God this camera angle sucks.
Hi everybody, I'm Amanda the G.
A few weeks ago I talked about a soup that I made and I had a suggestion to make that
for y'all so that's what we're doin' today.
I will leave a recipe for the soup in the description down below it is also on my Tumblr.
But what you'll need are potatoes, some carrots - I have purple carrots cause I like them,
shallots, uhh...celery, green pepper, s- mushrooms, water, some unsweetened vanilla almond milk
which they were out of when I went to the store so I have unsweetened regular almond
milk, bullion, chili powder, garlic salt, ground ginger, some basil, cayenne pepper,
and, of course, some oil.
I am going to make it in my lovely dutch oven.
If you are wondering, this is a three and a half quart dutch oven.
A little bit of your oil and put it in the pan and then turn on your burner to like medium
high.
I'm not much of a chef so please don't really judge my knife skills that much.
Once that pan is heated up, you just add your shallots to it.
If you wanna look like a professional, put everything into bowls.
Make sure you keep stirring those so you don't burn it.
Does anybody know why potatoes get all sticky and stick to your knife?
I have no idea.
Once these are a little brown and cooked down a little bit, then you add your broth and
your milk (sizzling) and then let that get a little bit warm again.
So, into here you just add all your vegetables and all of the mushrooms too.
And then add in a little bit more spices because this is kind of bland the way it is.
Garlic salt means you only have to add garlic salt and not garlic and salt.
I really like cayenne pepper and I really like spicy things, so I put a lot in.
But if you don't like spicy things, don't put as much in, k?
Put the lid on, leave it at this temperature until it gets to simmering, turn the temperature
down a little bit and then you let it cook for honestly an hour.
And if you're like me and you don't like your soup to just be soup and you like to have
bread with it, then buttermilk biscuits.
And I am totally cheating out and getting one of the tube thing-a-maggigers.
Parchment paper on the baking pan so you don't have to worry about cleaning it later.
I hate this part, I hate this part so much.
I know it's coming.
It's going to pop at some point and you never know when it is but you know it's gonna happen
and scare the piss outta ya anyway.
Always creeps me out.
Aw damnit.
It's not gonna pop.
(groan) I hate this part! (smack)(smack) eehh (crash) Oops!
It's fine, nothing happened.
Then just shove it in the oven.
Um...
Move your precarious surface first.
Ignore the smoke and that smell coming out of it cause you just forgot to clean up the
bread that was in there and exploded everywhere.
That's really it for this recipe.
It's really simple.
You just shove it all in there and leave it on the stove for an hour and then come back
later.
Again the recipe is in the description down below, it is also on my Tumblr which is amandatheg.
If you tried out the soup, please let me know and leave me a comment down below to let me
know what you think about this video and about this soup recipe.

MWAH!
For those of you that do not know my kitchen by the way, I have all this counter space
and I have counter space all over there but it didn't fit on camera so I had to have a
TV tray on top of two boxes.
