My Plants in June 2017 | Update - Duration: 14:08.

Hi I'm George :) Today I will show you my plants in June 2017

I have some 3 kinds of plants that have flower buds, and that's very cool

In June my plants have grown very well

Let's see them all

This is the banana plant that we planted directly in the ground some time ago and

Now it started growing fast enough and

Look what the beautiful leaf grows here

And it's very cool, we expect more growths

and look, here is a baby banana plant

At first I lost three leaves, they were sensitive and it was windy

And so, and this is the second banana plant

Then I made a video and I will attach the link

But look how it grow, to this I lost only 2 leaves

And this, you see it bent here

Well, look how it looks

Grow this leaf and it's really cool

And here has developed a banana baby, grow better that I showed you the first

But this is the oleandra, and planted it directly into the ground

And you know what? Has flower buds, I did not think she would bloom

But look how flower blooms look

It means that it is a white oleander

here we can see flower buds, gorgeous

Look how many are

I took it from Turkey

And I did not expect it to blossom so soon

fine ;)

I will make special video when the flowers will open

and Punica granatum planted directly into the ground that resists winters

So I protect them in the winter

And I left him with only two branches, one and two

And this, to make it thicker to withstand frosts

roses that I got from Italy

Changes to them do not see, new growths do not see, the flowers have passed

So they must be replanted directly into the ground

I probably will do it in September

Mandarin tree has developed very well this month

Many new leaves have grown and

leaves have a fairly good color

And there are many and I am glad

But I expect to bloom

It's taller than me, and it's great, look how the leaves look

Super cool, this month bravo

I moved and the Calla outside, and grows very well, I put near mandarin

and there we see that grows a leaf

And now it's raining and it's very good, and I have pomegranate trees in the pots

Something like that, and the jade tree here

It grows a new leaf

And look and down grows new leaves

I have it since March 2016

Paulownia tomentosa from seeds

Only these two paulownia survived

And we will see, look like paulownia? write in comments

My collection of cacti, cactus mammillaria

So everyone feels very good, it is echinopsis subdenudata

And they feel very good, the cactus sit in the open air and

It is very good that they are more full of life, it's great

They are echinopsis, and this long

He's a little tired, he's old

But it's really cool to have this grated lemon blossomed

Which is called limonella

And has flower buds on many branches

And I will make a special video when the flowers will open

Fine as to having flower buds, I did not expect to bloom

And that's it, this is the second plant that blossomed unexpectedly

The banana plant that I got from Turkey

And I enjoyed this month with a really great growth

ie we see that grows a new leaf

And already leaves grow bigger

and this is really cool, I really like that grow so

And he likes the humidity, when it's raining

And I spray it every day on leaves, bananas, mandarin and all tropicals

Magnolias from seeds, from lyn

And look very good, I recently replanted them

and magnolia trees are replanted somewhere 10

We expect to grow still

Lemon not grafted, and it has many new growths, that

Look, it is seen that these leaves are fresh and

Looks quite decorative now

And the dwarf banana looks very fine

With new growths, two leaves have grown, and another leaves still grow

And it's so fine

Is it still decorative, and what do I want to show you?

We look down here in the pot and see

This banana baby

And one more, look a little small there

Is very cool

Not long ago I reppoted and again made saplings, so I enjoyed it very much

That was a dwarf, but that's not a dwarf

That was a draw cavendish , but that's cavendish

And gave it me a friend Vitalie

And started growing very nice and it too

And it looks like he has saplings too, if we notice small small

And we will see when they grow big

This is perlagonium and

So it has flower buds again

Will bloom

And I'll put some photos on the instagram when the flower will opens

look how it looks at the moment

Looks pretty good, and I'm glad

only minus is that it is too old, And you know what I'm gonna do?

