VLOG | Londres jours 3 & 4 : ça va mieux ! - Duration: 12:14.

Hi!

Today is... Wednesday

the weather is still amazing

even if I believe it's not gonna stay this way,

it still gonna be hot outhere

so that's not a problem

I decided that today is going to be better than yesterday

because yesterday was already better than the day before

so it can only go up

Now I'm waiting for a train to go in the center of London

because I'm going to visit the National Portrait Gallery

because why not

It's harder for me to explore the city by myself

than going to the museum

so I thought "let's go"

and for the rest of the day, I will see

regarding the time, I may go to St Paul's Cathedral,

go shopping or take a cruise on the Thames

I don"t know yet, we'll see

but I'm going to be more positive today

because this trip was not cheap

and I don't want to spend my week crying

I'm on my way to take a cruise on the Thames

because it's extremely hot

and look how cute is this little park

so nice!

I don't assume vlogging in public...

so, update of the day!

Better than yesterday and the day before, so I hope less well than tomorrow

I was less depressed, so that's good

As I said I went to the...

National Gallery...

...

National Portrait Gallery!

I'm so tired...

So, this morning I went to the National Portrait Gallery

wich was really nice, really beautiful

even just for the place, it's so pretty

there are tones and tones of portraits

so this was cool, after that I ate Italian

Then I went to do a cruise on the Thames

it was from Westminster to Greenwich

where I still am

I went... F***

too many birds here...

I went into a coffee shop

to rest a bit

and write, I write a lot since I'm here

it's therapeutic, it makes me feel better

I bought a sandwich and I'm about to eat,

I'm in Greenwich Park

so I'm gonna eat and then head back to the hostel

And tomorrow, as I was sick of doing things alone,

not talking or anything,

I booked a tour on AirBnb

they offer some things like that so I booked one

I meet them at 10.30am

on the other side of London, near Paddington

and it lasts 6 hours

so 6 hours where I'll be occuped

and it will be good for me!

Well, I think it's the time of the day where I talk to you

but it's already 6pm

I filmed, I didn't talk like that in front of the camera

So yesterday, I had enough time on my own

so I booked a tour of London

It was kind of a safari

around unknown things

or untouristic things

it was a 6 hours tour

and it was really nice, we saw a lot of places

We started from Paddington

we stayed in the neighborhooh, then...

we saw Pekham, we saw...

we saw a lot of places,

I'll put the names with the footages

but it was really nice, we had a drink at The Mayflower Pub

on the banks of the Thames

where I still am

So it was a very good day!

I was good to talk to someone

and not just to order some food

and to see some places, to learn some facts

to walk, to be with... Because the guy is an expat

so to be with an expat

was very interesting

because he kind of re motivated me to move

So I imagine that this week

will be quite intense, well, it already is, it's thursday...

Thurdsay ?

So it already has been very intense and complex

so I think I will need some time to

to process and digest everything

So now I'm gonna walk a little, I'm still near the Mayflower

I'm gonna walk and I think I'm going to have dinner

and go back to the hotel

and see what I want to do tomorrow

To the hotel... I'm so lost

To the hostel

Look how beautiful it is!

It's so quite!

Because we are not in the center of London

So here you have The Shard,

here you have the City,

somewhere out of sight is the London Eye

Overthere is the North bank

and the center of London

so when you pass the Tower Bridge,

there is nobody

Tourists don't go that far, even if

you have a very nice walk here

It's named Thames walk I believe, something like that

and it really looks like the beach

with the sound of the Thames

you feel like you're near the sea

and look at all of thoses flats here

it's so quite

I don't know why,

but what always makes me realise that I'm in London,

it's not the red buses, or the London Eye

but the City and The Gherkin

this big suppository in the middle

I don't know why but every time I see it,

I think "OMFG I'm in London"

It hits me everytime

GOD IS A WOMAN - ARIANA GRANDE (VMAs 2018) |REACTION| (english subtitles) - Duration: 5:17.

Today I'm gonna an other reaction

I'm gonna do some reactions to the MTV VMAs that took place yesterday in New York City

It's the main ceremony of the end of the summer, so that's why I decided to react to some of the performances

So I'm about to react to Ariana Grande's performance of God is a Woman for the first time

I really liked the song and I've already seen the music video

I really wanna see what she did, especially because the VMAs really like what's "controversial" or scandalous...

So I don't know if it's gonna be controversial or not, I can't wait to see it

Let's go !

What's going on ? I saw on twitter that she hired 50 dancers for this

Ok that looks religious

That looks like the music video

Ohhh it represents the Lord's supper but only with women !!

She doesn't have a ponytail ahah. It's beautiful but nothing's really happening...

