Youtube daily report Aug 22 2018

Hello Fantastic Beast fans!

In the British Ministry of Magic, we saw their Death Chamber with the Arch of the Veil.

At MACUSA, Tina and Newt were nearly executed in theirs.

Have we already caught a glimpse of the French Ministry of Magic's death chamber?

I'm Susan Şipal with Fantastic Secrets Behind Fantastic Beasts to bring you the clues.

Join me and other Fantastic Beasts fans here on the BeastChaser Forum as we uncover the

secrets, discover what's coming first, and play along with Rowling's newest game.

And make sure you hit the subscribe button as well as the bell notification so you'll

be notified when videos post and won't miss out on the next clues!

Before we get started, please notice that this video may be a spoiler for some.

While this one has a couple of references to information from set interviews, they were

authorized by Warner Brothers.

However, with the level of detail and the amount of information we now have, I'm marking

all videos, and the comment sections, as spoilers.

You have been warned!

Ever since the first trailer released, I've been pondering this amphitheater scene.

Where is it?

What is it?

Who are the people involved?

And what exactly are Grindelwald and Rosier doing?

I've finally worked out a theory that I'm excited to share with you.

And it all starts with those bird statues which we get a better view of in the Comic-Con

trailer.

I initially thought they were eagles, but Shane pointed out to me that they are crows.

You can tell by the beaks.

Which, of course, makes us think of the Lestranges.

But what if there were another correlation to a gathering of crows.

As in murder?

You can have a gaggle of geese, a cauldron of bats, but a group of crows is called a

murder.

As crows are scavengers, they were often seen circling cemeteries and battlefields and were

thought to foretell death.

In folklore, crows would also gather to hold court over their own, and if a crow was judged

to have trespassed, the other crows would swoop down and kill it.

Which makes me wonder, is this circle of crow pillars not only supporting the amphitheater

roof, but also upholding justice?

And is this murder of crows overseeing the executions that follow?

If so, could we be getting our first glimpse of the French Ministry's judicial and execution

chamber?

After all, we saw the death chamber in London's Department of Mysteries that resembled the

courtroom Harry had been in earlier and included a raised dais which held the Veil of death.

Then there was MACUSA's weird pool of death.

As we've already seen that the French Ministry hints at the French Revolution, which included

mass executions, could this be a very old chamber that witnessed public trials and the

executions that followed?

But isn't the crow, the Corvus, a symbol associated with the Lestrange family?

Keep in mind that the Lestranges seem to be a very old and aristocratic family…as their

huge family mausoleum in the center of Paris should attest.

And carved on one of those tombs is the Lestrange family motto: Corvus Oculum Corvi non Eruit.

Thanks so much to Wendell Rosier for bringing this to my attention.

It means, a crow will not pull out the eye of another crow, and is a well-known Latin

saying indicating, basically, honor among thieves.

According to MentalFloss.com, it "refers to complete solidarity amongst a group of

like-minded people regardless of the consequences or condemnation."

Could the Lestranges have been like the Malfoys and the Blacks in the UK?

Using their money and connections to influence the French Ministry?

And if so, might the judicial chamber have been designed in their honor?

And could some of these executions have been people who opposed them -- political assassinations?

They would not pluck out their own eyes, but watch out anyone who stood against them.

I would even go so far as to speculate that the effigies scattered about the chamber are

not of Lestrange family members, but may be the remains of famous executions.

Perhaps that's why there seems to be a wing covering this one rather than the normal body

representation.

One other piece of evidence I want to point out is the poster from Comic-Con.

As we talked about in the trailer reaction video, these four corners seem to show scenes

linked to the characters in those corners.

We have Dumbledore with Hogwarts, and the Cliffs of Dover.

Maledictus and Credence below scenes from the circus.

Leta and Theseus below the National Gallery on Trafalgar Square.

And then Grindelwald beside his carriage escape and above the French Ministry.

But why would Grindelwald be associated with the French Ministry?

Is it perhaps because this key scene of him on the dais is part of the Ministry?

Perhaps, even, the Thestral carriage was taking him there?

Or is it associated with the Team and not him?

At the very beginning of the film, we see Grindelwald's escape.

