Youtube daily report Apr 3 2017

Travelling is to aim for the horizon, as Kavadias says,

It's the road, to sleep under the stars,

to bond with new places and new people,

To get yourself in crazy experiences,

to test and get tested,

...mainly to test the food!

Good morning

I am in one of the most important ancient monuments

not only from Greece, but for the whole world.

I am in Ancient Olympia.

Good morning!

I was for about 4 months in Pyrgos Elias.

Today I hit the road again.

The basic plan is to ride around Peloponnesos.

It's going to take about a week, maybe 10 days...

Today I am heading to Vytina...

So I just arrived in Vytina.

Everything looks good, I am going to have a coffee until the rest of the guys arrive.

I will have some company in Vytina, Stergios and Alexandra are coming (worldvespa.net)

Come...., come here.....

Nice to meet again!

Red sauce for our pasta and sausages....

Is it a traditional sausage from a Vytina?

I don't know from which village excacly....

Is Vytina famous for a local traditional product?

- Honey...

- How about traditional cheese and wine? - Wine no. Its too high for that...

There are some creameries around...

But the small traditional family units that used to exist and make a good quality product became too big.

If somebody looks for a unique quality in a product should look for it here..

If the product doesn't have a unique quality anymore the buyer will buy the product from anywhere.

If we have a walk around you will see that in the local traditional shops they event sell cranberries nowadays.

I hope the guys with the cranberries won't take it personally

- Cheers, Constantinos - Good to meet again!

- Never stop! - I never stop!

Second day in Vytina and the weather had a surprise fo us.

The prediction was for rain but eventually it's snowing.

Good morning, good morning!

Just left from Vytina. I was there for 3 days with the guys...

I am St. Theodora of Vasta.

The famous church that has 17 trees on the roof and there are no roots that are visible under the roof

I am in Ampelionas village...

I think it is time to make a stop for a coffee here...

I just arrived in the Temple of Epicurius Apollo...

Am I allowed to enter this?

I am at the temple of Epicurius Apollo.

It is build on the plateau of Kotilo mountain, in the altitude of 1130m

A small English lesson.

I hope this leads somewhere on the other side.

Otherwise I will have to ride all this dirt road back.

I am at Neda

This is Neda.... The only Greek river with a female name.

I just checked the map and it looks like there is a road leading where I am heading..

I will have to take my chances. I dont know the condition of the road

I assume it is going to be like the one I rode down here.

I am going to pass above the stone bridge

I hope everything goes alright.

F..ck

It's steeper than it looks like.

That was the double stand...

I made it to Filiatra...

I am just before Filiatra. There is a small settlement here named Stomio.

I have two neighbours. From Austria and England.

The sun is setting... Everything goes well.

Good morning, Good morning

Yesterday I camped in a beautiful place and today I rode about 10 km to check out the Kyparissia's Castle.

From up here there is a view to all of the surrounding areas, the town of Kyparissia and the small port.

On the rock above Voidhokikia beach there is the ancient ruins of Voidhokilia.

I made it.

I had to pass from a small path next to the fenced area of the ancient ruins....

I wouldn't recomend it during summertime because here is a snake paradise...

maybe bears as well.

Through this little forest.

And this is Voidhokilia beach.

I am in Pylos Castle, known as Niokastro (new castle)

They build it to replace Paleokastro (Old castle) known as Castle of Navarino and its on the hill behind me.

After Voidhokilia, there is Gialova Lagoon and then the physical port "Gulf of Navarino"

I want to go the edge...

I am in Koroni....

and I came to visit the castle of the town.

lets go!

Does it lead enywhere?

Pitch dark.... Slippery....

I can see the exit..

wow... thats amazing.

And here is the exit.

You can walk about everywhere in the castle.

The guy that has the animals told me not to walk on the grass because the animals will not eat it.

He also mentioned that there are a lot of wells over here so I better stay in the path.

You can not spot the wells in this place...except if you fall in...

If you fall into one then you are sure that you found it....

Except of the wells there are also "mines" here....

The kind of "mines" that animal leave behind....

if you know what I mean... You better be carefull.

"This is me, 5 days after. Please give me a response, over"

Noise. Inaudible frequency But I know you are shining somewhere far away

"This is me, 6 days after. Please give me a response, over"

We broke up because of something so trivial. The thing connecting us is...

sly... on the sly...

"This is me, 7 days after. Please give me a response, somehow..."

