In Major League Baseball, South Korean pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin was effective both on the mound
and at the plate,... helping the LA Dodgers rally to beat the San Diego Padres 7-to-3.
It was the bottom of the fifth inning and Ryu was at bat with two outs.
He got his second single of the game and the Dodgers took it from there.
Pitching, meanwhile, Ryu did give up 11 hits in five innings -- but he limited the damage
to two runs and he struck out eight Padres.
Ryu has made two starts since returning from a groin injury.
