terrain.

The OX isn't four-wheel drive, however, which you might expect given its rugged off-road intents. Power comes from a 2.2-litre 16-valve diesel that produces 99bhp and 229lb ft, all of which is sent to the front wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox.

It is reputed to deal with off-roading as well as an equivalent four-wheel-drive rival, however, and the simplicity of its drivetrain could be considered a plus.

Other key features include a tailgate that can be detached and used as a loading ramp, rear bench bases that can be used as planks to help free the OX from mud and sand, and a power take-off (PTO) for driving tools or generators.

Any other interesting features on the OX van?. GVT claims that the OX can be flat-packed within itself, making it easier to ship around the world.

Reputedly, it takes three people some six hours to assemble the flat-packed version; six of these compressed OX vehicles can then be stowed in a regular 40ft container.

Its a clever principle, ideal for getting significant numbers of them out to developing countries quickly and at a sensible cost.

However, the company also says it requires three skilled people up to 12 hours to assemble the OX at the other end – with GVT saying that professional companies will be employed 'to assemble and maintain the finished vehicles.'.

On reflection, it looks like the OX is basically supplied as a bare chassis with the body panels and various parts stacked on top – and it requires a fair amount of work to finish – like many other complete knock-down kits.

Its manufacturer also cites its central driving position as having 'specific advantages for the world's developing countries, some of which have right-hand traffic, while others drive on the left.

' You could argue that GVT has just made it a complete pain in either instance – surely the smart solution would have been an easily swappable steering column assembly?. Who's behind it?  .

Sir Torquil Norman, a British businessman and philanthropist. He envisioned a truck that could provide all-terrain, practical mobility for areas like Africa, and roped in Gordon Murray – yes, that one – to come up with a suitable design.

Norman later founded GVT, to further pursue the concept.

Norman said: 'My inspiration for the OX goes back to seeing the Africar project of the 1980s. This project shares some of the aims of that vehicle, but its execution is radically different.

OX was just a dream six years ago, but it is now a realistic prospect for production with working prototypes that have completed a comprehensive testing programme.'. Wait, is this another stillborn Murray project – like the T25 city car and iStream production?.

Well, regardless of its good intentions, there are hints of that. This project went public in 2013 and, given that several prototypes have now been built, presumably a lot of money has been sunk into it.

A case of escalation of commitment, or a concept that's about to be met with wild success? We'd sincerely hope the latter, but time, as they say, will tell.

On the plus side, in any case, perhaps this project has so far saved us from seeing T25s in the wild – by taking up Murray's time.

After all, for that car to be successful, it needs to look better and be far more justifiable. No-one will want one, otherwise, regardless of how good it reputedly is.

What are the potential sticking points with the OX?. At a glance, there are several issues that may be holding it back:. No word on price yet.

Itll need to be cheaper than alternatives in developing countries It sounds difficult to assemble without OEM support Parts may be hard to obtain when it's out in the boondocks, compared with alternatives Only 2WD which, despite claims, could be problematic – particularly when laden Bringing costs down could entail making it locally, negating any 'flat-pack' benefits Central driving position potentially problematic in some instances.

It's a neat concept, though, but perhaps one that might be considered by some to be unjustifiable in the areas and businesses it is targeting. So, what's next for the OX?.

If anything's to happen, as was the case three years ago, it needs OXloads of money thrown at it.

Norman added: 'Our priority now is to raise the funding to complete the testing and take the project to fruition. We believe that the OX has huge potential for charities, aid organisations and development programmes.

My dream is to one day see an OX in every village in Africa.'.

I have studied the motivation of employees

in family and non-family firms among other topics.

The material we will cover in this set of courses

is based on the course I teach at Columbia Business School.

For our MBA students, this course is a course

requirement since we believe it covers topics

that every person who goes into business should know.

The Corporate Finance Professional Certificate

contains several short courses covering the basic

concepts of finance such as the time value of money,

and the relationship between risk and return.

We apply these concepts through a series

of examples, case studies, and hands on activities.

All of this will be done using industry standard tools.

After taking this course, you will possess the foundations

to be able to value any financial asset.

Specifically, in the course, we will learn how to value

stocks and bonds, and we will devote a large part

of the course to valuing entire companies.

I hope to see you in class. Enroll now

and join me as we dive into corporate finance.

PLOT THEORY - FLAT EARTH - Young people are increasingly seduced - Duration: 9:01.

