It all started 5 years ago

with one rescued animal and remarkably good feeling

of changing the course of a sad story towards the happy ending.

Originally we sheltered animals in our own homes.

Later, we brought together a circle of like-minded people and so „Naminukai" were born.

The number or of requests of assistance was increasing, thus we had to set up a separate room

which we simply call „the cat room".

Cats which have been betrayed, thrown out, hurt or very sick come here.

These stories are very heavy, so we do everything for them to get everything they did not have until then.

The greatest joy comes when one of them finds his way to a new home.

. This is „the CAT room",

but we're aware of all the dogs in need of our help.

Until now, we did not have a place where we could take care of them,

but the time has come to take a step forward.

This is a place that could became a haven for dogs which were betrayed.

This homestead in Rukainiai village could become a place

where they would be safe, loved and cared for while waiting for their new owners in peace.

For now it's modest in here, but we are ready to get rid off old ghosts and to make it a place for everyone to enjoy.

We know – if we unite, our goal will be reached!

Naminukai is a non-profit organization, the activities can be carried out only with support of people care for animals.

This homestead is not own by "Naminukai" so far.

We lack 9000 euros for our big step.

If we could find 900 people who could donate 10 euros for homeless animals each,

our goal would be achieved!

Accessibility At Bars & Venues | #SpinaBifida - Duration: 2:33.

Hey everyone, welcome to #SpinaBifida.

Since moving to LA,

and dating someone who is in a band.

I'm constantly going to venues.

A lot of building in LA that I go to that

have music venues

they're very old.

Someone brought up to me that

there's a certain ADA code that if a building

is a certain age, meaning that it's very old

they're not required to make it fully accessible.

I don't really know the logistics of all that.

I've encountered some venues that are not accessible.

There's no ramps, the bathrooms are definitely not accessible.

And that's very frustrating.

I recognized that I have a bit more privilege

because even though I'm disabled, I can get into these venues.

But I have noticed some venues

that while they can't change the integrity of the building

they have added ways to make it more accessible.

Okay I have to be quick because someone might come in.

But this bathroom, I'm in the women's bathroom.

This stall is super accessible,

but my favorite thing is the thing for the sink

to make it accessible.

So this is the sink and if you are in a wheelchair,

you open these doors and then you can wheel your wheelchair closer.

So you can reach the sink.

And I think that's a cool little thing that they did

to make their sink accessible.

So good job!

And I thought that was

a cool thing that they left because they could of easily

turned under the sink to be storage

for toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies.

but instead they left it empty so you could open it and get closer to the sink.

So that was really cool to see

and I wanted to share that because

it's little things like that, that bars and venues can do

to make their places more accessible.

But it is a little frustrating because

I don't really know a lot of the ADA laws

when it's a really old building.

But it sucks that it's not thought of

a lot of the times that disabled patrons would want

to go see live music or go drinking.

And they don't have access.

So if anyone that owns a venue, owns a bar

sees this video, make your place more accessible.

Talk to disabled people, because we can help you.

Which in turn, gives you more revenue.

Because if you have disabled people coming out

to your venue to your bar, you're going to make way more sales.

Because we wanna go out.

But I wanted to share that one bar because it just

made me super excited to see that kind of accessibility.
