Sales Features in the May 2017 Release - Duration: 3:08.

This video highlights sales features in

the May 2017 release. SAP Cloud for

Customer, Server-Side Integration for

Gmail lets you use some of the

information from the SAP solution right

from your email inbox. All your SAP

appointments are synchronized with

Google so you never miss a deadline

again. Your contacts and accounts are

also synchronized with Google.

You can give business insights from SAP

Hybris Cloud for Customer right from

your Gmail inbox.

You can create many types of SAP

objects from your inbox too. Since this

person is interested in your green mile

product, create a new opportunity.

Save emails and meetings to any

SAP Cloud for Customer object

without leaving your inbox. As you can

see, the opportunity you created from

Gmail appears in your SAP solution

as well as the email that you added to

it.

Status

indicators for product questions are

very useful when answering product

questions. They also help to

significantly save response times during

survey execution. Open a flexible product

checklist survey in a visit. Notice the

highlighted vertical bars against each

product. By default each product question

has a blue bar that indicates the

product questions are not yet started.

The blue highlighted status indicator

here shows the question is not yet

started.

Notice how the indicator turns green

with stripes when you start working with

the product. If you finish and submit the

survey without completing the mandatory

questions, a warning symbol appears next

to the incomplete product questions. You

cannot submit the survey without

answering the mandatory questions.

Finally, when you complete and finish your

product question, the status indicator

turns dark green. This indicates the

product questions have been answered.

Products added to a survey during

execution yet copied to a next visit for

the same account. Open a product survey

in a visit. In this example, the survey

has two products. Add additional product

to the survey, and notice that a third

product is added to the survey. When you

open another visit for the same account,

and add the same survey from the

previous visit, the survey lists the

third product you added during a

previous visit. This demonstrates that

products added during survey execution

get copied to a next visit.

Video Profile: Dr. LaQuandra Nesbitt, Director, DOH - Duration: 3:11.

I'M ORIGINALLY FROM FLINT, MICHIGAN.

I GREW UP THERE, WAS BORN AND RAISED THERE.

AND I WENT ON TO ATTEND COLLEGE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN

WHERE I STUDIED BIO CHEMISTRY AND ATTENDED MEDICAL SCHOOL AT

WAYNE STATE UNIVERSITY.

WHEN I GRADUATED FROM WAYNE

STATE UNIVERSITY I THEN WENT ON TO START MY RESIDENCY AT CASE

WESTERN IN CLEVELAND, OHIO, AND I FINISHED RESIDENCY AT THE

UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND IN BALTIMORE IN FAMILY MEDICINE

WHICH IS HOW I ENDED UP OUT EAST.

SO MY MEDICAL TRAINING IS IN THE AREA OF FAMILY MEDICINE, AND SO

WE REALLY ARE TRAINED TO THINK ABOUT THE WHOLE PERSON.

WE TALK A LOT ABOUT IT.

IT IS THE BIO PSYCHOSOCIAL

MODEL, AND SO WHILE MOST OF THE CLINICAL TRAINING IS GEARED

TOWARD THE PREVENTION OF DISEASE YOU ALSO GET TRAINED IN HOW TO

TREAT IT. AND THE APPROACH IS ACROSS THE

LIFESPAN SO YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT BABIES AND YOU ARE

THINKING ABOUT TREATING SENIORS OR THE GERIATRIC POPULATION, SO

IT WAS REALLY THE PART OF MEDICINE WHEN I WAS IN MEDICAL

SCHOOL THAT I WAS DRAWN TO THE MOST IN TERMS OF THE DIVERSITY

OF THE PATIENT POPULATION.

MOST RECENTLY, I SERVED AS THE

DIRECTOR OF THE LOUISVILLE METRO DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND

WELLNESS IN LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY.

I HELD THAT ROLE FOR THREE AND A HALF YEARS.

I WAS ABLE TO DO A LOT OF WORK THERE IN THE SPACE OF HEALTH

EQUITY AND HEALTH IN ALL POLICIES THAT I HOPE TO BE ABLE

TO REPLICATE WHAT WORKED WELL THERE HERE IN THE DISTRICT OF

COLUMBIA.

SO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH HAS

A LOT OF RESPONSIBILITY.

ON A DAY-TO-DAY BASIS PEOPLE

LOOK TO US TO BE THE ENTITY RESPONSIBLE FOR PREVENTING

DISEASE, PROMOTING HEALTH AND WELLNESS AND PROTECTING AGAINST

ANY HEALTH THREAT THAT COULD OCCUR FOR THOSE WHO LIVE, LEARN,

WORK AND PLAY HERE IN THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA.

SO I AM A RESIDENT OF NOMA, AND SO I LIKE IT THERE.

WHEN I WAS HERE BEFORE THAT'S WHERE I LIVED AND I WAS VERY

INTERESTED IN RETURNING THERE, AND WHAT I LIKE ABOUT IT IS IT

STILL HAS A LOT OF THE OLD COMPONENTS OF BEFORE IT WAS

CALLED NOMA, AND THEN IT HAS A LOT OF NEW THINGS TO OFFER.

SO I'M ABLE TO EXPLORE ON A -- WHEN I HAVE TIME ON THE WEEKENDS

WHICH I DO MAKE A LOT OF TIME FOR I BELIEVE IN WORK/LIFE

BALANCE AND I ENCOURAGE THE TEAM AT THE DEPARTMENT TO MAKE TIME

FOR WORK/LIFE BALANCE BEING ABLE TO EXPLORE SOME OF THE NEWER

RESTAURANTS, BUT ALSO JUST TAKING TIME TO BE ABLE TO ABSORB

SOME OF THE ART AND CULTURE THAT EXISTS HERE IN DISTRICT.

THE OTHER THING IS BECAUSE I'VE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO LIVE IN A

BUNCH OF DIFFERENT PLACES AROUND THE COUNTRY, AND BE EDUCATED IN

A LOT OF DIFFERENT PLACES AROUND THE COUNTRY I HAVE A LOT OF

FRIENDS WHO ARE INTERESTED IN COMING TO THE DISTRICT, AND SO I

HAVE SEEN SOME OF THE HISTORICAL THINGS MORE THAN ONCE BUT I HAVE

AN APPRECIATION FOR THAT AS WELL.

SO WHEN THEY COME INTO TOWN I AM ABLE TO ENTERTAIN THEM AND SHOW

THEM SOME OF THOSE HISTORICAL LANDMARKS AS WELL.

HOMEMADE COCONUT MILK : FRESH EASY & CHEAP ♡ - Duration: 11:57.

whoa I am back guys! with a new video today !

it's been a while, um I've been on

holidays for a couple days / weeks and

so yeah my family was there so I just

wanted to be more present and also i

finished and published my ebook so i have

more information in the description box,

but, that's why I've been pretty busy and

not being able to do any videos. but

today is a big day because, today my hair

is clean and today I have decreed that

it's going to be summer from now on. it

is so damn cold actually it was really warm

like end of march, beginning of April but now

it is so cold again and this is not okay.

