hello everybody this is Bhushan Talekar, a member of the training placement
Association from Maharashtra today I am going to take you through the National
apprenticeship training scheme which comes under the Ministry of Human
Resource Development, Government of India. For better understanding of the entire
scheme I have broken down the video into three parts: part 1 covering the
introduction ,part 2 explaining the student enrollment process and part 3
explaining the Institute enrollment process the National apprenticeship training
scheme is aimed at enhancing the employability of students by equipping
technically qualified youth with practical knowledge and skills required
in the respective fields of work. As part of this program organizations and
training managers provide year-long relevant training to apprentices using
well-developed training modules. The establishments (companies) can pay stipend amount
greater than or equal to the minimum stipend amount fixed by the Government
of India to their apprentices. The apprentices are trained at Central, State
and Private organizations. At the end of the training program the apprentices are
issued a certificate of proficiency by the Government of India. This certificate
can be registered at any employment exchanges across India as valid
employment experience. Currently there are five lakh eight
thousand two hundred and twenty two students, twelve thousand three hundred
and thirty-seven industries and two thousand seven hundred and sixty-seven
institutions under the scheme. Now let's take a quick look at the
student eligibility for the scheme. As we can see this scheme is open only for
pass-outs of degree in engineering/ technology, diploma in engineering/
technology or 10+2 vocational. Let me quickly take you through the
benefits..... benefits to the student .....it fulfills or matches any gap in so far
practical hands-on experience your chances of getting selected in job
interview increases many fold enhances technical skills for making suitability
in job absorption smoother transition from the world of education to the work
in actual work environment direct exposure to technology concepts values
and an environment trainees learn by doing tasks themselves coaching and
instruction is done by supervisors knowledge and skills imparted and
trainees are equipped with critically important core skills in problem-solving
teamwork and communication this training makes the apprentices not only fit for
employment but also encourages them for becoming young entrepreneur of the
nation training improves overall personality and confidence level of the
trainees one year period of training is considered as a work experience training
offers opportunity of learning by doing and earning while earning certificate of
proficiency is awarded along with the skill assessment sheet after successful
completion of training leading establishment also selects students for
employment based on skill assessment sheet and efficiency certificate benefit
to the institution's bridging gap between classroom learning and real
world loading feedback on competency requirement of industries enhancing
skill capacity of institutions to match industry requirements interventional
support in order to match demand and supply the students having lower
percentage in their courses will also get facility for skill development and
will get better employment opportunity improved brand image due to the better
