Bring the cat here! Those zoophylic keep trolling us for not having the cat. Well, maybe can get a dog today.
Damn, no dog, either! What the -- Oh, no. There it is!
Yep. We got the dog. Let's do the Skoda now.
Hi, everyone! Loud Sound atelier here. Today we're reviewing one Skoda Octavia.
It's been a while since we last had a Skoda. I think the ast one was a blue RS, right? None after that, right? Plese, check out that review.
Well, this is no RS but just a 1.4 L turbo. It's been chipped, right?
It came down from Vladimir oblast for a 3-way front installed, and - spoiler alert - doubled 10" Ural subs.
The install is noteworthy for the fact the car's interior has hardly been altered, 'cept for door cards.
Tweeters were placed in stock spots, the HU is stock, and signal is dstributed thru a processor to 3 amps
a 4-channel, a 2-channel, and a monoblock. This is pretty much the arrangement in the sys.
Now let's take a good look at the work, I'll spare details and tell you 'bout the settings. And we'll try and record it on mic.
Sure, you won't get the full picture of what the sys plays like but you shoud get the general idea.
The concept here is loud quality. We didn't target some crazy high volume.
The volume is rather moderate but the quality is fintuned to its max. But we still recommend the stock HU be replaced with a custom one.
Let's take a closer look now, shall we? Where do we begin? Under the hood?
[T]: Yes, we start under the hood, as usual.
[T]: Here we have a 200 A fuse by Kicx, and also our favourite 50 sq power cable ПВ-3 (PV-3). And we replaced the connector.
Show the turbine.
[T]: The turbine is there.
And the intercooler.
[T]: The intercooler is there.
Here's what's under the hood.
The doors now house a 3-way front.
From here, it looks like a single piece.
[T]: Over here, it's stuck close to the upper part. Overall, the door panel consists of three parts.
And here, it goes on and turns into the stock panel.
That is why the podium fit so well in the doors. And it doesn't hinder while sitting. Does the glovebox open?
[T]: Sure thing. Everything opens, everything's functional.
The tweeters found their place in stock spots. Those are P.Audio 407N with a neodimium magnets.
The same make are the mids, SN series. Like those in my BMW but 6" ones.
And some ferrite Kingz Audio TSR series
And that is pretty much all about the covers. This is how it looks overall.
And if we move inside the car, we'll see that there are no additional head units.
Everything is controlled by the original HU. And if we sit here, we can see that podiums are no disturbance at all.
So the cover depth remained just the same, right?
[T]: The stock door card was like this. The podium sticks out for barely 5 mm.
In the rear, it's all neat and clean.. The subs are placed in a box on a raised floor, sort of. You can call it a podium.
And underneath it all, the system itself is hidden.
Under the podium, we have Audison Bit Ten processor which receives all the signal and passes it on to amps.
The mids and the mid-bass speakers are wired to thi 4-channel MOMO amp.
Its power capacity is just enough to amp up the signal but not too much. We didn't need it crazy up anyway.
A 2-channel Cadence Zenith series. An oldie with a great reputation.
And an MFC-900.1 monoblock by Alphard feeds the two 10" Ural subwoofers.
The 50 sq ПВ-3 cable lead in from under the hood goes into a distributor with fuses, and 25 sq power cables lead on to the amps.
I suggest we move inside so I can show you to the settings. I'm gonna show you the Bit ten's settings.
The HU was left the stock one. With it we can control basic sound options. Low, mid and high frequencies, balance, fader,
and sound volume. For instance, you can set mid or high for aux. If the system's bolume is not enough,
you can kick it up here, but note you'll have more interference on aux.
In general, there are none n higher volume. Anyways, yu have some extra volume capacity.
There' nothing more in the HU. We can turn on the radio, or we can switch to aux, USB etc.
You can turn on the rear speakers for rear passengers or if the driver likes when it play there, too. At the moment, those are off.
The signal from the front channels is lead to the Audison Bit ten. Now let's check out general settings
Tweeter is clipped at 7.5 KHz with max order (24 dB/octave).
Well, it's the 4th order. Some processors have higher orders. Here, it's the top one. So we use it.