I just want summer to come so I've just

decided from now on it's going to be

summer in my appartment. I'm going to

wear shorts and I'm gonna wear crop tops

and like, just make it happen. wear

sunglasses wear hat, and make it happen

just eat bananas and just have these

summer vibes.. so yeah today I'm going to

show you how I make my own coconut milk.

I don't always do it because I'm usually

like lazy and I go out and buy coconut

milk, but this is just a very easy

actually three easy ways to make your

own coconut milk. it's going to taste

better and it's going to be cheaper and

healthier than most of what you're going

to buy at the supermarket because it is

100% coconut. no preservatives

just purely coconut.

the first way is going to be like the

lazy quickest method. we're going to use

some desiccated coconut. that you can pretty

much buy anywhere I think. This one's

organic but you don't have to.

And then, 2 coconut for the 2 other methods and

I'm just going to end this intro now

because it's going to be too long. so

let's get into the video!

We're going to use three-quarter cups of desiccated

coconut and then you're going to heat up

water. do not make it boil, just like, heat

it up and then cover. I think I added

around a cup and a half to two cups of

water. let it thicken for 10 minutes. put

it in your blender, even if you don't

have a high speed blender, just blend it

for a little bit longer I think I

blended it for three minutes or

something, until it's really milky.

And then in a bowl and a nut milk bag, you

gonna squeeze the water out, like you would

with a regular plant based milk.

And I like to keep the pulp so I can put it in my

oatmeal in the morning or just for

recipes. and so yeah, just pour it in a

glass or an airtight container and

you're done !

Take your coconut. see where are the

three things, you're going to tap here.

If you're having issues, you can just like spoon it

out and it should come.

Or not.

You go at the very edge, and then you lift it.

This is what you're left with. You want to use

this in the blender.

okay i'm going to start to talk

otherwise my video is just going to sound

like an ASMR. so yea, same way,

you just squeeze the liquid out. what you

can do with the pulp is re do the

process all over again. like

add a little bit of water, blend it again

and drain it out again or just use it

for recipes or for your oatmeal or yeah

just whatever you want.

So the last way I

want to show you is the way we do it in

Tahiti and the way they did it before so

they didn't have any high speed blender.

you need a fresh, well this kind

of coconut. then you can use either a nut

milk bag nut milk bag if you have, but, as

it is a traditional way, we usually use

We usually use this thin dish clothe. And

the thinner the better. So yeah, this one is

really not that good, but i'm going to

show you anyway! then you need a, this is

a cheese grater but any type of grater.

and then you need two bowls and you need

something to crack your coconut open. i'm

using the hammer again! so yeah, let's get

started.

It litterally smells like alcohol this one.

watch out cuz this can hurt

really badly. I pinched myself earlier !

This one really is fermented so, I'm going to

discard this and I'll be back.

Now i'm going to grate it with the smallest

one

so basically all I'm doing is I'm taking

bits by bits a little bit of coconut

and I'm squeezing it out. this one was

really like juicy but usually it

doesn't have that much milk. it really

depends on yeah which coconut

you get, what mature stage it is in. and

yeah just squeeze your life out of this !

so this is the thickest and purest

coconut milk out of these 3.

this is the first one with the dessicated coconut. it

is very thin. this is like a low fat

coconut milk that you could buy. the

second one with the coconut that I blended

and that is the third one and I

didn't change the quantities so you can

see. the third one is what you get with

one coconut without adding any water.

so that is it for this video I know I've

already put up the video about how to

make your own almond milk and I said it

was the same thing for other plant-based

milk but I think as you saw coconut milk

is slightly different. but if you want to

do almond milk or just any nut milk,

I'll link the video that I already made like a

while ago, and the quality isn't that

good but anyways i'm going to link it so

you can check it out as well.

i wanted to say the last method

that i showed you, is the way that we do

it in Tahiti. the main dish that we use it

is raw fish and well, for me giving up

this meal when i went vegan was like

really hard because it is something that

I've grown up with and

was honestly one my favorite meal.

I managed to do the vegan version of this

meal and it is in my ebook so I'm just

going to post the picture here as you

can see clearly, it does look like

fish but it's not fish at all. I know

i've posted the picture on Instagram and

people just like, freaked out! and so yeah

the recipe's in my ebook if you want to

check it out I'll link all the details

in the description box below! that is it

that I wanted to say. Of course, as always

always replying to your comments,

and yeah, thank you for watching I hope

you enjoyed this video, if you did don't

forget to give it a thumbs up and I will

see you very soon !

so as a little thank you for supporting

me and following me I want to hold a

giveaway of my new ebooks all the

instructions are here so just pause this

video, and yeah I'm really happy to do

this I had so much fun creating the

e-book and I've had already a lot of

great feedback , so thank you so much for

all of you who already got the e-book

and if you want to know a little bit

more about what's inside and all, I'll

put everything you need to know in the

description box below. so check this out

as well. so i'll see you next time bye

Chapter 5.6 - Stereochemistry - Labeling Stereogenic Centers R or S - Duration: 7:25.

In section 5.6 we'll talk about how we label these configurations now. So we've got different configurations.

I've got two different molecules I can draw, for example, of 2-butane, I keep coming back to these ones over and over.

Now, I need to be able to say

I need to be able to describe which 2-butane I'm talking about.

These two are clearly not the same molecule. They're enantiomers of one another.

So I need to have a way to describe which stereoisomer I'm talking about.

So to do that, I'll start with one of them. I'll start with this one. I'm going to draw in any missing atoms.

So I'm going to draw in the hydrogen there at the stereocenter. So this is my stereocenter.

So the first thing I need to do is assign priorities

to each group around a stereocenter.

And the basic rule for that is that they go by atomic number. So highest atomic number

equals first priority.

Lowest atomic number will equal a fourth priority. Not always, but quite often, so hydrogen is four.

So I look here. I got oxygen, carbon, carbon, hydrogen.

Oxygen would be one, hydrogen would be four.

But now at these two positions I have carbon on both of them.

On this one the next atom out is hydrogen. On this one the next atom out is carbon. So I keep going out to either side until I find a point of difference.

And so since this one has a higher priority at the next position, this side gets a two and this side gets the three.

So those are my priorities. Assigning priorities.

So then once priorities are assigned I need to arrange the molecule

with the four group pointing back into the paper. A dashed wedge going away from you.

Arrange the molecule with the four group back.

And then draw a line

connecting

one to two to three.

So my four group is back. Here's one to two to three. That's my line. If it's clockwise

we call that molecule R which is, stands for rectus. If it's counterclockwise,

the configuration of that molecule is S, for sinister.

So if I look at my example molecule, one to two to three. This, my four group is going back into the board or into the plane of the paper.

One to two to three goes clockwise.

So this, my first molecule is R-2-butanol.

Now, if I look at my other one, there's two ways of doing this, one is to go through and solve it the same way and draw in your hydrogen.

However, once you've solved the first one, if I can look at this one and see, well, this is opposite of the first one, if this one is R-2-butanol, this one must be S-2-butanol.

Now, he's a great use of your ChemDraw for iPad, in ChemDraw for iPad you can draw all the molecules you can want with stereochemical labeling off.

You can try to determine whether that molecule is R or S on your own and then you can turn the labels back on and it will tell you whether it is R or S.

