This is the man I am giving you.

This is the child I am giving you.

This is a friend I am entrusting to you.

How different our relationships would look like

if we heard such words from God everyday.

And that is exactly what He is saying to us.

He allows us to see these closest ties in such light,

relationships which were given to us from Him.

'Here is your mother.'

'Here is your son'

says Jesus on the Cross.

It is He Who is giving Himself to us and allows us to accept these relationships

as very important, and coming from God

to which we are bestowed.

Mary J Blige - Strength of a Woman | Album Review - Duration: 8:36.

Topaz Yates back with another album review.

This time to Mary J Blige Strength of a Woman.

I am giving this one the high end yellow light because it is solid.

This is Mary J going back to her strength of Hip Hop/R&B heartbreak music which she

is one of the best at.

Historically it is when she goes away from this is when her music suffers.

When she speaks about being happy in relationships, which is what I am sad to say, is when her

music suffers.

When she goes away from this genre but there is an exception to that on this album which

we will talk about later.

So lets break this project down starting with my favorite songs.

Starting with Love yourself, the best thing she did here is having Kanye on it because

if anyone loves themself its Kanye.

He made songs about kanye loving kanye.

On top of excellent production an overall quality song even as conceptually it is a

cliche.

People have been saying, you have to love yourself before you love anyone else for a

very long time.

Yet that doesn't mean it is untrue by a long shot.

This is something I see with women all the time.

You can walk up to them and tell them how beautiful they are but they will look at you

crazy because of the insecurities they have about themselves.

So yes you need to love yourself before you can let anyone in to

see

you

for who you are.
