Youtube daily report Apr 16 2018

This week on TGC News, Recalls from Keltec and Smith and Wesson, CMMG rolls out the Banshee

and DefCan, more rapid fire news!

Welcome back to another episode of TGC News, my name is Jon Patton. Guys, before we get

cracking, I have something special to announce. The 3rd annual TGC Panel at NRA Annual Meetings.

Things are a little bit different this year BUT we have a bunch of your favorite guntuber's

already confirmed: Military Arms Channel, IV8888, 22 Plinkster, MrGunsnGear, Gun Drama

Johnny, We Like Shooting, and all the way from Slovenia, the crew from Polenar Tactical

is going to be there and It's going to be an awesome time. Last year we gave away over

$50,000 worth of prizes and will be doing a ton of giveaways this year as well. There

is a link in the description with the details, no tickets needed! I will see you there.

Now, the news, we have tons to cover this week and let's kick it off with a few safety issues!

First up, Keltec just announced a safety recall on the Sub2000 manufactured

in 2017. Apparently there was an issue with heat treating on some of the barrels and they

could, in Keltecs' words, rupture. There is a link down in the description to see if your

gun is affected. And not to be left out, Smith and Wesson put

out a safety notice for the Shield 380 EZ. I want to read this one verbatim because of

how ridiculous it is. "Like any firearm, the function of the M&P®380 Shield™ EZ™ Manual

Thumb Safety pistol can be influenced by the type and quality of ammunition used with the

pistol. In the case of the M&P 380 Shield EZ Manual Thumb Safety, we have found that

in very rare circumstances, ammunition that produces a high level of felt recoil can cause

the manual safety to move from the fire to the "safety on" position during firing." HAHAHa

so wait, if you shoot hot ammo, the recoil can activate the safety? Seriously smith and

wesson? You're better than that. If you have one of these guns and want to find out if

your gun is affected, and get it taken care of, Smith is doing a no cost upgrade for you.

Link, of course, in the description as always.

And in fun in small packages news,

CMMG is back in the news this week with one of the

biggest roll outs I've seen so far this year. They've announced a new product line with

8 new guns in 4 different calibers AND a full line of new suppressors to go with it. There

are reviews popping up all over the gunternet on these things so I'm going to blast through

this as quickly as I can. The gun line is called Banshee and it comes in 22lr, 9mm,

45 and 300 blackout. The entire line can be had as either a pistol with a tailhook brace

OR with CMMG's new Ripstock. The 22's come with 4.5 inch barrels, the 9's and 45's with

5 inch barrels and the 300 blackout comes with an 8 inch barrel. Also important to note

is that the 9 and 45s utilize the same radial delayed blowback from the Guard line of guns.

Prices on the full guns range from 1150 to 1500 bucks depending on the model. The new

suppressor line up, which is a new thing entirely for CMMG, is is called DefCan and comes in

5 variations. The 22 rimfire version, the 9, the 45, a 556 version and of course a 30

caliber version. The intent with these is to compliment CMMG's line of rifles with their

own suppressors. The prices on the silencers range from 325 for the rimfire can, up to

900 bucks for the 30 caliber QD can. Honestly, it's pretty cool to see this sort of thing

happening. Rifle companies expanding and suppressors continuing to become an integral part of the

product line for everyone. Now if we could only get suppressors deregulated, the world

might be a better place. Anyway, what do you guys think of this new stuff from CMMG? I

want to hear your thoughts down in the comments below.

Our Guntuber of the Week is a man that brings it from all angles, he's got a special forces

background and a fantastic ability to communicate good information, and on top of that, he covers

topics from how to shoot an AR15 all the way to what books you should read to feed your

patriotic needs. If you looked up squared away in the dictionary, you'll find a picture

of… John Lovell.

I know it's shocking but we actually have never featured John as Guntuber of the week and

I figured it was about time. If you aren't already, you need to go get subscribed and

tell him TGC sent you. Links down in the description as always.

Now how about a little rapid fire news for you guys? Savage announced yet another expansion

to the 110 line up with a new big bore rifle. They're now chambering it in 450 bushmaster

and calling it the wolverine. It comes with an 18 inch heavy barrel and a properly sized

muzzle brake. That will be a fun rifle for sure coming in at 899 msrp.