So it's a great way to practice these to use your ChemDraw for iPad to practice on.

Now, one thing that you may have noticed is that the enantiomers have a change in configuration from R to S.

If it changes from R to S, those two are enantiomers.

Well, if you have more than one stereocenter, you can do the same sort of thing.

So with more than one stereocenter, if I start with a molecule that has two stereocenters and they're both R,

the enantiomer has to have both of them opposite, so the enantiomer would have to be SS.

That means that if I have any that only have one changed, RS or SR, those are diastereomers

of the original molecules.

Now, RS to SR. These two would again be enantiomers

because both stereocenters are exactly opposite.

So any time you have more than one stereocenter, all of the stereocenters need to be completely opposite to be the enantiomer of that molecule.

So I'll give you a practice one real quick

without even drawing in the molecule.

If I have a molecule that is RSS stereochemistry, what would the enantiomer be?

Hopefully, you figure out that would be SRR. That would be the enantiomer.

Any other changes RRR, RRS, RSR, any other change except for SRR are all diastereomers.

Now, I hope that you remember that I talked about before that if I have two or more stereocenters, if I have two or more stereocenters my molecule may or may not be chiral.

And the reason it has to do with planes of symmetry. So here's a molecule that has two stereocenters.

If I look at this top one I've got four different groups. I've got a hydrogen going back.

I've got an OH. To this side I have a C with O. To this side I only have a C with another C. So these are different.

And this is a stereocenter, too. So these two are both stereocenters.

However, there's a plane of symmetry right through there, through that molecule.

Everything on the top is an exact reflection of everything on the bottom and so because there's a plane of symmetry, this molecule has to be achiral.

So in section 5.8 it addresses that, and we call these compounds meso compounds.

Compounds that are meso have stereocenters,

but they're achiral due to the plane of symmetry.

Myles Gets K.O.'d - The Next Step: Show the World (Episode 7) - Duration: 6:45.

(♪♪♪)

- Isaac: The only things you need to know about Myles is if he's not dancing he's either

working out or producing music.

- Isaiah: He can sing, he can dance, he can act, he's muscular, um... (laughter)

- Briar: Every day he motivates me to be the best person that I can be.

- Isaac: The prima ballerino himself: Myles Erlick!

(crowd cheers)

(♪♪♪)

- Myles: This tour was a dream turned into reality.

- Myles is extremely talented.

I admire his work ethic.

Even when we're on the road, he knows what he needs to do.

- Victoria: He truly is a triple threat. He can sing, dance, act.

- Jordan: He has great hair. Really great hair.

- Trevor: Myles I would say is like a broccoli...

Because, you know, like, his hair is done at the top but then,

you know, like, it comes down and it's all defined and the bottom; it's kind of buff and stuff.

- Myles: Being backstage, getting ready to go on for that very first number was just like,

something I cannot explain.

The lights would go down for the audience, I would run on and do my first big flip and

the crowd would just go crazy.

That part never, ever got old for me.

I don't think it will ever get old for me.

(♪♪♪)

- I don't know... is Myles into fitness?

- Trevor: Whoa.

What are you doing, bro?

Did you just get here?!

- Yeah, man. - That was like a 14 hour drive, man.

- I sleep run, y'know?

- ... What?

- Anyway, bro, I'll see you inside.

Actually, thanks bro.

- Lamar: Myles is overly into fitness.

He's actually gone above and beyond the bar.

- It's always good to be that dedicated to fitness but... you know, I've said to him before,

there's gotta be... you've gotta have your moments where you just let loose, you know?

Like, have a piece of cake.

- Well, ever since I was a little kid I've always been into sports, you know, fitness

and obviously dancing.

It's a bonus for my training with dance.

I mean, dance is so active and you need to be very healthy and you need to be very physical

and fitness fits in perfectly with that.

(♪♪♪)

- I decided, in Europe...

I needed to take my training to the next level.

(♪ guitar rock ♪)

- Sound Guy: Hey Myles?

We're uh, we're trying to get the stage ready, uh, if you could just leave the stage.

- Myles: Okay! - Sound Guy: Thanks, man.

- Alright! No worries! - Appreciate it, buddy.

- It's go time. Let's do this. (claps)

- Myles: I wanted to be able to train with the pro Italian boxers.

That's hometown for me, I'm half-Italian, so

doing that was something I will never forget.

(♪♪♪)

- Myles: I've actually always loved boxing and kickboxing stuff because that training is so incredibly hard.

I mean, the respect I have for those guys that train in that every day is unbelievable.

In the warm-up, I was already done.

They have to have an extreme amount of cardio to be able to keep going, and that's the same with dancing.

Doing a five minute dance number, you have to be able to keep it up the whole time.

(♪♪♪)

- If this was me, I would be dead on the floor throwing up for sure.

So kudos to all of them for getting through this class. (giggles)

- Myles: I was like twenty minutes in, and um, right then and there I realized how

intense these guys are and how intense this whole lesson was going to be.

- It was so funny. I was laughing so hard. (giggling)

I mean, it's a lot of cardio, so I would be watching and I'd look over and he's like:

(grunting, then giggling) Like, going so hard!

- Myles: I actually got to spar with one of the boxers.

- I'm feeling good.

I'm about to get my...my butt kicked in.

It's all good, though. It's all good.

- I was a little nervous, I mean I had never actually sparred before.

And especially sparring with an Italian champion.

So I was like, "What am I doing? What am I doing right now?

I can't believe I'm even getting into this ring."

(♪♪♪)

- Myles: He definitely, you know, played around with me a little bit.

He was going extremely easy but I was giving my all.

(chuckling:) I couldn't even breathe, I was just trying to keep up.

(♪♪♪)

- Come on!

- Briar (laughing): Once he started actually punching, he got so tired, it was so cute!

He'd be like punching, punching, punching in the face and then he would stop for a second

and then get a punch right back.

- Myles: Something I really took away was how serious and determined their training was to them.

I saw that and I was like, that is so cool, because I feel the same way about my dancing

and my training.

- Guy's in... guy's insane.

He beat me, though. (laughs)

Aww, that was great.

It was a lot of fun.

Italian boxing, woo!

- Being on tour with...with the cast...

was... it was amazing. I mean,

everyone's so cool, and the fans were incredible.

(crowd cheers)

- Myles: I would feel it in my heart every time.

Seeing that with my own eyes was incredible.

And I will never forget that.

(cheers and applause)

- Three! Two!

One, let's go!

Run it! Yeah, baby, run it!

(more screaming)

(♪♪♪)

LA VÉRITÉ SUR SENPAI - COURT METRAGE YANDERE SIMULATOR - Duration: 7:34.

Howdy, I'm Ayano

And this is my highschool

I feel like I've been here for thousands of years

I can't even feel time passing anymore

I really do not wanna go here every morning

I hate classes

I'm always late

I bet you can see exactly what type of person I am

There's only one person

Who gives me enough courage to get up every morning

And this person.. Is my senpai :3

You haven't seen him yet? Wait... I'll show you what he looks like

Here we go! That guy, that's senpai

He's next to that fountain every single day and reads his book

Actually it's... always the same book. I dunno why but it must be pretty interesting

Anyway. Let me say hi to the girls over there

Heyyy girls, how's life today?