You can actually hear me, can't you? You're laughing at me, looking like you see right through me, aren't you?

The me from 7 days ago is growing farther and farther away. The one smiling next to me...

"Who was it again? How strange..." The sky is so red the color is so nostalgic, for some reason

"...The third response..."

=====I love you, who resemble me, who in turn resemble you, who in turn resemble me

Other than leaving you, I don't know of any other way that wouldn't hurt you=====

"I'm sorry."

"This is me, 10 days after. I've received your reply. Thank you"

The only words I could make out through the intermittent connection were

"I... don't... know... you"

Art Portfolio 3: Gold Edition (3rd in a 4-part series): Item Episode #8 - Duration: 9:15.

Welcome to the ElfQuest Collector's Guide, showcasing a

different collectible or unboxing video in every episode.

i'm your Pack-Leader for this Hunt, Mandy Roncalio-Meyer, or as i'm known around the

ElfQuest Web-World as my Elf-Self, Shadowfire! today, we're gonna be talking about Art Portfolio

3, part 3 in my 4-part series about the art portfolios that feature Wendy's wonderful artwork...

*off-camera laughing from the Lifemate* hahaha, i'm sorry!

you ruined my take because you were laughing

at how many times i go, "art, part, fart," huh?

*off-camera* art-fart-fff-- Art fart part fart fart fart...

*off camera* 3-part series in my 4-part art fart... f--fart...

that was a good take too, and you had to laugh at me!

*off camera* it was too good! and i tried to say it---

*off camera* fart-art-part... and i had to say it with a straight face,

'cause i KNEW i was saying it, too! *laughs*

QUIET on the set!

Art Portfolio 3 was published by Schanes and Schanes and distributed by Pacific Comics

in 1982.

it comes in 2 distinct variations: one with orange lettering and only 12 plates, the other,

has gold lettering, was limited to 3,000 autographed and numbered copies, and features an additional

2 plates to the original 12. all of the plates from both variants measure 9-by-12 inches,

and the images used on them were originally printed on the back of the WaRP Graphics Magazine

Sized editions.

you can watch my video on that set by clicking the link down in the description below.

alright, let's open it up and get a peek at these prints! so, as you guys can see, i do

have the gold-lettered edition.

i used to have the orange-lettered edition, but then i found somebody that i could trade the

gold-lettered edition for, and they were cool with it, so, i traded up! i love trading!

alright, so if you open on up, right on the inside of the cover, you can see, there's

this nice little image right here of Wendy and Richard, back in the day, and up here

is where Wendy has signed the portfolio, and right here is where you will find the number

for that portfolio.

my number is number 1,077. and then if you go on the other side, where all of the prints

are actually kept, if you look behind them, there's actually a nifty little Artist Profile

right there for Wendy.

so give that a little read if you have this portfolio, it's a nifty little read.

so check that out!

alright guys, on to the prints! plate one features our favorite Chief of the Wolfriders,

Cutter. and this is actually my favorite plate of this set! i actually had this one in a

frame until i went to record this episode, and then went, "uh-oh, i gotta pull that one out!"

so here he is, fresh outta the frame, just for this episode, guys! my favorite plate,

plate number one! now i'll warn you guys right now, i'm probably going to say "favorite"

a lot with this one, because actually this portfolio is my favorite of the art portfolios!

with this image this is plate number 2, and this is my favorite image of Leetah, i actually

have a shirt with this image of her on it.

i think it's absolutely gorgeous, it's got the Line of Beauty written all over it, and

it's gorgeous, it's Leetah, the beautiful Healer! plate 3 features a young Rayek, back

before all the troubles that he's gone through.

plate 4 features trickster Bearclaw and his Lifemate Joyleaf.

plate 5 is a great little family image of Treestump, Dewshine, and Scouter.

plate 6 features the Wise and Caring Mother of Memory, Savah.

plate 7 features Picky Picknose, and i just wanted to bring up an interesting little detail.

on the back of the portfolio cover, it also shows a little preview of the, um-- plates

available, minus the two special ones for the gold edition.

and it's very interesting because if you look at the preview picture for Picknose, he's

actually in a green outfit, where as in on the actual plate, he's in the reddish-brown outfit.

now, i don't know the exact reason for the color change, but maybe someone can fill me in

if you know the reasoning, uh-- go ahead and leave it down in the comment section below,

guys and i'll try to mention it in a future video, if i find out the exact reasoning;

W-why is his outfit green here, and red here?

do you know? comment below!

