Today, I will be show you the recipe for Afghan Pulao Masala
I have been asked about this a lot so I hope it helps
You will need the following ingredients:
Cumin Seed (120 G)
Black Cardamom (20 G)
Cloves (20 G)
Black Pepper (20 G)
Cinnamon Sticks ( 20G)
Green Cardamom (25 G)
If you want to prepare larger quantity, just double or triple your ingredients portions
If you want to measure using spoons, You can use a table spoon and a tea spoon for measurements
A table spoon holds about 10 MG of the spice
A tea spoon holds about 5 MG of spice
I will grind the cumin first.
I am using a table-spoon or I will add several spoons of cumin
I will grind about 10 Tbsp of Cumin, 5 Tbs each time
For Pulao Masala, Cumin is the biggest part of the mix and forms the base
Black Pepper (2 Tbsp)
Cinnamon Sticks (2 Tbsp or 20 G)
I will use my fingers to measure
This is about 2 Tbsp of Cinnamon sticks
Cloves (20 G or 2 Tbsp)
I use a Mortar and Pestle to prepare the Black cardamom for grinding.
I crush the Black Cardamom for a few minutes.
Green Cardamom gives a nice aroma to the spices.
Green Cardamom (25 MG)
Now, its time to mix the ingredients together.
This the final version of the Pulao Masala.