Wait you haven't seen him yet?

I haven't but I just ca-not wait!

There's a new boy at school, apparently he looks beau-ti-ful

But he doesn't speak to anyone I'm so sad about that... I hope he'll talk to me at least

Wait.. who are you talking about? A new guy?

But... classes started 4months ago already

Oh wait! I think that's him over there!

Hey! Alright? Can I sit here?

Errr.. yeah why not.

WHAT.

Like... seriously?

This guy hasn't even been here for 24hours, he comes here and talks to MY senpai

AND also SITS next to him?!

What the hell... What the hell!

I need to talk to Oka. She's my only real friend at school

Not like these stupid girls who all want to be with senpai

Im sure she'll know who that guy is

Have you heard about the new guy?

Did you see him? Cause I just saw him and that guy is unbelievable

He just sat next to MY senpai like it was alright. What the ell is wrong with him

Yeah... I see who this is... He's in my class. He's really weird

He doesn't talk to anyone except senpai

Apparently he even asked him to meet him at 12 in the second floor's toilets

WHAT?

In the... toilets? Why there?

No idea. Told you, he's weird

No... it can't be... no.....

I'm sorry I got carried away.. I just really don't know what to do

You know it could be nothing. If you wanna be sure, you should go check it out though

Mmm... yeah you're right

Wait

Be careful. He really seems weird

Listen.. I'm not sure how to say this but I knew you wen't to this school and I had to come here. I had to see you

R...right... Why did you want to see me exactly?

I had to do something

No.. no... It can't be

No... not senpai...I didn't know that... No.. It can't be possible. I have to tell him

I have to tell him I'M the girl he should be with, not this guy

WHAT THE HELL are you doing here?

Oh... I... just... I.... There was a boy with you... The boy with red hair....

The WHAT? What are you talking about? There's no one else here

W...w....what.... .. Oh.. sorry... Sorry I didn't want to disturb you

She really IS acting strange...

What the hell is wrong, what's happening? I have to find Oka again

OKA! Where's the new guy?

The new guy? What are you talking about?

The new guy.. The guy we litteraly just talked about 10minutes ago!

Errrrrr... Ayano. You didn't talk to me about this. You came to tell me something about Kokona

W... what. Wait.. I have to make sure

She's acting strange this morning

Girls! Where's the guy we talked about this morning?

What are you on about? We told you to go away this morning, you thought you could really talk to us?

You went crying to Oka just afterwards you're so pathetic

But..

It can't be right... That can't be right...

Am I going insane? I saw this guy, I swear I saw him, I did

Drawing STRANGE Characters - Paper Folding Art Game! - Duration: 10:28.

- Hi art friends.

- [Adam] Hello art friends.

- We're gonna play a little paper game today.

- [Adam] Yeah.

- But I wanna eat first so if you can

just give me like two seconds.

- [Adam] Have all this yummy food.

- [Steph] I've got a really big chocolate cake here.

- [Adam] I got a croissant.

- [Steph] And I need to put it in my mouth.

- [Adam] What are you doing?

- I've got some printer paper.

- [Adam] We're breaking out the good stuff for this one.

- Oh yeah, I wonder if any of you guys

have ever played this game?

So basically one person like draws the head.

- Okay. - And then you like

fold it over. - Oh yeah.

- [Steph] And the next person draws like view of a torso.

Then like the hips and the top part of the legs.

Then the bottom part, stuff like the shins and the feet.

- [Adam] So you make like a full body.

- Yeah but we don't know what each of us like drawing.

- Oh so it's like a secret. - I'm sure a lot of you guys

have probably played it in primary school or something.

- [Adam] I think I might have played it

in high school. (laughing)

- Yeah. (laughs)

- [Adam] Oh okay, so.

- We should probably both use like the same pen or pencil

to keep the drawing.

- [Adam] Do we have like rules?

Do we have to make like a list?

- I was thinking, just to try and sort of theme

the character a little bit more

we'll take it in turns to pick like concepts

or if we say like fisherman we'll try

and make some conscious effects to try

and make like a fisherman and then, yeah so on.

- The theme can be mole boy.

- [Steph] Okay.

- It's been so long, I haven't seen mole boy in forever.

- [Steph] Okay so do you want me to turn around?

- You can turn around if you want to.

I'm doing this without reference as well guys.

- [Steph] Yeah we don't have any references.

- So if the mole looks a little weird.

(laughing)

Well this is what I'm working with so far.

Do you think he looks kind of mole boyish?

Do moles have ears?

So many questions.

(Steph laughs)

Steph's not looking by the way, she's.

- I'm looking at a toilet which is great.

- [Adam] She's looking at this beautiful Costa,

beautiful Costa lady.

I'm just gonna assume he has ears.

There we go.

Like this.

- [Steph] I'm not gonna show up in my part.

My part's gonna be a surprise. (giggles)

- [Adam] Give him one of those really fancy collar things.

Oh it's so regal my boy.

Don't you look fancy.

There we go, okay.

I think we should hand this over to Steph next.

- [Steph] Don't forget to do two little lines

so I know where to continue off from.

- [Adam] Oh okay.

Two lines huh?

- [Steph] Otherwise I won't be able to match it up.

- [Adam] I'll do it really sort of feintly

just so you know where it'll be.

Okay, I'm gonna fold it over now so no peaking.

- Okay.

- [Adam] Okay guys, Steph's having a go.

I've built this really cute wall.

I wanna, I'm so used to, we film on doodle dates,

that I just wanna peek over.

- No you're not allowed.

- [Adam] I'm so used to just looking over me

like what are you doing?

I really wanna see how mole boy looks.

This is gonna be our new artsee.

Whatever he looks like,

this is his finalised design. (laughs)

- What like his human form?

- [Adam] Yeah.

Oh you're done?

- [Steph] You have to do his lower half,

but leave the feet, I have to do the feet.

- [Adam] So I'm only doing like legs.

- My part was so lame. (laughing)

I'm gonna have some of this chocolate cake.

- [Adam] Oh yeah.

You gonna save some for me?

- No, this is mine.

He's already had a dessert don't let him fool you.

- [Adam] There's no desserts guys.

Drop me a comment if you want me to eat some cake.

- It'll be gone. - Although when we blow this

the cake will already gone.

I don't want to eat what the cake turns into.

We're working with this here.

Oh yeah here it is.

Okay, this will also really confuse Steph if we do this.

This is like the best distraction for you

in a challenge like this, just to eat cake.

- Not like I'm just staring at

a toilet eating cake. - I love eating cake

while looking at a beautiful woman.

- You can see the woman, I'm looking at the toilet. (laughs)

- [Adam] People are gonna,

we're gonna get kicked out in a minute.

It's like there's some weird woman eating cake

looking at the toilet.

(Steph giggling)

I think this could really confuse Steph

in a good kind of way, so.

- [Steph] I'm always confused. (giggles)

- [Adam] She says it as she stares at the wall eating cake.

I'm always confused. (laughs)

Okay hon, so I'm gonna pass this over to you.

- [Steph] Alright.

- [Adam] What do you, do you think you can work with that?

