Youtube daily report Apr 5 2017

Group B is loved by car guys all over the world.

With cars like Lancia 037, Delta S4, Audi Quattro, Peugeot 205 T16, MG Metro 6R4 and

Ford Rs200 the Group B is definitely the golden era of rallying.

But the Group B cars advanced so much in such a short time that become to dangerous,FIA

attempt to regulate Group B in 1985 but even the new rules couldn't save the Group B,

numerous accidents led to the canceling of Group B in 1986 4 years after its creation.

In the same time FIA was working on new class a replacement for Group B called Group S.

Originally Group S would require 10 cars for homologation instead of 200 for Group B also

cars should remain the same for 12 months and 10 more cars should be build to homologate

any changes.

But like B the Group S didn't have any horsepower limitation.

Things would change in 1986 after tragic death of Toivonen and Cresto in Corsica.

So FIA changed the rules of Group S again.

The new Group S rules would be, 300 hp limitation, intake restrictor plates for all naturally

aspirated engines of more than 2400 cc and for all forced induction engines of more than

1200 cc, exterior of the car should mimic a production model in overall appearance and

shape, cars should weight at least 1000kg/2200lbs, all roll cages should be made on steel.

The new rules were planned to take of January 1 1987 but FIA was afraid that the same thing

that happened with Group B could happened also with so Group S was also cancel.

The Lada S-proto is definitely one of the weirdest cars of this list.

Build by a group of engineers from Estonia this was the car that would represent the

Soviet Union.

Originally the S-proto was build for Group B and would race under the name of EVA.

Based on a VAZ-2108 the S-proto was powered by a highly engineered and turbocharged Zhiguli

engine.

This project was so well made that got the backing of the communist party.

Around 30 homologation cars were build something that make this car even more interesting.

The Ibiza Bimotor is not only one of the weirdest Group S cars but also one of the weirdest

cars of all time.

Build in very low budget Seat couldn't afford an awd system like the other cars so they

came with this weird idea.

They joined together the front sections of two Seat Ibizas so Bimotor basically had two

engines, two gear boxes and 2 clutches.

The Bimotor ended up heaving lots of problems especially at synchronizing both systems.

Like many manufactures GM was also working to enter Group B but like the others they

decide to move to Group S after Group B cancellation.

The new car would be based on the Opel Kadett.

4 prototypes were made a naturally aspired one, a supercharged one, a turbocharged version

and another version powered by a turbocharged Ford engine tuned by Zakspeed.

While the 205 T16 was ruling the Group B with winning two sequential titles, Peugeot had

started the work for the new car.

After the Group B was canceled the project moved to Group S. underneath the 405 would

be similar to the 205 except the 405 would be longer giving the car more stability.

Most of the changes were done to the body of the car.

Peugeot dropped the hatchback body for a more aerodynamic coupe one.

Thankfully the 405 would not die like the other cars.

Peugeot would race their car at Pikes Peak and Rally Dakar achieving winnings at both events.

The Group S RS200 would have a new gearbox, a lighter body and some minor

changes underneath the car but overall the car would be the same.

Jhon Weeler one of the original designer of the RS200 would develop a replica of the RS200S

but this time car was a little bit diffrent from the Group S prototype.

The Weeler RS200 used a YB engine the same engine that Ford Sierra RS Cosworth used.

Audi was one the first manufacture to quit Group B because was too dangerous.

But in the same time they had started working on new mid engine car which would replace

the aging audi quattro and could compete with the other cars.

Very little is known about the mid-engine quattro because the project was created against

the wishes of the VW-Audi board.

Like with the Delta S4 Lancia went again and made something different and crazy.

They dropped the supercharged and turbocharged for a twin turbocharged one something that

had never ben done before with a 4 cylinder engine.

This new system that allowed the 4 cylinder engine to charge the both turbos was called

Triflux.

Lancia would continue the project with the ECV2 this time that dropped the Delta S4 body

for a more aerodynamic body.

Andy Barrie's Experience with Parkinson's and Deep Brain Stimulation - The Voice - Documentary - Duration: 13:17.

Ever since I was about 16 years old,

I had this voice. I was even called

"The Voice" in university; that was my nickname

because I opened my mouth and even

without intending to do so I'd be heard

across a room. If you would like to come

and bid your own farewell to Andy we

would love to see you down here in the

CBC broadcasting Centre.

That voice and what I did with propelled me to a

45-year career in broadcasting. A career

that ended a little sooner than I might

have hoped.

I was walking towards the coffee shop to get a cup of coffee,

I sort of noticed I was crabbing across

the floor I mean I instead of walking

straight which is where I thought I was

directing my body I was kind of walking

in the diagonal I didn't know why.

Sort of beyond my power and then I began

noticing that the writing the

handwriting I was doing whatever I did

it was getting increasingly small and

then I was in my car one day and as I

was driving along I felt a huge glob just

sort of fall on my hands. Where'd that

come from him? Here's like a major glob of

saliva. So I went home that day and I

put in to Google: altered gait, crabbed

handwriting and drooling. They came up

Parkinson's

What Parkinson's is, as it was explained

to me, it's a movement disorder to the

neuromuscular system. Its sending out

constantly, so at the moment my hand is

doing this and my leg which can't do

this maybe if I stood up a bit it would do it.

Parkinson's people are used to being

told you look great, you look terrific

that's in the beginning, when you really

know you're about to be impaired but the

drugs are still working perfectly. The

problem is what scares me is what you

would have seen when I woke up this

morning at 6am and I couldn't move. But

for someone like me who is pretty

gregarious whether I was an interviewer

on radio whether I'm just a partying with other

people, or telling stories or just making

jokes it's important for me to be part

of that. I don't mind solitude, I can

handle a lot of it, I enjoy my own

company but this has turned me in some

ways into a hermit.

"Nobody knows you, when you"… wow.

I started taking two pills a day and now I take 20 pills a day

and what you're seeing right now which is called

dyskinesia, a physical reaction to the drug…

… it's not Parkinson's

[Music]

I'd like to be out doing things in the

world but I just don't feel capable of

it because this is why I am, or because

on the other polar extreme I can't move.

Dad did you ask her she's going to come up?

Andy: No

When my baby comes you know this is really hard,

like I can't feel comfortable handing the baby to him and

leaving because I can't trust that he

would not trip and fall.

So at this point as I continue to lose the ability

my brain continues to lose the ability to

produce more and more dopamine it

reduces less and less in fact as the

disease progresses. The only thing I

could do the only important thing I

could do to make that better is to get

Deep Brain Stimulation.

Doctor: Keep looking straight ahead please.

So this isn't for everybody, it's a very good

strategy for a select number of people having

fluctuations every hour to an hour and a half with

your medication. Going from not enough to

too much, to not enough. That's what we

want to help with in Parkinson's.

So having deep brain stimulation

surgery if anything can roll

the clock back on the response to

medications by a significant number of years.

Andy: So much of my life

has been wrapped up in communicating

maybe that's a definition of being a

extrovert I don't know but for me in the

middle of the night all alone it was

scary, it was umm… it was taking me

someplace I didn't know I could take

myself.

I got admitted on Friday, the 13th at

six a.m. in the morning and by eleven

o'clock I was in the operating room and

it took six hours for them to properly

locate umm…. using an MRI to properly

locate the place in the brain called the

Sub Thalamic Nucleus, it was responsible

for Parkinson's. Because there are no

pain receptors in the brain they didn't

give me any anesthetic and I listened

to the drill go into my skull and I

listened to it break through into my brain

from my skull which is very strange …

Doctor: We are going to start at ten millimeters above target

Andy: And then they very gradually

and slowly inserted these electrodes

into my brain. Two of them - one on each

hemisphere. Doctor: This could be the biggest

game changer in your Parkinson's career

the hope is that you can improve the

quality of life.

