Youtube daily report Jun 19 2017

Hey guys! Just wanted to do a quick intro for this video for you.

I've got a lot of videos that I filmed in May, and it's taken me longer to get them

up on the channel than I'd like, seeing that it's now almost mid-June.

So I have decided that, to speed things up a little bit, I'm gonna mash the two Dollarama

hauls that I did last month together into one video, so I can get that out to you faster

than having to do two separate videos, and upload them separately, and all that stuff.

In part because I did a really fun haul from Dollarama yesterday, so I'd like to get that

out to you, but I'm kinda anal and I wanna put them out in like, semi-date order, so...

This video is just two separate hauls that I did in May, mashed together in one video.

And then I will see you with a, hopefully more current haul, sooner than later?

So enjoy!

Thanks :-)

[Haul Number 1]

This video is mostly to blame on other YouTubers who do Dollarama hauls, because most of what

I picked in this haul was stuff I had seen other YouTubers hauling.

I actually went in for one, possibly two, things.

One was this right here, this white foam core, that I got to have sort of a brighter, cleaner

filming surface.

I'm still not in love with my lighting situation, I've made it a bit better, but I'm still not loving it.

But I like that you don't have to look at my kitchen counter anymore.

You can look-- well, I don't think I've made a video with my kitchen counter visible, but...

you don't have to look at it now! You can look at this lovely, clean, white foam core.

The one thing I picked up, other than the foam core, that wasn't the fault of YouTubers,

was this K & Company "Smash"... they're just like little sticky notes, that say,

"I Will Make This"; "Makes Me Happy"; Too Good... To Be True!";

"I (blank) it a lot!", and then "Like, Love, Want Need"; "I Wish I Had Come Up With That!";

"Do Not Forget. Seriously, don't you forget!"; and "Someday...".

I saw them when I was in Walmart-- err, Walmart? *Dollarama*, last time, and I liked them, but I put them back.

And then I decided, "Screw it, I'm gonna get 'em!"

So then these were my first impulse buy due to seeing it on YouTube: these letter stickers

that have, like, a woodgrain on them.

I had seen them before, and I didn't really want them at the time, and then I saw a YouTuber

haul them, and all of a sudden I had an idea of what to do with them, so I picked them up this time.

They were $1.25, just like the post-it notes.

I believe the foam core was $1.50 each...

I should have said that earlier.

Next up were these adorable sock monkey stickers.

They're neon for the most part, but they're really cute.

Again, I saw somebody haul these, and I was like, "Oh, those are really cute, why can't I find them?"

That was because I didn't find the other half of the sticker stash at Dollarama.

Half of it is in the - at least at the Dollarama near me - half of it is in the crafting section,

the other half is in the kids' section.

This was in the kids' section, so I grabbed these, they were $1.00.

And then finally I got these Disney "Tsum Tsum" stickers - and yes, I did have to look

that up, how you pronounce that, it's apparently pronounced, "soom soom".

I saw somebody haul these; they actually, I think the person I saw haul them got one

of every style, and there were like 4 or 5 different styles - there was the book, there

was the foil, there was an epoxy, there was a box of stickers - I just got these two.

I got this one - both these sets were $1.25 - this is a book of 6 sheets.

In hindsight I should have picked up the other book; this was the last one of the 6-sheet,

and there was one with 8 sheets, and it had the exact same character stickers in it, but

it also had two, um... they called them "scenes".

I don't know if that's a Tsum Tsum thing and I just don't understand it,

but I was like, "Well I don't need these, so I'll get this."

Now, why I didn't get the bigger pack, which was the exact same price, I don't know.

But I should have, because this is looking a little dirty and beat up, which should have

been my first sign.

So when I opened it up when I got home, you can see I am missing a sticker...

I believe it's the Donald Duck sticker, so it's not a huge deal to me, but... yeah, that

was kind of a bummer, but it's the only sticker that's missing.

So there's these... some of these are really freaking cute.

I had known about the Tsum Tsum stuff, but I hadn't really paid attention to it much,

because I'm not a big Disney collector, but when I saw these stickers in whomever's haul

it was that I saw, I thought they were really freaking cute.

So I decided that if I saw them, I'd pick them up, and I saw them, so I picked them up.

Only problem is, some of these are from movies that I haven't seen...

most of them are from movies I've seen, but... like I've never seen "Frozen"...

I know, blasphemy... so I mean I know what some of the characters are...

And these are just foil stickers of the characters...

I'll see if I can zoom in a little bit for ya...

