Good evening!
I am at the BMW Motorrad days 2017 meeting, in Germany.
One of the biggest motorcycle meeting that takes place in Europe and in the world!
Tomorrow are going to be about 20.000 bikes around this area!
So I thought I should bring a motorcycle that has really travelled to show these guys how it is!
I can already see a lot of bikes from all around the world over here!
Switzerland, Denmark, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Poland.... What else....France, UK...
it's considered to be the biggest meeting that is being organised by BMW in the whole world!
I can't wait to see whats going to happen in the town tomorrow after 20000 bikes will arrive here.
Good morning!
...Bavaria.... At Chiemsee lake today...
and the plans says that I am going to spent around 4-5 days in Bavaria region.
The mad king Ludwig build a place and a monastery on this lake..
The palace is one of the few buildings he started that actually came close to finish it.
This guy was building monasteries, castles and Palaces all around Bavaria but he would never finish them.
He destroyed the economy of Bavaria just to fullfill his sickness of building huge palaces.
But at the end the people of Bavaria was able to move on since he got drowned...
...and I think it was in this lake that he got drowned.
Good morning, good morning!
I am in Munchen, Germany!
Right behind me is the town hall!
A good mayor of Munchen is required to to ONLY ONE thing right and this is the opening of Octoberfest!
Seriously nobody gives a $h!t if he doesn't do anything else. Ocotoberfest is the most important thing.
Octoberfest is taking place every year at September.... ...because the weather is better.
I just visited the first church that was build in the city.
inside the church there are a lot of ossuaries full with bones....
but there is one which is very big and made with glass that has the full skeleton of a saint....
who was decorated from top to bottom with expensive stones and jewellery...
even in the eyeholes they fitted some jewels....
And this particular saint is the protector of all women that didn't got married....
.. that "stayed on the shelf"
So believers go and pray in front of a pile of decorated bones.....
So in other words, when died alone and then they put her in the church as a Saint.....
I am at Dahau concentration camp just a few kilometres Northeast of Munchen.
During the WW2, there where more than 200.000 prisoners in this camp, of which 43.000 died tragically.
Either they were executed, or died due to starvation sicknesses, or exhaustion.
You can visit the place for free of course. There is a guide if you prefer that costs only €3, but it's
twice per day and i didn't catch him..
(ALL memorials of WW2 are free to visit because they are not touristic attractions)
The most common torture by the SS was to leave the prisoners in the "Attention" position for long hours...
During the last years of the camp that was the first thing to do to all the new arrivals...
This way they, who ever was weak, and exhausted was falling down, and off course nobody was allowed to help
since it was forbidden from the SS. And many people were just left to die on the ground.
The old crematorium was build on 1940 and during its first year it was working non stop...
...so it was decided to build more of them.
Only at the old crematorium burned around 11.000 dead bodies
I am 30km away from Munchen, next to a small town called Glonn, in a small village called Haslach
Sebastian and Barbara invited me here, which I met while I was travelling in the Black forest.
Sebastian made a very nice and beautiful farm here. He is a farmer...
I am staying in this small wagon, I also have some goats here, that are afraid of me...
This small wagon is amazingly cozy and handy!
I have water here and I even have electricity...
Thanks a lot Barbara and Sebastian for the hospitality!
I really had a great time with you.
Tomorrow I am going to leave Bavaria, to Bonn, Cologne, Dusseldorf.