So I come out of the surgery with the

electrodes in my brain, I have the

neurostimulator under my skin that I can

feel but nothing is going to be turned

on for two months. So I'm taking

my normal medications I have no help

from the electricity the stimulator is

going to provide so I have to wait two

months to find out how much of there

is of me in the new me.

Doctor: So I'm going to start doing your

electrode impedance so you may feel

tingling on one side or the other or you may not

Andy: Two months later in Toronto Western

Hospital in the morning I walk in with no

meds in my system, so they know how I

function with no meds in my system; so when

they turn on the stimulator they'll know

exactly what it, without the drugs, is

doing. And then they turn it on…

Very strange sensations, very hard to describe.

And it was interesting

Doctor: It's normal for you now? Andy: Yeah

even that first day I felt an immediate effect.

It was great, I was walking, I was talking,

I'm told that my range of facial expression

was a lot better which is very important

to me, one of the reasons that I left radio was

because I thought I can no longer communicate

those silent cues to people through my face. so

Andy: So this is no down to one? Doctor: Correct

And that's what was coming back and that was what

really moved me. If we programmed you into

Doctor: If we programmed you into changing voltage

when you go home that's when I'll teach about that.

Now you want to turn it back on again, there you go.

When you have a higher voltage you may

feel like a rush of electricity but

right now it's a low voltage.

Hi Cedar! What's this?

Andy: I don't know, no tricks.

My closest friends said change of my

attitude was amazing, all of a sudden I felt

optimistic again. For four years and I said

no to everything because I was dependable and

now I could say yes to everything. I feel

optimistic and make plans, and that's

continuing to six months since the

surgery.

Andy: Mom, feel my head. Feel the bumps?

Here are the bumps. Andy's Mom: No

What are the bumps from? Andy: Remember my brain

surgery, they took a drill and they drilled

holes in my brain. I wasn't sure I had a

future before with the Parkinson's.. since

the surgery I really have a future.

Andy's Mom: We never thought about it maybe you did.

Andy: I did. Andy's Mom: But you lived with it.

Andy: Every day, every second of every day.

Andy's Mom: But it had a good ending.

Andy: It's not over yet but it's getting better.

What really worried me was losing my

independence, I couldn't for instance

imagine before my surgery that one day

I'd be able to fly out to Albuquerque

alone to see my daughter and my new

grandson.

Such a simple pleasure but it felt so

good to be able to go see Jesse, hold my

grandson in my arms and know that

everything was going to be for the most part alright.

Andy's Daughter: It's exciting to get to see him

have the opportunity to take on this

role which I didn't know if he would

ever get the chance to do. He's definitely

a natural you know in terms of how he

interacts with him and sings to him and

he can be the kind of grandfather I want

for him and for him.

Singing: Just when I thought all was lost, you gave me

hope… No? You came along? (laughing)

Andy Barrie today is about eighty-two percent. It's

tempting if I could I could go get my stimulator

and probably change the setting of it right

now maybe my voice would come back and…

forget about it. I'm not going to do

that because it's not a good idea.

It's good to live with it the way it is and

learn to adjust to it accordingly.

Singing: "Precious friend you will be there, singing in harmony"

Andy Barrie's Daughter: I can't even sing it in harmony, in tune.

Conveting model from SFM to Garry's Mod - start to finish [Blender] - Duration: 1:18:40.

All right, so what I'm going to show you how to do is how to get these SFM models into

Garry's Mod.

And I made this short checklist that goes over the steps of how to do it.

I'm going to go over it in this video anyways.

So first, you'll need to find a model to download.

I downloaded this Chloe model because she a lot of bodygroups, she has facial flexes;

the only thing she'll really need is a collision model to get into Garry's Mod.

So once your model is downloaded and extracted just go into the Models and keep going until

you find the model file.

And then just bring open Crowbar and just drag it straight on top. and decompile it.

So once it's done you should have this QC file, the VTA which is her facial flexes,

and the rest of these are her bodygroups and her reference file.

So I'm just going to delete these, we don't need those.

So what you want to do first is open this QC file, the whole thing, inside Blender.

All right, so once you are inside Blender, you'll need to import the QC file; but first

I'm going to turn on screencast keys so you can see what I'm doing.

And let's just delete all this stuff and then import the QC file.

Go to wherever we decompiled it to.

Make sure this is set to "Make a new armature".

And import the QC.

So once this has been imported you'll notice it has all of her bodygroups.

It has all of her jackets, it has her hair, everything that has been included is now right

here.

We don't need all these dots - they are her VTA vertices, we can just delete those.

first what you want to do is see how many bones she has.

So select the bones and then go into Edit Mode and we'll see that she only has 95 bones

which is perfect because the limit is 128.

So we won't have to delete any or re-rig anything; It's going to be very easy.

What I'm going to do is import a standard citizen model to see just how large she is

compared to him.

Make sure its set to "Make a new armature" and import him.

And she is actually pretty tall compared to him.

So I guess I'm going to look up how tall she is and try to get her to a more natural scale;

I kind of assume these citizens are around 6 foot tall, maybe a little shorter; maybe

they're around 5 foot 10 or something like that - or 5' 9".

So with that, we'll see how tall she is.

So I went to her wiki page and I found that her height is 5 foot 9.

So we'll make her about that tall in the game.

So since she is 5 foot 9 we can use that compared to the citizen and scale her down.

So select all of her and this will be easier if you go into the um, this proportion mode,

by pressing 5.

And just start scaling her down.

And I think it would be right around there.

And then you would press Control A to apply the location, rotation, and scale.

We don't need him.

So after we have the correct scale what we can do is see if her bones, her hand bones,

match up work with the finger poser in Garry's Mod; and they don't.

So we will use that citizen skeleton, look at the name of his bones, and name them the

same thing.

So we'll take the left hand, and make sure that her left hand is also titled the Valvebiped

standard name.

And I'll grab the first part of the thumb and rename that as well.

And since we have those we don't really need the skeleton, we can just kind of work off

of this.

So the thumb is named finger0, the next part is named 01, and then the tip is named 02.

the first finger is named finger1, and then 11, and then 12.

Next finger.

The middle finger is finger2, the middle part of her middle finger is 21, and the end of

her finger is 22.

Her third finger, her ring finger, is finger3, next part is 31, and then 32.

And her last pinky finger is finger4, the first part is 41, and then this is 42.

You want to do this exact same thing of the other side but change all of the L''s to R's.

Make sure her right hand is a valvebiped right hand.

And we just need to copy the name of the fingers but make sure it is an R. So it's right

finger 0, and it's the same as the other side, this is 01, 02.

Make sure that is the Right hand, or the right finger.

And I'm going to copy that so I don't have to type it out a bunch.

Allright, so this is the right finger 11, right finger 12.

Just like the other side, finger 2, 21, 22.

Her ring finger is finger 3, this part is 31, the end part is 32.

And last, her right pinky is 4, this part is 41, and the end part is 42.

All right, so now she is scaled to a right size, her finger bones are named the correct

things.

If this was a - if this was not an SFM model we would need to rename all the materials

but we don't because it is already set up for source.

But if this was an MMD model or came from XNALara then you would probably need to rename

all of these to match whatever texture name you are using.

Oh, also, if you have a root bone at the bottom, delete it; we don't need it and it'll mess

up everything.

So now she is the correct scale, her fingers are named the correct thing, she should already

have faceposing, so the only thing she really needs now is you just need to export all of

these different things individually with this new skeleton with the new names and then create

a physics model and then it'll just be about done.

So to export all of these, go to this tab, scroll down, and set a directory.

I'll set it to the same spot, actually I'll create a new folder, right here titled "exported",

I guess.

And I will set that to the export path.

So I will start with.

let's start with this hair piece.