I will cut shoots and I will multiply

And I will have young plants

Christmas cactus, gave it to me Dumitru

It feels very good outside

It feels very good after 2 months of replanting and

New growth has but barely noticeable and

It does not grow much in the summer, it's hot and that's it

The opuntia and succulents that I planted directly into the ground

Are very beautiful all

And the opuntia is very beautiful, it was made thicker

That when you plant the plant in the ground is something else compared to the plants in the pots

and look difference when it was in the pot and now it is in the ground directly

Aloe delaetii So this month has not grown too much

And it was raining outside and raining it a little

but it does not matter

I will show you the growing babys , focusing on babys more

Many have grown, but I think I will eliminate them

Phalaenopsis orchid, look at how much this leaf grew compared to the previous month

Grew bigger and I'm happy and

grows new roots

This orchid I have it in April 2017

and there still bloom

Now is June and look how the flower looks

Looks the same, nothing changes

Compared to the previous month

Looks fine

And switch to coffee plants

I have some coffee plants here

This has not developed well, but the rest has grown nicely

And look what leaves it has

Now freshly grown, and this is very fresh

Very super new growths

It's hot, and I sprinkle the leaves every day they like it a lot

But Keith's saguaro cacti I was only with these

I do not know why they do not really go to me, but anyway, maybe they will survive

You see that a few have already formed thorns, and we will see

Hi Keith, if you see this video

But African violet still keeps the flowers, and it's amazing as it looks

Full of flowers and very fine

So the variety is good

Look how it looks

And seedlings multiplied through the leaf

Leaves have grown bigger already

And we will see when it blooms

But before I flourish, I think I'll replant it, something like that

Kiwi from seed, since 2017

look how increased very super

Kalanchoe blossfeldiana

Has still grown this, and I have taken from my mother's sister

And very super grows

And it has very beautiful leaves, I like it

I recently replanted the bay

And so it looks at the moment

And I like how it looks

It's great, we're expecting new growth

These leaves were dark, last month they were fresh

This is dwarf palm something like that

Is called parlor palms

and opened a leaf, and I am very glad

But they are lucky bamboos

I have multiplied all of them from this

and this it has new growths here

Here we see the growth, very great

And this it looks great, I like it

So the pineapple that we planted from a fruit will come out of the series

Because it does not grow

I multiplied it in September 2016 last year and

I multiplied hard and nothing grows, you need a lot of patience

When there will be new increases will come into the series again

This is solanum, I have replanted it and made a video and you saw it

And grows very well nicely

And has flower buds

When the flower opens I will make a special video

Chinese dwarf rose

I mean, I keep it as a dwarf and

Look what shape this month has

Let's light it up a little

Look how it looks right now and

Looks great

Schlumbergera truncata 2016

It has no new growth, it has nothing new

That it had flowers last month

And now rests

but here is the cactus from seed

4 varieties of cactus

From Lyn in Ireland, and look how it looks at the moment

and expected next month, will be we will see

This is another christmas cactus multiplied from the mother plant and

and became very beautiful form

Very great

It has new growth here

This is "golden mustache"

Or callissia fragrans in English

And new growth has

Grows well up, has little and ends support

And the leaves are very bright

I now use the phone light

That the outdoors is dark and cloudy

And looks great

It has shoots that grow

last month I have shown that these shoot was very small, now

Look, how much did it grow

and these shoots, very super grow here

But here is kalanchoe daigremontiana

And so it grows very high

Grows grows and grows

Look, last month was somewhere here

Has grown up this month, much like that

And is about 1.20 cm

This is a banana plant, musa helen's hybrid

Which I keep only in the house and

Have some very large leaves and

The leaves are kept in the house, do not beat the wind and

I love, it is very super looks like the tropics;

And look what it is, look what the leaf grows

I'm sorry about the video quality that it's kind of dark, but it does not matter

look as nice, right?

Let's see the farther

how it looks

something like that

And it is smaller, but it will grow too, that I will replant it soon

And look how it looks at the moment

Thank you for watching, I hope you enjoyed my plants in June 2017

and wish you a good day, leave a like, distribute this video

And we'll see you next time

Bye :)

HOW TO! An Easy DIY Project To Do With Your Wife Or Husband #CoupleCrafts #DIY - Duration: 2:47.

