N. Korea goes 'low-key' ahead of summits with S. Korea, U.S., but aims to strengthen ... - Duration: 2:50.

North Korea usually celebrate its founder Kim Il-sung's birthday with various cultural

and military events.

This year, the regime decided to keep it low-key.

But Pyongyang provided a special welcome to the Chinese delegation to strengthen relations

with Beijing.

Oh Jung-hee sheds light on the North's adjustments... made ahead of its summits with Seoul and Washington.

Until last year, North Korea has celebrated April 15th -- the birthday of the regime's

founder Kim Il-sung -- by not only holding various arts and sports events but showing

off its military power.

In 2017, the North launched a Hwasong-12 intermediate range ballistic missile... and held a large

scale military parade.

In 2016, the regime fired a Musudan IRBM.

But this year, no particular military movements of such kind were reported... and Pyongyang,

at its national meeting commemorating the founder's birthday, made no mention of its

nuclear power.

Celebrations were mostly focused on festivals and the current leader Kim Jong-un paying

tribute.

The regime seems to have adopted a 'low-key' policy ahead of its highly anticipated summits

with South Korea and the U.S.

But at the same time, North Korea is also strengthening relations with China.

Over the weekend, Song Tao, the head of the Chinese ruling party's international liaison

department,... arrived in Pyongyang, leading China's art troupe to celebrate Kim Il-sung's

birthday.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un met him face-to-face,... unlike Song's previous visit last November.

Pyongyang's state-run Korean Central News Agency reported...

Kim and Song discussed "issues of mutual concern and the international situation" -- which

could highly likely mean upcoming Washington-Pyongyang summit.

Kim is known to have said it is his duty as (quote)"a close friend" to welcome and specially

treat the delegation... as they were directly sent by Chinese President Xi Jinping.

"If North Korea holds talks with the U.S. without improving its relations with China,

then it would have a very unstable base to fall back on.

China won't be able to minimize or abolish international sanctions, but it can provide

other kinds of support such as daily necessities and rice."

Meanwhile on Sunday, Kim Jong-un's wife Ri Sol-ju watched the Chinese artists' performance,

and for the first time, Pyongyang's state media called Ri the "first lady."

She's been referred to only as Kim Jong-un's wife beforehand.

Experts interpret this as a sign of the regime trying to place itself at the same level with

other nations.

Ri has also accompanied Kim's summit with Xi Jinping... and stood alongside China's

first lady Peng Liyuan.

2004-2018 F150 Barricade 3" Bull Bar - Skid Plate - Black Exc. EcoBoost & Raptor Review & Install - Duration: 6:06.

Barricade's three inch bull bar that I have with me today includes light mounts and a

skid plate for some extra protection.

But it is still the most affordable bull bar currently available for your '04-'08 equipped

F-150.

Now you should be checking this out if you want some basic front end protection on the

trail or even in the parking lot, as some customers have mentioned in reviews already.

Now, this a direct bolt-on so I'm giving this a very simple install.

It's gonna be one out of three wrenches on my patented difficulty meter.

You should be able to tackle this in about 30 minutes with basic hand tools.

Now like I said, what's nice about this bar is the price.

It is three inches in diameter like most bars.

And even though it includes that skid plate it's still the least expensive option available

at around $130 at the moment.

You're getting a nice black powder coat finish which is better than a painted finish.

But if you wanted something brighter, keep in mind we do sell this bar in a polished

finish instead.

Now, the bar itself is made of tubular stainless steel.

So this will not flake out or rust on you over the years.

Definitely built to take some abuse and it'll help protect your grille, your radiator, and

your front bumper, all in one.

And like customers said, it'll definitely pay for itself after one of those fender benders.

Now what I like about this bull bar, in particular, is how high up it sits.

It actually sits a lot higher than some of the other options we sell, so it will not

affect your approach angles off-road.

And it even includes some of those light mounting points like I mentioned, so you can wire up

some auxiliary lighting like a 20 inch LED light bar.

That will definitely be a nice touch when you're on the trails or you're working on

those back roads at night.

Now lastly, this bar does install very easily because it uses your factory tow hook mounts.

If you wanted to retain your tow hooks you should check out some of the other options

on the page, we do offer them in the option that mounts other than in the original tow

hook location.

But they will generally cost a bit more.

Now with that said, again, this is a very simple one of the three wrenches on my patented

difficulty meter.

With that in mind, we're gonna go head over to the install bay and I can show you guys

how to get this bolted on.

All right, so we put our F-150 into the garage, and like I said this is a very easy bolt-on

job, you can get this done with basic hand tools.

We're actually gonna put our truck up on the lift to make a little easier to show you what

we're working with on underneath there.

First thing's first, if your truck is equipped with factory tow hooks we need to get those

out of the way.