You want to select both the mesh and the skeleton, if you can, it might be kind of hard.

So I'm just going to hide some of these layers to make it a lot easier.

I'm going to grab her hair.

Shift, right click, and I still like to apply the location, rotation, and scale before I

export.

And make sure this is set to SMD and export her cap.

it just takes half a second.

And then uncheck the skeleton and we can delete the cap since its already exported.

Then we'll do her t-shirt.

That's done, we can delete it.

Do her hair, export it.

Uncheck the skeleton and delete her hair that we had.

Hair for jacket, I guess we'll do that too.

And you'll do this for every single piece that she has.

She even has a ring somewhere.

Make sure you get all of these small pieces like the rings.

We're going to export her face, her body, which is her reference; we're going to export

that last because we are going to use it to build the collision model.

keep doing this, I might even end up skipping some of this in the video so you're just not

watching me export a ton of things because it takes a little while when there's so many.

So down to the last bracelet.

Hide her.

And this should be the last thing before we export her body.

And you want to make sure there's not anything small that you missed.

You can just click on the skeleton and then Control I to invert it and it'll show you

everything that is left.

So it looks like we just have her body left. and the reason we moved this to a different

folder was because she has these shapekeys, these facial flexes, and you do not want to

overwrite these.

You want to make sure you are using the original ones because a lot of the times these can

get distorted in Blender when you import them.

And if you export them and use them they'll be distorted in the game, and all weird looking.

So just make sure that you don't use them or when it exports, you can just delete it.

So the last thing is her.

Apply location, rotation, scale, and export the reference.

this is going to take longer because she's also exporting those facial flexes.

All right, so now that everything is exported, let's just go to the folder to check it out.

So here is where we sent them to, was right here.

Like I said, delete her facial flexes that we exported, delete them.

And we'll go back and we'll take her QC and her facial flexes and we'll just move them

to this folder.

So she should have everything with the new skeleton, her original flexes, her original

QC file.

So what's left to do is make a collision model ad we'll do that now.

Now we're back in Blender and we're going to make a collision model, and it's not too

hard, just go over here to Create to start off, just make a cube.

And we are going to drag it up to her chest area and put on X-ray so you can see through

it.

So with the collision model, each chunk, each block that you make, you're going to be able

to grab with the physics gun as well as be able to move that part with the Ragdoll Mover.

You only want to really do the basic parts, you want to do each part of the spine, her

root hips, her upper and lower arms, her hand, her upper and lower legs, and her foot.

As well as her head, and her neck, and maybe her clavicle; we'll see.

So her upper, her Spine 2 starts from here and goes all the way to right here.

So we'll make this about that size.

So just go into Edit Mode and stretch it upwards, stretch it outwards, go to the side and make

sure it's around the right size.

And what you can do is go to these Mesh Tools and right here click Subdivide and it'll divide

that block up, and we'll do it one more time.

Then you can come up here, click Smooth vertex and it'll make it closer and closer to being

round the more times you click it.

So, it's a bit more natural shaped, I guess.

I'm just going to bring some of these over, just like that.

and now we have a piece that is roughly her upper body shape.

make it a bit taller.

all right, so we'll do the same thing for each part of her body.

We'll create a cube, and make it roughly the right size.

Subdivide and smooth vertex...

I'm going to make sure this is the right body part; and I'm going to turn the Names on so

I can make sure, just so I can make sure which piece I'm doing.

So this is for Spine 1.

Stretch it out a little bit.

And we're going to move that in because it looks weird.

All right, so what you can do is you can actually just make a duplicate of this and use it down

here as well.

Make sure it's still the right size.

You're kind of making like a suit of armor for her to wear, it like you're making a low-poly

version of her.

So you want it to be right about the same size as her.

All right, so we have the Spine2, Spine1, Spine, and then the hips which I believe is

the root bone... yeah it's the root bone.

So; I'm actually going to adjust this a bit.

All right, now I'm just going to do her legs.

So we'll duplicate that, bring it down, and rotate it.

And this goes all the way down to her knee, so we need to make that a lot longer.

And duplicate it.

And make her other leg.

And we can duplicate both of these at the same time and make them work as her lower

legs as well.

Make them a bit thinner.

make sure you're going into these side views to make they are not huge and actually match

her body size.

And I'm just making it really simple, but if you want you can go in and actually make

it a lot closer to her body size.

Like that.

But I'm going to keep it fairly simple.

All right, so next we have her feet, and we're just going to duplicate that again.

Smush them down.

Actually those look really weird, so I'm going to delete that one and make a new one.

All right, so, make sure that's about the right size, about the right shape.

and we'll duplicate that one and use it for her other foot too.

Allright.

So we still have her arms, neck, and head and clavicle.

So I'm just going to duplicate part of her legs, rotate it, and make it fit instead of

making a whole new cube every single time.

Make sure you're going in this above view so we can see how wide it is.

We're going to duplicate that, bring it over here, make it a little bit thinner.

Maybe a little bit longer too.

Shrink it down just a little bit just so it matches

the shape of her arm a little bit better.

It doesn't have to be exact.

For her hand I'm just going to duplicate her arm chunk and do it the same way.

That's about good.

What we can do for her arms is select them all, press S to scale, then make the X negative

1 and it'll flip it completely.

But let's duplicate it first so we can use it for over here, and then flip it so we don't

have to make a whole new arm.

And that's off.

It's right about there.

So for her clavicle, or her shoulder, I like to put them up here.

And her torso is in the way a little bit, so I'm going to take these and push them down

a little bit.

I'll do this side at the same time.

Then put this right about there, the bone is over here, but this is where we're just

going to put it.

I'll scale it down a little more.

All right, duplicate that, move it over.

We can move it forward a little bit more. and we're just going to use one of these to

make the neck and the head.

The neck goes from here to here, so we can do something like that.

Make sure it matches on all sides.

And that will be the neck chunk.

Duplicate it again and we can use this for her head.

Like I said it doesn't have to be exact, but make it a little bit closer to her head shape.

All right, that's close enough.

So we have each part.

So now what we're going to do is rig this collision model to her skeleton.

So let's just hide her for now.

And select it, and Shift Right Click to select the skeleton as well.

Control P, and set the parent to Object with Empty Groups.

That way it will make all these vertex groups, but they won't be set.

So let's go to the hips.

go to Edit Mode.

Make sure just the hips are selected.

Make sure all of it is selected; if you are not in wireframe mode, and select the front,

it will only select half of it.

So make sure you are selecting the entire thing.

So make sure the hips are selected and hit Assign.

And we'll go to the spine, we'll just work our way up.

Spine 1..

And Spine 2.

And what this is doing, if you go to pose mode, its making sure that those parts that

we just rigged are moving with the skeleton.

So since we haven't rigged the arm it's not moving with it.

So we are just going to continue doing that, rigging the entire thing, each part.

Spine 2 we already did.

Neck... pretty close to the head, make sure you're just getting the neck, not the shoulder.

All right, assign that; and I'm going to bring it down a tiny bit.

We can do the head.

Assign that.

Make sure these are the right names.

We have Head and GRPHead, so let's see, let's go to object mode, unhide her body; let's

see which one of these actually moves her head.

So GRPHead weirdly just moves her face, and Head moves her entire head so that's what

we want to rig it to.

All right; and we did that correctly, so that's good.

What's next, let's see.

The right shoulder is going to move this bone here, which is her clavicle or shoulder.

And that's actually the left one; make sure you're not mixing up the right and the left.

This goes by the models right arm and right shoulder, so assign it to the right shoulder,

even though it's on the left.

The right arm..

Right forearm..

And the hand.

All right and then we'll go to the other side, Her left.

So left shoulder, left arm, left forearm, and her hand.

Last we just have her legs to do.

And I'm going to make sure we're grabbing the right one.

