At least 10 dead, 15 injured, including three S. Koreans after van hits pedestrians in north Toronto - Duration: 1:59.

Now the latest on the van-ramming incident in Toronto.

The death toll now stands at at least 10... with 15 injured.

The South Korean government has now confirmed that two of the dead are South Korean nationals.

The suspect is in custody and authorities are trying to determine a motive.

Lee Ji-won has more.

The incident occurred at about 1:30 Monday afternoon, local time, in the North York area

at the intersection of Yonge(Young) Street and Finch Avenue.

The driver of the white rental van is said to have jumped the curb, striking a number

of pedestrians.

These witnesses described the chaos that unfolded in front of them.

"He just went on the sidewalk he just started hitting everybody man.

He hit every single person on the sidewalk, anybody in his way he hit, the bus stop, everything

shattered.

"....And there were four bodies on the ground.

Police and the ambulance hadn't arrived yet but people were trying to revive them, obviously

to no avail....But by the time the police and paramedics got there, they, they tried

again and didn't work and so they covered the bodies, put them in body bags and taken

them away...

"

Among the more than a dozen injured... are three South Korean nationals.

Seoul's foreign ministry says that as of Tuesday afternoon, Korea time, one is seriously injured

and the other two are still being monitored.

There has been much concern about the safety of South Korean nationals as the incident

occurred in Toronto's downtown where the city's Korea town is located.

The suspect fled the scene... but was arrested after a tense standoff with police several

blocks away.

He is now in custody and being investigated, but details of the probe are still scarce.

According to U.S. media, he has been identified as 25-year-old Alek Minassian, a college student,...

who, unlike previous reports, was not known to the authorities.

Police believe he acted deliberately and they are trying to determine his motive, but they

add that the incident doesn't currently appear to be related to terror.

The incident also occurred as foreign ministers of the G7 leading industrialized nations were

holding meetings in the city center.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tweeted from Ottawa expressing his condolensces to

those affected.

Lee Ji-won, Arirang News.

Speaking English is FUN! - Duration: 4:31.

Hi there! This is Cedric from MosaLingua. In today's video, I will talk about why

it is important to speak as soon as possible when learning English.

Ok, you might think it sounds a bit scary but with a

bit of preparation, it's quite the opposite.

We'll discover it's actually a good fun. Let me tell you why!

We at MosaLingua,

insist that you should start to speak as soon as possible when you learn a language.

Not only is this more efficient for your expression, it's also just great fun.

Whether you exchange in real life or with a correspondent over the Internet

this will definitely spice up your learning experience. When you're learning

English you often focus on understanding the language, mostly via reading or

listening. Oral expression is quite often left behind and this is something

you should change very quickly. I'm sure you would agree we stress enough the

importance of understanding English. The whole world communicates in English and

the internet mostly speaks in English; This really opens the door to world of

possibilities. I'm not even talking about the cultural offering that becomes

available to you which is huge and diverse. Yet why not also speak it?

Quite often people shy away from that and you can understand why. We've been all

traumatised by English oral practice in high school. How embarrassing was that?

Besides not everyone lives in an english-speaking context so why would we

want to speak English right from the beginning?

Yes frankly, it is just great! Why is that? There's so many reason I don't even know

where to start but I'll try...

Meeting new and interesting people. The whole world

speaks English, not only people from english-speaking countries. You will

definitely meet fascinating people from diverse backgrounds that will inspire

you. They will understand that you are only learning. They've been there too.

Even the natives will be amazed that you can speak some of the language.

Discover the world. Imagine yourself chatting with people from Chile, South

Africa, Indonesia or even Korea... you could travel to those places! Speaking with

natives is a fantastic chance to dive into the

daily life and discover places and cultures wouldn't dreams of reaching before.

Laughing and learning while making mistakes. Forget the embarrassment

of speaking English in public. Once you understand that making mistakes is the

best way to make progress in the language, you will laugh about each of

them. And trust me, something that is truly funny is also something that you won't forget.

Learn new expression. Reading and listening will only get you

so far. Having conversations with other speakers will take you to the next level.

Very quickly, they will introduce you to the funniest slang expressions and the

most interesting idioms. Not only will this boost your knowledge of English but

it's also a very entertaining way to learn a language.

Get motivation.

These great interactions with people will definitely inspire you to go further. You

will also start to improve your flow and your pronunciation, and this will start a

virtuous circle that will push you to go even further.

Build unshakable confidence.

After a while, speaking English will become second nature. Even if it's

not perfect you will be able to: have friends from every country, travel the

world, benefit from better professional prospects, welcome foreigners to your

place and maybe make some money with Airbnb, be an awesome person!

Well I really hope I've convinced you to get started because this is something that

has changed the life of everyone here at MosaLingua. And we really want you to

experience the same thing. If you're ready to go for it, we are definitely

here to help you and this will come sooner than you think!

Wow, that was me talking to you in a foreign language. As you probably guessed by my

accent I'm French, and you know what? I really had good fun speaking to you in

English too. And if you enjoyed this video, give it a like and more

importantly: subscribe to our channel for more language learning tips with MosaLingua.

Happy learning and see you soon!

Experience the nightlife in Boracay YAY :D [Battle Trip/2018.04.22] - Duration: 5:09.

Now we will take a break back at the hotel.

Then experience the nightlife in Boracay.

- Club. / - Her eyes are sparkling.

We actually don't enjoy ourselves much in clubs.

I'm a married woman

so I will just briefly drop by the place and leave.

I'm a little conservative.

So I just wanted to go there for a short time and leave.

You're saying this now but you won't change like this

when you're in there, right?

What is this?

She's very conservative.

What is this?

