we've established the Hall of Fame

and welcomed its first members

Lukáš, was that a glorious evening?

It was quite glorious

because three people were entered into the Hall of Fame

the legendary programmers known as the 'Golden Triangle'

so it has almost moved me to tears

I almost believe you

This year, a new member will be introduced into the Hall

that winter is coming and today's facts support it.

but here, it was different

it didn't feel like the regime

might be toppling soon

but then everything unfolded so quickly

that we didn't have time to reflect on it

we were organizing a protest

and suddenly the protest is happening

I'm right in the middle of my speech

staying focused on speaking properly

not too fast, not too slow

so everybody can hear me

BUT EVEN MORE PEOPLE WHO ARE HONOURABLE

NOT EXPERTS WITH DEGREES

AND TWISTED CONSCIENCE

I thought that the thing I was actually doing

was trying to achieve

a simple return to normalcy

to remove any barriers

and when they were gone

staying involved with politics didn't make any sense to me

we've achieved what we meant to

now we're free to show our capabilities.

The magazine '100+1'

which was this collection of foreign tidbits

published an article titled 'Death awaits in Dungeons & Dragons'

That article intrigued me

and through my parents, I've managed

to get myself a copy of Dungeons & Dragons

the basic set and everything...

I've enjoyed it tremendously

and my friends shared my enthusiasm

so even before 1989, we started translating it

and after the revolution...

suddenly we could do it legally.

I tried to get in touch with TSR

but they didn't return my calls

nor didn't respond to fax or e-mails...

while our knowledge has broadened

and we realized, that Dungeons & Dragons

isn't the only role-playing game out there

isn't even the best one...

isn't even THAT good...

being pretty simple and all

so we decided to write our own game.

Along with Karel Papík, Martin Benda

and with my future wife Vilma Kadlečková

we wrote the rules for 'Dračí Doupě' (Dragon Lair)

and I became fully involved in games

forming the company that eventually became Altar Publishing

the board game publisher.

Our constant hurdle was the fact

that nobody here was able to put together

a nice enough box, print decently looking cards

but when it came to computer games, we knew it's all up to us

how we draw it, how we program it... that's what the gamer gets

it also seemed much easier

and much simpler to target

the foreign market

with a computer game

instead of a board game

and Altar became Altar Interactive.

(voiceover) The first time I heard about this mission

I thought they were joking

Working at Altar Interactive in Brno was very valuable

I've learned a lot

althought it needs to be pointed out

that in most cases, I was just the producer

which means that I don't want to claim credit

for what makes the particular game a good one

If there's anything I'm responsible for

it's simply the fact that the game got made

in a certain time frame and within a certain budget

The great boon of my work is that when I play at home

it's not a waste of time

In my age and position

it's kinda inappropriate

but...

because I can tell everybody that I need to play those other games

to keep myself informed about current trends

it makes for a convenient...

...alibi.

We're basically an indie studio

with no overblown corporate structure

even our managerial structure is pretty straightforward

and we're working in our own way

making the games we want to play

enjoying a degree of creative freedom

unavailable in a large company.

And it's the freedom

to do things how we want them to be done

that's so enormously important to everyone

especially me, for sure.

Freedom must be fought for

and one cannot live without it!

Ladies and gentlemen, Hall of Fame and its new entrant

without whom not only the world of games

but the whole Czech society would be poorer

And to introduce our new Hall of Famer

I'd like to welcome Pavel Barák, director of the association 'České hry'.

who the new entrant is, but to make it official...

Good evening...

I'll make it shorter than I did in the video...

When Martin Bach notified me

of this honor

I first thought that the jury

was, above all, trying to

award someone who's still alive...

so they don't have to feel sad about it

But that doesn't change

the fact that I'm very appreciative

of this honor and it's a significant --

personally, a significant milestone

And what makes it

even more significant for me

is the fact that it's awarded by my peers

by professionals, who know the intricacies of game development

and who aren't easily misled

unlike the general public.

This award... the fact that I've been

introduced into the Hall of Fame

was an opportunity for reflection

for looking back at my trajectory as a developer

and I've realized

that I was very lucky

and also very privileged

to work with and continue working

with some of the best

and the most skillful

game developers in Czech Republic

and maybe in the world.

I wouldn't be standing here without them

so first and foremost I'd like to extend thanks

to all my former and current colleagues.