So LeftUpLeg is the one that moves her leg, so I'm going to rig it to LeftUpLeg; or

RghtUpLeg, I guess. and then her knee, her lower leg, is actually just called Right Leg.

So select it, make sure all of its selected, and assign it.

Right Foot, make sure that one is assigned to her right foot.

And we'll do the same thing on the left side and she should be done.

left leg is assigned.

And the left foot.

So a good way to check is to grab her by the hips, her root bone, and bring her around,

and we'll see that there was one chunk on her hand that we missed.

Make sure that you are getting each and every part.

Oh that's actually not the collision model, that's actually her hand that isn't rigged

properly right there.

Well, we can still export this, just name it Physics, and export it to the same area.

It won't have textures, that's fine.

But what bothers me is that her hand isn't rigged.

It seems to be this bone right here; right finger 01.

Oh this doesn't even have it.

All right, that was my mistake earlier when I was renaming these, it

was probably fine

to begin with.

And since she wasn't rigged properly for a second there, we will have to re-export her

too.

So after we created the physics model we're going to go back into her folder where we

sent it and set up the QC to use that physics model.

So I'm going to open it up and you'll notice it has all the flexes, all the bodygroups

down here, some alternate skins, and we just have one sequence line.

But we also need this collision joint line, which I'm just going to grab from another

model and just paste it right in there.

But make sure it's the same name as yours.

Make sure the root bone is Hip because that's what it is.

So I'm going to save this and we're going to compile it and see if it works.

So just grab it and throw it right on the compiler and hit Compile QC File.

And kind of as I suspected earlier she has too many flexcontrollers.

I'm going to have to remove some of them.

Let's see.

So this says it's on line 162.

Let's see how many there are.

Right here is the issue, so we have about 4 we have to get rid of.

Let's get rid of, let's get rid of her nose wrinkler flex, and to do this, you just put

two slashes right before it; if you do that then the compiler will completely ignore that

entire line.

So we have that; I'm just trying to find the less necessary ones.

We might not need the cheek concave since we already have a cheek puff.

We can just use the reverse of that inside of Garry's Mod, it might not work, it might.

we removed four.

Let's save it and recompile and see if it works.

166; so we still need to get rid of one more.

Let's get rid of the nose flares, we don't need those.

All right, save it and recompile it again.

This is the part where you troubleshoot a lot.

Unknown flex controller flex cheek concave - oh that's right, if you get rid of them,

where'd it go, if you get rid of them up here, you also have to get rid of them down here.

So we removed cheek concave left and right, we removed i think just the nose flexes.

So I'm just going to mark those out.

Save it and recompile.

All right.

could not load file, oh, it's trying to load the animation file but we removed it.

So we're just going to remove that too.

Actually we'll just change it to - we still need this ragdoll line, but we'll change it

to the physics model.

So make sure you have that.

All right; save, recompile Again.

Allright and we're getting max flex verts, error exception violation - what this means,

it's just a generic error, it just means a lot of the times that you have too many

bodygroups on one model.

It's just trying to put too many things on one model.

So what we're going to do is go back to her bodygroups and we're just going to mark some

of them out.

Let's get rid of her wrist, let's get rid of her neck bodygroups, let's get rid of her

ring and let's see if that's enough to compile.

it might not be.

But this is all trial and error for right now so we're going to recompile and see if

it'll work.

Allright...

So removing those few things seemed to work; let's see what it looks like in the model

viewer when it's done compiling.

So when it's done just click View Model in Model Viewer.

It'll bring up the model and it'll show you what she looks like.

It's all right if it's all purple and black missing textures.

What we're doing now is making sure the physics model matches up, which it does, and the bones

match up, which they also do.

So the next thing to do would be to go into this Physics tab and set all of these jointconstrains.

So we're going to do that now.

So when you are in Half Life Model Viewer, go over to the

Physics tab to set all of her jointconstrains.

You'll want to select the left leg and you can hit this link here and test it using the

slider to see how far her joints will move.

And I already have them set because i had to redo this portion, something was wrong

with the recording, but you're going to try to make all of the parts seem kind of natural.

For example, this is her bottom leg.

You wouldn't want to make it bend in reverse because that's just a broken leg.

You can do it just a little bit, maybe about 5 just to be a little bit flexible; But try

to keep it pretty natural.

If your arms and legs can't bend that way then the model probably shouldn't.

And you're just going to set these; the X, the Y, and Z values for every single part.

You don't need to do the hips, and when I do this I don't set the shoulders, I keep

them at 0.

That way when you're inside Garry's Mod they don't flop around and you can still use the

Ragdoll Poser to move them.

So if you were posing the right arm you would start with the X value, whichever one.

But we can see that it can move about 60 degrees both directions.

The Y value I had set to move forward pretty far, and back not as far.

And for the Z value, which is up and down.

It can go up to about 100 degrees and down to about 140.

And you're going to want to have these the same on the other side.

So her right arm is 100 degrees and 140 degrees on the Z axis, you should do that on her left

arm as well so that they match up.

So her left arm can also go up 100 degrees and

down 140.

So that's basically about it for the jointconstrains.

When you're done, you're going to want to hit Generate QC right here and it's easiest

just to bring up notepad and hit Control V just to paste it.

And you're just going to be grabbing all of this and pasting it into our QC.

So it's going to rename your Physics that we had set to Ragdoll So we're just going

to copy the jointconstrains down to this.

And we don't need this ragdoll sequence.

And once you have this copied in here you're going to want to recompile it.

So when it's done compiling these should already be set, these should be saved to how you set

them.

So now we have a physics model, it's all rigged, jointconstrains are set, the last thing to

do would be to add any jigglebones, change - I like to change this to my folder so I

know where they all go.

So what I've noticed is that this model doesn't have any hair bones which is kind of weird,

so if you want to add any jigglebones I guess we would just add them to her breasts.

Left pectoral and right pectoral...

And i don't know the code right off my head, so I have different codes from different models.

Let's see...

This is the jigglebones for the hair, this is a much more simple jigglebone code, but

I'm going to copy this one for her breasts.

And rename it RightPectoral and make another one called LeftPectoral.

And I'll leave the code here for a second if you want to copy it.

So there's that, and now that it's saved, I'll recompile it and see how it looks.

All right, and here's the code to make her breasts about that bouncy.

I'll just leave it that way.

You should also be able to go in here and be able to see her different models of hair

and all of her different tops, even though the textures missing.

But we have it in game.

So the models complete, the very very last thing we have to do is take these bodygroups

and make them a separate model since they couldn't fit onto the original one.

So we're going to just name this Clothes.

I'll name it Chloe Accessories, and I'm going to get rid of all of this.

So the only thing that will be left will be the bodygroups that we did not have.

And because this is going to spawn as an effect and just be bonemerged on we don't need the

jointconstrains.

If you were making clothes as a separate model, I would say still have these jigglebones so

they match the model.

Make sure its saved as Clothes..

And let's see how it compiles.

Oops, we have to name it Clothes.qc, there we go.

And just drag it on here.

And it compiled very quickly, so we'll view the model in the model viewer.

There doesn't seem to be anything there, but there is.

She has neck, I think these are all just slightly different, yeah.

She has this wristband.

So I think now we're ready to go to the model file and put this in your Garry's Mod folder

wherever you said you would put it.

I'm just going to cut this whole folder and stick it right in there.

So now we have Chloe and her accessories, those couple bodygroups that couldn't fit.

And we're just going to take these materials, and these are already set to work with Garry's Mod

so we're just going to copy those and paste them right here.

Make sure they merge with the materials folder and that should be it.

So we're going to go into Garry's Mod to check it out and see if everything turned out correctly.

Allright, now that we are in Garry's Mod we will see if it worked, how well it turned out

So go down to Games, Garry's Mod, and find whichever folder you put it in; I put it in

Alan13 folder and then it was right here.