We've been told that he's being extradited to Europe.

Could it be that his Thestral-drawn coach was taking him to this very courtroom to face

not just trial, but execution?

After all, at the beginning of FB1, he stands in front of a chateau where he kills 5 Aurors.

Maybe the movie comes full circle near the end with him appearing willingly at the court

to stand, not before his supporters as I prior thought, but his accusers.

I may be truly going out on a limb with this one, but I'm wondering if with his charm,

charisma, and conviction of cause, Grindelwald meets before this court to persuade them to

his cause…and succeeds.

Which would really give a whole new spin to Jonny Depp appearing before the audience at

Comic-Con, wouldn't it?

At Comic-Con, Depp gave a persuasive in-character argument.

Shown on the panels surrounding him were clips from this scene, with some in the audience

holding up lit wands.

Not everyone, though.

Are those lit wands meant to signal their vote of approval?

Earlier in the trailer, we saw something black moving throughout Paris, covering the buildings

in black sheets.

In the Comic-Con poster, a black sheet also holds Grindelwald's symbol.

Obviously, Grindelwald's power is spreading throughout France.

By the end of the film, has he perhaps overtaken the French Ministry by vote rather than armed

force?

Here's one more image to hint that this may have been a ministry meeting.

Who can you spot in this gathering?

Right there.

That's Theseus.

And over here, that may be Yusuf Kama.

I initially thought the brothers Scamanders invaded Grindelwald's group of supporters

in a raid.

That what this image seems to indicate.

But at least Theseus was there much longer.

Perhaps from the start.

But I want to go back to what Grindelwald could have said or done to have persuaded

this crowd.

Consider what he said in character at Comic-Con regarding Muggles: "I do not hate them.

I do not.

I say the Muggles are not lesser.

Not worthless, but of other value.

Magic blooms only in rare souls.

It is granted to those who live for higher things…The moment has come, to rise up and

take our rightful place in the world."

Here, before an assembly of wizarding world supporters and accusers, is he sowing the

seeds of othering and tribalism that will lead the magical community toward mass Muggle

slaughter?

And does he use or manipulate three key elements in this scene to do so?: the skull, the bright

light, and the dais.

I've speculated a lot about the skull Rosier holds in her hands, linking it to a dark alchemist

who performed a child sacrifice ritual to heal a dying king, which would probably appear

only in subtext.

We've also discussed whether Grindelwald could be using it for his visions, and whether

he could be presenting it magically in this scene to give testimony.

Now, I'm also wondering if he's using something about the skull to announce the

beginning of his plan to move, enslave, or eliminate Muggles?

I don't think the skull is a Lestrange ancestor, because the writing seems to be in German,

not French.

But, remember how we discussed that Grindelwald is the shadow of Newt.

Newt was expelled, or almost expelled, for endangering the life of another student.

Grindelwald was expelled from Durmstrang when his experiments got too dark.

Were his experiments so dark that they became deadly?

Did he kill someone…a Muggle perhaps?

And is this skull his trophy, marked with the laurel wreath to indicate his triumph,

and containing the magical power which led to that one death, and the fiery secret for

many more to come?

Perhaps this skull was his first step in his quest for the greater good that has led him

to the French Ministry to gain their full support in affirming rather than condemning

The Crimes of Grindelwald.

As for the dais, I know this is going to sound crazy, but I think it may be an ancient time

turner, but one that tracks time rather than transports you back into it.

As I mentioned in my first trailer reaction video, the first time I saw it, I thought

it was a solar clock and could be used for some sort of ritual.

I'm even more convinced of the ritual part now.

Look at these: this is a zodiac wheel, which we discussed in a prior video.

And this is a prayer wheel.

And this one is from a Renaissance medical text that aligns alchemy and astrology symbols.

All of these turn to determine the timing of esoteric alignments, understand divine

judgements, or reveal mortal fate.

And all of them center the sun or god.

Grindelwald stands dead center.

I believe that stone dais will come magically to life and turn, aligning him, somehow, with

Right and Power.

Perhaps this turning will even bring about that burst of light, and prove (at least to

some) the truth of his argument.