Next up, Real Avid, who we mentioned a few weeks ago with a bunch of interesting new

products, has continued that trend with the new Range Station. The idea here is that you

can keep everything you need for the gun range in a convenient package that includes a rollout

pistol mat, space for ammo and mags as well as some tools and other trinkets. I think

products like this are smart to help keep shooters organized and when the cost is 30

bucks like this, its decent value. And last but not least, Taurus USA announced

that they are building a 22.5 million dollar facility is a small town in southwest Georgia

called Bainbridge. They claim it will bring about 300 new jobs to the area and hopefully

at least one of those people works in quality control. Just teasing. I think it's a good

thing to see a company that I regularly pick on actually doing well enough to open up a

facility like this. It COULD have a serious effect on the growth of the brand far into

the future and that's a good thing regardless of my current opinion of their products.

That is it for this week's show. Guys if you disliked this video, hit that button, if you

liked it, hit like, get subscribed and consider supporting us via the links in the video description

below. We have a new amazon affiliate store as well as a link to purchase cool shirts

just like this one and of course links to find us all over your favorite social media

platforms! And as always, thank you all for watching, we'll see you soon.

Plato and Aristotle: Crash Course History of Science #3 - Duration: 12:10.

Pop quiz: are you a Platonist or an Aristotelian?

An idealist or an empiricist?

Do you think up neat rules to describe the universe and then try to fit data into your theory?

Or do you observe the world and draw conclusions from what you see?

Do you trust math, or your senses?

Before you decide, let's take a trip to urban Athens circa 399 BCE…

[Intro Music]

Last week, we met the Presocratics: despite

having by any reasonable standard invented science in Europe, these thinkers are lumped

together today as simply "not Socrates."

So who was this smarty pants?

Socrates didn't have a single, clearly formulated natural philosophy.

He didn't even study nature!

He studied politics and morality and prided himself on not claiming to know things.

But Socrates did two important things: he asked a lot of questions, which influenced

how philosophers went about teaching their ideas.

And he inspired the two rockstars of classical Greek philosophy.

Socrates held that knowledge comes from asking questions.

So many questions!

His name is attached to the Socratic method—in which you constantly ask questions so that

students can steadily break down a big problem into smaller parts, parts they can test hypotheses against.

It's okay if they realize that a hypothesis is wrong: in fact, it's good!

It means they're moving away from falsehood.

The Socratic method is an example of negative hypothesis elimination, or proving that something

is wrong to narrow down the possibilities of what might be right.

But Socrates's biggest legacy might be his student, Plato, and his student's student,

Aristotle.

Both were inspired by Socrates's methods, but they arrived at some very different conclusions

about the world.

We know a lot about Socrates thanks to his

students.

Chiefly Plato founded a physical school called the Academy to train Athenians in how to think

like Socrates.

Plato wrote down dialogues between Socrates and other thinkers including Parmenides: he

was the Eleatic philosopher who believed that nothing really changes, and thus we can't

trust our senses.

This had a big impact on Plato.

Whose best known works include Republic, in which Socrates defines justice and argues

for rule by philosopher-king instead of democracy, and Timaeus, in which Socrates talks

about the nature of the universe.

Plato had a big impact on thinking about thinking.

Today, we still use Plato's name for a place of philosophical learning, "Academy,"

to describe the concept of higher education in general.

At the original Academy, Plato emphasized training in how to think properly.

Over the door of the Academy was inscribed the dictum, "Let no one enter here who is

ignorant of geometry."

Plato based his own philosophy on geometrical laws.

He taught a Pythagoras-inspired idealism, or a theory of nature based on perfect abstractions—rules,

of which real-world stuff could only ever be imperfect examples.

So Plato had to fit his observations to his theory.

That idealism is one of the reasons people think of Plato as more of a philosopher than

a scientist.

Plato built on the work of the Presocratic schools.

But he developed a more complete way of looking at the natural world than they did.

And his students took off in search of solutions, even as they changed his underlying theory.

The only Greek who wrote more philosophy than Plato was Plato's own star student and rival,

Aristotle.

Compared to Plato's idealistic abstractions,

Aristotle's philosophy makes more common sense.