So right here we have the accessories, and right here we have the model.

What the heck happened to her?

Hmm...

Hmmmm, now that's really weird.

How about we go back... we go back and try and see why she came out so weird.

Ahh, so there's the problem.

So when we shrunk her down we didn't shrink her VTA vertices, Soo - Actually instead of

just going through all of that fixing all of them or transferring all of them from the

original to the new one, i just went to my recycle bin and i found the one that we deleted.

So I'm just going to use that and see if it works; This isn't the original, this is the

one that I deleted.

So this should have been here.

So let's see if that fixed it.

And that's Chloe Reference.vta so we're going to have to change that.

Make sure that is set to Chloe Reference, because that is the one that we exported,

not the original.

Now that it's done compiling let's see how it looks.

So it's not deformed, that's good.

A lot of these are working.

They're very subtle..

I guess that fixed it.

So i guess note to self: If you are going to rescale models, Don't use the original

vta files, actually export them and use that one to work.

So let's go to the model file, send that over.

Allright, and I guess we'll try and load up Garry's Mod.

Hopefully it works this time.

All right now that we are back in Garry's Mod, scroll back down to where we left the model

And she already looks a million times better than what she was.

And we also have these accessories.

Let's see what we have.

bodygroup tool.

We have different hairstyles, different bra - and there's a face flex that makes her boobs fit better

Oh, her skins change her shirt, that's cool.

So we have a bunch of different shirts, different bottoms, pants, jackets, shoes, all kinds of stuff

Her eyes are kind of dark.

I guess that's something that'll need tweaking later.

There they are.

Okay.

So let's check out some of her facial flexes.

All right, so these all seem to work pretty well.

Let's see if these - these should work.

These are the extra clothes that couldn't fit on the model.

And we'll put it on with the Easy Bonemerge Tool.

And it fit right on her.

So aside from her eyes looking kind of dark, I'd say she's pretty good.

All right, so I fixed her eyeballs; turns out that when you rescale models it completely

messes up their eyeposing So I'm going to show you how to fix them.

So on the left is the original QC file that we decompiled, this one on the right is the

one that we edited and the only numbers that we had to change are these three here, the

eyeball, and these three here for the other eyeball.

And I'm going to show you how to get these real quick.

So go into Blender and for her left eye select the very center, and you'll notice these three

values right here; the X, Y, and Z.

Which correspond to right here; The X, the Y, and the Z.

We can just take those from right here when you click on the very center of her eye.

Now the Y value is a little bit harder to get.

The easiest way is to select her whole eyeball and get just the edge of the outside.

We need to get the very middle of her eyeball.

When you have just this ring of the outside of her eye press E, then Enter, and then S

to scale it down, and you'll get that ring.

Hit Alt M, and just merge it at the center.

And you'll get this dot at the very center of her eye; and you can take that Y coordinate

and plug it in right here. and you'll do the same thing on the other eye.

And the only thing is the X value which is the negative.

And i think that's about it

Q and A (Part 2) ⎮ ASL Stew - Duration: 17:21.

- Hello, I'm Jill... - ...and I'm Jenna. -Welcome to ASL Stew!

(hand slap... upbeat music)

Okay so now is part 2 of the Q and A.

So we have the same clothes... because it's the same video.

So, now we have Twitter questions left.

So, here's the first question.

- Okay, the person's name is Sarah and they ask,

"I loved watching the video about freelance interpreting.

I'm curious, out of freelance and staff, which do you think is better?"

- Okay, so let me explain. I work at a university as a staff interpreter.

They're curious if I like freelance or staff interpreting better.

I would say both have pros and cons.

I can make a whole video about that, what I think are the pros and cons of both.

But I would say right now, I prefer to be staff.

Just because I like the people that I get to work with, the support and resources.

I love my job right now, but there are many pros to freelance that I miss as well.

So, we can talk about that more later.

Okay the next question is from Aaron and he says,

"Do you believe in using hearing aids or cochlear implants?"

- My answer is.... they are tools.

It's up to the individual if they feel they benefit from using them.

But that doesn't mean you become hearing.

No, you are still D/deaf or hard of hearing regardless.

Once they're off, then you're back to yourself. That's what it is.

So, it's really just a tool. I have hearing aids.

I use them for music, for environmental sounds, things like that.

They are beneficial to me. But does that make me hearing? No it doesn't.

So you have to be careful. Remember, use them as tools.

That can apply to some people and maybe some people it won't, but that's individual decision.

Okay, the person's name is Monique and she asks,

"With many free resources available for ASL, interpreting, Deaf culture, and whatnot,

there's a lot on the internet.

So, is getting a bachelor's degree or any sort of degree or training worth it?"

- Really, it depends.

If you want to become an interpreter, then yes.

Getting a degree is actually required if you want to become nationally certified.

Which I would recommend getting certified.

But really it's going to depend.

If you just want to work with D/deaf people within your job --

let's say... I don't know...

a lawyer, a psychologist, or whatever.

You don't have to get any sort of additional thing for that.

It'd be nice if you could, because the more knowledge you have the better.

But if you just want to work with, I don't know...

at a group home or something like that, just getting a regular degree

for social work or whatnot is fine.

Maybe you could take some classes if you want to learn. That would be great!

But I would say if you want to have more knowledge and learn more sign language,

then I would always recommend taking classes

through high school or college or something like that.

But it won't hurt to have it, but it not necessarily always required.

- Again, it's really going to depend what you do and what field.

If it's Deaf education, then yes of course you have to.

You know that's required, but if it's another field

then getting an additional skill set would be good.

But really, if you want to just have knowledge of ASL and use it within your career,

then you don't have to get a degree.

You could take courses, or go within the Deaf community.

That's what you should really do.

Get involved with Deaf people. That's the key to picking up skills.

Right there, that's the most important thing. So it really depends what you're looking for.

- Okay, the next question is from jaydeaf2004 and he said,

"Have you ever tried the flip water bottle?"

- Umm, like a full filled water bottle? No I haven't done that yet.

I haven't tried that, but empty yeah I've done that before.

Flipped it over, but not a full water bottle.

- The full one, no. I don't know... is that a thing? Let us know.

- Yeah you know when people try to flip it over and lands back down on the bottom.

- I'm not cool like that. - I've seen it. It's okay.

- I have no skill. - I mean I can try, I can try, but I haven't though.

Okay the next person is from Em zzzz (snore) and she said,

"Have either of taken the ASLPI before? What's that like?"

- Umm, I don't think I've taken the A-SLPI before, but I think --

when I did the interview to get into NTID/RIT, I think technically --

I sent in a video but it was using the SLPI system.

Just to see my sign language, but I didn't formally take it because I didn't physically go there.

So I wasn't really taking the test. I don't know.

But that's for -- I don't know the "A" part. I don't remember what that means.

But SLPI means Sign Language Proficiency Interview.

- "A" for American.

- American? Uh...

I don't know. They just called it the SLPI. They didn't call it the "A" SLPI.

I've never taken the "AMERICAN" SLPI or any SLPI.

What about you?! - None, I've never had any formal ASL anything.

- No American, nope.

Sorry, I don't know.

But, from what I remember the description was a test of your conversational skills.

Not your actual formal interpreting skills, it's just to see what your level of singing proficiency is.

So, typically it's pretty simple. You just have a conversation with them. Yeah.

If Em, you're taking the ASLPI, good luck!

Okay, the next is from Sydney Anne and she says,

"What is one mistake interpreters often make?"

- Hmm, one mistake. I have to pick just one? - One!

Just one. - Typically the same thing.

I have to say voicing not matching the Deaf client's vocabulary level.

That's kind of a common thing. Typically it's either...

well from my experience it's usually a lower level.