The volume with the tweeters is not equal. The left one is turned down a tad. I had to do it 'cuz otherwise, I couldn't get the stage set.
I got better sound on the tweeter side by lowering the volume on the left tweeter.
The right tweeter has a 2.5 ms delay.
As for the mid-bass, the equalizer gives not very even sound and I'd recomment the HU be replaced. But for a stock, I like the way it sounds.
And here, the right side has a 2.4 ms delay, as well.
The sub set is cipped at 60 Hz, 4th order.
The sub level is -7.5, right here. And you can control it with a remote controller from inside the car.
Now let me show you the mids and the mid-bass clipping. This channel is mids and mid-bass.
So it has 100 Hz on the bottom which means the mid-bass speakers play no lower than 100 Hz,
and it's 7 KHz on the top, meaning the mids play up to 7,000 Hz. It's all clipped with the processor.
On the bottom - from what I can hear - the mids are clipped somewhere here. It's about 300-400 Hz. Not sure.
I clipped 'em by ear. Well, in this system we didn't need max volume so I clipped 'em lower to get 'em a wider frequency band.
So here is the overall band for both mids and mid-basses. The latter are clipped on the bottom with the processor while the former - with the amp.
On the top, the mid-bass speakers are clipped with LPF filter on the amps.
That was it. When setting bit Ten, don't forget to press this button. It says 'Finalize'.
And you can save settings as a separate file. Press 'Save setup', pick a name and there you go.
Saved. So here we have a complete set for this sys. Many people are afraid of this processor,
but once you really get to the botom of it, you'll see there's nothing difficult about it.
And a huge part is what you hear. A lot of setting is done by ear. So it's important to listen carefully,
and if you hate something, you should understand what needs to be adjusted on the processor to eliminate whatever you dislike
Hey! Screw you and your job! Let's listen to some music, Tigran!
[T]: 5 sec.
I don't need you. Just don't make noise. Okay, what do I play? It's a quality sys, then Coca-Cola it is.
I'm playing Coca-Cola. Oh, gotta start the car first, huh?
[T]: No, don't.
Yeah, I will. I will. Or the battery will die.
Did you hear that? Urals can kick ass, huh?
What are you doing? Does the music bother you?
[T]: Not at all.
Is it loud?
[T]: Yeah. Awesome.
Nice.
Id this a power lead thru the inside?
[T]: Yeah, like this.
So it plays okay, right?
Gotta kick up the mic's sensitivity. Say something.
[T]: One, two, three. I'm gonna stay in my slippers, okay?
Those slippers? Tigran is all dressed up today.
[T]: It's just really hot in here.
In January. And he's wearing shorts. Shall we start under the hood?
These are are new covers. This is Tigran's new style called... called fcking sht.
And here's the Lada '14 which blew up vk.com. Oh, wait. Oh, it's blown up just the Instagram for now.
Have you posted it already? I will, then.
You put in a power cell - and here you have it low. And to think, people fck around with those pneumatics!
Two D3100 power cells - and there you go!
Here are more covers, These are for the '14. Did you do these? Nice!
Great job, Tigran! You finally learned how to craft decent covers.
I don't give a fck, I'll tel everyone you did it.
These covers are okay! What's wrong with'em? Look, they're painted Raptor.
Okay, the '14 teaser is ready. Now, this Lada Niva. What is this? An Urban?
[T]: Yes. Two power cells are coming here, three amps.
So once again, used to be an off-road, and now it's gonna be a music box.
[T]: Pretty much, yes.
Do you like Lada Niva as a car?
[T]: Are you done with the teaser?
I can't work like these! Armenians all around me! Oh, you are Russian, aren't you?
Finally, Tigran hired someone Russian to work with him! People even started accusing of -- sht! He's not Russian. No, he's not.
[T]: Top to bottom. Go top to bottom.
You were being accused of inducing national conflicts.Sre you fcking sure he's no Russian?
I'm not filming, I'm just calibrating
And now I'm filming. Make cute napes.
Whoa! Are these amps in the back like this? Wow, Tigran, I've never seen 'em arranged like this.
Subscribe and follow the project. Check out this badass '14 with these gangsta covers.
