the making process of coco peat and coco fiber from coconut husk at home

within 20 minutes

here the potting medium made out of coconut husks

coco husk pieces/ coco husk chips

best organic growing media for orchids, anthuriums, roses ,bromeliads, kalanchoe and any plants that require aeration

it can be used as an alternative to bark

next

coco coir/fiber

popular type of hydroponic growing medium

coconut fiber adds air pockets into the medium

it's a coco peat

a multi purpose growing medium, natural rooting hormones and anti-fungal properties

an excellent growing medium for hydroponics or container plant growing

how to get these products from coconut husk at home?

i'll show you the making process

first

need a Punch-Lok Hammer or any similar beating tool

now

beat the dry husk with a hammer

then

separating and peeling the fiber

and then

crushing and peeling the coir fiber by hand

here the coco dust and spongy component of coir

its particles are very small and fine

next

making the coco husk chips from husk

cutting or slicing the husk into small pieces with a knife or cutting tool

dried husk is harder

so we must be careful to handle the tools when slicing the husk

after all process

we can get coco peat, coco coir and coco husk chips from one coconut husk

we must soak in water before use these coco peat and coco chips

because it can let out salts that will kill the plants

so we must remove the salty contents

So how fast is Typhoon Soulik?

Its strongest wind speed is supposedly over 40 meters per second.

And our Han Soo-ah tells us how strong that might feel.

As well as heavy rain, Typhoon Soulik is bringing strong winds to South Korea, with the strongest

windspeeds hitting 43 meters per second.

Wind speeds of 10 meters per second make it hard to hold an umbrella.

It becomes difficult to walk along the road when winds reach 20 meters per second.

Females can be even be pushed back by the wind.

As the wind speed reaches 40 meters per second, it becomes difficult to walk and breathe properly

even for a sturdy man.

Driving is also dangerous in these conditions.

If a car travels at 70 kilometers per hour, no matter how fast the wiper works, the front

of the vehicle is not visible.

During typhoons, it is safer to move cars to the nearest parking lot or resting place

by using the emergency lights.

If a subway station starts to flood, it is best to evacuate quickly, but if there's more

than 50 centimeters of water outside, then water will pour down the stairs at the subway's

entrance, which makes it difficult to walk.

In areas affected by the typhoon, it is most important to stay in a safe place and inspect

vulnerable facilities that are susceptible to heavy winds.

White House says Trump 'did nothing wrong' after Michael Cohen's guilty plea - Duration: 1:44.

The White House insists that the admission by President Trump's former lawyer Michael

Cohen.... that he broke campaign finance laws does not mean the president is implicated.

Ro Aram reports.

On Tuesday, Cohen pleaded guilty to violating finance laws during Trump's 2016 presidential

campaign by paying hush money to two of the president's alleged mistresses.

Cohen added he was instructed by Trump to commit the crimes.

This is significant because the admission has come from someone who was known to be

Trump's so-called "fix it" lawyer for more than a decade.

However, on Wednesday, the White House pushed back against those claims.

"As the president has stated on numerous occasions, he did nothing wrong.

There are no charges against him in this.

And just because Michael Cohen made a plea deal, doesn't mean that that implicates the

president on anything."

Sanders however declined to answer questions on when Trump knew about the payments to Stormy

Daniels and Karen McDougal.

President Trump lashed out at his former lawyer on Wednesday, accusing him of making up stories

in order to get a deal from federal prosecutors.

Cohen's guilty plea came at almost the same time that Trump's ex-campaign chairman Paul

Manafort was convicted of separate financial crimes.

Although Trump is mostly immune from indictment while he is president, he is at risk of being

impeached.

The whole ordeal is a result of special counsel Robert Mueller's probe into possible collusion

between the Trump campaign and Russia - which Trump again denounced as a "witch hunt" in

a tweet on Wednesday.

Cohen's lawyer has said his client is ready to tell everything he knows about Trump to

help Mueller's investigation.

Lifting sanctions will only come after North Korea denuclearizes: Trump - Duration: 2:14.

The United States continues to urge North Korea to take steps towards denuclearization...

*if it wants relief from crippling sanctions.

This comes as the Trump administration slapped three sets of unilateral sanctions on firms

linked to the regime in August alone.

Lee Ji-won has more.

U.S. President Donald Trump is once again reiterating that the denuclearization of North

Korea must come before sanctions relief.

President Trump made the remarks at a rally in West Virginia this week, just hours after

the U.S. Treasury Department announced new sanctions on Russian shipping companies for

violating North Korea-related UN Security Council resolutions.

He also recalled his historic summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in June,...

once again highlighting the "good chemistry" he has with Kim.

Trump reminded his supporters about how much the situation has changed, from the 'extremely

hostile' start he had with Kim, and the grave concerns that there might be a war,... to

the North's current cessation of missile or rocket launches.

But President Trump stressed that they will have to see what happens.

He said he hasn't yet lifted massive U.S. sanctions on North Korea, but he wants to

take them off quickly.

However, he said for that to happen,... the North Koreans must first abandon their nuclear

arsenal.

Just this month, Washington slapped three sets of sanctions on foreign companies and

individuals linked to North Korea to further squeeze Pyongyang, demonstrating the Trump

administration's strong determination to increase pressure on the regime until it fully denuclearizes.

And on this, Japan has reaffirmed its support as well.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said during a briefing on Wednesday

that President Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe had a phone call earlier that day,

where the two leaders expressed their commitment to maintaining strong sanctions on North Korea.

Sanders also said the two leaders look forward to seeing each other at the UN General Assembly

in September, and Trump will continue holding important conversations with Washington's

allies.

Minimizing damage from Typhoon Soulik: Safety ministry - Duration: 1:33.

South Korea's safety ministry gave out some instructions on how to get prepared for the

typhoon and what we could do once the typhoon makes its landfall.

Our )Yoon Jung-min reports.

Forecasters say the storm will be as strong as Typhoon Kompasu, which caused 5 deaths

in 2010.

Soulik is expected to put many lives and property in peril as it passes over the country, so

the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Korea Meteorological Administration are

each running a disaster safety website and a national typhoon center.

They're providing guidelines on how to prepare.

In case of torrential rain, the websites advise families to decide ahead of time on a place

to meet if they lose each other.

Also, it recommends that residents stock up on things like medication, drinking water

and emergency food supplies.

Motorists should fill up with gas, and people should make sure outdoor drainage is clear

of debris so that it doesn't flood.

When the storm makes landfall, residents are advised to lock the doors and windows for

safety.

They should refrain from using electric appliances and shut off the power.

Drivers should slow down and avoid driving across flooded roads.

The ministry warns everyone to avoid places outdoors where there could be flash flooding,

landslides... or beaches where the waves could surge far onto the shore.

North Korea appears to have stopped dismantling a missile engine testing site,...

this according to 38 North,... a U.S. website monitoring the regime.

The website said on Wednesday,... that commercial satellite imagery from last week showed....

"no significant dismantlement activity" at the Sohae Satellite Launching Station since

August 3rd.

It added that... work on the launch pad also appears to have halted,... with the same parts