plate 8 features the adorable little cubs of the Tribe, Ember, Suntop, Wing,

Newstar, and Dart. and of course, Ember's holding good ol' little Choplicker, right there.

plate 9 features my favorite image of Skywise.

plate 10 features fan-favorite couple Redlance and Nightfall.

plate 11 features my personal favorite couple, Moonshade and Strongbow.

and plate 12, which is the last one in the orange-lettered set,

features the Wolf Pack. now once again guys,

i said this in my WaRP Graphics episode, i don't know all the names of the wolves and

i'm not even going to attempt them, because i don't wanna get them wrong.

so, i know there's a couple of places you can find online to find the names of the wolves

featured in this picture, and one of these days when i go to talk about the wolves i'll

know the names.

i promise guys, SOMEDAY!

now, for the last 2 plates, they feature not just a portrait

of characters, but of more a moment within ElfQuest.

the first one of the two special plates for the gold-lettered edition features Cutter

and Leetah at the moment that Cutter snatched her up to kidnap her out of the Sun Village.

and finally, the last one is another image of Skywise, that was actually used on the

very first issue of ElfQuest Volume 2.

currently, Art Portfolio number 3 is the easiest one to find, and it tends to run for about

$30 on eBay for the orange-lettered edition, and around $60 on eBay and Amazon for the

gold-lettered edition.

now it's time for Reading Your Comments! under one of my previous Item Showcases, Michael

Menno S. Martin - Better Way Alliance - Duration: 2:37.

Fair job practices are important to us.

Our philosophy that we run the business by is putting people first.

I think one of the most often heard misconceptions of providing decent wages is that it's too expensive.

So they're just looking at their direct payroll costs, they're not taking into consideration

training costs and costs of bringing in new employees.

They just look at "if I pay someone $1 an hour more, that's coming directly out of my pocket".

But we look at the long term viability of the company and we feel that paying a decent

wage leads to that long term viability.

Menno Martin started the company in 1942.

I've been here for 30 years.

In the construction industry, there's a lot of issues around, not employing decent work

practices- safety being a major one, Ministry of Labour regs aren't followed.

You know those are often the first things that people cut out because they don't value the workforce.

But it creates an unlevel playing field for the rest of the industry.

As the homeowner, you're exposed to different liabilities that you wouldn't be if you hired

someone that's operating above board.

There's certainly been increased discussion since we announced our living wage stance.

We actually had one of our subcontractors, he was just in the hiring process for a staff

member and when I approached him about living wage and wanted to get him on board, he decided

to bump up his bottom wage grid to meet the living wage standard.

I think if I could say anything to other businesses, I would say it's not the scary thing that

you might think at first.

There are increased short-term costs, but those are just short-term costs to providing

a higher wage, but if you look at the overall business cost over a year or multiple years,

you're gaining those back, multiple times.

There is a movement out there.

It just raises the bar in the community.

It also sets your business up to a higher standard as well.

So I would say, just get out there and do it.

Propuesta NYX FACE AWARDS ESPAÑA 2017: Van Gogh | Belleza a lo Glam - Duration: 6:25.

Your face is...

a blank

canvas

So guys... don't I look extra cute? Didn't it turn out well?

so let us begin...

I'm going to use

a concealer palette

to create strokes

because the thought behind this look

is to look a bit Van Gogh

I alternate colours

because as you may have realised

Van Gogh alternates shadows and lights

so every stroke represents shadows and lights

hence that's what I've done

I used the concealer palette

and a flat brush

with a liner brush

I create strokes on the lips

just like I did on the face

please just look at how GORGEOUS I am

so I just carry on drawing strokes

I'm using the soft matte lip cream

in shade Abu Dhabi

to create strokes on my lips

because it's a nude tone

basically the same colour as my lips

so again, I'm doing shadows, strokes with my lip colour

and lights too

Using this NYX..

