Real Madrid ready to pay Ronaldo's tax bill to keep him at the club and fend off Manchester United

REAL MADRID are ready to pay Cristiano Ronaldo's tax bill to keep him at the club. The ex-Manchester United star insists he wants to leave Spain after allegations of £12.

Cristiano Ronaldo could be set for a sensational return to Manchester United. He is so upset at being accused of tax avoidance he wants to leave Spain.

The Galactico even changed the picture on his Instagram account to a snap of him playing for Portugal.

But Real will do everything to keep Ronaldo and are priming an offer to extend his £365,000-a-week deal by a year AND pay off any demands from authorities.

The Spanish giants dished out a £365,000-a-week deal last November to keep him at the club until 2021. He will now get that extended by a year plus a signing-on fee to cover any demands from the authorities.

Cristiano Ronaldo is keeping his eyes on Portugals Confederations Cup campaign.

Real are determined to keep hold of their star, who inspired their Champions League triumph last month, and have slapped a £175million price tag on his head.

He also has an £874million buy-out clause on his current deal for clubs to speak to him over a sensational switch.

Manchester United fans would love Ronaldo to return to Old Trafford but boss Jose Mourinho does not believe the player is about to leave – and feels the club will pay his tax as part of a new deal.

This is how Cristiano Ronaldos Instagram profile currently looks, with no Real Madrid shirt in sight.

The 32-year-old, who does not drink a drop of alcohol and looks after his body so he can mix it with players 10 years younger, believes he has many years at the top, insisting after winning the Champions League last month.

He said: "My age is just a number, I feel like a young boy.

Manchester United in talks over deal for Alexandre Lacazette if Alvaro Morata transfer fails

Manchester United are holding regular talks with the representatives of Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to reports in France.

Jose Mourinhos side have made the signing of Alvaro Morata their top priority for the summer but LEquipe claim that United have kept in touch with Lacazettes camp in the event that they fail to reach an agreement with Real Madrid.

Morata has reportedly agreed to join Old Trafford but Madrid have made their position clear that they are not desperate to sell and are therefore holding out for a transfer fee in the region of €90 million (£79m).

Meanwhile, Arsenal held new talks with Lyons president earlier this week over a deal for Lacazette. The French club's president, Jean-Michel Aulas, travelled to London for further negotiations and explored the possibility of Arsenal using Olivier Giroud as part of the deal.

Lyon are understood to be holding out for €55 million (£48. 7m) up front with a further €12m (£10. 6m) in add-ons for the 26-year-old striker.

On Saturday, LEquipe claimed that Arsenal are leading the race to sign Lacazette and are holding more advanced talks than any of their rivals.

Borussia Dortmund have also registered their interest in Lyons leading striker with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang expected to move clubs this summer.