Yeah, these are just cute little foil stickers... there's 62 in that one, and there's 103 stickers in this one.

So again for $1.25 each, got lots of stickers.

So that was it for the Dollarama haul, it wasn't too large, cuz I had gone in there

for one, possibly two things, and I came out with...

1, 2, 3, 4, 5... 6 things.

So I blame YouTubers for this [laughs], but that's okay because now I'm becoming one. So there's that.

[Haul Number 2]

Once again, I popped into Dollarama to pick up one or two things, and of course I didn't

just pick up one or two things because... evidently that's what happens when I go to Dollarama.

One of the things I popped in to get was two more of these Voltax adjustable desk lights.

You can see there, they're $4.00 each.

I have two already, and that's what I'm using to light-- you can see the reflection, I'm

using them to light this video.

But I find the lighting's kinda blotchy, like there's a lot of shadows in the corners and

stuff, sometimes it's harder to get good lighting in videos.

I don't know if the videos are going to go up in the order in which I film them, so you

may notice that videos that went up before this are better lit than this video is, because

I would have filmed with all four lights.

So if the lighting is like, inconsistent in my first handful of videos, that's why.

But yeah, these are four bucks each, they have just a tap on, they have three settings:

bright, brighter and brightest, and then off.

They take 3 AAA-- no, AA batteries, sorry. Three AA batteries each.

They're actually really bright. Like I said, if I hold this up, you can see the reflection from... there's one there...

one there... from the two lights I'm using to light this video.

And so... yeah, I'm hoping that adding two more will make it nice and bright and it won't

be so weird and blotchy.

The other item that I went into Dollarama for today were these self-laminating sheets.

Sorry if the lighting's changed, I kinda had to lower them a bit because it's really blowing

this out [laughs], cuz it's white and it's reflective.

It's supposedly reusable self-laminating sheets, they were $2.50 each, there's three in a pack,

which is a little bit disappointing, that there's only three.

But I picked them up because I'm currently making a sticker binder to organize all of

my stickers that I have for my journalling, based on various organizational systems that

I've seen videos for on YouTube.

And a lot of people have used like, cardstock, and they laminate it and they put it in a

page protector, and they washi tape stuff on, or glue stuff on, or whatever.

And I'll do a video about my organization system when I'm finished it, but... basically,

because I don't have a lot of money, I've been using packing tape as like, a poor man's lamination.

Because it works just as well... it takes longer, and it's kind of annoying, but it's

the same sort of thing, where you can tape stuff on, and then pull it off when you need it, and stuff like that.

So I've been doing that, but I went through the packing tape I already had, and then I

ordered two rolls on Amazon, and they ended up being wider rolls.

I had like, the little ones that you get at, like, um... well, here:

I bought one of these. This is the size I already had at home.

It wasn't this brand, the Elmer's brand, that was $1.50 at Dollarama, but it was like this,

where it's like, the small little one, and it's got, you know... a pretty good amount of tape.

And I already had one that was mostly full, and I used that up.

So then when I ordered the binder that I'm using for the stickers, I also ordered two

rolls of Scotch tape, and it was like the big packing tape, that's like twice this width.

So I was thinking, "There's plenty there, that's good", right?

Well, I'm almost finished the first roll, and I'm nowhere near being done.

So it's not quite working the way I thought it would.

So I thought I'll pick up some of these to try them; so I got two packs of these.

Next up, I ended up in the Canada Day decor section-- well, not necessarily decor, just... Canada Day "stuff", section.

They already had a smaller section that I had been in, in like the stationery-type area,

and it didn't really do anything for me.

But I'd seen people hauling, like... cute Canada Day stuff, and I was like, "Well where

are they putting that?"

I ended up finding it, it was in like the camping, outdoorsy-type section, for some reason?

So I got this Canada hat, which was $2.50.

It's not a great quality hat, but it's a hat.

And I've actually been wanting to get a white baseball hat, because the only baseball hat

I have that I wear is black.

And when it's super-hot and sunny out, a black hat's not a great idea.

So I've been wanting to get a white hat, I'm not really a hat wearer, I have it solely

for sun protection, so I figured, two and a half bucks, Canada... if it's not great

quality, it was two and a half bucks.

And then I got this beauty, which I saw Sandra's Hauls hauling a little while ago, and I just

thought it was so cute, and I was so bummed that I couldn't find it, I hadn't seen it, and I found it today.

It's a little notebook, with a hoodie for the cover, like there's the... and it's just, I think it's so cute.

And it's even cute in the packaging, like I almost don't want to take it out of the packaging.