What I really like is the diversity

I don't know why but it reminds me of Beyoncé and her style

It's beautiful. I think it reminds me of Beyoncé because of the synchronized choreo with a lot of women

Beyoncé didn't invent it but it reminds me of her music videos and stuff. It's really her style

It reminds me of Dua Lipa too, with her well-known music video New Rules

Nothing's really happening but it's really aesthetic, it's gorgeous !

What I like is the idea of presenting diverse type of women dancing together, that's really stunning

wooow the scene is huge ! Is that a screen? Where was it in New York City ?

Have you seen how huge is the screen?

I'm not even surprise how she can reach easily those high notes

What I love about this song is that it doesn't sound like her other songs in general

The scene is incredible ! I think we can see the all-seeing eye behind her, it's the symbol of God

Wow that's really impressive !!

The stage is so huge, is that in an opera ahah ?

Ohh that's her mother and her nonna ! I don't know who the other girl is

It looks like Beyoncé, really feminist !

It was really pleasant to watch

So cuuute ! I wish my grandma could come with me on stage when I'll be a star ahah

What I thought of this performance : it was really really beautiful but nothing really happening... Will I remember it ? Mmmmhh I don't think so :(

It's really following the trend

With this performance, I couldn't expect less than a religious theme with a lot of women dancing on stage, so that's dope

It's visually stunning. I think that the VMAs really like to match the performances with the music videos

She didn't take too much risk, but what made me smile is her family coming on stage at the end. It's cute but so American ahah (really theatrical)

Can you tell me who is the woman with the green dress in the comments?

I really saw the actual trend to show a wide diversity of women together with different skin tone

And the first time I saw a lot of women synchronizing their moves like this (in the pop culture) was in Beyoncé's formation video. The women were mainly afro-american

So yeah it was cool and beautiful, but nothing really special

If I had to give a mark to this performance (like in DWTS ahah) I would give a 7.5 out of 10

And I didn't mention her incredible voice, she's always killing it ! Even though I didn't watch all of her performances

She's not out of breath, she can easily reach these high notes !

I hope you've liked this reaction, I'm gonna post other ones in the next days ! See you ! Peace !

Red Nugget Galaxies: The Universe's Ultimate Survivors - Duration: 6:19.

SciShow Space is supported by Brilliant.org.

[ ♪ Intro ]

It might not always seem like it, but there's a lot going on around us in the universe.

Stars are forming, planets are being born, galaxies are being ripped apart.

You name it, and it's probably happening somewhere.

But in the middle of all this action lie ancient relics of a universe long gone.

They are red nuggets, and they're galaxies that have done the seemingly-impossible:

survived billions of years of cosmic evolution without a scratch.

Finding one is like discovering a message in a bottle:

a time capsule from the early universe, delivered to our doorstep.

They get their name because they're as valuable as gold but red in color.

And if we can understand their secrets, they have a lot to teach us.

Astronomers today recognize two main types of galaxies: spiral and elliptical.

Spiral galaxies are probably what popped into your mind when we started talking about galaxies.

They're pretty flat, with long, sweeping arms, like the Milky Way.

They're also full of younger, hotter stars, so their light tends to be relatively blue.

Elliptical galaxies, on the other hand, are full of older stars, so they tend to be redder and cooler.

They're also much less ordered than spirals, with blobby, uniform shapes.

Astronomers have spent much of the last century trying to sort out how galaxies end up in these two basic categories.

It's now generally accepted that spirals form first and then ellipticals are born

from the collision of two or more galaxies.

This helps explain why spirals are full of younger stars and ellipticals older ones.

It also makes sense why the collision-born elliptical galaxies are so messy in appearance.

But with all this stuff smashing together, it's hard to know how the lives of galaxies are "supposed" to play out, in a sense.

If the universe were really a more peaceful place, what would things look like?

That's where the red nuggets come in.

These objects were first detected by the Hubble Space Telescope in 2005,

and in 2013, astronomers found more of them much closer to home.

Like, only a few hundred million light-years away, versus billions.

These galaxies are both massive and compact, meaning they have a lot of stuff inside them

but they don't take up much space.

Some can have more mass than ten Milky Ways, but also be ten times smaller than our galaxy.

But what's arguably even cooler about red nuggets is that, from what we can tell,

they appear to be the ancient remnants of the first generation of elliptical galaxies.

Also they're not just ancient: Those nearby red nuggets specifically also appear to have avoided collisions since their formation,

some for more than ten billion years.

I mean they've been drifting alone through space for longer than we can really wrap our heads around.

Scientists are still trying to piece together what all of this can teach us about modern galaxies, especially the elliptical ones.

But for now, there is one red nugget mystery we think we've already solved.