His ideas are based on empirical evidence: he observed the world and then came up with

a theory that explained it.

This order of operations is at the heart of modern scientific practices.

Aristotle was from Macedonia, in the north of Greece.

But he studied at Plato's Academy in Athens for twenty years, until Plato died.

Afterward, Aristotle took a lucrative gig: King Philip II of Macedonia hired him as tutor

to his son, Alexander.

And, you know this particular Alexander: he decided to conquer the entire earth.

Before age thirty, he ruthlessly conquered much of Asia, Africa, and Europe, ruling over

more area than anybody until Genghis Khan.

Aristotle's influence on Alexander "the Great" reminds us that science is

always social.

From the very beginning, scientists have served bad, heartless dudes.

Aristotle, a man who literally wrote the book Ethics, pushed his most famous pupil to invade

Persia, kill "barbarians," and become a brutal warlord.

After Alexander died young, Aristotle went back to Athens to start his own school, the

Lyceum.

The Lyceum was pretty different from Plato's Academy.

Because Aristotle liked plants and liked to walk and talk, his school wasn't in a building,

but a grove of trees outside the city.

And his school was called the Peripatetic, meaning "walkie" and thus informal—not

like the Academy.

It was during the Lyceum years that Aristotle probably wrote many of his most famous works,

including Metaphysics, On the Heavens, On the Soul—which is actually an amazing book

of proto-biology-meets-psychology—and his school's highly influential set of textbooks

on natural philosophy, called Physics.

How did Aristotle answer our big questions

about physics, such as "what was stuff?"

And "where are we?"

He posited a complete system, joining the elements and the heavens.

This became the basis for European thought about the physical world for two thousand years!

Let's compare Aristotle's system to his mentor Plato's in this week's ThoughtBubble.

For Plato, the cosmos was perfect.

It had perfect rules that could be studied.

And all cosmic stuff was made up of atoms that were perfect geometric "platonic solids",

each creating one element: tetrahedrons of fire, cubes of earth, octahedrons of air,

icosahedrons of water, and dodecahedrons as the shape of the whole universe…

Like a giant celestial set of D&D dice!

Plato's theory of the heavens stated that the wandering stars—that is, the planets—followed

a path of uniform circular motion.

You see,

the wandering stars must move in perfect circles, since the cosmos is orderly.

Ah, but this one is moving backwards!

Plato's students could see that Mars, for one, seemed to jump backwards, showing retrograde

motion.

Plato didn't really have an explanation.

European astronomers would spend the next two thousand years meticulously trying to

solve this problem.

They'd end up learning a lot in the process.

How did Aristotle build on Plato's system? Aristotle's cosmology was abstract, too,

but attempted to make sense of observations about the world.

He crossed those same four elements, plus a new anti-void one called æther, with four

physical sensations: hot and cold, dry and wet, and used these to explain everything:

Earth was the heaviest element, so it was the center of the cosmos.

Water was lighter than earth so the oceans rested on top of the earth.

So far so good.

Air's natural state is above water.

That also checks out!

Fire sat on top of air, which is a little weird… but it does go up, I guess?

And way out beyond these four terrestrial spheres—out past the Moon—spun the stars,

acting according to their nature as ætherial, or perfect-circle-moving, objects.

And nowhere, anywhere in this theory, was a void.

Nature abhors a vacuum!

In Aristotle's cosmos, all of the elements were actively trying to get back to their

natural states.

Why did flames rise?

They were just trying to get back to the fiery celestial realm above the air.

Thanks Thought Bubble.

From the Presocratics to Plato to Aristotle, we've ended up with a bunch of spheres inside

of spheres, each with a natural tendency.

This confirmed the average Bronze Age farmer's experience… and ours.

The earth seems to stand still.

Water sits on earth.

Air isn't very heavy.

Aristotle recognized that elements didn't always exist in their pure forms.

A tree, for example, was a combination of earth, water, and air: roots go down into

the earth, and branches up into the air.

His theory also worked for comparisons.

Why does a book fall faster than a piece of paper?

Because it has more earth in it.

Aristotle could even explain natural phenomenon.

Why does rain fall from the sky to the ground?

Why do volcanoes shoot fire up?