Trump pardons conservative pundit Dinesh D'Souza, suggests others also could receive clemency

President Trump granted a full pardon Thursday to conservative commentator Dinesh D'Souza and said he was strongly considering clemency for other celebrity felons, signaling his willingness to exercise his unilateral power to reward friends and allies while undercutting the work of his nemeses in law enforcement.

Trump said he was weighing commuting the prison sentence of former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich (D) as well as granting a pardon to Martha Stewart, the television personality and lifestyle mogul, arguing that they and D'Souza had been unfairly treated by the justice system.

With Thursday's announcements, Trump also delivered an indirect but unmistakable message to personal attorney Michael Cohen, former national security adviser Michael Flynn and others ensnared in Trump-related investigations that they, too, could be spared punishment in the future.

D'Souza, Blagojevich and Stewart had been convicted of such crimes as campaign-finance violations or lying to investigators — charges similar to those brought against Flynn, former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and other Trump associates indicted in special counsel Robert S.

Mueller III's Russia investigation.

Cohen, meanwhile, is under investigation by federal prosecutors in New York for possible campaign-finance violations and other possible crimes.

Another pattern in Trump's granted or potential pardons is their connection to the president's perceived enemies.

Former FBI director James B.

Comey, whom Trump fired last year, prosecuted Stewart in her insider-trading case, while Comey's close friend, former U.S.

attorney Patrick J.

Fitzgerald, prosecuted Blagojevich.

Former U.S.

attorney Preet Bharara — who, like Comey, was fired by Trump and has since been an outspoken critic — prosecuted D'Souza.

Roger Stone, a longtime Trump associate and his former political strategist, who has come under scrutiny by Mueller's team, said the president sent a clear message.

  "It has to be a signal to Mike Flynn and Paul Manafort and even Robert S.

Mueller III: Indict people for crimes that don't pertain to Russian collusion and this is what could happen," Stone said.

"The special counsel has awesome powers, as you know, but the president has even more awesome powers." Trump's pardon of D'Souza was his sixth act of clemency as president.

Each was issued unilaterally, subverting the traditional Justice Department process of reviewing thousands of pardon requests.

D'Souza is an author, filmmaker and provocateur who became a cult figure on the right in part because of his conspiratorial polemics about Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

He pleaded guilty in 2014 to illegally using straw donors to contribute to a New York Republican candidate for U.S.

Senate, telling a judge that he knows what he did was "wrong" and "I deeply regret my conduct." Prosecutors said D'Souza had other individuals donate money to Republican Wendy Long, a Republican who was challenging Sen.

Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) in 2012, under the agreement that he would reimburse them for the donations.

D'Souza was sentenced to five years of probation, including eight months living under supervision in a "community confinement center" in San Diego, and a $30,000 fine.

  Trump, who announced his plans for the pardon Thursday morning on Twitter, later told reporters traveling with him on Air Force One that he had long felt D'Souza's sentence was too harsh.

"I've always felt he was very unfairly treated," Trump said.

"And a lot of people did, a lot of people did.

What should have been a quick, minor fine, like everybody else with the election stuff.

. . .

What they did to him was horrible." D'Souza tweeted that he was grateful to Trump for his pardon and said of his prosecution, "Bharara & his goons bludgeoned me into the plea." Earlier this spring, Sen.

Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) brought up D'Souza's situation to Trump and personally lobbied him to consider a pardon, according to White House officials.

The senator, who accompanied Trump to a political fundraiser Thursday in Houston, cheered the decision.

"Bravo!" Cruz wrote in a tweet in which he claimed that D'Souza "was the subject of a political prosecution." D'Souza, he added, is "a powerful voice for freedom, systematically dismantling the lies of the Left — which is why they hate him.

This is Justice." Trump, however, told reporters that "nobody asked me to do it" and claimed that he had never met D'Souza, although he said he has seen him on television.

"I called him last night, first time I've ever spoken to him," Trump said.

"I said, 'I'm pardoning you.' " He added that D'Souza "almost had a heart attack" during their three-minute phone call.

But Sam Nunberg, Trump's former political aide, recalled that D'Souza visited Trump at Trump Tower in New York in 2012, shortly before releasing his film, "2016: Obama's America," which was based on his earlier book, "The Roots of Obama's Rage." Nunberg said that Trump agreed to help D'Souza promote the film.

Trump sent three tweets about D'Souza's movie that August, including one calling it an "amazing film." A White House spokesman said he could not immediately square the conflicting accounts of whether Trump had previously met D'Souza.