See, one thing that's really notable about these objects in general is how dead they are.

Astronomers call a galaxy dead if it's stopped forming new stars, and from what we can tell,

even the youngest red nuggets don't seem to be making anything new.

In fact, that's why astronomers call them red nuggets.

Without any new, blue stars to balance things out, the galaxy gets redder and redder as everything ages.

The good news is, a clue as to why may be hiding in plain sight: an overactive supermassive black hole.

Scientists believe all galaxies may have supermassive black holes at their centers like ours does.

The one the Milky Way hosts weighs in at four million times the mass of the Sun,

which is kind of a lot.

But some of the largest black holes we've ever seen are at the center of red nuggets.

The biggest are more than a thousand times more massive than the one in our galaxy.

So it could be a simple explanation:

The huge black holes are swallowing up all the material that otherwise would create new stars!

Well, not really that simple.

NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory has shown a bunch of extra heat at the center of one nearby red nugget,

heat which probably comes from the black hole.

The heat would've made gas in the galaxy too hot to easily collapse down and form new stars,

a process astronomers call quenching.

Then, over time, that gas could've fallen into the black hole, growing it to such massive proportions.

This process isn't unique to red nuggets,

but they do prove it's a mechanism that can work even after billions of years of isolationfrom the rest of the universe.

And the fact that we can figure that out at all is pretty impressive.

Now, we just need to investigate other mysteries,

like what these ancient galaxies can tell us about the formation of the modern, massive elliptical galaxies.

But, right now, it's okay just to stop and be amazed.

It's a violent universe out there, and we've finally started to find the ultimate survivors.

And speaking of finding things, scientists make all these discoveries using the scientific method.

And you can learn all about that at Brilliant.org.

I've talked a little before about The Scientific Process course on Brilliant

and how it walks you through the process of making observations and hypotheses.

Well, once you've made those observations, asked questions, and hypothesized,

as a scientist you need an experiment to investigate your hypothesis further.

And a lot of careful thought needs to go into designing an experiment.

In this quiz, Experimental Design, you need to think through what questions you're trying to answer.

You need to consider controls and variables,

and at some point, you'll probably need to reconsider your original question.

It's an entertaining and helpful way to more deeply understand the scientific process.

The world is complex and one thing I like about Brilliant is that their lessons don't shy away from that,

but they do keep it fun.

And right now, Brilliant is offering 20% off of their annual premium subscription

to the first 200 SciShow Space viewers to sign up at brilliant.org/scishowspace.

So check it out.

And if you take the experimental design quiz, let me know how you do in the comments!

Like good scientists, we can compare our results!

Majestic 12: The Godfathers of UFO Cover Ups - Duration: 14:51.

Has there been a secret government organization named Majestic 12

covering up the truth about extraterrestrials and UFOs for decades?

if so how did they come to be and who's involved?

Are the documents that leaked about this group legitimate?

and what do they tell us about extraterrestrials

do we now have evidence of how John F Kennedy was really assassinated

time to take this topic to the edge of wonder

and here they are your hosts Ben Bluebook and Rob Roswell

Welcome to Edge of Wonder, I'm your host Ben,

and I'm Rob.

Have you ever wondered where X-Files, Men in Black, Close Encounters of the Third Kind

Dark skies, and a slew of other sci-fi movies got a lot of their ideas from?

the truth may be stranger than fiction.

Wait, I'm gonna stop us right there.

1947 and 1952 was a hot time for UFO-related sightings and crashes

Top-secret documents state that over 16 crashes were recovered

where a whopping 65 E.T. bodies were reportedly recovered in these crashes.

So everyone knows about the Roswell crash that happened in July of 1947,

but what people don't know is that there is even a more massive and secretive crash

that took place in Aztec, New Mexico on March 28th, 1948.

There's even a plaque at the location where it supposedly happened.

It is said that the security recovery operation was led by the Air Force and 5th Army Division.

They removed a craft that was over 100 feet in diameter and 18 feet tall.

The craft had 17 alien dead bodies,

but this isn't what freaked everyone out.

UFO researchers and insiders said that they also removed

a large amount of random human body parts.

Holy...

That would freak anyone out.

So the Aztec crash remains one of the most top secret guarded topics in the history of the US.

But think about it,

pressure from the public would definitely demand answers,

and wouldn't the public freak out if they knew

an elite group of people decided that

they needed something to handle all of these situations.

Something that could operate in the shadows without oversight.

Something that could make decisions without asking approval from even the President.

Something that would eventually become the greatest threat our country might have ever seen.

Thus the Majestic 12, or MJ-12, was born.

So stay tuned to hear how the NSA, the CIA, and the MJ-12 were all created.