Obviously this isn't how I think gravity works, but it's a way of explaining it that

made sense to the Ancient Greeks.

Where Plato saw a world of ideal shapes, Aristotle had a theory that acknowledged that we're

all kind of a hot mess.

Things are naturally jumbled up, but always trying to get back to their essential place.

[Living things] Aristotle also loved looking at living things.

And he looked closely.

He noticed, for example, that the octopus can change color—which is awesome—and

that male octopi have a special arm called a "hectocotylus"—which is… something

you should Google.

Because it's weird and gross but also kind of awesome.

And it wasn't confirmed by scientists until the 1800s!

Aristotle thus trusted that knowledge proceeded from the experience of the senses.

In works such as History of Animals, among others, he wrote down observations like these

about all kinds of organisms.

He also tried to classify the world in an orderly system, giving rise to taxonomy.

When he attempted to answer the question "what is life," the taxonomy he created relied

on a system of souls.

Plants have a vegetative soul, responsible for reproduction and growth.

Animals have a vegetative and a sensitive or animal soul, responsible for mobility and

sensation.

And humans—and only humans—have a vegetative, a sensitive, and a rational soul, capable

of thought and reflection.

This led Aristotle to further theorize that all things can be placed on a line from simplest-slash-least-soulful

to highest-slash-most-soulful.

On one end, he placed plants, then worms, and so on.

These low animals bore their offspring cold, dry, and in thick eggs.

The higher animals made warm and wet babies.

So of course, at the other end of the line, Aristotle placed men.

Meaning not "humans," but dudes: according to him, cold maternal blood produced inferior

humans, AKA girls, while hot paternal semen produced boys.

Aristotle was… maybe not someone we'd want to elect as our philosopher-king today?

But Aristotle's system of classification again seemed to confirm his classical and

medieval readers' daily experiences.

His proto-biological ideas stuck around in various forms until Darwin, getting lumped

under the heading of the Great Chain of Being—that all creatures on earth stand somewhere on

a ladder of perfection up toward God.

You may have already guessed that this concept has been particularly troublesome when it

comes to scientific racism.

But that's a story for later.

The creepier effects of some his ideas aside,

Aristotle had an answer for everything.

For the most part, these were based in observation and conformed to common sense.

His answers were able to explain how the world worked…

most of the time.

And not only did Aristotle come up with a complete theory of everything, he wrote it

down.

He was a prolific author, and a significant percentage of his texts have survived thanks

to our Arabian scholars.

Then again, Plato's transcendental ideas about the cosmos—even if wrong in their

particulars—inspired centuries of scholars to think about the universe as having underlying

laws, ones that hold regardless of what our senses can show us.

So are you a Platonist or an Aristotelian?

Or, taking a page from Socrates, is that a trick question!?

Next time—we'll follow Alexander the Maybe-Not-So-Great to India to witness the rise of the Maurya

dynasty, set the earth spinning on its axis, and found a science of life!

Owner survey suggests Tesla's batteries see only limited degradation - Duration: 3:51.

Finally, some good news for Tesla.

After facing difficulties keeping up with demand for the Model 3, a recall of 123,000

units of the Model S, and a self-driving tragedy, Elon Musk's company needed something of

a boost.

It may have just gotten it in the form of new data from a group of Tesla owners on the

Dutch-Belgium Tesla Forum.

These folks have found that Tesla's batteries display less than 10 percent degradation of

their energy capacity after 160,000 miles.

That means, by extension, that their cars could also last longer than previously believed.

Battery degradation is obviously a major cause for concern among electric car owners.

After all, if your battery pack holds less and less energy as it ages, you're able

to travel fewer and fewer miles between charges.

But the Dutch-Belgium Tesla Forum has been doing some data gathering on its own, surveying

some 350 Tesla vehicles from around the world, and determining how well their batteries last.

As per the group's data, for the first 50,000 miles driven by a Tesla, most battery packs

lose around 5 percent of their capacity.

However, after that initial 50,000 miles, battery degradation actually takes place at

a slower rate.

In fact, as Electrek notes, "after the 50,000-mile mark, the capacity levels off and it looks

like it could be difficult to make a pack degrade by another 5 percent."

