If you've been following me for some time...
I'm in Fukuoka for one year
For my studies...
(I explain everything in this video :P)
I travelled in Tokyo 2 weeks
And I wanted to share this experience with you...
Even though this is the fourth or fifth time I have been there...
This time it was a bit special
Because it was for holidays
'Winter Break' as it is called here too
For the end of the year (lots of celebration for French people at this time ><)
For Christmas and New Year...I really wanted to know
to experiment, because it was the first time for me, i wanted to share
I don't really know how their celebrate this in Japan
And we will discover that together, of course !
In the beginning I wanted to make two videos, one for Christmas and one for New Year...
But in the end...I have to much to tell, too many videos on my camera...
As always...I'm sorry !
I don't know yet how many videos there will be...
Maybe 5 or 6 ?
I hope it won't be too boring !
I'm so bad at making "Vlog" as you know...
So I tried to do it differently...

It's a tradition for me, I always begin with the plane
I was really happy to take a local flight
It's the first time in fact,
So, we went to the Narita Airport
Usually, I take flight at Haneda Airport
Because it's really nearer Tokyo
Narita is a bit far away, need 1 hour and a half...
Japanese landscape is really beautiful
That's why I'm so happy to take a local flight
From Fukuoka to Tokyo Narita it's less than two hours
So it's really short, no time to get bored !
Just time to enjoy the view !
As you may know, I really enjoy filming the take-off
And believe me, in these videos, you will see a lot of scenery !
We can see that Japanese landscape is full of mountains...
Japanese people can't extend their cities on the japanese archipelago...there is no room...not lucky
That also explain why they are so piled up on each other
Here there is a big pink cloud-wall,
But don't worry, we are going to plunge into it, to end up just above the sea...
We will soon see Narita and we are going to land...
I thought I will see Tokyo from the sky, I was so impatient...
But I'm completely stupid !!
Narita is one hour and a half away from Tokyo
So no risk to see Mt Fuji or something...!
To do so, I should have landing at Haneda
So please, remember it if you can't choose you flight ! :P
And there we are, we are discovering our flat
It's said that Japanese flat are really really small especially in Tokyo
It's not necessarily true...!
On average, Japanese flat are like those you can find in Paris
It's the same
Furthermore, we had a huge bathroom
With a bathtub, with is crazy in Japan
I don't have a bathtub in France !
It was like a dream... ^^
AND, mostly, we found this flat at 2 min from Ikebukuro
Which is THE place where we wanted to live,
For the pokemon center of course
A geek district, with a lot of things to do
As for Akihabara
It was also decorated, and these decorations will change during the trip
It's really beautiful and nice
We were really close to activities...
We arrived the 23rd of December, which is the Emperor's birthday
...And also my mother's...
On the 24th, we decided to go to Shibuya...why ? Because it's a nice place...
*lol*
We wanted to see people on this special day...and
We knew a restaurant there, in height
perfect to admire the view !
...it's Christmas Eve, for a good athmosphere...We thought it's a good idea
In that restaurant there are several specialities related to the season...
so for lunch...it's FONDUE !
*stupide face* *are you ready for fondue ?*
*first lovu-lovu- fondue !*
*and we are not even in France !*
*That's kind of sad...*
*with a beautiful view...*
*Yep, beautiful shibuya view !*
In that same building
you cannot miss it, it's a 8th floor building ith only restaurant
I've always wanted to taste a restaurant
'Mee's Pancakes'
It's a pancake restaurant as you can see by the name
Fluffy pancake looks so delicious !
(In fact, as I'm French I've never taste pancake 'properly')
It's not here you will find industrial pancakes
It's fireworks for your tong
and there, princesses will drag their princes
And MY prince seems to enjoy chocolate !
If you are wondering what akihabara looks like by night...
I would say that 'Electric Town' bears it's name very well ! In every sense !
That's crazy to see so many people in the streets !
It's Christmas Eve !
Simply because Christmas is not as important for Japanese People as it is for us
It's a Christian celebration...
Even if (In France at least !) nobody thinks about that
It's a commercial celebration
Christmas has no meaning for us !
It's like Haloween
Typically Japanese : they set up christmas decoration
one month before
but the 25th during the night...poof...
There is nothing left, they have removed everything
That is really fast...!
It's just fun for them because it's commercial !
You know how much they like commercal things in Japan
As for me...
Christmas is not religious
MY MISSION : EAT UNTIL I DIE !
This year...mission sucess !
We shouldn't forget that Christmas is also about presents
for those who open their present on the 25th...no problem
so we decided on the 25th to go to Harajuku
One of my favorite place, for very special fashion but that's not all !
You can find Kiddy Land
We've never been there sorry...
It's a shop where you can find every character you like
characters loved by Japanese people
such as Harry Potter, Star Wars
or Rilakkuma and Pokemon...
It's a magic place if...you are a bit of a geek...
or if you like...
falling in love with cuuuute characters
For dinner, we ate at a fast food restaurant chain
Katsudon
(Maybe I'm going to make video about fast food restaurant chain in Japan...)
believe me it's worth it !
(here it's fast food ramen)
We wanted to go to eat at a very famous ramen restaurant
but we forgot the meaning of "famous"...that's mean 3h of queue
we abandoned because of starving !
maybe later...who knows...
WHO KNOWS.
In Akihabara, if you can't find your happiness with technology
with Bic Camera or Yodobashi Camera
Maybe you will find it...with the geek side !!
Even if Akiba changed a lot recently, there are still some remains
there are some places to look at, if you look closely
but...but...
what's that ?
Is it new ?
Oh yeah, that's true
it changes so fast
with the release of Final Fantasy XV
a Square Enix shop emerged from nowhere
What an athmosphere to eat !
or just take a break...!
surrounded by goodies...
SUPER EXPENSIVE !!
Some restaurant have the English menu
'Do you want the English menu ?'
said the waitress
'No thank you' I reply politely
she was so shocked...
she even apologies for asking me haha
YEAYH WHAT DO YOU IMAGINE ? 'A la Française' heh !
Do you think I can talk in English ? NO.
*You are making it move !*

*it looks like a ghost...*
*The worst thing is...when the door is slightly moving*

Yes we had a small earthquake in the night (28th to 29th) !
I don't know why I keep thinking my boyfriend is making me a joke
But when you hear windows moving...you know this is not a joke
I let you here for this first episode !
Don't panic ! There will be plenty of it !
Anyway we stopped on the 28th of December,
and you will see that, on the 29th something will happen in Tokyo !
A special event !