Which, I have a higher vocabulary level and I want to use specialized words that I know.

Often, I usually get basic language and it kind of makes me feel like I'm lesser.

It's not what I want. Sometimes I'll have to fingerspell a word,

saying this is the word that I want you to use. You know?

So you have to be careful with that.

- Yeah, that kind of reminds me of one thing related to interpreting.

Remember you're learning to become an interpreter

meaning you're learning sign language right, ASL.

But also remember you need to have skills with your English too.

Because you need to have a good diverse vocabulary level for English for that reason.

Sadly in the past, many Deaf people did not have higher,

masters, PhD levels of education.

Meaning interpreters didn't have to voice at advanced levels.

But now, so many Deaf people have a higher vocabulary

meaning you have to match that as well.

So you need to make sure you're practicing your English skills as well. Okay?

- Right, I work at a university.

So, sometimes when I'm doing a presentation or a workshop

I'm with my peers who both have higher vocabulary levels

and we have a type of jargon, specialized words.

So that means sometimes the interpreter can't keep up

and I have to say, "no this is what I meant..." to clarify.

So that's a challenge sometimes.

- Yeah, it's not always that you think they have a lower vocabulary level.

You just don't have the right words. So just be careful of that.

- Okay, the person's name is Skor and they say,

"Do you have any tips for stretching or working out your arms?

Because I just started signing and I noticed that my arms become tired."

- Well first I would say, if you're talking specifically about wrists and possibly injury,

I just made a video about that, which I will link up in the cards

and down below in the description. Talking about wrists and working out, stretching and what to do.

But if you're talking about arms getting tired,

I would say probably it's because you're not using micro-rests, or breaks.

Meaning, when you're signing, if your arms are here all the time,

your arms are going to get tired because you're not used to it.

If it's here, or up here, you just need to be knowledgeable

about where you're putting your arms when you're signing.

Don't sign way up here, or way out here. Don't sign like this

because then you're tensing and you're gonna get stiff.

So, put your arms down by your side and sign as much as possible.

If you need to go out for a bit, that's fine. Just be careful of how you're signing.

What you can do if possible is film yourself.

Just signing whatever. Talking with someone about something.

Then sit there and watch the video and see where are you putting your arms.

Are they here, here, here, here, here, here, here?

Where are they? Then notice what your signing style is and then you can fix that. Okay?

But in general, just buff up your arms. Work out a little. Lift some weights!

- Well and also, if you're pretty new it takes time to get use to that.

If you're signing all the time, your arms will understand that and it will be fine.

You can't sign for a few hours of course because you're new at it.

So just take your time and it will build up over time.

- BUFF ARMS!

Okay the next question is from Tim H and he says,

"Hey Jenna, I provide financial services like investments, insurance, etc.

Can I just sign with the Deaf client myself,

or do I need to hire a CDI, or a regular interpreter if you're hearing."

- Okay, umm it kind of depends.

If you are fluent with sign language, if you feel confident in your signing abilities,

and in your conversation, then you can do it yourself.

But you have to ask the client if they're comfortable with you signing with them.

"Do you feel comfortable with me?" If they say yes, then that's fine.

If they say no, they need more assistance or clarification,

go ahead and get a CDI because it's all about the client's needs.

Focus on them. So say, "what do you need?"

"Are we okay?" Great, if not and you need somebody else then get an interpreter.

Whatever the client feels that they want, respect that decision.

- Yeah, I would say that for any profession in general,

other than a doctor, but if you're psychologist or private practice or something like that,

if you can sign really well and the client's fine

then maybe they would prefer that one on one.

Prefer that instead of bringing in an interpreter for privacy reasons.

If you can and the client's fine with that, that's okay.

But if for any other reason, if you're missing information

or there's any potential translation error, then I would request for a professional person.

Good question!

- Okay same person again, Tim, asked another question.

He said, "Is there any online community that I can visit to practice my signing?

Do you know of any?"

- Okay, well I would always say first, there's ASL Practice Pals

which will be linked down below for that.

Umm, also you could maybe try -- I don't know if you want online

then I know there's a few different Facebook groups, like I know "ASL That!".

That's a good group that you can contact people there,

ask questions about specific signs.

Umm, I'm trying to think about a general other one...

I'm not really sure of any others.

- Really there's a lot of different groups.

You can look on the groups pages in your state.

I mean there's not always some, but they may have some there.

It's important to use Facebook as a search engine to just see what you can find there.

- Yeah, I would say just look online on Facebook as much as possible.

- Okay, this is Monique again as a follow-up question from before.

Asking, "Is it possible to get a degree online only?

I was looking at Gallaudet University, but it seems not all the courses are there an available online."

- Umm, I'm not 100% sure, right now off the top of my head,

but I've researched that question before.

So I will leave a comment in the description down below explaining what I found.

I believe... yes there is an online program.

I believe one, maybe two universities have online programs.

I'm not sure if it's fully online.

You might have to go one time a week or one weekend,

I will research that and find out the answer and leave it down below in the description.

So you guys can read it and figure out which university people recommend.

I asked on Facebook and a few other groups I'm involved with, what they thought.

I've never taken it online for interpreting, I'm assuming that's what she means.

If it's not interpreting then I have no idea.

But if it's interpreting, I'll let you know.

- Okay, this is from Tumblr and the person's name is fandom_overload7890 and they asked,

"What advice would you give somebody who is trying to become an interpreter

and is trying to learn sign language by themselves?"

- I would say it's fine if you want to try and learn sign on your own,

but if you want to become a professional interpreter,

you have to actually be in contact with somebody.

That could mean taking classes through high school,

and then through university and getting a degree for interpreting.

Or you could go old school, and get in contact with your Deaf community

and they will help you grow and become skilled enough to be an interpreter.

So either I would say take courses through school or through the Deaf community.

But, I would say if you're just learning sign by yourself

and you've had no formal instruction or you're not in contact with people,

I don't think you could be skilled enough to become an interpreter.

Just because the Deaf community typically doesn't really work well with people like that.

If you've had no formal instruction or

no involvement in the Deaf community, it's really tough.

Plus, if you're learning by yourself... ahh

really it's tough because either you're just looking at videos all day

and you really need in person contact either through school or the Deaf community.

So I would say that.

- Also, to be a good interpreter, it's not only about the signing skills.

You need to have cultural understanding as well.

Cultural knowledge of how Deaf people are, what they behave like.

Really there's a lot involved in that. It's not just the language.

There's so much more to it, and it's really important to work with the Deaf community.

That's so key! - Yeah experience is a lot I would say.

So, try your best when you're ready, to go ahead and take some classes.

Get your degree or work with the Deaf community and see what they can help you with.

So good luck!

Cutting the Cords Technique for Dealing with Heartbreak - Duration: 8:40.

Hello again.

This is Gaianna Love.

I am Gaianna Love and I'm a sacred sexuality coach for women.

Today I'm going to talk about cords between partners, and if you're experiencing

loss of vital energy, if you're thinking about your partner like way too much, if you're

feeling really sexually attracted and you can't stop it, this is after you've broken

up with them, if you're feeling a real longing, then you might have energy cords in between

you and your partner.

So what they are is they are like hoses, they run energy to and from you and your partner.

And there can be really positive energy cords and there can be negative ones that can create

all sorts of symptoms, including the ones that I just mentioned, but also ones in the

body.

So it can be like pains in the body, it can be like exhaustion, basically you're losing

your vital energy through these chords, through feeding them.

And so you want to be able to cut them off.

Now the positive ones you don't want to be cutting off and you don't actually do that,

obviously.

Even if they were to be cut off they would actually just regrow instantaneously, and

you can even make an intention for creating a new and positive energy cord between you

and your ex partner if you decide, if you'd like to.

But for today we're going to take the ones that are not positive and release them from

your body.