The time has come for magicals to quote: "rise up and take our rightful place in the world."

And then what of the people who voted against him?

Those people shooting off in plumes of smoke or dust don't look like the apparation that

has been used so far.

Look carefully at this woman and this one, and watch what happens.

These women seem to be overtaken by whatever is happening to them, rather than transforming

themselves.

They are not waving their wands.

They simply look up as they start to transform.

Watch again.

I wondered, could these be executions we're witnessing?

Are they dissenters, or those of Muggle heritage, and Grindelwald is eliminating them?

But no one around them seems to be reacting in horror or panic.

Maybe there's a reason why.

Watch it again, but pay attention to those not transforming.

Did you see anyone move?

This time, I want you to pay particular attention to this guy, who seems to be posed to run.

Notice that he didn't move.

I have not yet been able to detect any movement except for the women transforming.

They're frozen in time.

Has Grindelwald somehow successfully used this ancient dais to manipulate or freeze

time?

And if so, has he decimated his audience while no one could stop him?

Or, is no one noticing what's going on right beside them?

A foretelling of what's to come.

Even Theseus appears frozen.

But I bet you anything, Newt, with his outsider perspective, will not be.

I think Grindelwald manipulates this dais, skull, and light to form an image in his audience's

mind of the golden age of wizardry.

A time period when they were free to live in the open without Muggle involvement.

An image that captivates, most, not all, of his audience and persuades their votes of

approval.

This vote, perhaps, magically empowers Grindelwald further so that he can manipulate and freeze

time to eliminate those who opposed him.

To bite out the eyes of those who saw through the utopia of his vision to its ugly reality.

So, what do you think?

Did I take this theory a bit too far?

Do you think we could be seeing the Death Chamber in the French Ministry, but not sure

of the time manipulation?

Please, share your thoughts in the comments.

Visiting Korea Storytime - Hongdae and K-Pop Camp Experience - Duration: 9:17.

안녕하세요 여러분! (Hello Everyone!)

So I've come to Korea! Oh my gosh I made it. It's wild...um it's pretty cool

though it's really different from America

There's a lot of...there's just a lot of differences from America that you would

never have like thought of. Maybe because like you see all these Korea vlogs right

and you just see like all the streets in Hongdae and all the people and stuff and there's

just some things that you just don't- no one really warns you about

and if they do at least I haven't...I was never told

so um so just a quick story time before I start with my room tour because

I'm in my hotel room (actually hostel lmao) right now. So yesterday I landed in Korea after a 13

hour flight oh my gosh ridiculous. I landed and I went to the air- I went

through all the customs and security and passports and all that stuff, I landed

and then I was waiting around for my escort from my camp to arrive and so um

Incheon airport is very very big you can get lost in it so easily.

Um lots of people- there lots of foreigners that did not I mean like

Duh it's an International Airport like my mind just like its Korea it's

gonna be a lot of Koreans, duh there are but

There are a lot more foreigners there that I thought there was going to be so

I was kind of surprised. Um おどろいだ.

and then so after she came we walked around I got t-money card we went to the

subway. The subway takes so long to get from place to place like unless you are

getting off the next stop, you are gonna be in there for a solid like 15 minutes

that is a long time to be just standing, a long time to be just waiting,

and a long time to be avoiding these ahjussi's eyes. Avoiding like all the other sides because I feel like

they were like not really judging me but kinda like *obviously judgemental stare* wait that is judging

so, I mean they weren't- they didn't look rude, they didn't come off as rude at all

I just wanted to like show respect and like be quiet and like not meet any of their eyes

So um, after we got off at Hongdae, um we walked x3

the city is very big there's a lot of signs everywhere there's a lot of

shops everywhere lots of lights everywhere. The streets are up and down

so not smooth like the US are there lots of up and downs they're not really

uneven but there's a lot of um like *wavy hand motion*

これなんじ (incorrect Japanese for 'like this' lmao) um and there's a lot of like not really cracks but like

nooks and crannies in the city you know like there's a lot of like alleys and a

lot of um...garage! There's a lot of garages. So there's a lotta like little, like lil little things everywhere.

