Youtube daily report Apr 6 2017

South Korea and the U.S. have been quick to respond to North Korea's latest ballistic

missile launch. U.S. national security adviser H. R. McMaster

spoke by phone with his South Korean counterpart Kim Kwan-jin on Thursday, with both condemning

the Wednesday launch. McMaster said North Korea will be on the agenda

during the two-day U.S.-China summit in Florida on Thursday and Friday,... including stronger

sanctions on the regime. South Korea's nuclear chief Kim Hong-kyun

also held separate telephone talks with his U.S. and Japanese counterparts on the day

of the missile launch, with all parties condemning the provocation while agreeing to cooperate

on future response measures, including sanctions.

5 Tips To Help You Stay Grounded - Duration: 10:04.

Today's question

comes from

my Facebook group

We are changing the world

The question was asked there,

and I answered it there as well,

but I also

wanted to make a video

because I loved that question

and I want to share these tips

with you.

So, the question was:

What do you personally do

in order to stay grounded

or to ground yourself

when working with higher

states of consciousness?

Oh, I love this question,

I've got five tips for you,

they are very-very simple,

these are things that I do

every single day.

When we don't feel grounded

we become disconnected

from our physical self.

So, not literally

but there is this feeling

that you are not fully

occupying your physical body,

like you are not fully

present in the moment,

you are not fully focused,

not fully...

engaged,

your mind is busy.

So, for example,

I tend to get

ungrounded

when I'm working behind my computer.

So, if I'm working all day

behind my computer,

I want to make sure got some brakes

to go and do

one of those things

or a combination of those things

that I'm going to share with you.

So, if you spend

a lot of time behind computer

then you need to have a tool

to help you

become grounded,

you need to have some strategies

for grounding yourself.

Also, if you are doing

spiritual studies

or receiving

lots of spiritual energy,

high frequency energy,

then you also want to know

how to ground that energy.

Because

while receiving

spiritual energy

and meditating

and doing all those things

is really yummy,

it can...

make us feel as if

it's not applicable

to our current life.

So, we become...

disconnected.

So, there is part of us

that becomes spiritual,

and there is these energies

that we are working with,

and we aspire

to higher frequency energies,

and this beautiful...

state and space we go to...

But then

it's hard to...

make it integrated

into the physical reality.

So, what I like to do

is I want to make sure

that my spirituality

in my physicality

are one,

I am whole

at all times.

When I meditate,

and if you don't meditate,

then you should...

So, when I meditate every morning

and throughout the day,

one of the first things that I do

is I ground myself.

So, I imagine that...

I am a tree.

And that the roots

grow from my base chakra.

So, if I'm sitting like this,

which I do when I meditate,

then I'm imagining the roots

growing from my base chakra

into the earth

and then growing deep deep

into the earth,

anchoring me into the earth

all the way

to the core of the earth.

Sometimes it's not the roots

but what I see

is the anchor,

like the ship that drops the anchor

into the ocean,

kind of like that.

So, the anchor

is being dropped

into the earth

and anchors me strongly

to the earth.

Second thing is throughout the day

I try to get in touch

with the earth,

or get as close to the earth

as I can.

There are kind of three things

that I do.

So, one is

when I walk outside

I breath in

and out

through my feet.

So, of course, I breathe through my nose

but I imagine

and I visualize the air

going all the way down

into the earth

through my feet.

And that really has a grounding

effect

and making me feel present

and full in my body.

So, breathing in

and breathing out

all the way along my body

down down down

along the legs

and down into the earth.

And if you want

you can also breathe up

from the earth

or breathe

from outside

and into the earth.

So, that's one thing.

The other thing

I try to touch

the earth,

so I've got a little bit

of a backyard.

So, sometimes during the day

I just come out and I touch,

I touch the earth,

I touch her with my palms,

I touch her with my forehead,

sometimes I just lie down

as a starfish,

either on my tummy

or on my back

and really feel her,

feel the earth

and enjoy that connection.

And if I can't go outside

because it's raining

or cold

or for whatever reason

then I would do this on the floor.

