DIGI International's Digi XBee® Cellular 3G embedded modem lets designers easily add
3G connectivity with a 2G fallback for global deployments.
The modem is AT&T certified, eliminating the complexity, cost, and risk of certification,
and has an on-board nano SIM slot.
Certain uses can also eliminate the need for an external MCU, as the modems can run MicroPython
applications.
Digi XBee 3G modems support the XBee API and AT command set and can serve as a drop-in
replacement to XBee designs as a simple upgrade path to 3G.
DIGI XBee Cellular 3G modems have a u.FL antenna connector and support bands from 800 MHz to
2100 MHz, and the available dev kit comes with 6 months of service.