Now our truck's tow hooks use 15 millimeter bolts, so we're gonna remove the 2 front bolts

on either one.

You're only gonna loosen the back bolts so then you can slide the factory tow hooks off

of the mounting point on the frame itself.

Loosening those rear 15 millimeter bolts on the tow hooks can be difficult with air tools

unless you have a swivel.

We're gonna keep things simple and we're just gonna use a hand wrench.

All right, with your factory tow hooks removed and that 15 millimeter bolt in the rear loosened,

you can now slide on the new brackets for your Barricade bull bar.

You're gonna orient it in the direction where this plate is facing out towards the tire,

and they are marked for passenger and driver side.

All right, with both of those bolts reinstalled, you're gonna drive them home with either your

wrench or you air gun.

All right, with those front bolts driven home all the way your brackets should now be lined

up in the place they need to rest.

Go ahead retighten those rear 15 millimeter bolts that we loosened earlier using your

air gun with that swivel or your hand ratchet.

All right, with your brackets tightened down, it's time to actually grab your bull bar and

line it up with the brackets.

You want the tabs on the bull bar to sit inside of the bracket itself, you can either have

a friend help you by holding it in place or if you're cool like us you can go ahead and

use a pole jack.

To tighten the bull bar to the bracket you're gonna grab the supplied hardware.

You're gonna grab one of your 12 millimeter bolts, one of the lock washers, one of the

flat washers, and thread that through the mount and the bar.

Then on the other side, you're gonna grab another flat washer and one of the provided

12 millimeter nuts and you're gonna hand-tighten everything down.

Grab your flat washer on the other side, followed by your 12 millimeter nut.

And remember we're just hand-tightening everything, that way we can realign and make sure our

bull bar is in a good spot before we drive these home.

All right, now your bull bar is technically installed and it's being supported by the

truck.

Again, you wanna have either that friend with you who's willing to help or, in our case,

our pole jack.

We're gonna go ahead and adjust our bull bar, make sure it sits where we want it to, realign

everything on those brackets, and we're gonna tighten everything down.

Once you've lined up your bull bar, it's time to drive everything home.

The bolts and nuts that we just hand-tightened and have 18 millimeter heads on those, so

you're gonna need an 18 millimeter socket and an 18 millimeter wrench to tighten these

down.

All right, with our hardware tightened down, that actually wraps up my review and install

of Barricade's three and gloss black bull bar, fitting your '04-'18 F-150.

that in order to take more interesting photos,

and photography really encouraged me as a person with a visual disability

to not shut myself off from the world but rather to go out

and explore it, and learn about it.

And this really had a big impact on me as I was learning

how to navigate the world as a person with a disability.

Photography is also a big part of my advocacy work,

because it allows me to challenge preconceived ideas

that people have about individuals with disabilities.

I can show them that with the right supports in place,

and with the accessibility features that are built into my iPhone and my iPad,

I can do photography like everybody else.

Luis Perez on His "Magical Moment" with Technology - Duration: 1:35.

I was diagnosed with a visual disability as an adult,

and when I was first diagnosed I didnt know what to do.

I didn't know how I was going got get to work,

I didn't know what my future would be like,

and in an attempt to be proactive I decided to return back to school

to pursue a graduate degree.

At that time I was really struggling with accessing information

and accessing the content I needed to learn for my studies.

And everything changed by chance

because one day as I was walking by a computer lab,

I heard a screen reader for the first time,

and this was really a magical moment.

The screen reader didn't just speak to my ears, it spoke to my heart.

And the message that I got from the technology was much more

than just the quality of the voice and how nice it was,

it really was a message of hope.

Hope that everything was going to be ok, and that I was gonna be ok.

And since then I've relied on technology to access information,

to access my learning content.

So today I'm an advocate for the use of technology to provide options for learners.

Options for how they access the content,

and also options for how they express their understanding,

and also how they are engaged with learning,

because it provides a way for them to creatively express themselves.

Luis Perez on His Work with Logan Prickett - Duration: 1:25.

Logan is a student that I've had the honor and privilege of working with.

Logan has a number of disabilities

that were the result of an allergic reaction

to a dye that was injected when he went in for an MRI.

As a result Logan went into a coma,

and when he came out of the coma he was blind.

He also had a disability that made it impossible for him

to feel the braille code that he needed to learn math.

So that's how I got involved with Logan

was in an attempt to create a system that would allow him to access his education.

what that meant was that we used the ipad and we used the iPhone

to desgin a mobile communications system.

With this communications system Logan can interact with the devices around his home,

he can communicatie with his caregivers, he can communicate with his professors.

And now Logan feels really integrated into the rest of the classroom,

and hes able to interact with other students,

and hes able to do his work independently a lot better than when we first started.