So, I live on the ground floor

but even if you don't live

on the ground floor

you can still do that.

You can still lie on the floor.

For example,

one of my favorite things to do

is I love planning on the floor.

So, every morning when I plan my day...

this is one of the intimate things

I'm sharing with you,

every morning when I plan my day

I lie with my tummy

on the floor.

I just love doing that,

and it feels very grounding

and planning is something

that needs to be grounded.

So I just came out from my meditation,

my morning rituals,

and I go into my lounge,

and that's where I do

the planning for the day

before I have my breakfast,

So, I lie down

with my tummy on the floor

and I do my planning.

The third thing that

I do, and you can do too,

is moving your body.

So, I like dancing

and if you were in my house

throughout the day

or if you had cameras

then what you would see

is that I often dance in my house.

So, when I'm...

warming up my lunch

I maybe...

even if the music isn't playing,

I maybe start moving my hips

and my body

I dance in front of my computer

and I dance

when I move into the shower

and from my bedroom

into the lounge...

So, it happens...

spontaneously,

and a lot throughout the day.

One way it's just for me

to express my joy

because I feel really joyful

when I...

when I'm connected to my soul

and I'm doing my...

when I'm serving my soul purpose

I feel very joyful.

And that's one way of expressing it.

But also I find

that it helps me to...

get into my body

because I sit in front of a computer

some days for a whole day,

and so that really helps me to

feel my body

and be grounded.

And if I need extra support,

and that's my tip number four,

is I use First Light flower essences,

specifically those two

that I will recommend:

number 44 Kahikatea

which is a tree essence,

and it's for

balancing and strengthening

the base chakra.

The base chakra is the one

that helps us to feel grounded.

And it's also the one

that helps us to

create success

and structures and foundations

in our life.

So when our base chakra is swinging

or it's being weak

then that could be the reason

for feeling ungrounded,

fuzzy, unfocused

and having a difficulty

creating foundations

that lead to success.

So, really useful one.

And the other one is 77 Clematis.

Clematis is for the soul,

to support the soul.

And it supports the soul

in feeling grounded

in the physical world

but not being attached

to the physical world.

So, that's very useful, too.

And my tip number 5

could sound a little bit strange,

it's actually

something that I've experienced myself

recently,

and I found it amazing.

Recently

I have gone through a process

of eliminating

all sugar,

that actually includes fruit.

You don't have to go as far,

but for me it includes fruit as well.

So, all sugar

from my life,

as well as all grains.

So , all sugar and all grains,

when I eliminated that,

pretty much the next day

I felt super grounded,

super focused

and really clear in my mind

and that has sustained itself.

I found that was

incredibly powerful

that something like that

which I've been

connected to,

which I've been consuming

all my life,

you know, fruits and grains,

that was part of my life

every single day.

And when I eliminated that

from my life

I noticed this amazing effect

on my body

of feeling more connected

and more grounded

to myself,

feeling more connected to myself.

So, these are my tips:

number 1 is anchoring yourself;

number 2 is

getting in touch with the earth,

even if it's just lying down on the floor;

number 3 is moving your body,

maybe doing yoga,

dancing...

whatever you are into,

even exercise,

calisthenics

or...

weights,

whatever you are into, really,

but getting in touch with your body

through some form of

movement and exercise.

Number 4 is flower essences,

and number 5 is

look at your diet

maybe there are certain things

that are not so helpful.

I hope this serves you,

let me know if it does.

Batman, The Joker and Philosophy: Nihilism - That Sci-Fi Show - Duration: 8:11.

The Joker, created by Bill Finger, Bob Kane, and Jerry Robinson, made his debut in 1940

in Batman #1.

Since then, the Joker has appeared in tons of comic books, television series and movies

(both cartoon and live action).

At this point, I think just about anyone would agree that The Joker is a cultural phenomenon.

Most recently, he was portrayed by Jared Leto in 2016's (apparently Oscar worthy) "Suicide

Squad".

Each portrayal of the Joker has its own twist and a different version of his backstory,

sometimes even making it explicitly clear that even The Joker himself isn't sure of

his own past.