I can't remember what it's called! (Panic)

Sorry, little lapsus

Using the NYX Eyeshadow Base

I just apply it all over the lid

to have a nice, even tone

which will allow the eyeshadow colours to pop out more

I now trace the shapes from Starry Night

by Van Gogh - which is what I'm going to draw on my lid

Now what I'm doing is creating

the most significant shapes from the painting

from Starry Night

I've done the white turbulence-thing

the stars and the moon

for the stars, what I've used has been yellow shadow

and then I've made the strokes with the vivid brights eyeliner in yellow and white

Using the angled brush...

angled?

well with an angle -

it's the eyeliner brush by NYX

I'm drawing the bushes

or the black shapes or whatever from the painting

didn't turn out bad, innit?

so that was the Van Gogh side

and now I'm doing normal makeup

because the whole concept

is about your face being a blank canvas - as mentioned in the beginning

which you can use to create works of art

or to put normal makeup on

I mean, in a modern style

So I just put on normal makeup

as you can see I've contoured

I've highlighted

I'm putting on normal eyeshadow

I've put on shimmery shadow in the middle of the lid

I'm really defining the crease as well

because you know I like a strong crease

but anyway, if you guys wanna see a slower tutorial

on how I create a smokey eye

then you can watch my other videos

in which I explain much slower

I'm being pretty quick with this, because the most important thing

is the Van Gogh side

which, is also quite easy

but I think I've explained that side well, right?

I think so!

Anyway, here I had a BIG PROBLEM

You can't tell so much, but I smudged some black shadow under my eye

my finger was dirty and I just smudged it all over...

so yeah, big problem, but anyway

I carry on with the finishing touches, such as eyeliner

and mascara on both eyes

I put on lipstick, only on half the mouth

to show that this is the contemporary side

So I hope you guys liked it

I hope you guys understood the concept behind this

about your face being a work of art

hope you try it and I hope you're inspired to try out new things

I shall see you on the next tutorial

Kisses, ciao!

Super Nintendo Entertainment System Features - Pt. 01b: 3D Representation - Duration: 2:01.

This is a short follow up to the video about Super NES graphics.

If you haven't watched that video yet, go do so now--there's a link in the video description.

In that video I tried describing bitplanes by using a 2-dimensional representation of

the graphic in question, and splitting the bits apart in the order they are stored in

memory.

This works, and, at the time, it was all I was comfortable with animating.

But in this video I'm going to try to describe the 2BPP, 4BPP, and 8BPP formats using a 3-dimensional

representation instead.

Besides, even the official Super Nintendo developer's manual used a 3D representation

to describe the format.

So let's give this a shot.

For 2-bits-per-pixel graphics, each pixel has a value 2 bits long.

We can visualize this by making each bit into a cube.

White cubes will represent 1' and black ones will represent 0's.

This results in each pixel being represented by a stack of cubes, where the least significant

bit is on top, and the most significant bit is on the bottom.

Another thing that was mentioned was the term "bitplane".

With this 3D representation, we can easily see where the name came from, as a bitplane

is just a 2-dimesional horizontal slice into this data block.

Then we can easily see the order that the bits are stored by stripping off rows of cubes

from this data block.

For the 4- and 8-bits-per-pixel format, the data block is just 4 and 8 cubes high.

The data is then split into sections that look similar to 2BPP graphics, and each is

stored one after the other.

This means that the bitplanes are processed two at a time.

I hope this helps with visualizing how this data is stored in memory.

Somatic symptom disorder - causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, pathology - Duration: 4:25.

Somatic symptom disorder, which used to be called somatization or somatoform disorder,

involves having physical symptoms that aren't explained by any known physical or mental

disorder - in other words, symptoms that can't be explained.

That said, individuals aren't 'faking' the symptoms, these symptoms are real and

often made worse by the fact that they cannot be scientifically explained.

And this is pretty different from situations where an individual with a factitious disorder

might fake an illness or injury in order to get attention.

The diagnosis requires that individuals experience some set of unexplained physical, or somatic,

symptoms for at least 6 months.

The symptoms experienced by individuals with this disorder, though, can be incredibly varied,

everything from pain to gastrointestinal problems to sexual symptoms.

And although the somatic symptoms are chronic, the exact location, kind, and severity of

the symptoms typically changes over time.

The one symptom that does often persist over time is pain, and because it's persistent

and has no clear underlying cause, it can be particularly hard to treat.

Somatic symptom disorder often causes cognitive symptoms as well, and these include persistent

thoughts and feelings about their symptoms—usually a lot of worry and anxiety, and sometimes

even catastrophic thoughts about death.

More often than not, it is these cognitive symptoms in response to the physical symptoms,

more than the physical symptoms themselves, that become a basis for this diagnosis.

In fact, clinicians rate the severity of somatic symptom disorder based on patient experience

with these cognitive symptoms, not the physical ones.

The condition is considered mild if there's only one cognitive symptom like ruminating

a lot on the symptoms.

It would be considered moderate if there are two or more cognitive symptoms like rumination

as well as anxiety.