It's just so ridiculously cute... and there's just black on the back.

It's this little Canada hoodie, it's so cute.

They have a grey one, too, and I've been really torn.

It's $3.00, I almost bought both, I might still go back and buy one, I don't know [laughs].

And then of course, you know I couldn't leave without looking in the sticker section, because...

that's what I do when I go in there.

They had these, which I didn't see last time.

I didn't think Dollarama rotated their stock out that often, but I've been back once a

week for the last three weeks, just cuz I keep needing stuff.

And they had these 3D paper stickers... well, they're not really stickers, if you look on

the back there's just foam adhesive stuff on the back...

I thought they were really pretty.

I actually grabbed about four different packs initially, and then when I did the math on

all the other stuff I was buying, I was like, "I can't justify buying four packs - I'm not

even that big into flowers!"

So I ended up grabbing these, because they were really the prettiest, these roses.

So they were $1.25.

And then finally I just bought a Skor bar, because it's good and I haven't had one in

a long time, and for some reason the other day I really wanted one...

There you go, I got some chocolate while I was at it!

North Korean man crosses border to defect to S. Korea - Duration: 0:44.

A North Korean man in his early twenties defected to South Korea early Sunday.

Seoul's Joint Chiefs of Staff said the man was spotted at the northern part of the mouth

of the Han River in Gimpo, and he is now being questioned by the military to find out what

led him to flee.

A South Korean soldier using nightvision equipment found the man crossing the river and followed

standard procedures for handling defectors.

The soldier guided the man to safety, confirmed his intention to defect and secured him in

custody.

His defection comes less than a week after a North Korean soldier defected to South Korea

last Tuesday.

Learn how to Cook Paella (en Español w/ English Subtitles) || Thousand Skills to Learn - Duration: 4:57.

Hello guys and welcome to the third video of Thousand Skills to Learn!

I am here with my Spanish Mom (host mom)

Hey, what´s up! I´m Nuria Gonzalez.

And today we are going to cook a Paella!

A typical spanish food that we´re going to make very simply, I´m not an expert on Paellas either.

But we are going to try to give ya´ll some guidelines for some of ya´ll that are excited to make a very good Paella or rice.

Now we will go to the kitchen, no?

Yes! Let´s go!

And we are going to be preparing the ingredients so that ya´ll can see what you need to buy!

I´m hungry!

Here, we have the ingredients.

Pepper

Tomato

Onions

Asapargus

Garlic

Saffron

Rice

And here we have shrimp

Clams

A little bit of salt

and olive oil.

So now we are going to wash the vegetables

and we are going to start the Paella!

First, we have to put the shrimp

into boiling water

to make a broth to later put into the rice.

And right now, we dice the vegetables.

Of course, it´s very important to wash the vegetables

before cooking with them, clearly, same with your hands!

put a little bit of laurel into the shrimp

and a little bit of salt.

And later we will use this broth to put in the rice.

Now, we are going to strain the broth of the shrimp, here

and save it for later.

I´m am putting a little bit of oil

And right now, I´m goldening the chicken

And then, a little bit of salt.

To continue, we prepare the vegetables.

First, I´m going to put the onions.

And to say that we are doing everything in 40 degrees (104 degree Fahrenheit)!

That´s what it is today in Madrid!

So, we are....we are going to eat Paella, at the time we are going forward!

Now, we have peppers

in continuation, we add asparagus

and lastly we add the diced tomatoes

and we put in salt.

With the heads of the shrimp

and the broth that we kept to cook them

we are going to make a small broth to put in the rice to make it a little more rich.

In continuation, we add the rice

it´s one cup for every person that is going to eat.

And right now, we crush the garlic and saffron.

Like this.

and with some water, we add to the rice.

Now, we add the chicken.

It looks good!

and lastly, the broth of the shrimp.

We are going to be adding it little by little.

And right now, we add the clams

Finally...

in order for them to open with the water.

and finally, the shrimp!

And that´s it!

I want to say thank you very much to my Spanish Family, ya´ll have changed my life :)

Le Cancre de Jacques Prévert Poetry Recital! [CC] Ep.7 - Duration: 1:35.

The Dunce, by Jacques Prévert.

He says no with his head

but he says yes with his heart

he says yes to what he loves

he says no to the teacher

he stands

he is questioned

and all the problems are posed

sudden mad laughter seizes him

and he erases all

the words and figures

names and dates

sentences and snares

and despite the teacher's threats

to the jeers of infant prodigies

with chalk of every colour

on the blackboard of misfortune

he draws the face of happiness.