So one day in 1984, Hollywood producer and filmmaker,

Jaime Shandera,

received a package without a return address.

All there was inside was a roll of 35 millimeter undeveloped film.

When Shandera developed it, he realized it contained

8 pages of an alleged briefing paper, dated November 18th, 1952,

in which Vice Admiral Roscoe Hillenkoetter,

sorry if I butchered that,

told President-elect Dwight Eisenhower of the recovery of remains of two crashed spaceships.

So these documents say a lot,

but it mentions that these crafts do not originate from Earth.

It even mentions Mars being a possibility

or another system altogether.

Which, if you haven't watched our show on Mars, could actually be true.

So, anyway, it goes on to say

that the object recovered at Roswell had writing and patterns they have never seen before,

and most importantly, they described that it doesn't have any wings, propellers,

any other conventional methods of propulsion and guidance,

as well as a lack of metallic wiring electronic components.

It states specifically that on July 7th, 1947,

a secret operation began to assure the recovery of the wreckage

and the civilian and military witnesses were debriefed

and reporters were told that it was-

a weather balloon.

Haven't heard that one before!

But on July 8th, one newspaper printed this story of it being a UFO

after arriving on the scene when it happened and even getting photos of the officers,

who were probably not briefed yet.

So you can find these documents on the FBI website.

However, they just have the words 'bogus' written on it with big letters,

just to let everyone know that writing something in big letters must mean it's fake.

well apparently the FBI thought this tactic would work as well

and if you look at it on Fakeapedia,

Fakeapedia!

it also says, of course, it's fake, so it must be.

Then it must be fake.

Ok so, how did mj-12 actually form?

Well, since the military and President Truman were trying to figure out how to keep all of this

from getting out to the public and exposed,

On September 24th 1947, he passed one of the most important and scariest pieces of legislation:

the National Security Act.

So, as if you guys haven't already guessed,

Truman signed this executive order which gave rise to the CIA, the NSA,

and soon to be, the Majestic 12

Now on the surface, what we know is that this was the start of the Cold War

and security became a major concern.

So it was thought that if they organized what was the Central Intelligence Group,

then they can protect the country better against foreign threats

However, this only made it easier for them to work in the shadows,

monitor, and gather intelligence from covert activities from either home or abroad.

So many insiders say that the real reason

that this was all set up

was to make it a lot easier for the government to cover-up and control the "alien secret"

and that it was one of the biggest secrets still guarded today.

So from this moment on, the official stance of the U.S. government

is that UFO and aliens definitely do not exist,

and that anyone who says they do are probably crazy.

So Rob, I guess I would be included in that book as being crazy

since I mean, I was just at the Contact in the Desert

and I actually saw a UFO.

Which actually means, you just made the title of that conference literal.

And we can now market it as 'Make Contact in the Desert with Ben'.

Well, wait 'till we start talking about that document that leaked about MJ-12

and how they handle people talking about UFOs.

You're actually not wrong about how they treat you.

Yeah, so you guys got to keep watching to hear about this crazy document.

Okay, so back to our story.

During this time, a lot of secret memos and documents

started to be passed around by President Truman and various high-level top officials,

which finally set the stage for creating the Majestic 12.

So the Secretary of Defense, James Forrestal,

teamed up with Dr. Vannevar Bush,

who, by the way, was also in charge of the Manhattan Project

which created the atomic bomb.

So they got together with 10 other high-ranking military officials

to take control of all extraterrestrial contact.

I read the whole document, Ben,

Yeah.

and at first I was like, well is this document real?

Is it not?

But as I kept reading it, I was like astounded

by the level of detail that this thing went into.

I mean, it's literally the instruction guide book on how to handle it

if an alien craft lands or comes down, right?

Right.

They're talking about what the extraterrestrials look like,

what materials they've used, or that they found on these ships.

And the scariest part that I found

was what to do about people in order to keep everything secret.

I mean, it was like, it was like-

Basically like, use any means-

any means necessary.

And you don't even have to contact the President,

like, 'Is it okay if we do this?'

it's like, you have total clearance to do whatever you want.

Yeah.

So, let's get back to our story now,

with more of like, MJ-12 coming back into this.

So, so coming into this,

actually, and I think this goes along with why these documents were released,

there is actually a faction that started to develop within the group.

A "positive faction".

Yeah, yeah so James Forrestal was a very idealistic and a religious man

and he didn't want to have all the secrecy

about these UFOs and aliens and thought,

Hey, you know, the public should know about this.

I mean, this is some crazy stuff we're dealing with

and maybe the public should know.

So he began to talk to other like-

you know, other people within the group and whatnot

and soon President Truman found out,

and basically, he was forced to resign.