For this project you will need: A 5 ft 5 woman

A wooden chair A broomstick

If you do not want to, or can not use a woman, you can also use a man.

A 5 ft 9 or 5 ft 10 will work great!

If he has a moustache, this is a plus.

Using the chair as a reference point, place your man or woman legs fully stretched to

hold the backrest of the chair.

In the meantime, grab your broomstick and, in a swift motion, place it on the spine of

your assistant.

Now, push down the broomstick firmly until it reaches an horizontal placement determined

by the height of the chair. This will force your human to lean forward in a power position

that should, at least, create an awkward moment of vulnerability and open a shakra.

Using your broomstick as a reference, check now the alignment of the combination chair,

back and arm of your human, and ensure it is levelled.

A light pressure should be sufficient to check both the flexibility and sturdiness of your

construction.

When satisfied, you can now remove the broomstick and take a few steps back to confirm the parallelism

of your construction.

It should look something like this.

If using a man, make sure the arms are fully stretched and that the moustache remains visible

at all times.

Adjustments can be made at any stage by slightly tapping the bum or the neck area.

Eventually, you should have something like this.

You have now completed building one of the most versatile piece of furniture for around

the house, that you can use as: * Desk

* Breakfast bar * Side table for Children birthday or baby

shower * Workbench

* Dog grooming table * Lift table for motorcycle

And many more And when you are done, the best part is that

you can simply slide it under your bed, or against a wall.

If you enjoyed this project, why don't you join us next time for more projects, like

the rock and roll lounge chair, the minimalistic victorian bookshelf or the modern wood coat

hanger Alternatively, you could just simply write

us a check.

That would also be just fine!

A Real Alien Invasion Is Coming to a Palm Tree Near You | Deep Look - Duration: 4:04.

Aah, Southern California.

Y'know, the whole "surf's up, Tinseltown, sun-soaked glamour" thing?

Too bad this idyllic landscape is mostly make-believe.

Take the palm trees.

They're not even real trees.

They're more closely related to grass.

And they're imported.

Like this Canary Island date palm.

It came halfway around the world to be one of the more dazzling stars in the landscape.

But this Hollywood success story is turning into a horror movie.

This little monster is the South American palm weevil.

Scientists first found it in San Diego in 2011.

Weevils are just beetles... with snouts.

This female uses hers as a drill, to get at the palm's apical meristem.

It's a bowl of juicy goodness at the top, where the leaves sprout.

She lays her eggs down in those tunnels.

And her spawn eat the palm from the inside out… starting with its heart.

That's right; it's the same stuff you can get at the supermarket.

They'll turn this palm's healthy flesh into a rotting mess that smells like a dumpster

in the sun.

Once they're big enough, the larvae will spin cigar-shaped cocoons from the leftover

fibers they can't eat.

As the trees' fronds starve and die, the larvae hang out and gestate, morphing into

pupae, and…

Ew, that's just, oh man…

That's gross.

As adults, they burst out, take flight and seek out a new host… leaving behind the

dying, hollow shell of a once majestic palm.

Mark Hoddle, at UC Riverside, is tracking the weevil infestation.

He puts them on a kind of aerial treadmill in his lab to test their stamina.

He's trying to figure out how they got here, whether they hitched a ride on imported palms,

or made the trip themselves.

Turns out they can fly up to 15 miles a day, enough to hopscotch from palm to palm on their

own.

The only way to stop them: treat every palm tree in their path with pesticides before

the weevils get there.

That'll be tough to do.

So these particular botanical icons could be on the fast track to being just another

Hollywood has-been.

These weevils are pretty gnarly.

So we asked Anna Rothschild from Gross Science to do those animations for us.

Thanks, Anna!

ANNA: You're welcome!

It's my pleasure.

I love gross stuff.

LAUREN: So there is one other way to manage these larvae, sort of a biological control,

which people do in some places, like Thailand, Peru and Ghana.

ANNA: Entomophagy!

LAUREN: Eating bugs.

Mmm.

Tasty.

ANNA: So hop over to my channel for a whole episode about it.