And so I do this ...there's a few different ways, there's a variety of different ways

of doing this and I'm going to do this with you using Archangel Michael.

I use angels quite a bit with this work, any type of sexual healing work.

The angels are incredibly awesome for us so... and Archangel Michael he's kind of like a

big brother warrior, so if you think of him he usually carries a sword and he's very discerning,

he's very clear, he's a warrior and he's also very loving and gentle.

So we'll be calling upon him for this clearing.

So I just want to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Got it all, okay.

Okay so what we'll do now if you'd like to get into a really comfortable position we'll

just do a two minute meditation, and you can do this meditation more than once if you feel

it, and you can do it also with other people in your life that you feel there's a energy

chord with, so like parent or co-worker, or just anybody really. Just do it one at a time.

So if you want to get yourself into a nice and comfortable position and close your eyes.

Relax your breath... we're going to call upon our higher selves to become present for this work,

and I'm so going to call upon the Creator, God, Goddess, all that is.

However you relate to the universe you can call upon that force, and I'm also going to

call upon Archangel Michael for us.

And just relax in your breath.

So I'm going to ask spirit to light up any negative energy chords that are running between

you and the person who you have in mind.

So you may feel this as a energy vibration, as warmth in different parts of your body,

and there could definitely be more than one.

So just allow your mind to relax, and it could also be a visual, you may see it.

Just noticing any energy cords where they may be in your body.

And when you're ready we'll ask...we'll ask now for Archangel Michael to please remove

these energy cords in your body

and just take a minute as this is happening, relaxing in your body.

And when you feel complete you can call upon Archangel Raphael who's a healer angel to

fill in all of these areas where the cords were with a healing balm to heal up completely

in a beautiful way.

And Archangel Michael has also removed these chords from the person in question that you

felt that you may have cords between you and them, and he has sent the cords...tied

them up and sent the cords into the light to be composted, to be transformed, to be transmutated

And slowly come back, back to your breath, wiggle your toes and your nose... and that

is the completion, that's all it takes.

And you can do this, cutting of the cords as often as you feel.

Once should be enough but if you're feeling there's something else there you can ask for

it to happen again.

It's pretty simple so you can do it on your own or you can watch this video again as many

times as you need to.

And yeah, so you should basically be feeling a lot lighter and a bit more open after these

chords have been released.

A little lighter, a little brighter.

I hope you've enjoyed this.

I'd love to know if you do enjoy this please like the video then I'll know

and subscribe to my channel as I am putting out a whole variety of these videos for dealing with heartbreak

and all the different things that you can with how to get over a breakup a little quicker.

Okay well thank you and have a beautiful afternoon... beautiful day.

Nepalese Food - Our best meal in Pokhara eating fish in Nepal - Duration: 11:29.

Well good afternoon from Pokhara (पोखरा).

Pokhara (पोखरा).

Apparently, that is how it is pronounced.

Not Pokhara.

Not Pokhara.

We've been saying it wrong for a few days but I finally googled it and it is Poker-Ah.

Pokhara.

Pokhara (पोखरा).

I'm sure we're still saying it wrong.

That is what we're going with.

And today we're going to be having some Nepali food.

We're at one of our favorite restaurants.

It is called Olive Cafe and their menu says something like European style with Nepali

flavor or something like that.

So we've specifically ordered their local specialties.

And my goodness traffic is just chaotic.

It sounds like there is a celebration.

Oh, let's check this out.

We'll zoom in to it.

Oh, it is blurry.

Come on focus.

Alright.

That looked like cricket.

Cricket bats whatever you call those.

You know what maybe the team that won is celebrating on the way home.

Maybe.

They won an important cricket match.

Yeah.

Anyways, the food should be here soon.

We've ordered a lot of different things to show you guys what the food is like here in

Nepal (नेपाल).

And it should be tasty.

Yeah!

So here is my fancy drink.

Mint lemonade.

And for the hubby.

And my not so fancy drink I'm just going for the local brewsky.

The local beer.

Everest.

So I've got Everest.

I've had this a few times now it is a nice refreshing beer.

Yeah.

Mmmm.

Do you feel like it gives you the strength to tackle Everest.

Oh yeah.

It is like the spinach for Popeye right?

You drink Everest beer and suddenly you have the ability to climb Everest.

Amazing.

That is exactly how it works.

Or at the very least Everest Base Camp.

The food is here and it looks amazing.

Check it out.

I'm having something called Chhwelā (छ्वेला).

And this is fish from the local lake.

It is marinated in secret spices.

That is what it says in the menu.

They won't even tell you what is in it.

I love that.

And it is barbecue.

That is the best.

In the tandoor oven according to the menu so I didn't even see this being prepared.

Secret spices.

But it looks so good.

If you look at that pieces of fish like they're so plump and oh my gosh this just looks fresh.

Do some more dissections for us.

More dissections.

Here we are in the science lab.

Yes.

I am dissecting the fish.

Exactly.

Anyways, I'm going to try some of this already.

It looks so good.

Wow.

Man, it looks like there is some tomatoes in there and maybe cilantro.

Mmmm.

Is it good?

Yeah?

That is really good.

I chose well.

The fish it is so soft.

It melts in your mouth.

I just had some kind of insect bite my elbow.

Oh my gosh.

If there is a little shaky that is why.

Sam's being attacked.

Bad camera man.

The mosquitos want the fish.

Hahaha.

This is so nice.

That is cilantro.

Little chunks of tomato.

Let me zoom in on that.

It looks like a little bit of a yellow curry.

Oh wow.

Man, you can see that so well now.

It is good.

And if you have a look at the plate here we've got some bread.

This looks like a chapati instead of a naan.

It is not quite as fluffy.

It is a little more flat.

Yeah, it is definitely not naan.

So I would compare it to pita bread if you're not familiar with chapatis.

That stupid is biting my elbow again.

Oh my gosh Sam.

I must have a really tasty elbow because it is the only place that it is going for.

Anyways, I'm using the chapati to get some of the fish.

This looks so good.

Yummy yummy yumma?

Oh yeah.

You're going to like this.

Yeah.

Oh, and vegetables.

Oh my gosh.

We get some carrots.

Let's not forget the carrots.

Raw carrots.

Those poor carrots.

There you go.

All neglected over there.

They are.

On the corner of the plate.

So we have Sam going in for his first bite of Choila (छ्वेला) and I have

to say you're looking very afro-y on camera.

You know what?

I'm at the stage now where I need to go to the barber and get a proper haircut.

And not only that but a shave.

A shave too.

So maybe that can be a future vlog.

Would you guys like to see that?

Would you like to see me getting a haircut and a shave?

In Nepal (नेपाल) or India.

To transform from Wolverine to clean cut.

You know what?

You don't look like Wolverine you look like a little bear.

Hahaha.

I'm just a little red-headed bear.

So fluffy.

Okay.

Anyways Choila (छ्वेला).

On to the food.

Mmmm.

Oh my gosh.

It is just such moist and tender fish.

Yeah.

And the spices are really nice.

Like um we didn't ask for it really spicy.

It is not as spicy as I thought it would be.

Yeah.

But it has a real rich flavor and I don't know what is in it because they wouldn't tell

us but it is secret.

It is a very nice well kept secret.

And they are obviously doing something well because I think this is one of the most popular

you know dishes that they have on their menu.

Yeah.

So it is good stuff.

Alright, moving on.

Well, you've tried my food.

Now time to introduce your dish.

So the one that I ordered was a Pokhara style curry.

And it comes with fish and we had the choice between chicken and pork I believe.

And let's stir that around a bit.

Oh la lah.

So you can see there is nice big chunks of fish over here too.

It looks really good.

It looks like the same fish they used for mine.

Yeah.

I'm sure it is.

So it also comes with brown rice.

Which is nice.