He's like,

Look, you're gonna resign, this can't happen.

So, anyway, so Forrestal was eventually placed in a mental institute

and he was deemed crazy because he kept talking about aliens.

It was like, again,

This guy's crazy, he's talking about aliens. We've got to send him to the hospital.

And eventually he "killed himself"

by tying a sheet around his neck and jumping out a window

and supposedly even writing a suicide-

Right.

-note.

Right, and so his buddies in this faction were talking about-

They find broken glass inside his room, which suggests a struggle,

and they think and probably believe, then, that his suicide note was forged.

Right, and so he actually becomes what is known as the first person-

The first cover-up.

Death cover-up of the whole "alien...."

Right, right.

Um, secrecy.

So Ben, let's get into where President Eisenhower comes into this.

Right.

So in 1953, Dwight Eisenhower becomes President and takes office.

Soon, he's on an aircraft carrier and actually sees a UFO

and starts demanding 'What is going on?'

and sends a letter to MJ-12 saying like,

'What are you guys doing?'

So he demands everything that they're doing and of course, they refused.

So, he sends his own military over there,

and what did you say the military was again?

It was the first army.

Which is like, you know, these were like, at the time especially,

these were like the boss army, right?

So he sends these guys over there

and finally they're like, okay, okay fine, you know,

We'l release some stuff to you, whatever.

We sped that whole part up. It took a little more time

for Eisenhower to get angry and to send the army over.

Yeah, to Area 51.

In February 1954,

President Eisenhower interrupts his vacation in Palm Springs, California

to make a secret trip to a nearby Air Force Base

to meet two extraterrestrial aliens

or as it said in the media,

he went on an emergency dentist trip.

Had to get those molars fixed, I guess.

It was here that Eisenhower reportedly signed a treaty with these extraterrestrials,

or got a tooth filling.

It is now generally believed that he was forced into this,

however and then regretted it his entire life.

So Laura Eisenhower, who's actually becoming a really good friend of ours,

Hi Laura!

So, she talks about this at quite a good length in our last video interview

that we did with her

Yeah, yeah. Actually, if you haven't checked it out,

we did one interview with her and we have another one from Contact in the Desert

and she basically talks about how she's felt guilty about how she thought about him, you know...

You could say that one of his biggest mistakes wasn't actually signing the treaty,

but it was asking Nelson Rockefeller for help with this alien issue.

Because of this, Nelson was able to be very influential

and got so much power that he almost became more powerful than the President.

So really, in a way, he had no choice but to sign this treaty

if this was the way it actually went down,

because he wanted to release all of this to the public

when he found out that these aliens deceived the U.S.

But by this time, MJ-12 was becoming so powerful

that even the President of the U.S.

really couldn't do anything about it.

So, supposedly, this treaty was that they can only work with the U.S.,

abduct some people, but they had to bring them back,

they couldn't harm them or do anything with that- with those people,

and they couldn't do anything else with any other country.

Very soon they found out that, well, this wasn't happening,

people weren't being returned, and they started finding out there they were making deals

with Russia, and China,

and all kinds of things.

So, now this brings up the whole other issue with President John F. Kennedy.

So, stay tuned if you want to find out what might have actually happened to John F. Kennedy.

You could stay tuned or we could tell you right now.

Let's tell you right now.

So, John F Kennedy, after he became president,

he started getting also involved with this Majestic 12,

figuring out what was going on and supposedly,

Now, it's hard to find that this document exists,

but supposedly he wrote a document to MJ-12

stating everything that they've been doing,

what is going on, where their funding is going- coming from,

and that if they don't respond to him, he's going to expose them.

This is where this really interesting document comes in.

So we'll just show-

We'll show you a less lame image of this.

Okay.

it is in rough shape, let's put it that way.

So this- well, this is like a print out copy,

but anyway so there's a burned copy that was found and it's titled:

Top-Secret MJ-12.

The interesting thing is it says:

Director of Central Intelligence (MJ-1)

So that's Allen Dulles.

Before we talk about this document,

you have to understand that John F. Kennedy had a code name.

And that code name was Lancer.

Lancer was his code name.

And this document goes on to basically say that

Lancer is asking too many questions, right?

Exactly, exactly.

and they're like, what should we do to handle this situation?

So, the problem is that there's no actual date on this document,

but supposedly, very soon after this document came out, he was killed.

The message that they were sending out, the MJ-12, was saying,

Hey, we just killed our president.

Yeah, anybody else want to mess with us?

We did hear some other things, like some other people saying that

Kennedy was going to release a lot of this information to Russia.

On the record, Ben and I don't think that's what happened.

Right.