LAUREN: And thanks for watching this Deep Look.

Cottage cheese-sour cream dessert with strawberries, delicious recipe! - Duration: 5:05.

Curd and sour dessert with strawberries, a recipe for a delicious and easy dessert!

If you get in the way of subtitles - turn them off!

Hello! My name is Dina. And I'm very glad to see you on my channel "Collection of Recipes".

Today we continue a series of delicious strawberry desserts. Prepare cream cheese and sour cream with strawberries.

Everyone knows that cottage cheese is very useful for young growing organisms, as well as for those engaged in fitness and watching their figure.

And in combination with fresh strawberries, this product is not only useful, but also very tasty!

The advantage of the curd-strawberry dessert is that it is low-calorie and very easy to prepare.

Correctly cooked curd dessert has a homogeneous, without lumps, air structure, more reminiscent of ice cream

And therefore will have to taste even to those who do not like cottage cheese.

Today I will show 2 types of cottage cheese-sour cream dessert with strawberries, for the preparation of which we will need:

• 400 gr. Cottage cheese • 400 gr. Sour cream • 500 gr. Strawberries

• 1 tbsp. Sugar • 40 gr. Gelatin (2 tablespoons)

• 100 ml. Milk • vanillin

First you need to soak gelatin.

Pour the gelatin into the milk, mix well until the lumps dissolve and set aside for swelling.

We take the cup, in which we will mix all the products.

We spread into it cottage cheese (use cottage cheese of any fat content, though skimmed),

Add sour cream (instead of sour cream you can take not fatty yogurt or milk),

Pour out sugar (or honey at will),

And vanillin.

Then, using a submersible blender, we crush the products into a homogeneous air mass without lumps.

While we set it aside and deal with strawberries.

Separately we put aside the most beautiful strawberries for decorating the dessert, they will be needed later.

And since we will serve dessert in two different ways, then strawberries must be prepared for each of them.

For a dessert with a white base, you need a strawberry cut into 2 halves.

We cut a piece of strawberries in half,

And the rest is left as a whole, it will be needed for a "pink" dessert.

We will serve the first dessert in flat glasses on a high leg, lay the strawberry cut down to the bottom of the glass.

Meanwhile, gelatin is well-swollen, it needs to be melt to liquid state, it can be done in a microwave or in a water bath,

The main thing is not to allow the boiling gelatin, otherwise it will lose its gelling properties.

Gelatin is melted, and whilst continuing to pour, pour it in a thin trickle into the curds and sour cream mass.

A little more stir and dispense the prepared mixture into glasses.

Send the dessert with the white base in the fridge and prepare a pink dessert.

For this, we spread the strawberries into the remaining curds and sour cream mass and punch the blender to a homogeneous state.

Pour the strawberry-curd mixture into the croissants and send the dessert to the refrigerator until it is completely solidified.

After 2 hours, the dessert can be decorated and served to the table.

Decorate it with chopped nuts, grated or melted chocolate, fresh strawberries and mint leaves, all to your taste.

Here we have such a curd-cream dessert with strawberries!

You can cook it with almost any fruit and berries, both fresh and frozen, and you need to serve it chilled.

This dessert of simple and affordable products, easy to prepare, very delicate, tastes more like ice cream and just melts in your mouth.

Prepare this dessert in advance, it perfectly keeps the shape and does not melt at room temperature.

The dessert is very beautiful, spectacular, and looks great on the festive table.

I showed the feeding option in glass crochets, although it can be prepared in silicone molds of various configurations or detachable in the form of a cake.

In the summer, when the abundance of fresh fruits and berries can be cooked various delicacies, for example, here is such a dessert

Or light fruit cakes without baking, I have a recipe for this cake on the channel, I'll leave the link in the description under the video.

Cook with pleasure! I wish everyone a pleasant appetite!

If you liked this dessert - put your finger up! Share it with your friends and leave a comment!

Researchers gauge impact of "Maker" job opportunities for underserved teens - Science Nation - Duration: 3:34.