And it would be considered severe if there are two or more cognitive symptoms, as well

as multiple physical symptoms or one severe symptom, like severe pain.

These cognitive and physical symptoms often disrupt an individual's daily life as well

as their relationships.

Unfortunately, the diagnosis can be tricky and confusing given that the symptoms shift

over time and that there is no clear underlying scientific explanation.

Historically, it was thought that somatic symptom disorder was the result of a person

having too much psychological stress, and that "excess stress" bubbled over and

led to bodily symptoms.

A current theory is that individuals with this disorder are extremely sensitive to changes

in their bodies and that common experiences like indigestion might be amplified in these

individuals.

One everyday example of this would be how different individuals might perceive the same

amount of spiciness very differently, for some it's tasty and for other people the

exact same amount of spice is perceived as pain.

Now, treatment of somatic symptom disorder is aimed at diminishing the cognitive symptoms,

and this is often done through cognitive-behavioral therapy.

The goal here is to encourage individuals to engage in behaviors that they think are

limited because of their physical symptoms, in order to show them what they are able to

do.

All right, as a quick recap: somatic symptom disorder involves physical symptoms that cannot

be scientifically explained by any known physical or mental disorder, and the most common one

is pain, and these physical symptoms often lead to cognitive symptoms like rumination

and anxiety

I feel, hm, I feel nothing, no I don't have Morales problems.

I feel like I am on the right track.

Okay, I fear.

I fear that I'm not good enough.

I fear that I will die bewildered.

I fear, I fear that I will be left behind and forgotten.

I fear that I'm getting on everybody's nerves all the time and I fear that sometimes I am

on really thin ice.

I fear that I'm giving way too much away right now.

Okay.

I fear that I have to repeat the horrors of my past over and over and over again.

I fear.

My biggest fear, yeah.

I fear that something bad is going to happen to the people that I love.

It doesn't matter if it is friends or family or, if you're in my heart, you know.

I fear that something bad happens to the people that I love.

And if you remember Molly Weasley's boggart.

That.

Whew.

I want.

I want to be acknowledged for the creative pursuits that I'm having.

Meaning, maybe someday I will write a novel that is actually worth publishing.

I want to be more carefree.

I want my kids to grow up to be capable and loving adults.

And when I say capable, I mean able to deal with what life throws at them and if that

involves asking for help a whole lot, then being able to do that too.

I want, I want my friends to be happy in the places they want to be, or at least content

in the places that they are.

I want that a whole lot.

I want...I think I already wanted enough.

Let's move on to I am.

I am, what I am.

Yeah I am not Shirley Bassey.

I am a wife.

I am a mother of two children, one of them with special needs.

I am a writer.

I am a nerdfighter.

I am the sum of my experiences.

I am as curious and as interested in life as I have always been.

I am apparently not acting my age, even though I have no idea what that means.

I am still learning.

I am working on a lot of things right now.

I am working on something that will potentially make my life a lot better.

I am a work in progress, of course.

I am proud to be here.

I am enough.

Yeah, I am enough.

Okay, tagging.

I tag you, Sam.

Just to see what happens.

Because you need to get your videocamera out and do something more.

I tag you, Janet, of onewomanandsomesongs.

And yes I know you are taking a break from youtube, but I'm willing to wait for it.

I tag you, Hussien.

I am kind of very astounded that you haven't been tagged yet, if I have missed it, then

sorry.

And I tag you, Sarah.

What was it?

JdogNAsian I think was your youtube channel.

Because i really want to see what you have to say about that.

Okay now let's get this onto my Mac and see if my Mac can handle it, because it's not

the youngest one anymore.

So, yeah, bye!!

How Your Memory Can Be Tricked - Duration: 4:56.

It's easy to assume that your memory works like a camera.

You know how camera works, so it's like how memories work.

You take snapshots of your life, and sometimes it's hard to find a picture, or you accidentally

delete one.

But the ones you keep are a good record of what actually happened.

But psychologists who study memory actually think it works more like a Wikipedia page.

You can trust it as a general reference, but every time you remember something, you can

make changes to it – and so can other people.

In fact, there are lots of ways your mind can be tricked into thinking things happened

that never actually did.

One way is through suggestion – basically, dropping hints that something happened a certain

way.

A psychology study in the mid-1970s was one of the first to show the power of verbal suggestions.

In one experiment, the researchers played college students videos of a car crash, and

then asked some questions about the crash.