I hope you enjoyed my recital of this poem.

I really enjoy doing these and it had been a few weeks since I did the last one, so I

decided to do another one!

The secret word of the week is "quest".

Now as previous weeks, just use the words in the comments and don't let anyone know

that I told you to use it!

Above me, you can see the comment of the week!

I've been told that it's hard to read these comments on mobile so I will be reading them

out from now on!

This is a comment from Plays and Parasols and she said: The Sherlock Chess book is the

weirdest thing I have ever heard of(about)!

I post videos every Sunday, I will leave you with my latest video on this side and on this

side a video I think you are going to really like!

I hope you have a fantastic week!

That's all from me!

Bye!

10 Uncomfortable Signs You're An Extroverted Introvert - Duration: 4:02.

10 Uncomfortable Signs You're An Extroverted Introvert

We all know about introverts and extroverts – but what about extroverted introverts?

Here are ten signs that you might be one.

1.

You purposefully schedule alone time after socializing.

You have to go to brunch for your best friend's birthday and you're looking forward to it,

but you also know that you're going to need some alone time to recharge afterwards.

2.

You're comfortable talking to people but most of the time, you'd rather not.

If you have to, you're great at communicating with others but you mostly choose situations where you don't have to.

3.

You're really fun and social – for a set amount of time.

For extroverted introverts, it's almost like you have a timer for how long you can be social.

You're out with your friends and having a great time, but eventually, the timer goes off and you know you need to retreat to a quiet place

to kick it alone for awhile.

It's not that you don't like being around other people but it's draining to you.

You need some time alone to rejuvenate.

4.

People think you're an extrovert.

You're social and fun and charming and you can make small talk with the best of them.

You have a lot of friends who you love spending time with.

You go out and try new things.

What people don't realize is that you're not an extrovert but an extroverted introvert who can only be extroverted for a certain amount of

time.

5.

You have to psyche yourself up for social interactions – even when you know you'll enjoy them.

Even when you know you're going to have fun with your friends, you have to psyche yourself up a little to be around other people.

6, You like being alone – in doses.

After a week of school and work, you're pumped to spend your Friday night laying in bed watching Netflix but on Saturday,

you're ready to be around other people again.

7.

You like when people pay attention to you – but only when you're at your best.

You don't mind being the center of attention on days where you're wearing your favorite dress or did your hair.

You like going out for your birthday, but you're not that person to announce it to everyone you see.

8.

You love going to parties but you also make sure you have an escape route.

You're that person who volunteers to drive to the party so that you can leave whenever you want.

You want to go but you also know you'll probably leave sooner than anyone else in your friend group.

9.

You make plans when you're feeling extroverted but then the time comes and you want to cancel so bad.

You made a plan for dinner with an old college friend when you were feeling extroverted but now the time has come and all you want to do is

stay home and be by yourself.

Would it be really rude to cancel 10 minutes before?

10.

You can hold up your end of the conversation and you're a great listener.

Being an extroverted introvert means you inhabit the best of both worlds – you're an awesome conversationalist and you're an adept listener.

Jackpot!

Lockheed Martin about to close US $37 bil. F-35 fighter jet deal: Reuters - Duration: 0:56.

U.S. weapons maker Lockheed Martin is reportedly set to clinch a deal to sell a record 440

F-35 fighter jets to a group of eleven nations including South Korea and the United States.

Reuters cited two people familiar with the talks on Sunday, who said negotiations are

in the final stages for a deal worth more than 37 billion U.S. dollars.

It would be the largest agreement for the stealth jets ahead of its Paris Airshow debut

this week.

The sale represents a major shift in sales practices from annual purchases to more economic

multi-year deals that lower the cost of each jet.

This is set to consist of three tranches over fiscal years 2018 to 2020.

Although the sources said prices are yet to be finalized, the average price of each jet

over the three-year period was expected to be 85 million dollars.

North Korea says its diplomats were 'mugged' at New York airport - Duration: 0:53.

North Korea is claiming its officials were "mugged"... and had a diplomatic package forcibly

taken from them by U.S. authorities, at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport.

North Korea's state media says the diplomats were returning from a Friday UN conference,

on the rights of persons with disabilities, when the alleged incident took place.

The North branded the U.S. as a "lawless gangster state" over the episode... adding that the

international community needed to seriously reconsider, whether New York City was a suitable

host for the UN General Assembly.

The White House and the State Department had no immediate comment, although tensions between

the U.S. and North Korea have risen sharply... after Pyongyang's release of American student

Otto Warmbier, who was brought home in a coma.