[Music] Miles O'Brien:

School's out for the day - time to earn some spending money.

But these kids aren't flipping burgers or stocking shelves.

Welcome to Baltimore's Digital Harbor Foundation Tech Center.

It's an old rec center reinvented

as a "Maker space"

- a place where kids come in their free time

to learn 3D printing, programming, design,

electronics and the like.

Amy Hurst: I come to think of the Maker movement

as an opportunity for people to engage

in real world problem solving,

and I think the things that's really exciting about this

is it's making tinkering

and learning and building cool.

[Music] Miles O'Brien:

Now, for some of the most experienced teenagers, it's a workplace,

too - a 3D print shop,

open for business and taking orders.

Amy Hurst: I think an important part of

growing up

is having some experience working

and starting to think about who you are

and who you want to be after you've finish school.

This one is 46… Miles O'Brien:

With support from the National Science Foundation,

computer scientist Amy Hurst

and her team partnered with Digital Harbor

to start the print shop.

They want to give teens after-school job opportunities

that put their Maker-honed know-how to good use.

Amy Hurst: Our goal is to understand

the impact of Maker jobs

for youth who've been through afterschool Maker programs.

Shawn Grimes: When we go to HD,

we want it to be in that first notch...

Miles O'Brien: Today, Executive Director Shawn

Grimes is training the kids on this 3D scanner.

He says they catch on quickly.

Shawn Grimes: When you start working with our youth

who have been with us for a semester or longer,

they're not really waiting for us.

We're trying to play catch-up to them

in what they're doing and they're exploring.

Miles O'Brien: Eleventh grader Jalen Crawley

is already thinking about what his STEM

and making experience here will mean for the future.

Jalen Crawley: Well, with this here,

you know, it's a really good job

because in the future 3D

printing is going to be a really big thing.

And, once people realize that it does a lot,

there's gonna be people saying, 'Well, who can,

you know, print 3D printers well?

Who can operate? Who can do maintenance and stuff.'

Instructor: Ah, you come up with as many ideas

as you can and write them on the post-it notes…

Miles O'Brien: They even have staff meetings

to brainstorm ideas

on how they can communicate more effectively,

work better together,

and learn the professional skills

that are so important for success in the workplace.

Shawn Grimes: We had a youth who got a new job,

ended up calling me the day he started in his new job

to say he wouldn't be working with us anymore.

And I was like, "I'm so happy for you,

but you should be doing two-weeks notice,'

and, he had no idea that was a thing.

Hurst says what the research team learns about effective,

Miles O'Brien: real-world design training

could be used to attract a greater diversity

of students into STEM careers.

Amy Hurst: It's really an opportunity

to combine both this technical enrichment

and the employment component for youth,

so that way, when they're finished with high school,

they have a lot of skills that they could then use

in whatever their next stage is. Miles O'Brien:

Sounds to me like a good design for the kind of tech-savvy workforce

we're going to need going forward.

Hit "print" on that.

For Science Nation,

I'm Miles O'Brien.

Air France - Our In-flight meditation sessions - Duration: 1:20.

What if this flight were to be an opportunity for a new experience…

an opportunity to come home to yourself.

More and more people in countries throughout the world

have begun to appreciate the benefits of meditation.

This  practice that is offered to you today is secular and validated by scientific research.

In fact, studies have shown that training your brain is as important as training your body.

It allows you to access a greater sense of  balance and ease no matter what is happening in your life.

Air travel can be occasion to take time for yourself

so why not practice being truly here, right now.

Meditation will be your guide.

There are two sets of practices :

one for adults designed by Cristophe Andre author of Looking at mindfulness

and the other for children, designed by Eline Snell, the author of the children's book Sitting still like a frog.

Each is composed of guided meditations specifically adapted for air travel.

Allow these practices offered by Air France and the Mind Application

to be your guide to the present moment.

Have a nice flight… and Enjoy!

VILLAGE AVENTURIA | Éric from Saint-Jules in Chaudière-Appalaches - Duration: 1:52.

[Zip line sound]

The highlight of the site remains and will always remain the zip line.

