Hello everyone, I'm Angeline.
It's been half a year since the day I arrived in Korea.
There were many of you inbox asking me regarding my stay in Korea.
How does my goshiwon look like?
Wish to look around the environment of this goshiwon.
Rooms' condition... etc
So today, I'm going to show you around my goshiwon
and also explain the facilities of this goshiwon.
For those who are planning to study in Kyung Hee University,
this video would be a good refer for you to find your stay here
by showing you one of the good goshiwons in this area.
I would say that this is the best goshiwon I've found this area.
So today I will bring you all to look around.
But for now,
I would like to let you all see the outside environment of this goshiwon.
Firstly, this is the front door.
Just press the button and you may go out.
Be careful of the staircase.
This is the street outside of my goshiwon.
One of the reasons I like this goshiwon is because
it is facing the main street.
Even in late night, I do not worry about coming home late
even though Korea is quite safe.
But sometimes you still need to be cautions about your own safety
and choosing goshiwons facing main street would be a good choice.
Comparing to the goshiwons that are located in alley or back lane,
I do think that my goshiwon is a better choice.
Now let's go in!
This is their signboard - Art Oneroomtel.
And this is the place where they put on their often worn shoes.
Let me change to my slipper.
Remember to put it back neatly.
This is the second floor.
Second floor is shared by males and females,
but most of the time I saw the people staying this floor are guys.
Second floor doesn't have anything special.
This floor doesn't have the kitchen.
The kitchens are at the third and fourth floors.
So now let's go to the third floor, which is also the floor I'm staying at.
Third floor is wholly privated for females only.
Coming into the staircase in between second and third floor,
there are 5 rubbish bins which you have to do garbage classification here.
First one would be the Paper,
this is for the big sized box kind of paper.
Glass, can, styrofoam kinds of garbages.
Plastic
Plastic bag
This one is for not recycled garbage.
Korea is really strict on garbage classification.
Therefore almost every house will sort their trash properly
before throwing out to the side street.
There are a lot of CCTV all around the Korea,
if you simply throw rubbish on the street or not sorting the trash properly,
you will be caught easily and fined up to an amount.
For those who are visiting or staying here, please beware of this,
specially in doing garbage classification.
This is the first room (311) at third floor.
Let's have a look.
Actually I think this room is quite spacious.
This is the table,
cupboard,
wifi, and the toilet is quite big similar to my room toilet.
This is the best part of the room!
This room has 3 cupboards of wardrobe.
Bigger than the one I have in my room
which makes me admire this room.
But nevermind, I still prefer my own room.
This is the bed
and also a facing outdoor window.
Air conditioner is here.
This is the third floor.
This is my room (310) and we will be going in afterwards.
This room was the one I stayed in before when I just arrived in Korea.
For those who have watched my previous videos, surely you will know the condition of the room.
This room (307) is a standard sized room.
This is how it looks like.
A bed, a facing outdoor window,
a table, a chair, a refrigerator,
a television, a bookshelf,
and also a cupboard.
Those hangers are leftover by the previous room owner.
For me, this toilet is not bad as I do not need it to be that big.
I adore this window because my room has only a facing indoor window.
There is also a hanger bar at above.
Here's the mirror.
Now let's go to the next room (305), which is also the biggest room at this floor.
The size of the room is approximately 10 meter square.
When you enter into the room, there will be a table and a bookshelf,
and the toilet is at the another side.
A cupboard,
a bed, a super big sized window,
and also this 3 cupboards of wardrobe.
This is very very big.
Oh, they do prepare blankets too.
So that people who are staying in do not need to bring those heavy blankets all along from their home countries.
This is the air conditioner.
A TV, an independent WIFI, a refrigerator.
And also the plug sockets.
However, please be reminded that for those who are first time visiting Korea like me,
The plug socket in Korea is different from Malaysia.
Therefore, you have to bring at least two adapters here.
Every room has its mirror on the door,
so that you can have a look on yourself before going out.
Oh my god, I got so fat but nevermind.
Also, every room has its own private toilet.
You do not need to worry about sharing with the others.
Actually I really adore this room (305)
because it is really spacious.
But different rooms' rentals fees vary according to their sizes and I do not need my room to be that big.
The room I'm staying is the second largest room here and I'll show it to you soon.
This is the vacuum cleaner.
It's charging right now.
When you want to use, just do it like this...
Remember to put it back after using.
There is a shoes cabinet here.. but I don't know who's using it.
This is the most important thing here - water dispenser as I do drink a a lot of water everyday.
There are hot and cold waters.
Every restaurant out there has the similar one.
You need to press the both buttons in order to let the hot water flows out
while for the cold water, you just have to hold one button is enough.
Now let's see their kitchen and laundry facilities.
This is the garbage classification - not recycled garbage and the plastic bag.
Normally the plastic bags of the ramyeon are thrown here.
This is the washing machine.
They do provide free detergent,
so you can unlimited using it but please do not waste it.
This is the microwave,
There are also free kimchi
and free eggs supplied here.
I would have at least one egg for each day.
And yea, they have a kettle here
and an ironing board at the side.
This is the kitchen.
The space is really narrow here,
but I already get used to it now.
They have free supply of rice too.
They will cook it everyday.
Besides, they also have a variety of ramyeon noodles free for you to eat.