I think I think Kennedy was clean, I don't think that was going on.

so where are we today let's

kind of go into what's happening today where is engaged mj-12 and what's

happening with our society right now so of course mj-12 probably is no longer

called this I mean anything that's to make a long story short gathers in the

name probably change yeah the reason why I believe that most likely that these

are real there's a lot of people that are involved with the government like

the this side of the government that want the public they want disclosure so

they are sending out things and then you have the other side who is trying to

cover this up so I think right now where we are is that there is a division of

the two sides yeah it actually exists didn't go away and now like you have the

side that's what they're calling the Alliance yeah

which is releasing more information and trying to get the public and get

technology into people's hands like what Emory Smith is exactly okay that ends

our edge of wonder episode on mj-12 let us know what you guys think yeah

definitely and until next time we will see you out on the edge

you

Busy Philipps posted a picture in her workout gear, standing on a trampoline, on Tuesday, and while the response to her post was mostly positive, she did have to deal with one internet troll in particular.

Here's how it all went down: The actress took part in The Awesome Challenge, sharing a picture of herself doing something that makes her feel awesome.

"Today is #TheAwesomeChallenge and my workout every morning makes me feel awesome(even on the days when I'd rather stay in bed, like today)," she captioned the photo.

Philipps shared the selfie a couple of hours ago, but one Instagram user decided to take the positivity right out of the post and fat-shame Philipps.

The actress was quick to fire back.

"Ugh, you're (sic) rolls are showing," the Instagram user wrote.

"I feel like a man of your age should know the difference between YOUR and YOU'RE.

YOUR is POSSESSIVE, as in "YOUR rolls are showing." (Get it? The rolls BELONG to me).

YOU'RE is an abbreviation for YOU ARE, as in YOU'RE CLEARLY AN A**HOLE BODYSHAMING LOSER," Philipps replied.

You can see the photo below.

Several other Instagram users commented on the picture, many having Philipps' back.

"Ughhhh, your lack of education is showing (see Busy's reply for a quick grammar lesson) and btw f you for being such a rude loser – she looks awesome and you'd be so lucky to ever meet someone like her," wrote one of Philipps' fans.

"That was the best comeback EVER! You're perfect! Go girl go," wrote another.

沙琪玛 Saqima (Syrup and Egg Noodle Cake) - Duration: 5:54.

Hello everyone, I am Xiao Gaojie.

Saqima looks complicated, but it is not.

I will tell you a few key points, you can be successful the first try.

Dissolve baking soda in water

Baking soda can make the color of the noodles look good after frying

crack two eggs

Pour into the flour

you can take a few minutes to knead the dough till smooth

But it is easy to knead the dough, if you let it rest first

After the surface is completely smooth, rest it again for an hour.

Now let's roll it

Sprinkle with corn starch

When you are rolling, the feel is extremely smooth.

it doesn't have to be very thin, the thickness is just like the usual noodles.

Don't forget to sprinkle a layer of starch before cutting, so the noodle won't stick together

You can also roll the dough on the rolling pin and slice open on the rolling pin

it should not be cut too thick, because they will puff up a lot when fried.

Finally shake it loose

The oil temperature is 160 degrees Celsius

You can also test the oil temperature first, and the noodles will float immediately.

Don't fry too much at once. This color will be more uniform

when using eggs to make the dough, it will puffs up a lot.

The first key point is not to over fry the noodles

If they are fried for too long, it will be brittle and hard.

Not the soft taste

they look like this after fried

Let's make the syrup

Use a pot with better heat conductivity

Pour water first, then add sugar and maltose

I usually don't stir it.

After boiling, turn the heat to low

It looks like this in a few minutes.

Put your fingers in the ice water

Then try the temperature of the syrup

Look again

You see the thread

The hardness of the syrup can be felt very accurately by hand.

You can try it with chopsticks. Or use a thermometer, 110-112 degrees Celsius

Try to use a thermometer, because the temperature of this syrup rises very fast.

Pour the syrup in three portions and stir.

Have you noticed that this temperature is very similar to the temperature of the invert syrup?

So without maltose, you can also use invert syrup to make it.

The second point is that you don't need to stir to prevent re-crystallization.

And must not over cook the syrup

The third point is that the syrup on each noodle should not be too thick.

This way it won't stick to the teeth

Pour into the mold

press down with your hands

Slightly cool, cut it in the mold so that it won't fall apart

After completely cooled, eat the next day

The next day, you can see that a part of the syrup has been absorbed by the fried egg noodles.

There is only a thin layer on the surface, it will not stick to the teeth at all.

With a bite, you can see the internal structure of egg noodles very crumbly and soft.