So, to see children stepping into the void.

For parents, it is something incredible. They see them, they take videos.

The emotion... They will feel it. The pride of pushing one's limits

and overcoming one's fears !

My name is Éric Poulain. I am director general at Village Aventuria.

We're a family theme park with characters.

When they arrive, there are organized activities for children which are led by characters.

They find magic. We're almost unique in Quebec.

There are people who come from everywhere to see this park.

So we started with the beauty of the site

to create a mini Walt Disney, as you might say.

What we wanted to do with the characters. It was to pick several children's traits.

We have Achilles with whom children love to fight with swords.

While Flora, the princess, girls really enjoy going to her village.

While the child who likes to seek

will love to go into the Labyrinth with Isha, the riddles...

Everyone finds something to do!

Here, it's a small community that is tightly woven.

Beaucerons are like that. It is a region of dynamic entrepreneurs.

They are people who have stories to tell and when they believe in a project: they contribute.

So, we are passionate and we are proud to make discover our roots to the tourists.

While you are in the heart of Chaudière-Appalaches.

There are, of course, other beautiful places to visit.

At Miller Zoo, it's time to take a break,

to go see the animals and live the proximity with the animals.

We also have campgrounds: La Vallée Beauceronne,

La Roche d'Or at Notre Dame des Pins.

They are very affordable campings, family friendly,

with beautiful attractions, and activities to do. They are, without a doubt, places to visit!

When this rain falls on my head

I'll get all wet even my heart

Stay with me I still can't be In the rain alone without you

I'm still young, I'm still a bit scared

Though I know it'll stop soon

I'm looking for you

Will it stop now? These raindrops, these tears?

I don't want to get wet with rain And tremble with cold Some day, the cold rain

Some day, the cold rain Will become warm tears

And fall down, It's alright It's just a passing downpour

It's just a passing downpour

It's how I feel

After I met you, I haven't lost The happy memories to the rain

When the rain stops Let's meet again

We will smile again and be together

Will it stop now? These raindrops, these tears? I don't want to get wet with rain

And tremble with cold Some day

the cold rain Will become warm tears

And fall down, It's alright It's just a passing downpour

Taking Chances - From Spark to Fiction - Duration: 3:16.

- The creative spark that eventually became Taking Chances

was born during an afternoon walk with my friend Jan,

while describing a novel I'd been reading.

Although the book was well-written,

I was on a rant because I would not believe

in the romantic premise.

The heroine had been kidnapped

by the hero for reasons I found ridiculous,

and I couldn't believe any reasonable woman

would have fallen in love with this arrogant jerk.

Hero kidnaps heroine was a premise I'd seen a few times,

and never convincingly.

At some point in this conversation, I said,

"I should write a book where the heroine kidnaps the hero."

I wasn't serious at the time, but the idea kept niggling

at the back of my mind in the weeks that followed.

My husband Brian and I were just embarking on a cruise

from Canada's Pacific Northwest coast to the Mexican Baja.

As we cruised south, I made notes about a possible plot

for Kidnapped, the working title.

I wanted a psychologically believable scenario

with characters I liked, and believable conflict.

I worked on backstory, characterization,

and motivation for my hero and heroine.

The story involved an isolated family logging operation

in the Pacific Northwest, and around the time we sailed

out Juan de Fuca Sound and the open Pacific,

I moved the story, working title Kidnap,

from the Books folder on my computer to the Ideas folder.

This is a place where I store my don't-want-to-let-go-of it

but can't make it work projects.

The thing just wouldn't come alive for me.

We ran into a frightening storm off the Oregon coast

and that sparked my novel Wild Passage.

I forgot about Kidnap and started writing Wild Passage.

When I finished Wild Passage, I knew

that I had to write a story about Zeb, the hero's brother.

He was so perfectly controlled I needed

to give him a woman to shake him up.

A few weeks later Brian and I were swimming in the pool

at the San Diego Yacht Club.

It was at night and we could see the lights

of the marina and the harbor reflected off the water,

the water glistening in those lights,

and we were alone in this amazing swimming complex.