One group was asked how fast they thought the cars were going when they hit each other.

And another was asked how fast the cars were going when they smashed each other.

And that word choice affected their memory!

When the researchers said "smashed" instead of "hit", people's estimates of the speed

increased by about 3 miles per hour.

Then, when the psychologists followed up a week later, they asked if the participants

remembered seeing broken glass in the video – which, for the record, there wasn't.

Of the 50 people who heard the word "smashed," 16 remembered seeing broken glass that wasn't

actually there, as opposed to 7 of the 50 people who heard the word "hit."

Even without the suggestion, a few people were remembering incorrectly – but not as

many.

Now, that wasn't a huge study, but the power of suggestion has been replicated hundreds

of times in different experiments, so it seems like we're pretty prone to getting little

details wrong.

Turns out, we're also bad at remembering where we heard something in the first place,

or whether something actually happened to us instead of, like, dreaming it up.

This is what's known as source misattribution.

In one study, psychologists tested for this effect by inviting some 210 volunteers into

a lab for a couple days and asking them to either do or imagine doing a bunch of different

things.

There were familiar tasks, like smelling a flower, plus some weird ones, like tapping

a flower to their forehead.

Then, two weeks later, they were asked to remember what they did.

It didn't matter if it was something normal like rolling dice, or strange like sitting

on dice– over half the time, participants thought they actually did the things that

they only imagined.

And if they spent more time imagining an action, they were more likely to think they really

did it.

Now, both of these memory flaws have been psychologists sorta messing with people.

But, sometimes, we just unintentionally make stuff up.

These are called spontaneous false memories, this is when all the knowledge and patterns

you have swimming around in your brain can mess up what you remember.

Let me show you.

Try to remember this list of words.

Think you have them all memorized?

Good.

Now, take a look at these words.

How many of them were on that first list?

In case you were wondering – and didn't just write them down – the answer is six.

But, in controlled lab experiments where they do have a little more time to memorize, most

people will falsely remember one word that wasn't on the first list: "window."

That's because the first list was basically a bunch of window-related words , so it's

easy for your mind to make a goof.

This example is called a DRM List, named after the psychologists who wrote and studied it:

Deese, Roediger, and McDermott.

But spontaneous false memories can happen in all kinds of situations.

For instance, one study showed children between 5 and 12 years old different versions of a

video where a teacher read a story to a class, and then got money stolen from her wallet

in a cafeteria.

Then, they had to pick the thief out of a lineup.

In one version of the video, there was a bystander next to the teacher while she was reading

– someone who was about the same age, build, gender, and ethnicity as the thief.

And after watching that version, the 11 to 12 year-olds were more likely to pick the

innocent person out of the lineup than the actual thief.

This is called unconscious transference: when an innocent person gets mis-remembered as

a criminal because of the way your mind categorizes things like how they look.

Psychologists think we make up these patterns as we go through life, most of the time without

thinking about it.

They've also noticed that adults usually show unconscious transference and mix up DRM

lists more than really young children do, because they just have more life experience

and general knowledge.

So… memory is kind of scarily unreliable.

And it's probably worth taking your own memory with a grain of salt.

But now that you know some of the ways it can trick you, maybe you can avoid being /too/

trusting.

Y'know, pics or it didn't happen!

Social Media Marketing: 7 Steps To Increase Your Visibility On Social Media! - Duration: 13:46.

this is Staci Hall from Staci Hall.com. My

mission is to simplify online marketing

and make it fun for entrepreneurs to

increase their confidence, influence and

results. I have a question for you today... How

would it feel if you knew exactly what

to do to increase your visibility on

social media so you can stand out above

the crowd? It's a noisy place out there

isn't it? it's really tough to get

people's attention and if we're trying

to build a business online then

we need people to be paying attention...

Stick around.. today I have for you seven

steps to increasing your visibility on

social media. Here we go.. step number one

post the right stuff at the right time. I

have been talking about this.. I feel like...

sometimes I keep repeating myself but

it's so important and people are still

doing this wrong a lot of the time.

you'll want to make sure that you are

not posting pictures of your products...

you're not posting pictures of your

company name, your company logos or

anything to do with your company

directly. You want to attract people to

you and when you post things that come

across as pitchy or salesy... you're

practicing what my mentor Ray Higdon

refers to as 'Repulsion marketing'. You

don't want to do that! We do not want to

repel people, if we can at all avoid it,

right? The idea behind having a whole... you

know.. infrastructure on social media is

to presumably, attract our tribe to us.

in order to be attractive.. we have to give people what they want... it's not

about us, at the end of the day...