- Okay, why is the line so uneven?

- [Adam] Because I wanted to test your creativity.

- I'm trying to think what mole feet would look like.

Okay, I've done my part, are you ready to see the?

- [Adam] We can reveal it now.

Okay so this is the back.

(Steph giggling)

Oh my word.

- [Steph] His legs are so confusing.

(laughing)

- [Adam] Be sure to send in your fan art guys. (laughs)

This is mole boy.

- Okay, I want to do one this time,

and it's themed around a humanoid fish.

- [Adam] A human fish?

- Humanoid.

- [Adam] Humanoid, and you're starting with the head.

- Mm hmm, so no looking.

- [Adam] I want some of this cake.

- [Steph] Hey! (giggling)

- [Adam] You're drawing so I'm allowed to eat cake.

Mm.

- [Steph] Hey, you're taking all the good bit. (giggling)

- [Adam] Mm, such good cake.

What's that?

You want me to eat more of you?

Okay.

It's okay, I'll take you to a better place.

- [Steph] Okay, I'm ready to fold my half.

- [Adam] Oh, is I my turn?

I totally wasn't eating your cake or anything.

- Yes you were.

- [Adam] It was so good.

Okay guys, this is the neck and the torso okay.

So, I'm think, um yeah here we go.

Oh, ho ho ho.

Yeah this looks, this looks good.

Krill

4

Dayz.

I'm giving him some like, some chains and stuff maybe?

- I'm getting a lot of description. (giggles)

It's got chains apparently.

- [Adam] Oh no.

Okay, I really confused her guys, don't worry.

Whoa ho ho ho.

Oh beautiful.

There we go, so I went with something pretty dainty.

- Dainty? - Yeah I think this is gonna

be probably dainty little guys, so.

Ooh.

- [Steph] That must be such a tiny waist.

- [Adam] Yeah I'm going for like cutesy little thing.

You want me to eat you some more?

Well okay, if that's what you would like.

- [Steph] Stop eating my cake. (giggling)

- Well now you're busy.

Cake for me.

Is this just his feet?

- Yeah. - Just his feet right?

You see how it's like sticking with the a

slim theme too.

- [Steph] Well I just have to follow on

from what you've been doing.

- Oh yeah.

But it's marine themed alright?

- [Steph] Well there was gonna be a human fish.

- Uh oh.

(laughing)

I'm glad you did the head. (laughing)

Hmm.

- [Steph] I like how you just completely

forgotten the theme.

- I was just mesmerised by cake,

'cause a ooh.

- [Steph] Speaking of which, I'm just gonna

pull my cake closer over here.

He's made this little wall so I can't see over.

- [Adam] Yeah see? It's safe.

- [Steph] Okay, is it time to reveal?

- Okay, do they have a name?

They need a name.

- [Steph] Yeah, it has a name.

- It has a name?

- Yeah. - Okay.

Are you ready?

- [Steph] (giggling) Okay.

- Okay. - Okay everybody.

- [Adam] It kinda looks like another fish

is like eating him.

(Steph giggling)

He seems to take being eaten alive very well.

- [Steph] (laughing) Yeah it literally looks like

this fish is eating this fish.

Should we do one more, like mystery character

where there's no theme.

- Oh okay, yeah so it can be anything?

- Yeah. - Yeah definitely

we're gonna do one more.

- [Steph] Okay.

- Okay Julian, you come hang out with mole boy.

I'm so excited for the out and reveal

at the end of this video.

- [Steph] Yeah, let me know if you want stickers

with these guys. (laughing)

- Oh my God.

To keep it fair, we could like flip a coin or something.

- [Steph] Oh okay.

I want tails.

- You want tails?

No you're gonna have to do rock, paper, scissors

to decide first.

- Nah. - Yeah.

- Really? - You want the tails, yeah.

On three.

- One, two, three. - Three, two, one.

- [Adam] Okay I win.

- [Steph] No.

- I'll go with tails.

Ha ha.

You ready? - Okay.

What is it?

- [Adam] It's heads.

- [Steph] I win!

- [Adam] You bumped up with Steph?

- [Steph] So does that mean I get to draw the head?

- Yeah, that means you get to go first.

- [Steph] Okay.

- [Adam] Oh, it's my love.

It's cake!

Oh.

- [Steph] Hey! (giggles)

- [Adam] Well if you insist, I will gladly have some of you.

Mm.

- [Steph] How much of my cake have you eaten?

- [Adam] I don't care, mm.

- [Steph] If you want to know what it's like going

on a date with Adam, this is what it's like.

- [Adam] I get personal, I get used to the food of many, mm.

No.

- [Steph] No. (giggling)

- [Adam] Distance from that stuff, true love.

Look at that guys.

Look what Steph's given us to work with.

Look how big that is.

- [Steph] Not much. (laughs)

- [Adam] What is this, is it like a plant?

- It's a surprise. (laughs)

- [Adam] Okay.

You want to make sure you're looked away,

I'm about to perform some magic.

- [Steph] I will shuffle. (giggles)

(Adam humming)

- [Adam] I'm thinking that the best to be giving you

something smaller than the neck.

(Steph laughing)

- [Steph] Yeah but it's tiny.

- [Adam] Can you work with it?

- Yeah.

- [Adam] Does this character have a name, or should we

give him a name when we actually see all of him?

- Yeah, we'll name it when it's all completely finished.

- [Adam] I'm excited to see our creation.

- [Steph] Okay, this is the last stretch.

- This is just the, I always check, this is just the feet?

- Yeah just the feet. - Just, it's just the feet.

- [Steph] Uh huh.

- It's just the feet? - Yeah just the feet.

(Steph giggling)

- I think I may have messed up my previous step.

This might look really weird.

- [Steph] That's okay. (laughing)

- You ready to flip it over?

- [Steph] Okay.

- [Adam] I'll flip it over so you guys can see first.

- [Steph] Okay.

(Steph laughing)

Yeah, I give him like a sword peg leg,

which then goes into his groyne,

which goes into more legs and then the peg leg. (laughs)

Is that me?

- [Steph] It's like there's a random sword

and just that. (laughing)

- [Adam] Is that meant to be me?

(Steph laughing)

- [Steph] I have subconsciously, I might have drawn you.

- Actually it makes this guy more beautiful.

HOMEMADE COCONUT MILK : FRESH EASY & CHEAP ♡ - Duration: 11:57.

whoa I am back guys! with a new video today !

it's been a while, um I've been on

holidays for a couple days / weeks and

so yeah my family was there so I just

wanted to be more present and also i

finished and published my ebook so i have

more information in the description box,

but, that's why I've been pretty busy and

not being able to do any videos. but

today is a big day because, today my hair

is clean and today I have decreed that

it's going to be summer from now on. it

is so damn cold actually it was really warm

like end of march, beginning of April but now

it is so cold again and this is not okay.

I just want summer to come so I've just

decided from now on it's going to be

summer in my appartment. I'm going to

wear shorts and I'm gonna wear crop tops

and like, just make it happen. wear

sunglasses wear hat, and make it happen

just eat bananas and just have these

summer vibes.. so yeah today I'm going to

show you how I make my own coconut milk.