Lots of people, lot's- everyone here is fashionable. Like if you're going to be

going anywhere in Hongdae, you need to be on your best fashion game it is very

very um fashionable here. Because in America you can go anywhere in like sweatpants and a t-shirt

you'll be chillin', no! In Hong- at least in Hongdae, I have't been anywhere else

but Hongdae, you need to be wearing fashion. No stilettos and all that nonsense, it's just

fashionable so um so yeah be fashionable um lots of nooks and crannies.

There's a lot of stores that are also on the second floor and there's also stores that

you have to walk down into so while there's stores that stay like main level, stores like

above it, and some stores you can even walk down into which I thought was really really

cool cuz I've never had anything like that in America um that's where I came

from. Uh what else...and lots of small things

Things here in Korea are small cuz a lot people living here, lots of things going

on at the same time, so everything is going to get a little bit

smaller than you think. So all these big shopping stri- no. We don't got any of that here.

You gonna have to get used to small x3.

So I'll come back to that small thing later when I'm showing you my room

tour. So after I walked through the city of Hongdae and I went to uh, where I was supposed to be here,

where I was supposed to be at, my escort dropped me off at well

first we went to whole bunch of different places because we thought that the dance

class was over here and it wasn't, and we moved, is it gonna be here? it wasn't. We asked someone and

this is where I found out that most people here are Japanese.

and I was like heck's yeah because at least I can speak some Japanese I can

barely speak Korean like if I had a whole group of Koreans it would have

been kind of bad because I would not be able to communicate with

them well at all um but since the Japanese I can...ちょっと できるよう. (I can kind of do it.)

So um after we asked them (the staff) a couple questions they were like "oh yeah it's just here"

it wasn't. And then we finally found it after like a couple minutes later we

found it and then we actually joined it on what they were dancing to which was

Ddu-du Ddu-du Du, which was perfect because I actually already learned the dance in

America with my sister um so いもと...いもとさんと. (sister...with my sister) so um yeah I just joined

in. I already knew the dance moves. There was a few changes cuz

I had Jennie's part and they were learning Lisa's part so there's a few things that I

learned differently from America that what she was talking about but I did

manage to do well in the end and so video recorded it and my dumb... forgot to

video record my group so I need to ask someone if they can spare me footage

of the people I was in. But yeah so after the dance we went to a place I forgot

what it's called but we ate I think...we ate this soup that had ice in it and it

was- you had to cut it up and it was like noodles and there was some

some vegetables in it, I don't remember what it's called it was really

good it was just I didn't... I already ate on the plane so I felt pretty full so I didn't

really eat a lot and plus I had chopsticks and I suck at using

chopsticks as much as I want to be good at it. So we after we ate that-

oh there's this really good にく(meat), oh meat, there's this really good meat, oh my gosh

かんぺき (perfection). So after we ate we went back to- we walked around, we walked back

to our hotel right? And it was pretty cool, it was like pretty nice walk cuz

we like kind of explored the streets a little bit it was so cool seeing all

these shops that were lit up in the middle of the night and it's different because in America you

walk on the streets at night you're gonna get like jumped not really but you

know what I mean. Like there's barely anything open at night. But here, in Korea

like everything is open, everything is literally open, it's great. So, you don't even

have to worry about walking the streets um at night. And there was like, um. I was kind of worried...I mean I'll get to that later.

So after we came, arrived at our hotel then our escort left and we

all went up to our rooms and also she called back down cuz I came late and

then like, they had to figure out what room I was in but I figured it

out, it's 207. So, um, so yeah after I got into my room and sat down

uh my roommate wasn't here yet and then I came I mean um so now I've took a

shower and all that good stuff then she came. She's actually black like me. Just a little darker

she in some braids like this color. They stop like right here, uh, hopefully I'll

got a video with her soon um so yeah. She's actually from France which is

really cool so she's fluent in French and um pretty much fluent in English. She's

learning Korean, she's better than me in it, so um, but she doesn't know any

Japanese (only bare basics) so I got you. Um, 네 (Yes). So I slept, woke up, just came back just came up from

breakfast and I am waiting for I think 10:10?

I was told 9:20 but I don't know so waiting for our next activity. So...that's it!