So, what do people want out there on

social media? People out there on the

interwebs...want to be entertained! You

wanna have some fun! They want to be

educated.. they want to prowl around and

spy on what people are doing, right? They

just... they're going there for social

reasons. That's why it's called 'social media'.

..so the stuff you post has to reflect

that and honour the platform... no logos no

links no companies stuff..okay? Post things

that create curiosity... post things that

make people interested in your life and

what you're doing... things about your

lifestyle... if you're going out for lunch

with the girls... you're hanging out at

the beach. If you're doing something fun

with your kid... Post motivational stuff.

Post really good things, you come across

that share really interesting tips about

business or life... things like that. That's

number one because if you post things

with value, automatically people are

going to start engaging with your

content and that means you'll get

your stuff seen in the news feed

more often..more regularly and that's what

we want.

Okay... so quality content. Number

two: Go LIVE! I know a lot of people are

really fearful of doing video, especially

'live' video but Facebook Live...well.. any

live streaming really... but Facebook being

the king of all social media, still reigns

supreme. Facebook lives are where its at.

Facebook basically prefers them.. right..

They honour them more in their algorithms so

if you go live, you have a much better

chance of being seen. It's just the way

the math works out right now... with their

algorithms... also it has tremendous of

reach ,because even if people don't see

while you're on live.. there are a lot of people

that see you on the replay. So it just

spans.. and it gets out there... and also

you can repurpose that content in any

way that you see fit. I mean you can chop

up that video... you can put it in on

other platforms, you can use it in your

blog. It has endless possibilities.. so

number two.. very important...go LIVE. If you

have a fear... you need to find a way to

work through it. Start slow and work your

way up but you need to be doing it.

Number 3: Spread the Joy! What do I

mean by that? 'Do unto others as you would

have done unto yourselves.." guys...you want

to be more visible on social media... you

want people to interact with your

content... you want people to pay attention

to you! The best way to achieve that is

to do THAT.. for other people.

It just works like that. Go find other people's

pages in your niche...'like' some of their

stuff... comment on things that are

interesting... interact with the other people

who are commenting on their stuff. As soon

as you do that, not only do you increase

your profile with those people.. but

you're also increasing your profile with

all of THEIR friends... because now, once

you've commented on that person's post, all

of their friends can see your comments

right... and if you're saying interesting

things, they're going to be curious about

who you are and what you're about. And

they'll start checking out your stuff , right...

So it increases your reach, while at the

same time helping the person that you

are engaging with.... it's good karma!

Also, you can seek out other influencers

in your niche and do the same. Start

following people.. engage with their stuff.

So pay attention... share right? ... engage

engage, engage. And then you will have the

favour returned to you. Also i would say,

please don't have a scarcity mindset

about sharing content around. I know a

lot of people in our niche... in the online

marketing- network marketing-

entrepreneurial niche are sometimes fearful of sharing other

people's content to their people they're people...they're

like..."ah.. man if I share that person's

Facebook live then everyone's going to

fall in love with her and they're all

gonna go over there and nobody's going to

follow me anymore..!" I promise you that's

not gonna happen! I know it's a

legitimate fear for a lot of people but

it is a scarcity mindset and that is a

mindset that's typically prevalent in people

who are newer or haven't done a lot of

personal development... and they don't

understand how it really works. I promise

you, if you share something of your

colleague's work ...all of the people who are interested

in you, are not going to leave you... I

promise! It doesn't work like. If

anything, I find that people actually

admire you and look up to you more.. if

you're sharing things of value with them,

that are going to help them with their

business... right? They're going to see you as

being a person who is connected to

really awesome things... so it only

helps you... or as another of my mentors,

Diane Hochman likes to say... you're kind of

like "Julie the cruise director" on The

Love Boat... if you're old enough to

remember that. You're just pointing

people to really amazing things. You are

not the songwriter of the whole world...

you're the DJ. I can't remember where I

heard that but it's a great analogy...

... You're kind of just respinning

stuff for people and that has tremendous

value...so don't be fearful... share, share

share. Number 4: Give Interviews and

Interview Others. This is a really ninja

trick if somebody is actually reaching

out to you and asking you to be willing

to be interviewed ...don't be afraid of it.

You have a little nuggets that you can

share with people that you don't even

realize. So be willing to do that.

