Haveli Hotel Room Tour in Jodhpur, India - Duration: 7:43.

Alright guys, hello from Jodhpur (जोधपुर).

It is time for another hotel tour.

We have been staying in a haveli (हवेली) in Jodhpur (जोधपुर) for the last

3 nights.

And it is a pretty cool place.

Like we mentioned in one of our earlier videos a haveli (حویلی) is kind of like an old

style home or an old style mansion that has been turned into a hotel.

So the architecture is very typical and the place itself is kind of like a maze.

It is really quirky.

It is not your typical hotel.

So we're going to show you how you get in.

Then we're going to give you a room tour.

And afterwards we're going to show you the rooftop because you get some amazing views

of the whole city.

So let's go find Sam and let's get started.

Alright, so we have found Sammy boy.

So the thing I find really interesting is that we have to go past people's homes.

Time for thoughts from a fancy chair.

Yeah, so final thoughts about staying in a haveli (حویلی) here in Jodhpur (जोधपुर).

So yeah, highly recommend it.

It is one of those unique kind of accommodations that you can only find in very specific locations.

Whenever you have a chance to stay in a place with this much character I absolutely recommend

it.

Um, in terms of the place that we're staying in itself the stay was okay.

Yeah, not amazing.

There was some just basic things that weren't really met.

Like we kept having to ask for toilet paper, for towels, for soap.

For bedsheets and things like that.

Yeah.

They kind of just didn't really prepare the room perfectly.

I would agree.

There are a lot of recipes for preparing this cake, it is prepared both on gelatin and on agar-agar.

For a cake diameter of 26 cm, we need:

For the cake: • 3 eggs • 4 yolks

• 1/2 tbsp. Sugar (100 gr.) • 100 gr. Flour • vanillin

For a souffle: • 4 protein • 300 gr. Sahara

• 200 ml. Water (100ml. + 100ml.) • 150 gr. Butter • 90 gr. Condensed milk

• 25 gr. Gelatin • 1/2 tsp. Citric acid • vanillin

For glaze: • 1/2 tbsp. Sugar (100 gr.)

• 3 tablespoons cocoa • 4 tablespoons Milk • 50 gr. Butter

First we will prepare the base of the cake - biscuit cake.

In a bowl for a biscuit dough, we separate the proteins from 3 eggs, yolks while laying aside.

We beat the proteins into a strong foam, starting at low speed.

As soon as the squirrels get well, without stopping to beat, add sugar in several steps

And pour out vanillin.

Whisk the proteins until firm dense peaks are formed.

Now in 2-3 doses we add egg yolks.

In advance, I divided 4 more eggs into squirrels and yolks, from the proteins we cook soufflé, and we use yolks for biscuit.

In total, for biscuit goes 7 yolks.

In the beaten egg mass, add the sifted flour in advance and gently stir it with a spatula to the condition of a homogeneous dough.

Our biscuit dough is ready.

For the preparation of the crust, I use a split shape with a diameter of 26 cm, the bottom of which is covered with parchment paper, and the sides are lubricated with soft butter.

Pour the dough into a mold, level it and several times tap the form on the table.

This is done to ensure that the biscuit when baking turned out to be more even.

We set the mold in a preheated oven to 200 ° C.

The cake is thin, it is prepared very quickly, the main thing is not to dry it.

The baking of my biscuit took only 15 minutes.

Readiness should be checked with a toothpick, it must come out dry, and without any leftover dough.

The cake is ready, we take it.

We establish the form on the lattice, we again check,

Pass the knife along the edge of the mold, remove the ring and let the cake cool completely.

But while the sponge cake is cooling down, let's prepare a souffle.

200 ml. Cold boiled water divided equally into 2 cups.

In the first glass we pour gelatin, mix well and set aside for further swelling.

Separately, we pour out the sugar into the ladle, pour out the second glass of water and go to the stove to make the syrup.

We install the ladle on medium fire, lightly mix sugar with water, you need to bring the syrup to a boil.

And while the syrup boils, we will prepare an oil cream.

To do this, put a soft butter in a separate bowl and beat it to a light airy state,

Then add the condensed milk and a little more whisk to the state of the cream.

In the refrigerator it is not cleaned, so that there is no temperature difference.

Meanwhile, the syrup boils, reduce the heat to a minimum and boil it to a temperature of 110 ° C.

In the meantime, the syrup picks up the right temperature, we'll take up the proteins for the souffle.

To do this, pour 4 squirrels into a bowl of the mixer and whisk at high speed until a strong firm foam.

Then add the citric acid, vanillin and continue to whisk.

Our syrup is ready, it reached a temperature of 110 ° C, if you do not have a kitchen thermometer, follow the trickle.

It should flow down from the blade with an even continuous thread.

Do not stop whipping, pour the hot syrup in a thin trickle into the mixer bowl, try to pour out so that the syrup does not fall on the whisk.

The mass should be beaten long, until it practically does not cool down,

While in the meantime lightly heat the swollen gelatin in a microwave or on a plate to melt.

Boil it in any case impossible.

We pour the dissolved gelatin into the protein mass and continue to whisk.

After adding gelatin, the mass will become a bit thin, this is normal, as it cools down it will thicken again.

The mass is ready, it holds the mold very well.

In a well-beaten protein mass, spread the cream

And very carefully, so as not to precipitate the whipped proteins, interfere with the cream until a uniform souffle is formed.

Let's start assembling the cake.

On any flat surface we install a ring from a detachable form or a culinary ring, on which we expose a diameter of 26 cm.

Lining the walls of the mold with an acetate film, as a film, dense polyethylene or a file can be used.

We remove the parchment paper from the cooled cake and lay it on the bottom of the ring.

On top of the cake pour the whipped protein mass, level it and remove the cake in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours.

As soon as the souffle is cold, cover the cake with icing.

For its preparation we install a ladle on a plate, pour out sugar into it, pour out milk and add cocoa powder.

All thoroughly mix until smooth.

We bring the mass to a boil and boil for 2-3 minutes, until it thickens.

Turn off the heat and add butter.

Mix well glaze and let it cool slightly.

We put it on the cake, evenly spreading over the surface.

If desired, decorate the cake with fruits, nuts or patterns from the cream.

We remove the cake in the refrigerator until it is completely cooled for several hours, preferably at night.

Once the cake has completely solidified, remove the culinary ring, remove the acetate film and transfer the cake to the dish.