I am Xiao Gaojie, thank you for watching, we will see you next time :)

Any given game I'm gonna go ahead and make this video for my week 1 NFL predicted game winners without any point spreads or anything

Involved. I already have my week 1 NFL game picks up here for those of you who like to wager on your games

So if you look here in my channel

You'll see in my other week one video where I predict my winners for a week one taking the point spreads into consideration

So you'll find that video here also, but what I want to do right now real quickly

Like I say for everybody who just is interested in who I think will win each given game this week one at the NFL season

I'm gonna go ahead and give you those picks right now

Alright, so it all starts as you know, it all begins for you on Thursday night September the 6th in that game

I'm picking it. Excuse me. I'm picking Philadelphia over Atlanta on the Thursday night game now. We're gonna jump to Sunday real quick

These are all my predicted straight up game winners for Sunday

Pittsburgh over Cleveland, we're gonna have Minnesota and what might be a very tight ballgame

But I'm gonna go ahead with Minnesota over San Francisco

Indianapolis over Cincinnati again, this game might be a little close to that people might think but I'm going to go with Indianapolis over Cincinnati

Baltimore over Buffalo buffalo is a tough team

But Baltimore at home, you have to give the edge to the mayor. So I'm gonna take Baltimore over Buffalo

Jacksonville over the New York Giants, I believe this game is apt, New York

But in this case, I still think Jacksonville is just a much better ballclub

So I'm going with Jacksonville over the Giants New Orleans over Tampa Bay

We're looking at New England over Houston again. This could also be a tough game

You know, I'm not really 100% sure what to expect out of either team this year

I'm gonna stick with New England at home in this game over Houston

Tennessee over Miami I believe that game is at Miami, but I do think Tennessee wins this ballgame the charges over, Kansas City

I'm looking for a Denver over Seattle

Yeah, Seattle could win this ballgame, but Denver will be at home

And I think in this case, they're gonna get off to a good start this season

So I'm gonna take Denver at home in Seattle at this game

Carolina over Dallas might be the game of the week actually

But I do think that in this particular case Carolina's playing at home

Also looking to get off to a good start after the way they faltered the last couple of seasons

So I'm gonna stick with Caroline. They're at home in this game over Dallas

Washington over Arizona, the game I believe is also in Arizona like you like the Redskins in this game and

Wrapping up Sunday's portion of the week one. It's going to be Green Bay over Chicago now. We also have to

Monday night games coming up on September the

10th and they in my picks Detroit over the Jets and

Well, some of these may not just be in the imagination of the writers

and sometimes, as we found out,

the truth may be stranger than fiction.

Wait, I'm gonna stop us right there.

Don't forget to hit like and subscribe

and hit those notifications bells at the top

so that you can get Edge of Wonder content every week when it comes in.

Right.

I think I think Kennedy was clean, I don't think that was going on.

so where are we today let's

kind of go into what's happening today where is engaged mj-12 and what's

happening with our society right now so of course mj-12 probably is no longer

called this I mean anything that's to make a long story short gathers in the

name probably change yeah the reason why I believe that most likely that these

are real there's a lot of people that are involved with the government like

the this side of the government that want the public they want disclosure so

they are sending out things and then you have the other side who is trying to

cover this up so I think right now where we are is that there is a division of

the two sides yeah it actually exists didn't go away and now like you have the

side that's what they're calling the Alliance yeah

which is releasing more information and trying to get the public and get

technology into people's hands like what Emory Smith is exactly okay that ends

our edge of wonder episode on mj-12 let us know what you guys think yeah

definitely and until next time we will see you out on the edge

you

Advertising Is Obsolete – Here's Why It's Time to End It | Heavy.com - Duration: 12:09.

Advertising Is Obsolete – Here's Why It's Time to End It | Heavy.com

A general view of digital billboards during the 24th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards pre-show viewing in Times Square on January 21, 2018 in New York City.

Since it first became clear that Russian agents spent thousands of dollars a month on political advertising on social media in the runup to the 2016 presidential election, Americans have been asking how the powerful advertising infrastructure run by Google and Facebook could have been thrown open to foreign agents.

But fewer have stopped to ask whether there is a good reason for this infrastructure to exist at all.

Why, exactly, is it a good thing for Facebook and Google to be selling advertising to anyone, let alone Russian agents?.

The obvious answer seems to be so that legitimate advertisers, meaning the likes of Coca-Cola and General Motors, can inform consumers about the products they offer.

But herein lies the paradox of all advertising in the information age, online or otherwise.

If there is one thing that the internet has made it easy for consumers to access without the help of advertising, it is information – and especially information about products.

As I argue in a recent article in the Yale Law Journal, if the only justification for advertising is that it informs, then advertising is now seriously obsolete.