I don't always do it because I'm usually

like lazy and I go out and buy coconut

milk, but this is just a very easy

actually three easy ways to make your

own coconut milk. it's going to taste

better and it's going to be cheaper and

healthier than most of what you're going

to buy at the supermarket because it is

100% coconut. no preservatives

just purely coconut.

the first way is going to be like the

lazy quickest method. we're going to use

some desiccated coconut. that you can pretty

much buy anywhere I think. This one's

organic but you don't have to.

And then, 2 coconut for the 2 other methods and

I'm just going to end this intro now

because it's going to be too long. so

let's get into the video!

We're going to use three-quarter cups of desiccated

coconut and then you're going to heat up

water. do not make it boil, just like, heat

it up and then cover. I think I added

around a cup and a half to two cups of

water. let it thicken for 10 minutes. put

it in your blender, even if you don't

have a high speed blender, just blend it

for a little bit longer I think I

blended it for three minutes or

something, until it's really milky.

And then in a bowl and a nut milk bag, you

gonna squeeze the water out, like you would

with a regular plant based milk.

And I like to keep the pulp so I can put it in my

oatmeal in the morning or just for

recipes. and so yeah, just pour it in a

glass or an airtight container and

you're done !

Take your coconut. see where are the

three things, you're going to tap here.

If you're having issues, you can just like spoon it

out and it should come.

Or not.

You go at the very edge, and then you lift it.

This is what you're left with. You want to use

this in the blender.

okay i'm going to start to talk

otherwise my video is just going to sound

like an ASMR. so yea, same way,

you just squeeze the liquid out. what you

can do with the pulp is re do the

process all over again. like

add a little bit of water, blend it again

and drain it out again or just use it

for recipes or for your oatmeal or yeah

just whatever you want.

So the last way I

want to show you is the way we do it in

Tahiti and the way they did it before so

they didn't have any high speed blender.

you need a fresh, well this kind

of coconut. then you can use either a nut

milk bag nut milk bag if you have, but, as

it is a traditional way, we usually use

We usually use this thin dish clothe. And

the thinner the better. So yeah, this one is

really not that good, but i'm going to

show you anyway! then you need a, this is

a cheese grater but any type of grater.

and then you need two bowls and you need

something to crack your coconut open. i'm

using the hammer again! so yeah, let's get

started.

It litterally smells like alcohol this one.

watch out cuz this can hurt

really badly. I pinched myself earlier !

This one really is fermented so, I'm going to

discard this and I'll be back.

Now i'm going to grate it with the smallest

one

so basically all I'm doing is I'm taking

bits by bits a little bit of coconut

and I'm squeezing it out. this one was

really like juicy but usually it

doesn't have that much milk. it really

depends on yeah which coconut

you get, what mature stage it is in. and

yeah just squeeze your life out of this !

so this is the thickest and purest

coconut milk out of these 3.

this is the first one with the dessicated coconut. it

is very thin. this is like a low fat

coconut milk that you could buy. the

second one with the coconut that I blended

and that is the third one and I

didn't change the quantities so you can

see. the third one is what you get with

one coconut without adding any water.

so that is it for this video I know I've

already put up the video about how to

make your own almond milk and I said it

was the same thing for other plant-based

milk but I think as you saw coconut milk

is slightly different. but if you want to

do almond milk or just any nut milk,

I'll link the video that I already made like a

while ago, and the quality isn't that

good but anyways i'm going to link it so

you can check it out as well.

i wanted to say the last method

that i showed you, is the way that we do

it in Tahiti. the main dish that we use it

is raw fish and well, for me giving up

this meal when i went vegan was like

really hard because it is something that

I've grown up with and

was honestly one my favorite meal.

I managed to do the vegan version of this

meal and it is in my ebook so I'm just

going to post the picture here as you

can see clearly, it does look like

fish but it's not fish at all. I know

i've posted the picture on Instagram and

people just like, freaked out! and so yeah

the recipe's in my ebook if you want to

check it out I'll link all the details

in the description box below! that is it

that I wanted to say. Of course, as always

always replying to your comments,

and yeah, thank you for watching I hope

you enjoyed this video, if you did don't

forget to give it a thumbs up and I will

see you very soon !

so as a little thank you for supporting

me and following me I want to hold a

giveaway of my new ebooks all the

instructions are here so just pause this

video, and yeah I'm really happy to do

this I had so much fun creating the

e-book and I've had already a lot of

great feedback , so thank you so much for

all of you who already got the e-book

and if you want to know a little bit

more about what's inside and all, I'll

put everything you need to know in the

description box below. so check this out

as well. so i'll see you next time bye

OKYL - Tutoriel : Comment bien positionner son OKYL sur la tête - Duration: 1:56.

Hi everybody !

Thanks to the episode 1, you know how to put the accessory on the headband

So today, we'll lean how to position it on your head.

You can see the forehead isn't protected by the headband

In case of a fall, the headband isn't useful

Temples aren't protected whereas there are the more sensitive part of your head

A shot on your temples and you get knocked

But the occipital protuberance is protected

This headband position isn't effective in case of a fall

Now, the forehead is protected

To get a general picture, you get put a finger between the headband and your eyebrow

But the headband isn't slopping so it's not protecting the temples and the occipital

So is not a good position

On the third position

The headband is on the forehead and you can put a finger between the headband and your eyebrow

Temples are protected

And the occipital is covered by the headband

The headband is effective in case of a fall

To summarize this :

The headband need to be on your forehead (you can put a finger between your headband and your eyebrow)

Temples and occipital need to be covered

Now, you know how to position your headband on your head

We hope this video is useful and see you on next episode !!

And don't forget,

Bring OKYL with you !!!

What Normal Food Can I Eat When Cycling? | Ask GCN Anything Cycling - Duration: 12:05.

- We're back for another Ask GCN Anything,

where you can get to ask us your cycling related questions.

Don't forget, if you've got any questions

that you would like to ask us ready for next week's show,

leave it them in the comment section just down below

or use the hashtag #TorqueBack on Twitter.

Or you could even send us a direct message on Facebook

if you so wish as well.

This week's first question comes in from Giorgio Sterlini,

energy gels and bars are quite expensive

if for just fun spins if you're on a student budget,

what normal foods are good for fueling on the bike?

Alright, that's a very good question.

The idea behind energy gels and bars is

that they give you very quickly absorbable carbohydrates

to help replenish or top up the glycogen stores

that you'll be getting through when you're out exercising.

So in terms of normal food, you want to find something

that is pretty good at doing that same job.

Bananas as a good example, as is dried fruit,

although that is a bit awkward sometimes to store

in your pocket.

But the great thing is that it's actually reasonably cheap

to make your own homemade energy bars if you so wish.

So you want to have ingredients

which are quickly absorbable,

cook them before hand, store them, which you can do

for quite some time,

cut them into nice small segments

and then you can wrap them up and take them out

on your ride, put them in your pockets,

and eat them when you wish.

Now Simon Richardson a few years ago

gave his very own recipe for his über energy bars

which he was very proud of at the time

and still is to this day.

And if you want step by step instructions and a recipe

on exactly what you need to do,

you can watch this next video.