It's great for your own exposure,

obviously but also that person that

interviews you is obviously very likely

to share that interview to their people...

so now you have ... an ability to

reach all of that audience, that you

otherwise would never, probably be able

to reach and that audience, very likely,

may not have ever found you, without the

introduction of that interviewer. So say 'yes'

to those things... those are

opportunities.. right? Step in ...and also

when you have a chance to interview

others do the same... especially if it's an

influencer in your niche. So, if you

go to a lot of company events or

industry events, find the people milling

around ..who are really interesting to you

and ask them if

it's okay to.. just like.. hit them up with

a question or two, on camera so you

can share it with your people. Most of the

time, if they can.. if they have the time

available... they will do it. They're more

than willing... and you might even find

that some of them might share that

content to their people... which would be

amazing right?!!? So interview and be

interviewed. Great ...great strategy... Number 5:

Start Your Own Facebook Group.

Yes, you should have a fan pagge but

I'm not talking about that ...I'm talking

about Facebook groups. A facebook group

is a great, great way to increase your

visibility on social media while also

building an amazing community of followers

and people that you can attract.

.. because you have more control over

the conversation with your group and

there's a lot more engagement going on

within it ...then typically, will happen

on a fan page.. so it has it's different

purpose... and within your Facebook group,

you can have theme days..you can run little

contests... giveaway prizes... really encourage

people to..you know... create a culture

within the group and get engaged. And they

actually can learn an awful lot that will help them with their business in

the process... which just makes them love

you all the more. So, definitely Facebook

Groups. Number 6:

just have to check my notes quickly...

Number 6: Facebook Ads. I know, I know... a

lot of you are probably scared of the

facebook advertising... you may have heard

some horror stories. I promise you, it's not

that scary. What I will say, is it's not

something that you just want to fly by

the seat of your pants with. You do want

to know what you're doing a little bit...

so seek out some information... there's tons

available. There's great courses... there's

also wonderful free information...just at

the Google...right... and on YouTube. Make

sure you read.. you know.. Facebook rules

and regs about advertising...so you don't

get yourself into trouble but if you do

that, it's not actually that hard and right

now...the Facebook story ad is just like

doing gangbusters on Facebook.. so it's

basically just sharing a story in the form

of an ad, so that is something that you

might want to consider it has amazing

reach it allows you to tell a bit of a story

which really draws people in to you and

who you are.. and we'll get you a lot of

targeted, targeted followers who want

what it is that you have to offer.

..brilliant strategy. Number 7!

Numbers 7! Number 7: Be

Entertaining!!!... right?!!? Be entertaining people!!!

people come to social media because they

wanted to entertained.. as we mentioned at

the very beginning of this video. So many

people on their posts are like... okay... not

so much just posts.. but especially on

video and facebook live.. it's like (super boring voice)

'hi.. I want to talk to you today about..." Guys! Loosen up... it's a phone.

It's not going to bite you. Just be yourself.

Be natural...be authentic... share with people.

Don't try and present a perfect exterior.

It's so boring! Nobody wants you to be

perfect. We are all fallible..all of us.. we

all are flawed. So if you just step out

from trying to present yourself as being

perfect, you will actually have better

ability to reach people and actually

have communication and a genuine

connection... which is all people really

want, right? So be okay with just being

yourself. That doesn't mean you have to

come out with your jazz hands.. to be, like..

you know... trying to be funny, if you're

not funny. That's not what I mean. You

know, by all means...don't hide the

elements of yourself that give you a

bit of an edge because THAT is what

people are gonna fall in love with...ok ..so

just entertain people. Don't try and be

business-y and perfect. It's really boring.

Okay, my friend, those are my 7 steps to

significantly increasing your visibility

on social media and will help you to

potentially 10x the size of your tribe,

in short order...if you follow them to 'T'.

Hope that was helpful. I hope you got

value. If you haven't already, my friend,

somewhere around this video I'm going to

include a direct link for you to access

my Facebook Daily Game Plan

Blueprint. It's free of charge, right now.

I've basically charted out for you,

step-by-step, exactly what you can do,

every single day, to generate an

additional 10 + leads for your

business, on Facebook...

without spending a dime on Facebook ads in

case you don't want to do that, just, just

yet. That's available for you. Please, by

all means, download it, enjoy and share

with those you think might benefit. Have

yourselves a fantastic day and I'll see

you guys on the next one. In the meantime,

Go..and Make Your Mark! Love ya! Bye for now...