She's very conservative.

Her outfit looks very conservative.

- Her outfit looks so conservative. / - Her outfit...

She looks like a tropical fish in Boracay.

We're running out of time. We've got to hurry.

Let's go.

It's going to be fun this evening.

Oh, Ryan...

- Goodness. / - I'm a reflector.

- I look like a reflector. / - I thought you were a fish.

You and I are dressed up...

- But Ryan... / - He took a jacket.

He looks funnier.

- Are shorts allowed? / - Why did you wear that?

What's great about clubs in Boracay

is that you can wear whatever you like.

Everyone is wearing shorts and flip-flops here.

- It's very free. / - Yes.

Inside, they'll think you own the club.

- He's over-dressed. / - The club owner.

You need to wear a jacket.

- Boracay. / - This is so good.

It's been a while since we introduced a club.

(Club "G" is a new hot place for nightlife in Boracay)

It's a bit similar to old-fashioned night clubs in Korea.

- There are tables as well. / - Tables lined up.

- There are booths as well. / - You're right.

That's so us.

And you can dress in shorts and flip-flops.

That's fascinating.

- This place is newly opened. / - Really?

Not many know there's such a big club in Boracay.

It's so big.

- There's an entrance fee. / - That's the entrance fee.

- Let's order. / - Yes, let's order.

For me...

San Miguel.

This is a new club that's popular in Boracay.

It opened not too long ago.

Hey, it's "Run To You."

Let's step out.

Wait. Jihye, you said you'd leave after saying hi.

Oh, dear.

- You said you wouldn't stay. / - Here she comes.

- Here's the conservative girl. / - Conservative.

The Boracay tropical fish is here.

Oh, dear.

It's a function.

You're too conservative.

(Filipino style)

(He repeats the same dance moves)

(Boom takes over the stage)

(Shake it, Boom)

He's going off.

What will we do about him?

Oh, dear.

They'll think that every Korean is like him.

We've never seen anything like this on Battle Trip.

I became friends with the locals right away.

He still got it.

This is Boracay.

I can't believe we're sober.

- This is Boracay. / - We went when it was empty.

That's so funny.

I feel like all my stress is melting.

So funny.

- But Boom doesn't drink. / - I can't drink either.

Boom can't drink.

(I can't stay down here like this)

(The night in Boracay begins now)

I made him go up

to liven up the mood.

RaBoom.

Boom and Bang.

- RaBoom is good. / - Boom and Bang.

(People respond to Boom and Bang's music)

(The stage starts to fill up)

(Jihye also goes up on the stage)

(I'll take care of the night in Boracay)

Hello!

- She's so conservative. / - So polite.

- She's way too conservative. / - So polite.

What's with the greeting?

She did say that she'd say hello and leave.

Why did you say hello like this?

He looks so cool.

(Let's dance like crazy)

(They would've regretted it if they didn't come here)

Are they a new group?

We seem like KOYOTE.

KOYOTE.

- They won't be able to get up tomorrow. / - I know.

You did so well.

Manchester United player Eric Bailly injury update | News Now #mufc - Duration: 1:48.

Man Utd player Eric Bailly did not make the match day squad for the FA Cup win vs Spurs

amid concerns he picked up an injury.

Eric Bailly was walking freely through the mixed zone after United's FA Cup semi-final

win against Spurs after concerns he picked up an injury before the match.

The Ivorian was part of the 25-strong group which travelled to Bournemouth on Tuesday

and was left on the bench at the Vitality Stadium.

Jose Mourinho appeared to be resting Bailly ahead of United's trip to Wembley but to everyone's

surprise, both Chris Smalling and Phil Jones lined up in the heart of defence and Victor

Lindelof made the bench.

It was presumed that Bailly must have picked up an injury while training in Fulham, but

he did not look in any obvious discomfort as he made his way through the mixed zone

past reporters after United's 2-1 victory against Spurs.

Bailly suffered an ankle injury on international duty back in November - ruling him out for

three months - and he has since made five appearances for United.

Mourinho had been careful not to rush Bailly back too quickly and he was an unused substitute

in the games against Sevilla, Crystal Palace and Swansea.

The 24-year-old was even left out of the match day squad for Sunday's shock defeat to West

Brom.

Having only played 54 games since joining the club in June, 2016, United fans were concerned

that Bailly may have picked up another injury but he was keen to calm

their fears last week.

Bobette Buster Edit - Duration: 2:01.

it and as I interviewed all my elders one thing came about is that with Ralph

Waldo Waldo Emerson says that within a few minutes people tell you who they are

and what has been important to them and I would watch people come alive they

would become young before my eyes or a veil would cross their face and they

would be thinking back to the inconsolable griefs of their childhood

their adult years the road not taken' well I also had a great passion for

movies this led me to Hollywood where I work in development no development is

the hundred it's a billion dollars a year conservatively it is the search for

the big idea that can become a franchise and as you all now Hollywood dominates

the world with its franchises it's a business strategy called synergy which

is meant maximizing a story across all of its platforms here we see woody and

Toy Story 2 who even if he was just a toy in Andy's room and he discovers in a

parallel universe that he's an actual star and this perfectly illustrates what

Hollywood is looking for is that Big Idea character they can maximize across

all platforms but what we're looking for as the audience is something very

different we're looking for the fact that we want to cherish a character's

journey identify with them and take them into our lives so what I discovered

is I went on to become a professor of cinematic storytelling at the University

of Southern California and I teach a course and how you take any idea and

take it into a feature film and/or TV series or new media and I was being able

to start to discern that there was a pattern to what made a great story well

told now I'm gonna give you a few of these principles first one being take us

to a world we've never been to before