(upbeat music)

- Ready made energy bars are fantastic fuel for cycling

but if you want to make your own however,

you could try this secret GCN recipe.

Now it's based around oats, which are fantastic fuel

for cycling and that's why everyone seemingly uses them

in their energy bars.

Now, there are reasons for that.

Partly because they're a great source of slow release

carbohydrate.

They've also got quite a high proportion of protein in there

and fat as well

so it's a really good all-round source.

- Right, next up is this question of Arjen Kingma,

quick question from the Netherlands.

I'm thinking of going to the Alps this summer

to cycle some cols.

Hence, I would like to do some training for that.

However, as I'm living in the flattest country,

training up hill cycling isn't really an easy option.

Instead, we do have a lot of dykes and a lot of headwind.

And I was wondering is cycling into the winds

for long distances a good replacement for hill training?

Well yes, it very much can be if you've got a long enough

stretch of road with a big headwind,

but there are a few other options as well.

Handily, very recently, we did a video

on this exact subject.

And one of the things that we briefly mentioned in the video

is something called an air hub.

Now I was listening to a podcast recently

with two pro riders from Orica-Scott,

Mitch Docker and Luke Durbridge.

And Durbridge has been using an air hub in training

for the last couple of years, with great effect.

He's been coming on leaps and bounds in some

of the biggest races in the world.

Now I've also seen Michał Kwiatkowski use on in the past

and Andre Greipel already this year.

And what an air hub does is allows you

to get extra resistance at the front wheel

so you can be putting up more power for the same speed.

Now most of us don't need any help whatsoever

in going slower but if you're really serious

about training for climbs on a flat road,

this could definitely be a consideration

because it allows you to put out a lot of power

while keeping the speed low so it'll be nice and safe.

However, there are a number of other things you can do

to train for climbs when you've only got flat road,

so if you want some suggestions,

check out this next video.

(dramatic music)

- One thing, I wish I'd done though

is better utilise some of the terrain

next to my house because local to me

there is an abundance of fire roads and gravel roads

like this one, which all link up

and that's perfect because there's no junctions

and of course there's no traffic as well.

Plus, you've got the extra resistance off-road

which perfectly mimics the kind of resistance and power

that you're going to have to push out

when you're on a longer climb.

So it's easy to do 30 minute intervals

or even longer than that.

- Rapid fire round now and we'll start off with this one

from Yee Dinosaur, is there a weight difference

if you attach equipments on the bike

rather than carrying it yourself?

For example, lights, tools, et cetera.

Well no, there's no difference as far as I personally know.

The only time when an equivalent weight

can make a difference is if it becomes rotational weight,

i.e. it's around the rim,

and of course you won't be putting tools or lights there.

So to me, it makes no difference at all.

I do tend to prefer a saddle bag,

even though it contravenes certain rules

that you can find out there on the internet.

I think it does a great job of keeping your inner tubes

and your tyre levers and sometimes your multitool

in a nice neat package.

I don't like have it all on my back pocket.

And next up, from Daniel v D on Twitter,

why do people find they have a higher FTP on the open road

as opposed to the indoor trainer, and can you mitigate this?

That's a very interesting question.

My understanding is that a lot of the losses

that you experience on an indoor trainer

versus the open road are down to heat build-up.

So of course, when you're out on the open road,

you've got lots of wind blowing in your face,

and also from the fact that you're going through the air

at a certain speed, you'll have some cooling properties

from the air as well.

And on the indoor trainer, even with a fan in your face,

it's quite hard to replicate this

so you're body quickly starts to overheat

and you then don't have the capabilities

of putting out exactly the same power.

There's also a difference in the inertia of many trainers.

So the power stroke is ever so slightly different.

Sometimes a bit like the difference between riding

on a flat road versus riding on a climb,

lots of people find it easier to put power on the climbs

than on the flat road and it's a similar case really

with a trainer so you can mitigate it

by trying to keep yourself as cool as possible,

having multiple fans

and also making sure you're hydrated

and also choosing your indoor trainer carefully,

one that allows you to have a nice power delivery

throughout the pedal stroke should help you

to get as close as possible to your FTP

and your power out on the open road.

Alex Tigton, here is a quick one I've been musing over

since I started cycling.

What is the true purpose of a cycling cap?

Well I'm not entirely sure to the answer of this question.

I'm sure there's some historians out there

that will tell you the true history of the cycling cap.

I would imagine though that in its origins,

it was there to try and keep some of the elements

out of your eyes because riders didn't use helmets

or indeed shades in those early times of cycling.

So we keep the rain out, possibly mud coming up

from the rear and in front of you

and also some of the sun as well.

And it tends to be now when it's raining,

that the pro-riders still use them underneath their helmets

because they do do an incredibly good job

of keeping that rain and spray off your eyes.

Lewis writes, do pro cyclists get back problems

when they are older due to riding so low and aero

all the time?

Well Louis, I wouldn't personally know just yet, obviously.

I'll ask Matt later on today.

In all seriousness though, I haven't heard of anyone

having any major back problems post cycling

but you only have to look at cyclists off the bike

and the way they sit to see

that they do have postural problems

and I am certainly one of those.

So if you are dedicated enough,

I urge you to do some core exercises

to try and kind of straighten yourself up

because you are hunched over for multiple hours per day

as a pro-cyclist and it can reek havoc on your back

so hopefully I will find the time to do that myself

later on in life.

Next up, and finally for the rapid fire round,

from Tims on Twitter,

would you rather ride under the best weather conditions

in the worst traffic or under the worst weather conditions

but no traffic, #torqueback.

Wow, what a question.

I think I'm going to say the worst weather conditions

with no traffic because although that's not much fun,

I would say it's even less fun to be riding

amongst loads and loads of cars and motor vehicles.

So yeah, so that's what I'm going to go with.

Actually, I'd be interested to know

what everyone else's thoughts are on that question.

Let us know your comments down below.

Our penultimate question comes in from Sam Hellebrekers,

if I only have budget for one bike, what type should I get?

Aero, lightweight, or endurance?

Well I would imagine there are a lot of people out there

pondering this exact same question at the moment

as they're about to purchase a new bike.

So the first thing you want to do is analyse the terrain

in which you're going to ride.

Is it mainly flat where you are?

Or is it mainly mountainous?

If it's the former, an aero bike is probably the way to go.

If it's the latter, a lightweight bike

might be more suitable to you.

Although you can get lightweight aero bikes these days.

Also analyse the type of riding that you want to do.

Do you want to go out and actually pin a number on your back

and race?

Or just go really fast on local group rides?

If that's the case, you want to go for an aero bike,

if you just want to enjoy long jaunts

out into the country side and be as comfortable as possible,

then you might well want to get an endurance type bike.

Having these written down, will allow you to make

that kind of decision but you should also look

at your own personal flexibility because aero bikes

do tend to be quite low at the front end

and have quite aggressive geometry.

Now Simon went into quite some detail a year or so ago

about the differences between an aero bike

and endurance bike and lightweight bike

and you can find that video right behind me now.

(upbeat music)

- Firstly what are the differences between them then?

Well let's start with an aero bike.

Now, as well as designed to be aerodynamic

there are other things that set this apart

from our benchmark lightweight bike.