For vehicles already surveyed, it would appear that the average battery pack is able to withstand

around 186,000 miles before beginning to reach the 90-percent capacity mark.

Of course, as with any set of test data, there are a number of outliers both on the positive

and negative end, but the group is hoping to identify what might be causing these deviations.

For example, faster degradation may be attributed to frequency of DC fast-charging and daily

state of charge, although for the time being, it's unclear that those aspects necessarily

affect the batteries.

If you are, however, looking to extend the lifetime of your battery, you may consider

the advice of Jeff Dahn, a battery researcher and the leader of Tesla's research partnership

with Dalhousie University.

He told Electrek that he would recommend only charging a Tesla to 70 percent on a daily

basis in order to extend battery life.

For folks who purchased a Model 3, Tesla is offering a 70-percent battery capacity retention

guarantee.

But folks with the Model S and Model X have no such offer.

"The battery, like all lithium-ion batteries, will experience gradual energy or power loss

with time and use.

Loss of Battery energy or power over time or due to or resulting from Battery usage,

is NOT covered under this Battery Limited Warranty," Tesla notes.

"See your owner documentation for important information on how to maximize the life and

capacity of

the battery."

FREEZING IN A VAN W/NO HEATER | van life in winter - Duration: 10:57.

so two weeks ago we were on the beaches in Mexico yeah baby

it was very warm is very sunny suddenly we find ourselves in a very very cold

place Toronto Canada yeah some reason for some reason the

only time we like to come up to Toronto Canada is during like the winter

waistline seasons about nine months of the year it seems up here as you guys

might know we're about to reinvent our van a little bit we're gonna get crafty

and we're gonna do some new stuff to it one of those things and it is for

moments like these that we are doing this and we are installing a d2 Espar

heater talk about that more but basically we've been roughing it for a

year we've been through some pretty cold weather it's pretty much spent October

to January in the northernmost states of this United States and/or Canada without

a heater so now that we find ourselves back here it feels a little familiar we

wanted to go bring you guys along what's the most - what a looks interesting uh

we wanted to bring you guys along so you're gonna have a little peek inside

what a very very cold night looks like in a van without heater right and this

is our whole life right now hopefully in a couple weeks so almost for the sake of

