Alice in wonderland
It was a sunny spring day in the park.
A girl named Alice sat in a tree.
Alice's sister read a book.
Alice made a flower necklace.
Alice was bored.
She wished to visit a world of her own.
"My world would be a wonderland," said Alice.
Just then, Alice saw a rabbit.
He was different from other rabbits.
This rabbit wore a jacket and pants!
He looked at his large watch.
"I'm late! I'm late for a very important date!" said the rabbit.
Alice wondered how a rabbit could be late.
Alice followed the rabbit into a hole in the ground.
She slipped and fell.
She fell for a very long time.
She was scared, but safe.
Her dress slowed her fall.
Finally, she got to the bottom.
She followed the rabbit into a tiny door.
The door was too small for Alice
She started to cry.
The helpful door told Alice to drink from a magic bottle.
The drink made Alice become very small.
Then she was able to go through the door!
It was strange on the other side of the door.
Alice met Tweedledee and Tweedledum.
They were brothers who liked to sing.
They wanted to sing and tell silly stories all night long.
But Alice wanted to find the rabbit instead.
She walked into the forest by herself.
Alice found a tree with many signs on it.
None of the signs told her how to find the rabbit.
The Cheshire Cat appeared.
He had a big smile and he laughed a lot.
He knew Alice wanted to find the rabbit.
"I'd ask the Mad Hatter," said the Cheshire Cat.
The Mad Hatter was having tea with the March Hare.
They were singing.
Their bowls, cups, and teapots were singing with them.
They were very loud.
Alice heard them and followed the sound.
She sat next to them at the table.
Then Alice heard the voice of the rabbit.
"Hello! Goodbye! I'm late! I'm late!" said the rabbit.
The rabbit ran by the Mad Hatter's tea party.
Alice was surprised to see him.
The Mad Hatter took the rabbit's watch.
He put food in the rabbit's watch.
How silly! A watch isn't a plate!
The rabbit ran away.
Alice chased him again.
Alice wanted to go home.
She got lost in the forest.
She was tired and scared so she sat under a tree.
The Cheshire Cat appeared.
Alice said, "I'm trying to find my way home."
He said Alice must first find the Queen.
Then she could get home.
He opened a secret door.
Alice could see a castle through the door.
Alice got to the castle and saw the rabbit there!
He walked in front of the King and Queen
He played his trumpet.
"Her Royal Majesty, the Queen of Hearts!" said the rabbit.
The Queen was very scary.
She liked to yell.
But she was nice when she saw Alice
The Queen asked Alice if she liked to play games.
"Yes, Your Majesty," said Alice
"Then let the game begin!" yelled the Queen.
Alice was behind the Queen when she took her turn.
The Cheshire Cat appeared once more.
He played a trick on the Queen!
He made her fall over.
Alice tried to stop him, but she was too slow.
The Queen was mad.
She didn't see the Cheshire Cat.
She thought that Alice had played the trick on her!
Alice tried to explain, but the Queen did not listen.
The Queen yelled at Alice.
She threatened her.
The Queen and her guards chased Alice
They ran next to a big lake.
Alice was scared.
She wanted to find her way home.
This was the worst thing to happen to Alice yet!
While she ran, the whole world turned to smoke.
Alice could see the door in front of her.
"I simply must get out!" Alice said.
"But you are outside," said the door.
Alice looked through the keyhole.
She could see herself in the park sleeping.
Alice shouted to herself through the keyhole.
"Alice, please wake up!"
Finally, she woke up.
It had all been a scary and exciting dream!
Having her own world wasn't as fun as she had thought!
She was happy to be home.