So for example, to help make you more aerodynamic

as well as the actual bike itself, these tend to have

the lowest front ends out there.

Meaning that if you've got the flexibility

in your hamstrings, in your glutes,

then you'll be able to adopt a super aerodynamic position.

- Our last question this week comes in on Twitter

from Matt Doke,

he's training for his first century ride and wants to know

if he should take any days off before the event.

I would say never be afraid of having a day completely off

the bike.

It is very easy to become extremely concentrated,

almost be afraid of not touching the bike

for an entire day.

But even the pros do that.

And especially that is apt one week before the event

because by that point, you should have done

all of the hard work and it's about tapering

and freshening up before the day itself

so to give you a personal example,

if I was doing a big one day race

that I really wanted to go well at,

I would tend to take the Friday off

if it was an event on the Sunday.

And on the Saturday, I would go out for a nice steady ride

with a couple of efforts to open my legs up.

So I didn't feel blocked on the day.

So if you're century ride is on the Sunday,

don't be afraid of having the Friday off.

Maybe even the Monday previous off as well.

And do some nice steadier rides in-between.

And an opening up ride the day before the event.

Recently, Matt and I talked through a preparation plan

for the Maratona Dles Dolomites

which we are both doing later on this year

so that includes the schedule for training

in the months leading up to it

and also what you should be doing

the week leading up to the event itself.

And you can find that right here.

(upbeat music)

It is vitally important that you allow yourself

enough rest in order for your body

to make the necessary physiological adaptations.

Because essentially when you're out training,

you're breaking your muscles down and it is during rest

that your body repairs those muscles

which will hopefully make you fitter and faster.

Don't get enough rest, and what you risk if over-training

or even worse, getting ill.

- Now if at any point during your training period,

you feel overly fatigued and your motivation is at a low ebb

like Dan's clearly is today, it's important

that you take a day off.

Listen to your body and that's especially important

if you're training around a full time job, study,

and a family.

- Well that's it for another week here on Ask GCN Anything.

Don't forget to leave your questions down below

or to put them onto social media.

If you haven't subscribed to the channel,

it is free to do so,

you've just got to click on the globe

which you should be able to find on the screen

somewhere right now.

Okay, two videos which might be relevant

to some of the questions that we've had already,

first up in that corner down there,

is a video we did at the very start of GCN with Matt Raven,

a chiropractor to the Cannondale Drapac squad,

or Garmin-Sharp as it was at the time.

That is how to improve your lower back stability

with a certain Dan Martin.

Meanwhile down here, we did an ask the pros.

How much do they do on their rest days

during the big three week grand tours.

Audirvana version+ version 3 now has MQA - Duration: 7:51.

Audirvana Plus, version 3 has been further improved according to Audirvana. It already supported Qobus for a long time and

does now also do Tidal and supports the Highresaudio Virtual Vault Account.

But most noticeable is ability to decode MQA.

Audirvana+ still is my favourite music player for Apple OS, safe Roon.

At one eight of the price it is a very good choice for those that don't like the steep Roon price.

Roon does not yet decode MQA

but it does support networked audio adapters, something Audirvana + is not yet supporting.

Please do note the 'yet's' for Audirvana + will support networked audio adaptors in the near future.

The rumour is it will be in version 3.1 and rumour has it Roon will support MQA decoding soon.

Let me make clear that playing MQA files to an MQA

enabled renderer like the Bluesound Node 2 or any MQA enabled DAC

can be done with any bit perfect player as long as you keep the volume setting on the player at 100% and

switch off all DSP functions like upsampling and filtering.

But the number of MQA enabled DAC's and renderers is still limited and you might not immediately

want to invest in a new DAC or renderer again.

Then core decoding of MQA, although not equal to full decoding - might be a good in between.

For those that don't know Audirvana, it started out as a bit perfect player for the Mac

that used iTunes for library functions.

It also enabled automatic sample rate switching. Normally computers convert all audio

to one output sampling rate, regardless of the source.

Bit perfect players like Audirvana are able to send unaltered music data to an external d/a-converter.

Version 2 brought a stand-alone mode that later could be controlled by an iOS app.

It can be set to more or less take over the Mac, temporarily halting any processes running,

that might influence the sound quality.

If you like, it can also perform sample rate conversion using the Isotope 64-bit sample rate converter.

This is especially handy if your d/a-converter has mediocre or worse upsampling.

When the number crunching power of a computer is better than that of the DAC

- which it normally will - it might give better time resolution during upsampling.

And using a DAC at higher sampling rates might also make it easier for a DAC to sound good

since a milder reconstruction filter can be used.

A quality setting can be adjusted to prevent CPU overload.

Especially when converting from DSD to PCM or vice versa,

the workload can become rather high so check the Activity Monitor to see the work load.

This is the part where I describe how a device under test sounds.

But provided that Audirvana+ is able to send the bits

unharmed to the output of the computer, what can go wrong?

Well, quite a lot, but the question is, can that be blamed on Audirvana?

A year ago I reviewed version 2+ and compared it with JRiver Media Center.

I also did comparisons earlier with Channel D PureMusic and Sonic Studio Amarra.

All using the the same hardware, of course.

They all sounded identical with the exception of Amarra

that sounded more rounded as if there was some loss on the high end.

Let me give you some clues about things that might cause sound differences

that are not caused by the player software:

first, a Mac Mini is the best choice and the MacBooks are the least.

They are not bad, but a Mac Mini sounds cleaner.

I am told that this is due to the noisy circuit that drive the video display.

I have no experience replacing the switching mode power supply in the Mac Mini for an external linear type,

but that seems to improve matters too.

The solution I now use is to keep all computer equipment away from my stereo's

and use networked audio adaptors.

In my € 1000 set 3 I use a Raspberry Pi 3B with a HiFiBerry Digi+ Pro board to provide SPDIF.

I would advise the Audiophonic linear power supply or the

equally good iFi iPower switching mode power supply I reviewed earlier.

The sBooster or UltraCaps power supplies I recently reviewed are great too but in that set

I would spend the extra money on other matters.

In my other two sets - see the About menu on theHBproject.com for details,

I use either the Sonore microRendu or the SOtM sMS-200 networked audio adaptors

and here I do use the sBooster or UltraCaps power supplies.

This way you ban out all negative influences of the computer and use dedicated hardware to output

a USB signal elsewhere in the network.

This is part of the Roon setup. Audirvana does not support networked audio adaptors yet

but on their forum it was mentioned it might be implemented in version 3.1.

And that would be great news.

Just use the computer that already is in the house for storage and music server functionality

and an NAA - a networked audio adaptor - in the living.

In practice Audirvana hasn't changed that much with the exception of MQA core decoding.

As said it is MQA core decoding, meaning that a 192 kHz file will be played at 96 kHz.

By the way, not all MQA files contain 192 kHz or higher material,

there also is 44.1 and 48 kHz material which by the way is good practice.

If the master is 44.1 there is no point upsampling it to 176.4.

That would give the impression it is a high res file, which it isn't.

Anyway, Audirvana is up to date again and I can't wait for 3.1. As soon as that is out, I'll be back with a video.