nostalgia we're gonna enjoy roughing it a couple more times or a couple of dozen

more times so I'll show you what some let's get warm and cozy shall we babe

first things first for the sake of privacy and for warmth we got to do

something about these guides you know because we're pretty well and slated in

this van oh I just realized part of the reason why it isn't is cold in this van

as it was lost time appearance because the tent we got some gangster tent it is

like really high quality tent so it prevents a lot of the cold from getting

in it keeps the heat in very well so that's what we have on this right now

but then we add an extra layer of reflectix on it and just some fabric to

keep their fuck ticks and it also keeps all the little watchers and passers-by

from knowing that people living in that what we got we

haven't curtain on the outside come since our X plus six cut to size and

then some velcro to attach it on Dodgers off super nicely and from the outside

you can't even tell then any light is on it's pretty dope

it's already warming up in here bit so homeboy is gonna shed layer number one

aren't you now I'm pretty yeah Wow frisky already huh yeah I will make us a

cup of tea Kent and I know we've already had many cups of tea today we turn on

our stove like it totally heats up the van um but we have to crack this popper

because you know you don't let your friends here to get carbon monoxide

poisoning well they're not that really does he at

the band's so we're gonna make tea we're gonna heat the van we're gonna

so all credit to Aubrey on this one she's made a great point

boss I'm here in Toronto we excellent wind our pumps Inc because we left the

line freeze try to pump with the frozen line and cracked the inside of the

faucet so we're gonna drain the line real quick

hopefully cleanse do you think yeah probably enough you might have

drain the line of bit prematurely because no rush launch it and I have the

remaining splash of this water bottle that's the pricing dollar girlfriend to

you Oh one term you lose some you know

so teaching Christian the ways of brushing teeth step one do a large fresh

step to rush for two minutes here like that what I'm gonna need reward you rush

it for two minutes now you guys I've moved off into stopping a first go to

anywhere oh yeah okay I remember people brush two minutes one morning and the

night oh yeah Saturday so as you can see we're ready for bed

gonna get cozy first I get these little guys some fuzzies and these need to come

off whoa that's right baby getting sexy with the best of them and

on with PJ pants is there my fuzzy sock I

think I'm gonna double up on fuzzies right now are you yeah I'm not really

fuzzy for me they're just like super warm I've got my little cheap American

Eagle but then I got my car heart and nice outside

oh it's so nice

done all right hand me that coat babe of course you do yeah we're about to get

under our cover until you're not when your other covers the tea is ready and

both these cups are so hot oh my gosh this is incredible I mean it's both

hibiscus is that some guy fucking drink from both at once I would under the

covers let me show you what I cover situation our cover situation might be

the most key part of keeping warm exactly we call this our triple threat

triple threat we got three different layers and they're all very key layer

one this is the bottom layer it's fuzzy blanket keeps you super warm especially

on the underside and just completely engulfs you anymore it's absolutely

unbelievable second layer is this quilt that my mom got us for Christmas wedding

wedding and it just is like a nice second layer nice so it's like a thermal

right so this bad boy provides the fuzzies in warmth this bad boy house

like the trap like the second layer exactly trout third layer is this

comforter and this just kind of seals everything up seals the deal it's so

thick to it just like keeps out yeah that's like the outer wall of protection

the specialized thermal layer been amazing to touch amazing to feel warming

boss I'm not even joking when I say we've been through literally I think

we've gotten as cold as like 12 degrees Fahrenheit but which for those who are

non Fahrenheit users that's like way below freezing my god way way way so

this light keeps us super warm super insulated

and a lot of times we just like would sleep when it was really cold we will do

this tonight but when it's really cold we'd sleep everything over that's true I

will say the only downside to having a really warm situation when you're

sleeping is when you wake up huh it is so hard to get up I think it

probably took us like some mornings it took us three hours well that's all not

um I got more good news you're amazingly hot amazingly delicious tea what

happened there Oh what the heck happened how's the flavor for these snugs ready

for these warm thermal snugs tell your friends here stay warm

without a heater you might call us crazy we're often in or low maintenance or

Legion | Season 2: World Premiere | FX - Duration: 5:03.

Welcome to the world premiere of Legion.

David, can you hear me?

We have you now, you're safe.

Welcome to Division III.

Based on the Marvel comic, this series

follows a man who believed himself to be schizophrenic,

only to discover that he may actually be the most powerful

mutant the world has ever seen.

All right, David.

Let's take this for a spin.

Remember.

Keep an open mind.

Carrie.

We asked about this unique series,

and making the new season stranger

and wilder than the last.

It's a really wild trip.

And if you'll come with us, we'll

we'll take you for a fun ride.

And the second season starts in much confusion.

A lot of time has passed, but not very

much time has passed for David.

We thought you were dead.

When?

About a year.

For about--

362 days, if you're being precise.

It's like dark, moody, and a lot

about you know trusting people, and what happens when the world

goes insane around you.

You promise.

No secrets.

No secrets.

Well, this season is a race.

But because it's Legion not everyone is

running in the same direction.

Let's just say, it's about the journey, not the destination.

This season makes last season look like See Spot Run.

So buckle your seat belts is about what I said.

This show is just a total kind of mind--

I'm trying not to curse right now.

There's nothing that is typical about this show at all.

That's the funny thing, is you think like the second year,

we know more, and I feel like there's just more to not know.

If you're a fan of the show, that's what you sign in for,

right?

It's the experience of watching it.

The fact that you don't know from moment to moment

what's going to happen next.

I've been someplace else, and now I'm here.

We're going to find him.

The Shadow King, put a stop to all this.

Welcome back to the world premiere of the FX

original series, Legion.

What's the last thing you remember?

Dancing?

Can you tell us a little bit about the original and yet

always surprising dance sequences.

I mean I love that this show has

room for a musical interludes, dance numbers.

I really enjoy dance.

Dance has become quite a big part of what I do now.

And I think you know it's a big part of Legion,

you know the physicality, the music.

Singing in this season again.

It's fun.

In a fight there's a winner and a loser.

But in a dance battle let's say you can do many more things.

It's both a fight but it's also a little peacocking,

and it's also kind of a courtship dance.

And there's more nuance to it.