Now, I've touched on all of this before but my previous video focused mostly on Utilitarianism

and Deontologism.

Today, I want to talk about The Joker's most consistent character trait, his belief in

the philosophical doctrine of nihilism.

I think the "Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy" does a great job suming it up.

"Nihilism is the belief that all values are baseless and that nothing can be known or

communicated.

It is often associated with extreme pessimism and a radical skepticism that condemns existence."

So let's explore The Joker's coping mechanism (laughter and complete devotion to chaos)

in dealing with what he sees as the meaninglessness of life, particularly how the Joker's nihilistic

attitude could have originated from just one bad day.

*The Joker Talking* Let me ask you something. What does it matter if you send me back to the asylum if it doesn't matter to me?

I've proven my point; Gordon's been driving mad. I've demonstrated there's no difference between me and everyone else.

All it takes is one bad day. That's how far the world is from where I am, just one bad day.

This analysis of the Joker's character will reveal that while adaptations of the Joker

vary, the one thing that is always consistent is his nihilistic Mindset.

This author who's name I can't pronounce whom I will now call John, wrote the book Humor as a Response to Nihilism.

It describesnihilism as a force every human must reckon with, which arises as people contemplate their

own mortality, the nature of human existence, and see the futility and lack of meaning in

their lives because of life's inevitable outcome: death.

People cope with these existential questions in a few different ways.

Marmysz explained that people who dwell on the seeming futility of life can suffer from

malaise or "a general feeling of discomfort, illness, or uneasiness whose exact cause is

difficult to identify".

What does order, morality, and knowledge matter if life is truly meaningless?

Why not do whatever one wishes when we are all just going to die anyway?

Enter the Joker whose way of dealing with his own existential crisis was to devote himself

to chaos and laugh at the absurdity of life.

While most people find meaning in their daily lives and the things they do, the Joker feels

that their efforts are just meaningless attempts to maintain control, something they never

had in the first place.

The events as to how the Joker's physical abnormalities came to be are not consistent.

Infact, portrayals of the Joker (in terms of his backstory) are consistently inconsistent.

However, all Jokers are nihilists at heart, whether he's a prankster out to take over

Gotham City with a flying saucer or a mobster, driven mad, climbing to the top of the criminal

underworld.

Batman fans widely accept Alan Moore's acclaimed graphic novel Batman: The Killing Joke as

the Joker's likely origin story.

In this story, a failed comedian tries his hand at crime to support his pregnant wife.

She dies in a freak accident but by then it's too late to back out.

The comedian, dressed as The Red Hood, turns out to be a pasty and winds up in conflict

with the forces of good (you know... forces of the bat variety).

The Red Hood falls into a vat, and the chemicals inside disfigure him.

His skin turns a pale white, his lips turn red and his face is forever locked into a

gruesomely creepy smile.

This is the driving force behind The Joker, the concept that when enough bad events occur

to the same person, anyone can lose their love for life and humanity.

We are all just one bad day away from becoming the Joker.

Since The Killing Joke, this darker version of the Joker has been influential in all the

following portrayals of the character and as a result he's become increasingly nihilistic.

One Joker portrayal that visits the darker reactions to nihilism and the character's

devotion to chaos is Heath ledger's performance in The Dark Knight.

In this adapation, The Joker's commitment to chaos seems it's most complete and absolute.

It's interesting to note that Batman and the Joker both deal with nihilism in the Batman

series, but both react in opposite ways.

The Joker embraces the concept that life has no meaning and devotes himself to chaos, while

Batman becomes a vigilante on the side of justice.

The juxtaposition of the two character's stances create conflict.

The Joker tries to convince Batman to let go of conventions and embrace chaos, while

Batman tries to convince the Joker to adhere to societal norms.

The two arise as supervillain and superhero because of each other.

However, I would argue that it's the darker side of nihilism, which renders a villain

scarier than any monster, ghost, or bloody horror story.

While the Joker's reaction to the dark side of life is to laugh, always to laugh, there

is something unsettling in that.

Sometimes things can indeed be so bad that it's downright absurd.