It was like wow, millionaires are us. (laughs)

I climbed out of the pool and went into the hot tub,

and sitting there, I knew exactly what to do.

It just suddenly came to me.

Scraps of the plot from my abortive Kidnap

grows up and tangled in my mind with the very-reliable Zeb

from Wild Passage, the hero's brother.

And, oh, did I have a heroine for Zeb.

And a kidnap story!

Sort of.

Happiness Is A Process Not An Achievement - Duration: 5:17.

How's it going everyone I'm dono and this is how to happy.

In this video we're going to be talking about being happier instead of trying to be happy.

So you may have heard the phrase I'll be happy as soon as this thing happens or I'll be happy

when la de da de da.

Then that makes happiness come across as some kind of binary state right we're either happy

or we're unhappy and for a lot of people we're looking for this future event or some kind

of thing and we say to ourselves I'll be happy when I reach this milestone or whatever it

is.

But the problem is you reach that milestone or whatever you're looking forward to and

yes you are happy for a while or what you feel is happy for a while but then it kind

of wears off and you're looking for the next milestone to hit and then go back into - ok

I'll be happy as soon as I do this, because a lot of times the milestone isn't necessarily

as different as expected to be because in our day to day experiences we're not taking

the time or we don't have the tools to be happy.

So instead of thinking about happiness in terms of just one destination it's a lot more

helpful to think about it as an ongoing process and going along with that instead of being

a destination and with it being a process it's something that you work at a little bit

every day.

Now this does a couple things for you.

1.

It's going to make being a little bit happier and happiness more approachable.

When you see and think about every single day okay what can I do today that will make

me a little happier.

What can I do tomorrow that will make me a little happier.

You don't have this really strong burden of the binary on-off happiness type switch which

doesn't really exist, right.

Happiness is more along a spectrum it's not that you're happy or unhappy there's differing

degrees of emotionality that are connected to happiness.

In addition when we look at happiness as a process it's something that we can continually

work on right.

Even when you get into those on states of happiness you're probably not actually optimal

right if you're thinking about it as a binary switch but when you're thinking about it as

a process where you work on being a little happier each day then you can continue working

at these things.

That's going to take away kind of that feeling of oh I'm unhappy today what's wrong with

me why aren't things going well.

No.

It's because it's not a binary switch, it's a continuum so life ebbs and flows there's

going to be days where we're happy or unhappy but hopefully over time the graph looks something

like this and it's trending upward as we learn more tools and more ways to control our environment

and to influence our happiness.

Now another thing that switching your thinking from a destination to a process is going to

do is that when make mistakes or when you're having a bad day you're not going to be looking

at happiness in a binary way and think oh man I'm not happy today so I must have failed.

When you reach those milestones and they're not what you think and you get disappointed

again then you're not going to beat yourself up even more because you can look at it and

say okay what thing can I do today to be a little happier and just keep working on that

way.

That way you're not going to ever run into these really big gaps where you, you know

you've gotten everything you've ever wanted or everything you thought you wanted and you

still don't feel happy.

So in summary, thinking that we can just be in this constant on state of happiness doesn't

really make sense, it's not really a place that we get to and achieve, there's too many

things that happen in like and cause bumps and change things up.

So if I can get anything across and I've probably repeated a thousand times already in this

short video but if you can just switch from thinking about happiness as a destination

to a process where every day you look for things that will make you a little happier

and guide you toward more happiness that's going to be a much more realistic and helpful

framework that allows you to continue working on your happiness regardless of what happens.

Then as you build up these habits over time you're going to find yourself getting happier

and happier and being able to deal with some of the drops a little bit better.

That being said let's move on to the exercise section.

What is one thing you can change in your life today to be a little happier?

So that's all I've got, like I said try to find one thing that you can do today that's

going to make you a little happier whether it's a little happier today or a little happier

tomorrow.

Just one little thing that you can work on that's actionable that can get you started

in the right direction.

As always if you have any questions, comments, topics you want me to cover put them down