Trump's clemency for D'Souza was sharply criticized by New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood (D), who said it "makes crystal clear his willingness to use his pardon power to thwart the cause of justice, rather than advance it." Trump also signaled Thursday that he is considering commuting the remainder of the sentence of Blagojevich, who was convicted in 2010 on charges relating to the attempted sale of Obama's former U.S.

Senate seat.

"What he did does not justify 18 years in a jail," Trump told reporters traveling on Air Force One.

"If you read his statement, it was a foolish statement, there was a lot of bravado.

But . . .

plenty of other politicians have said a lot worse.

And . . .

he shouldn't have been put in jail." Trump overstated the duration of Blagojevich's prison sentence, which is 14 years.

Trump also cited the case of Stewart, who was convicted in 2004 of obstructing justice and lying to investigators about a well-timed stock sale.

"I think to a certain extent Martha Stewart was harshly and unfairly treated," Trump said.

"And she used to be my biggest fan in the world . . .

Sori here. I'm currently at

a recording studio that I've been frequenting since CocoSori days,

and we recorded lots of anime soundtracks here too.

So I'm back here at this recording studio.

It's because, I'm gonna step inside first,

So, On my YouTube channel, I'm planning on uploading

a dance cover of a song

by Britney Spears called "TOXIC."

I'm going to shoot a dance cover of that song.

But this time around, I'm going to sing on top of the background track as well.

Combining both vocal and dance cover.

So I recorded in studio not so long ago,

But I don't think I sang upbeat enough

So I'm trying to get a more powerful take!

More fitting to the dance song, more upbeat!

That's what I'm gonna do today.

So, that's why I'm at the recording studio today.

Is my throat warmed up enough?

I think it still needs to be warmed up a little more.

Britney Spears, who was a sexy icon of that era,

To capture her sexiness and power

is a difficult task.

The recording has started!

Why Don't We Just Make Water Chemically in a Lab?

This is a well known fact that water is scarce.

Not any water, but the water which we can drink .

Although earth is majorly covered by water (water covers 71% of the surface of Earth), but out

of that water 97% of water is held by oceans which is saline i.e undrinkable.

The remaining 3% is also not so readily available.

Indeed, water is scarce.

So why can't we just make water chemically in laboratories?

We know the formula, right?

We know that it is formed by the combination of hydrogen and oxygen.

So why don't we do it already?

The problem with manufacturing water It is not as easy as it appears to be.

Combination of hydrogen and oxygen atoms is accompanied by release of tremendous amount of energy.

Hydrogen, being the simplest element in the world, consists of only 1 electron in its orbit.

Oxygen on the other hand, has 6 electrons in its outermost orbit, 2 short of a completely filled outermost shell.

There is an energy barrier which has to be overcome to bring these two elements together.

Also hydrogen is a highly flammable gas and oxygen supports combustion, so what happens when they come together, that too in large quantities?

Take a guess.

This chemical reaction, when occurs, produces a large amount of energy, which may amount to a full scale, deadly explosion.

This is exactly what happened in the Hindenburg Disaster in 1937.

Hindenburg Disaster .

The Hindenburg disaster took place as the German passenger airship LZ 129 Hindenburg caught fire and was

destroyed during its attempt to dock with its mooring mast.

It was found out that the fire was started by an electric spark which was caused by a buildup of static electricity on the airship.

As there was abundant oxygen in the air outside the airship,

it reacted rapidly with the hydrogen in the airship and a lethal explosion rocked the airship.

But yes, as a result of the chemical reaction, water was created.

Any solution?

In order to manufacture water to cater to the needs of such a large population on the planet,

the laboratories and the facilities required to contain such great and spontaneous emission of energy

would be too expensive to be practically and economically viable.

But yes, there is an alternative.

One way to 'make' water would be to extract the water that is already present in the air as water-vapor.

Using sheets of cooled metal, the air temperature can be rapidly dropped, allowing the water vapour to condense.

Whisson Windmill .

The Whisson Windmill does just that.

And it produces around 12,000 litres (2,600 gallons) of water in a day at a very low cost and almost no impact on the environment.

On a much smaller scale, something which is used in disaster-struck areas as a portable water-maker,

a generator can be used that can draw air through a cooled chamber, producing 545 litres in one day.

It is pretty much evident that water is not that easy to make.

So our best bet is to conserve the water that we already have access to.