We had the choice between brown rice and white rice so we're making the adult decision to

get the healthier brown rice.

The healthier version.

I think brown rice is tastier anyway.

I agree with you on that.

So I'm just going to have a bite and then I'm going to go for a bite of rice.

So let's see what dish comes out on top?

You know what?

They said that this was a must try dish on their menu.

Yeah.

And I totally agree.

Like that curry is just so good, so rich.

It is like a thick flavorful curry.

And then because the fish has obviously been marinated and cooking in there for a long

time it is even I think it is even more tender than the fish from your dish.

Wow.

The fish from your dish.

That kind of rhymes a bit.

That could be a rap.

The fish from your dish.

Yeah, that is my bad attempt at rapping.

But uh yeah it is so good I'm going to have another bite with the rice.

So don't mind my thumb here.

You do have a knife.

I do.

And a fork and a spoon.

To make it work.

It is more fun to eat with your hands whenever you can.

Yeah that rice really compliments it well.

It helps sop up a bit of the gravy.

Okay my turn.

My turn.

You're going to like this one.

Okay, go ahead.

Let's see what this is all about.

Oh la lah.

It is still steaming.

I know.

It is hot.

I mean it is kind of a miracle that it is still warm because we spent a lot of time

taking photos of it.

Shooting video clips of it.

And then we ate yours first.

Isn't that awesome?

Mmmm.

That is just amazingly good.

You know the curry has lentils.

It is kind of like a dal base.

That is really nice.

Isn't that good?

It gives it a nice texture as well.

Yeah, try it with the rice.

Yeah.

The rice really compliments it I feel.

What do you think?

I like both of them.

I know.

We ordered well today.

And we've still got dessert coming.

We have dessert coming.

Dessert is coming.

Yes.

Fancy tea time for Sammy the Teddy Bear.

It must mean it is dessert right?

No, tea.

So just tea.

Well there is cake too.

So take a look at this.

I'm going to break the skin here.

Do la dooh.

So this is Nepali tea.

And I was looking at the ingredients.

Ah, I can smell it here.

So I think it is kind of similar to chai but there has been ginger and cinnamon added to

this one.

Cardamon.

Cardamon too.

Yeah.

I'm just going to try some.

It smells really good.

To me it smells like the holidays.

Like when you combine those spices it is just kind of Christmas-y.

It really is.

That is good.

It has got a really milky taste and you also taste the spices but yeah there has been no

sugar added which is kind of cool.

It has just got the natural milky tea taste.

And I like it.

It is warming me up.

It is getting a little chilly.

The sun is going down here in Pokhara (पोखरा).

So yeah.

Now what I've been waiting for.

The cake is melting while Sam takes sexy food shots.

So this is called Machapuchare Kiss (माछापुच्छ्रे).

I believe it is named after a peak if I got that right.

So it is a frozen cake with a cookie layer, some chocolate and a chocolate drizzled all

over top as well.

So it looks good.

Mmmm.

Do you like that?

Mmmm.

I sure do.

It is so good you're going in for more and you're not even describing it.

Oh my gosh.

Oh my gosh you know it is good.

Delicious is how I would describe it.

This part it is almost like a moist brownie.

The chocolate.

Yeah.

It has a moist brownie texture right in between the two cake layers.

Man.

So what say you?

I say I eye.

Alright Teddy Bear.

So apparently I get a bite too.

Yeah, you do.

How kind of you.

You only had like five before I got to try one.

You're welcome.

Okay.

I'm going to get some chocolate here.

Oh yeah.

Oh yeah.

What do you think?

Wow, that is so good.

I know.

It is just really decadent.

It is such a nice way to end what has been a wonderful meal.

It really is.

Our two main courses were amazing.

It really is.

And I didn't think I had a lot of room left for dessert but now that I'm trying this all

of sudden he does.

There is some room left over.

Okay guys, for something a little bit funny.

We trust each other so little to share the portions even-steven.

Like half and half.

That we actually often like something we really like if it is a dessert.

We will draw a line in the dessert, cut it off.

Sam got the bigger chunk.

Break it off.

Exactly.

Let me just say that.

You got the bigger chunk.

You had more than me already.

I got the raw end of the deal this time.

Not impressed.

Anyways, this is what we do to ensure we get an equal portion.

That is what Sam does.

I eat slowly.

Sam is like.

No, you're the one who decided for the line today.

Admit it.

Who picked the line today?

You were eating too fast.

And now it is time to pay the bill.

We got the bill.

Um, it came to roughly about $18 or $19 US dollars for all of that food.

Two mains, one dessert.

A beer and two other drinks.

So yeah, this part of the town is obviously a bit more expensive.

You can definitely find something cheaper.

But in terms of quality this is the best we've had.

This is our favorite restaurant in Nepal (नेपाल) so far.

Love this place and it is called Olive Cafe.

Oh my gosh.

I forgot the name for a second.

So bad.

I know exactly where it is from my hotel.

So when I know where somewhere is I just usually don't remember the name.

But is called Olive Cafe so if you're in Pokhara (पोखरा) check it out.

EJECT VIA PARACHUTE, AND HEARING

A LARGE CRASH FOLLOWED BY THE

SOUND OF LIVE ROUNDS, BEFORE

SEEING A PLUME OF BLACK SMOKE

AND A SMELL OF FIRE IN THE

WOODS.

ONE RESIDENT SAYS PIECES OF THE

PLANE FELL IN HER NEIGHBOR'S

YARD, DAMAGING SOME OF THE

HOME'S SIDING.

BUT EVERYONE KNEW THAT THE

PILOT'S QUICK-THINKING AVERTED A

DISASTER.

>> ONCE YOU REALIZED HE WOULD

NOT BE ABLE TO SAFELY LAND THE

AIR, HE MADE THE DECISION TO

MANEUVER TO A WOODED AREA TO

ENSURE PUBLIC SAFETY BEFORE

INITIATING THE EJECTION SEQUENCE

.

THE PILOT HAD ONLY A FEW MOMENTS

TO RELY ON HIS EXPENSIVE --

EXPENSIVE TRAINING -- EXTENSIVE

Mister Jesus (Warning: Satire) - Duration: 2:01.

A couple months ago, a guy on the street handed me a pamphlet about how to get into Heaven.

According to the pamphlet, it's not enough to be a good person.

Nor is it necessary to be a good person, because according to the pamphlet, the only thing

you have to do to get into Heaven is accept Jesus as your savior.

Here's a song about somebody who really believes that.

Used to be enshrined in sin Stole from friends and killed my kin

My guilty conscience weighed upon my soul But since then I've been redeemed

Read the Bible, now it seems My guilty conscience ain't so bad no more

Every time I kill a man Or his wife or dog or plants

I close my eyes and say a prayer or two Cause when I clasp those bloody hands

Sayin Lordy, Here I am I know he will forgive me through and through

Just last week I had a date I tied her up round half-past eight

Defiled her in her house upon a hill But I ain't worried, cause you see

I got the power of Christ in me I axed him to forgive me and he will

And so I thank you Mr. Mighty Jesus Christ For lettin me make things right

Don't need the laws of Tennessee The law of God's enough for me

I sinned but I have done and seen the light

Tuesday night, got in a fight He was wrong and I was right

I cut him open good and clean and wide I snuck up on him from behind, and

As he died it crossed my mind: Ain't I glad that Christ is on my side

Yesterday my friend and I Were beatin up some little guy

For cash and kicks cause we was kind of bored My friend said Ain't we forgettin somethin?

I slapped my knee and said By gumption, We forgot to praise the mighty lord!

Praise the lord!

And so I thank you Mr. Mighty Jesus Christ For lettin me make things right

Don't need the laws of Tennessee The law of God's enough for me

I sinned but I have done and seen the light

Sinned but I have done and seen the light.

Amen!