Hi earthlings then I take his

suites videos with my little articles I had found

they are shorter but there are interesting things like the links are in the description

The article said that young

are increasingly attracted by conspiracy theories, therefore, according to the website

conspiracy watch

an observatory on the phenomenon conspiracy theories is difficult to quantify

but more and more teachers and educators

testifies to say that something happens in young more and more to adhere to conspiracy theories that he discovered on

Internet ensures its street founder isle Reichstadt

so

this article

me and my process of making videos against these theories particular plot flat land

precisely because young

tend to believe more and more to refute it

and to contradict that education tries to teach them

because they have these opportunities to see things on the internet

that are not necessarily true

but they may be for them and suddenly they tend to say

actually what I learn in school is not perhaps the truth and they will go against what the teachers taught

simply because they saw something that was going in the opposite direction on the internet so it's

I think it's pretty serious

I'm not saying that teachers have innate knowledge not saying that they are able to respond to all questions

but beyond question that thousands of years of scientific research has

to show and prove it again today in question

simply on the fact that we read an article on the internet it's serious

ouch lack the critical thinking of young people that's what we should teach them perhaps to school today is to know

check his sources and have a critical mind what you read or what you see on the internet

another article

concerning the conspiracy theory

Article says more one believes least sees clearly

for an amateur conspiracy theories take advantage of social networks to feed people who think the same thing

is self-evident

but it also makes that person more likely to be taken seriously texts that are not sarcastic or Roddick

The reptilian extraterrestrials the trail chains

anti-vaccination skeptics climato

by diving into the theories of scientific flavor to plot

Researchers

behind a research titled six conspiracy against

knew that he would find an inexhaustible material on social networks, especially on Facebook

disseminating misinformation in a

context can be particularly difficult to detect and correct due to the strengthening

Social people are more likely to place their trust

a coherent information with their belief system

so they built a scientific and information sources complotistes board on facebook

but these Italian researchers whose article appeared on February 23

I do not know what year

2000 13 or 14 also analyzed parallel wildlife

users who mocks conspiracy theories and create pages

specifically for the purpose of mocking and researchers quickly saw how these pages are taken first degree

by complotistes and most of those who clicked I love about tickets

Yet clearly satirical or parodic are people who believe in conspiracy and did not grasp that it was a joke

likewise

78% of those who commented were in the movement

complotistes and took the message to the first degree to the point where

it is not uncommon for these messages become viral and be used as evidence in the proceedings online

then what is a conspiracy theory in their eyes

Researchers in psychology have already called this phenomenon the English closure

Closer cognitive trend or

cognitive dissonance this tendency of the human mind has eliminated the ambiguity in order to reach a conclusion

crisp and clear that's what we said in the previous article end of the previous video

in extreme cases

it becomes a form of bigotry which leads to only listen to people who think like you

as soon as someone thinks we listen more and otherwise are not that complotistes who fall for it

Some who are in the pro science camp

do not always grasp the irony or sarcasm, and spend a lot of effort to explain to authors

of irony

in comments why they are wrong

And last article that I found interesting this is

a British scientist who created an equation

for releasing longevity longevity of a plot

david robert grimm this

oxford physicist is based on plots which all won popularity worldwide

after Mr. grimms it is unlikely that a plot that includes thousands or millions

remains secret

according to researcher the likelihood of leakage increases with time and the number of people involved in secret

the researcher began his research by studying the famous theory that neil amstrong has not set foot on the moon

1969

Mr. grimms believes that if the astronaut had not actually set foot on the moon we would have made at the latest

three years and eight months after the end of the mission Apollo 11 as close to four hundred and forty thousand people

working at the time at nasa

the theory of global warming is another example taken by the Scientific

it calculated its longevity based on the amount of specialists and two research centers of employees

the Royal Society and the American Association for the Advancement of Science

four hundred and five thousand people work for the two centers with the index if the warming theory

climate had been a conspiracy we would have known within three years and nine months after its formulation

this kind of lie detector or conspiracy

invented by the British physicist

can operate in the reverse direction i.e. it can sort through the various conspiracy theories to

determine which is actually false

the researcher believes that this equation

is of use to society according to him should not ignore

All conspiracy theories

some of which may be true in most cases and conspiracy theories take over the island

the ideology of reason but it spreads easily

that is why it is so difficult to fight the researchers must understand how and why certain theories

take root in society despite a battery

rational explanation

Here all the articles I found that I wanted to read because there are there great information in there

please go to the sites to replay

please give me your opinion in the comments

I think we can have a debate

very open very long

interesting and informative on the subject

of conspiracy theories and

especially flat ground for some is

considered the mother of the conspiracy theory that is the greater because it includes

many many little theory one attached to the other

So here please

Comment to give me your opinion and I tell you soon for new videos ciao earthlings