This one has no seasoning powder,
which is the only one I can eat here because the others contain beef flavouring powder inside.
At the side, there are cups, plates and bowls for you to use it.
These are the cutlery and cooking utensils.
This is where you dry your plates, etc after washing.
There are a lot of bowls here so you do not need to buy one when you move in here.
But still I bought one bowl for myself just in case the bowls are all used by the others.
Here's the pots.
This is the electronic stove.
And this is for the food waste rubbish.
They have these big sized windows are because of
they do not have the air-extractor here.
If you did not open the window while cooking and the smoke is thick in the kitchen,
the fire alarm will ring as it is very sensitive to smoke.
This is really embarassing... but...
the second time I cooked here, I forgot to open the window...
the smoke is very thick..
and causing the fire alarm rang for a while... ><
So everyone please don't be like me...
When I first arrived in Korea, it was the winter season.
When I opened the window, it was super freezing and therefore I did not cook for that few months.
What I did was taking the ramyeon and put in the microwave and heated it up for 3 mins.
As it was freaking cold at the moment.
I couldn't stand the cold at all.
Recently only started cooking my healthy meals for dieting.
Now let's go and see the fourth floor!
When you come out from the third floor,
you will see shoes lockers
and each of the rooms has its own shoes locker.
This is mine.
It's fully packed...
Let me take out my shoes.
Now we are going up to the fourth floor.
In between the third and fourth floor,
you can see through the glass and look at the outside view.
There are chairs for you to sit too.
This floor is shared by males and females.
The kitchen in this floor is much much better than the below one's.
As you can see,
it is much spacious than the below one's.
For those who are staying in third floor,
when you want to cook and the kitchen is using by someone else, you can come to the fourth floor instead.
There are two stoves here.
There are also two washing machines here.
It is quite convenient.
This is the water dispenser.
There is a small table and chairs too.
Before going up to the rooftop, there is a small staircase.
Normally I'll change to another pair of shoes to climb up
because it is the metal type of staircase.
Here's the rooftop~~
You can hang out your clothes here.
You can also enjoy the beautiful view here.
The view of Hoegi-dong.
You can have some relaxing time sitting here.
Actually I don't really climb up here to hang out my clothes
because I think it's quite annoying climbing up and down.
Also, I'm living alone here.
When it's raining, I can't ask my family to help me keeping my clothes.
At the same time, I don't like to annoy my friends to ask them doing the job for me.
Normally I will just hang out my clothes in my room.
Now let's go and have a look into my room.
But wait a minute,
there is a room here.
This is the fifth floor.
I think this is the biggest room in the whole building,
but it is really inconvenient to climb up and down this staircase.
For me, it is quite scary to climb up and down this staircase
even each time you want to drink or refill your water bottle.
Therefore I don't really like this room.
Here's my room!
Okay... I know it's quite messy...
but don't judge me because of this.. T.T
Now I'm going to show you all how's my room looks like.
This is where I hang out my clothes.
This is my bed.
These are my babiessss.
This is the cupboard
and this is the table.
The room has its own private WIFI and TV although I seldom watch it.
These are the MOOMINS that I'm collecting recently!!
I still need one more!! The last design T.T
Above are the photo of me and my best friends and also a letter from another best friend.
This is the place where I keep all my snacks.
These are my books, skin care products,
and this part is MEDICINE area.
It's all medicines!
Whenever I'm sick, I don't go to the hospital or clinic.
The plug socket.
This is the another cupboard for my clothes.
That's all you can see, bye.
This is the private air conditioner which you can control it yourself.
Let it on for a moment as it's quite hot now.
This is my toilet.
Okay, enough seeing it.
This is where I kept my two luggages.
This is the basket where I put in my dirty clothes.
And yea.. This is how my room looks like. ;)
Look at my MOOMIN~
It is my best companion here to sleep with me every night.
These are all my babies.
Say hello to everyone~
This is my small bed.
It's quite small that sometimes I even kick my blanket out of the bed.
Anyways, I'm quite small size..
the bed is just fine to me.
My room is considered the second largest room here.
If I'm not mistaken, the size is about 8.9 meter square.
It is quite big and spacious.
This room is enough big for me.
I don't need the largest room.
The one thing I don't like about the room is the window...
As my room is located in the middle of third floor,
I only have a small interior window which is facing the corridor instead of having an exterior window.
Although it's a little bit stuffy here...
they have this ventilator installed in my room
and there's one in the toilet too.
You don't need to worry that much.
Everyone who is watching this video,
if you think this video is useful to you, please remember to give me a 'like'
and also 'subscribe' my channel!
I will be uploading more videos soon.
For those who are coming here to study,
I really hope that this video does help you to understand better about the goshiwons in Korea.
TBH, there are good and bad goshiwons.
The price range of goshiwons' rental fees for this area
is from 350k won up till 600k won.
However, for the goshiwons in more popular area,
the price range might be higher.
Or in non-popular area, the price range might be lower.
Sometimes you may have question like 'Why my room is smaller than yours while we are paying the same fees?'
but it all depends on the population of the area you are staying.
That's all for my sharing today!
See you in my next video! Annyeongggg~!
We just called for pizza delivery!!
Bacon and shrimp pizzaaaa!
Let's eat!
PASTAAA!!