Not only that, it could even count as anti-competitive conduct in violation of the antitrust laws – as the Federal Trade Commission once believed.

Advertising as information.

Imagine a world wiped clean of advertising of all kinds – from the sponsored links at the top of the Google search results page and the banner ads on your favorite websites or mobile apps to the sponsored posts in your Facebook feed and the TV commercials and billboards in the offline world.

Would you still be able to find all the information you could ever want about products in this alternative world?.

Of course you would.

Your friends, family and the host of complete strangers you follow on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and half a dozen other sites would continue to bombard you with information about their lives, including all the products they are using.

And if you want to go out and learn more about a particular product, or find something new, a thousand little blue links optimized to meet your search criteria are just a Google search away.

In other words, we live in a world so immersed in easily accessible information that advertising is no longer needed to inform us about products.

Advertising is obsolete.

Advertising as manipulation.

But if advertising is out of date, then why is it everywhere?.

The answer, I argue in my article, is that advertising has always done more than just inform.

And that other function is if anything more powerful today – and more valuable to advertisers – than ever before.

It is what scholars of advertising euphemistically call advertising's power to persuade, and what the rest of us call its power to manipulate.

As sociologist Emily Fogg Mead once put it during the dawn of mass advertising a century ago, ads are a "subtle, persistent, unavoidable presence that creeps into the reader's inner consciousness.

A mechanical association is formed and may frequently result in an involuntary purchase.".

That – and not the ability to inform consumers about products they might not otherwise hear about – is the value of advertising for which advertisers paid US$200 billion in total in the United States last year.

Advertising remains so common today not because it informs but because it persuades.

That power to sway, which has always been a part of advertising, has been magnified by Google and Facebook, which have invested billions in turning the internet into a vast infrastructure of persuasion that includes the data collection tools running behind all of our favorite free services, the algorithms that decide based on that data how best to target advertising to make us succumb to its blandishments and the screen real estate where ads are displayed.

Google and Facebook put all this in place to help corporate America, not Russian agents, reach us.

If it seems credible that Russian agents could have used this infrastructure to alter the outcome of a U.S.

presidential election, it is equally credible that the largest American advertisers can use it every day to their own ends, inducing consumers to buy products that they don't want.

The antitrust case against advertising.

And just as Russia's political advertising may have put one candidate in the election at a disadvantage, commercial advertising can put companies selling products that consumers might actually prefer, but are less well advertised, at a competitive disadvantage.

That gives the Federal Trade Commission, which is charged with enforcing the nation's antitrust laws, a legal basis for going beyond current limits on advertising that is false or aimed at children, to sue to put an end to all advertising.

The courts have long held that Section 2 of the Sherman Act prohibits conduct that harms both competition and consumers, which is just what persuasive advertising does when it cajoles a consumer into buying the advertised product, rather than the substitute the consumer would have purchased without advertising.

That substitute is presumably preferred by the consumer, precisely because the consumer would have purchased it without corporate persuasion.

It follows that competition is harmed, because the company that made the product that the consumer actually prefers cannot make the sale.

And the consumer is harmed by buying a product that the consumer does not really prefer.

Of course, the maker of the substitute can advertise back, but there is no reason to think that the company that wins the advertising battle with the catchiest slogan or the most famous celebrity endorsements will be the one that sells the better product.

Coke's advertising is so good that consumer brain scans light up at the mention of Coke, but not Pepsi, which may explain why Coke's market share is double Pepsi's, even though consumers cannot distinguish the two colas in blind testing.

The FTC and the courts understood all this in the 1950s, when advertising was taking another new medium – television – by storm.

The FTC launched a series of lawsuits against some of the nation's largest television advertisers, including Procter & Gamble and General Foods.

In the FTC's greatest success of the era, the commission managed to convince the Supreme Court that the advertising of Clorox bleach illegally put rivals at a disadvantage.

According to the court, the profusion of Clorox advertising "imprint[s] the value of its bleach in the mind of the consumer," allowing Clorox to charge a premium over store brands, even though all bleach is chemically identical.

The reason advertising never went away, and Clorox still advertises, is that in the early 1980s the FTC embraced the view of advertising as usefully informative and ended its lawsuits.

But now that the information function of advertising is obsolete, as I've shown, the FTC should pick up where it left off and once again challenge the business of advertising.

Freedom and consequences.

A renewed FTC campaign would force the reorganization of some important industries.

Google and Facebook would of course have to find new ways to generate revenue, such as by charging users for their services, and newspapers would probably have to embrace a public funding model to survive without the advertising that has long been their lifeblood.

But, arguably, since consumers already pay for Google and Facebook with their personal data, it may not be too much to ask that they pay with their money instead.