He finds all sorts of bizarre ways of sort

of explaining this story.

Especially when he needs to explain something fuzzy.

Then he'll come up with some really fun, crazy way

of explaining it.

And one of them is the dance.

And one of them is the dance.

They're really fun.

It's really crazy to be on a show

where you just read a script and all of a sudden you're

like, oh, and now I have to dance.

Are you a dancer?

No. No.

Did you become one for this?

I had to.

Lettie is a dancer.

Lettie has to do whatever the Shadow King wants her to do.

I wasn't in any this year.

And I was jealous.

I love dancing.

Oh my goodness.

I mean like, I think it's just a Legion thing.

We got to open with a dance sequence.

You know, like, is it Legion if we don't?

Tell us how Legion defies expectations?

Well, Legion is the answer to the question you didn't ask.

Even though it's about X-Men origins story,

it's kind of a human story, done in a really strange way.

In shows that it originate from comics

I think you have a certain idea in your mind of what

it will look like and feel like, and the way it will be written.

But Legion breaks all those conventions.

The Marvel universe, those fans are unique people.

All over the country.

So this speaks to a really wide net

that need and want a story that so, you know,

bizarre and surreal.

That's something I think people are like hungry for.

I mean there's nothing like it.

There's nothing like it out there.

And it's great fun to be a part of.

This is a bad idea.

Just open your mind.

[INAUDIBLE]

For FXM I'm Tava Smiley.

See you next time.

The Cherry Blossoms of Chureito Pagoda - Yamanashi - 忠霊塔 - 4K Ultra HD - Duration: 4:35.

Located on the mountain top of Fujiyoshida City in Yamanashi prefecture,

the Chureito Pagoda is part of the Arakusa Sengen Shrine and was built as a peace memorial in 1963.

It's one of Japan's most iconic views all year long.

This gorgeous five-story pagoda can be reached after climbing around 400 steps and, once there,

it will give you one of the most breathtaking views of Mount Fuji.

It would be hard to find a better view anywhere in the region,

especially when it reaches its 'beauty peak' during the sakura (cherry blossom) season like on today's video!

As for the Arakura Sengen Shrine, it is said that this holy place was erected in 705,

and while relatively small its unique location and torii (gate)

facing Mount Fuji are also something worth checking out when visiting Chureito Pagoda.

Rocky road chocolate mum's recipe - Duration: 4:25.

feeling a little art craft crazy hi I'm Donna from art craft crazy and I'm

going to show you how to make a rocky road

chocolate, got the recipe here for you to download and it's really easy to make

today I'm using the melts, it is a dark chocolate but you can get these melts in

a lighter milk chocolate and I use melts instead of the normal Cadbury's eating

chocolate or something like that because it doesn't seem to go very solid once

you melt it and then put it back in the fridge, so use the melts they work much

better I also use a bit of copha the Copha can

be used or left out in the USA it's called Crisco which is an all

vegetable shortening. I've melted my chocolate and Copher together. I actually

done this using the stove the double boiler method, you need the marshmallows

un-salted peanuts and glazed cherries. Put the marshmallows straight in the chocolate, put the

chopped nuts in, glaced cherries in, give it a mix around

once it's all mixed in you're just going to have a flat tray with some some

shallow sides just just a bit of non-stick baking paper put that on there and just shape it into

the corners and pour it all in. this is my mum's recipe she's been making this

since we were children so it's one of my favorites every time she makes it

everybody loves it you can cut your marshmallow pieces smaller than I have

you can put a little bit more chocolate in it and like I said you can leave the

vegetable shortening (copha) out very easy recipe now all I'm going to do is put

that in the fridge needs a good six hours or even overnight it's better and

once it's set I'll be back and show you how to cut it up and get it ready for

the table. Here's the rocky road we've had it in the fridge overnight it's

quite solid I'll just move my tray aside and it's ready to cut or break up.

Look at that

now you can cut this, very easily... and that is why it's called rocky road you

can break it and rip it apart put it on the table

just let it break into pieces naturally

we can continue to cut it, into pieces. and here's my mum's recipe for rocky road

chocolate have a cup of coffee with it and enjoy. I'm Donna from art craft crazy

thanks for watching and bye for now