The concept of a sociopath who is loyal to no one and as unpredictable as the very concept of chaos itself

is indeed an unsettling notion, making a formidable foe for Batman.

If you dwell upon the deeply nihilistic portrayals of the Joker, you'll find that the Joker's

complete devotion to creating chaos is no laughing matter.

Like Alfred says in the Dark Knight: "Some men aren't looking for anything logical,

like money.

They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with.

Some men just want to watch the world burn".

And THAT is scary.

AAHHHHH!

ALWAYS BE CAPTIONING! #SSSVEDA [CC] - Duration: 5:51.

I wanted to take a minute to sit down

and explain something to you guys about

what I'm doing. Where I'm at with the

VEDA and with the uploading content to

this channel in general. So here's the

deal: it is right now Tuesday, April

4th at 4:28.

Now, when you're watching this it's going to be Wednesday, April

5th, tomorrow. This is what happened: so

I was finishing the edit for today's

video, that I'm just about to upload

about how me and Andrew met and I

realized I have some footage in there

they didn't quite fit, and then I got a

second idea which was to take that

footage out and do my, oh, umm, and do a separate

video for tomorrow including that

footage plus when I'm doing right now,

plus a brief tutorial on captioning your

videos. Because in that video I explain,

or in the previous footage, I explain

part of what my shooting schedule is for

VEDA is the way it is because I need to

leave time to caption my videos.

I come up with like an editorial calendar

days for my content to help me

get through this VEDA month, so I have

the one that I'm using to, you know

record and prep and edit all my ideas and

then the corresponding day that it will get

published. Because in the past I've tried

to do the content creation and the editing in

the same day, and it just is really hard

to sustain. One trick with this is you do

more evergreen type content, topics or

issues that aren't temporal. But I do

want to be honest with you and authentic

and, you know, as much as I can what day

it is and give you a reference for where

I am in my week. So basically the point

of what I'm saying is that I'm creating

content two to three days ahead of when

you'll see it. Thanks for understanding

and I hope you still enjoy the content

and.... yeah.

And for today's video, as soon as I'm done

here I'm going to cut to my computer and

walk you through what I think is one of

the easiest ways to accurately caption

your video. The automated captions that

YouTube provides are actually called

"craptions" They've come a long way in

voice recognition but they've certainly not

come far enough. And many times grammar,

punctuation, syntax, even sometimes the

the spacing, the timing of the words

isn't lined up with what is actually

being said. There are other methods

through YouTube that you can caption. You

can upload scripts, you know word docs, ummm,

and you can also just do a straight

dictation. But again I'm going to show

you the way that I think is easiest

because it's having YouTube/Google do

at least half the work for you.

Thank you for watching, I really appreciate it.

And.... here we go!

So what you want to do is log into your YouTube dashboard and you'll

see your list of videos. Click on the

video that you want to caption or fix the captions of.

So you go edit.

And then you go up here to subtitles.

Now I want to show you that I've had my video as

unlisted. I basically I've uploaded this

about, oh, about a half an hour ago to let

YouTube do it's auto caption and

now I'm going to go in and make the correction.

So click subtitles...

and...

hit the automatic

and right now they are grayed out,

so you need to go

edit, then you can

hit spacebar to start,

I guess it's shift spacebar and it'll start playing.

So already I can see I have some things

that I want to fix. Make the capital H

hey everybody welcome to Sunday it is the

San Francisco Giants opening weekend

period

ummm

and then here is a mistake

so I am supporting my Giants

period, and it's not "dear we're big Giants fans" it's "here"

So, umm,

So this is basically just going through and,

fixing captions.

I'm not going to take you through this whole process but

when you're done click Save Changes and

then your captions will be accurate.

And be sure to put CC in your title or in

your description so when in search

people know that your content is closed

captioned. And yes that's it, so hope this

has helped you. I'm sure I'll do more

captioning videos in the future, but for

now that's it for today. Thank you for

watching. Please give this video a thumbs

up and I'll see you tomorrow. Thanks bye!

um (laughing)

umm!

I think why I say "umm" is because for me

it's also a breathing pause, but no

excuses! I still need to stop doing it!
