The biggest reason is to allow me to focus on calculating a way of dealing with the Profound Darkness once and for all.
Truth be told, I don't even know if there is a solution. However, doing nothing isn't an option. I don't want anyone else to have to sacrifice themselves.
It's only thanks to you... and Persona, that the Profound Darkness is being kept at bay.
When the Profound Darkness begins to resurrect, you keep it in place, and chip away at its power.
Meanwhile when it's weakened, Persona comes to the fore from within it, and uses their powers to initiate a temporal reversal.
He undoes his own timeline, and pulls the Profound Darkness back to the moment before the resurrection commences. That's the limit of their powers...
The repetition of that cycle has allowed us to keep the Profound Darkness sealed in those ruins.
But that means Persona is just living that cycle forever...
Right. He's having to sacrifice himself over and over... and the thing is, I can't be sure how long they can last.
That's why I want to focus on figuring out a solution where nobody has to suffer like he has.
Though I have a feeling things aren't about to go quite that smoothly...

The Photoners were only able to seal it away, so I wouldn't get your hopes up, but I'm sure what she knows will at least prove useful.
But you know, leaving the task of gathering that information to Afin doesn't exactly... fill me with confidence, shall we say.
