Hey everyone! Just Mandy here! you might be wondering why I'm in this getup.
and that's because, for the last day of 2017, i'm going ziplining, guys!
Now you'll be seeing this once 2018 starts, so HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!!
alright, i think we're ready to go! i don't want to hold up-- *dude* Happy new year!
Happy New Year! *to dude* What's your name again? *dude* Dominic.
Dominic! he's my friend, he's gonna be going!
my daughter Lori's gonna be going so you guys probably see her a little bit on
the-- on the ziplines, and let's go have some fun all right! here we go!
Alright guys, so just a little bit more info for you: I have actually done this before! this is
where I used to work, back before I came-- became a stay-at-home mom! I was actually
a zipline guide, and I did this every day! I loved it! so sorry from a little out of
breath, we just walked up that hill, WHOO! and that's just the start
of the hiking we're gonna do to get-- today guys! Oh lots of hiking!
EXERCISE! good way to start out the New Year!
now, this is how the little-little ones ride.
they ride on this strap. you'll see how the adults ride in the minute, when you
guys see me ride. but...
father-daughter moment! awwww!
*Adam speaking to Lori* so just have fun! leave this alone, okay? you ready? SMILE!
WHOO! just like-dat!
*Adam* It's Mommy's turn. Tam-Tam, wait. *Mandy* Hey bud! Tam! You've gotta stay here!
you don't get to go, 'cause you're too small this time, okay? you can go next time! Thank you buddy! good job!
*incoherent discussion*
*Adam* you guys were "THAT" group! That LATE group!
*Mandy* THAT group, i'm SORRY!
*Adam* that late group!
*Mandy* I'm SORRY we were the late group!
*Adam* everybody has to wait around...
Well, you know... the... *stammers, proper words escaping* oh, whatever!
*Laughs*
*Adam* keep that hand back, keep those feet pointed. if you do turn, give it a push. you want to keep the hand back and open when steering.
after the cone, both hands come up and drag. once you stop, hands down, okay? *Mandy* umm-hmm.
*Adam* you ready? *Mandy* umm-hmm! *Adam* are you sure?
*Mandy, sarcastically* NO! *Adam *ARE YOU SUPER SURE?? *Mandy* NO! *Adam* Have fun!
*off-screen, Tam* Now Tam have a turn? *off-screen, Adam* You really want to go? *off-screen, Tam* yeah.
*Other Guide, Eli* eh, it's like you've done this before! *Mandy* well, nah!
Here I am with my daughter, Lori! are you excited to go ziplining? *Lori* yeah
yeah? it's gonna be so much fun! it's gonna be awesome, huh? *Lori* yeah! it's gonna be SUPER fast! i LIKE fast!
NICE! just like Rainbow Dash, your favorite My Little Pony character, huh? *Lori* YEAH! nice! we're gonna have fun and here we go!
*Eli, shouting to the other end of the cable* Adam, are you ready for a tether? *Adam in the distance* Eli, i'm ready for a tether!
*Eli, shouting* Tether flying!
WAHOO!

*Eli* here we go! *Mandy* here we go guys! *Eli, shouting* FLYING!
whooo-ho-hoooo!

and a nice relaxing roll backwards!
alright guys that was my first cable! it was a lot of fun! don't know how much
recording I'm going to get done on the later ones, because that was just
practice and later one's take more concentration! and here we go guys, I'll
see you in a bit! and now we get to do some hiking, YAY!!
when I worked here this was one of my favorite positions to work! this is one of my favorite cables on
the ziplines! this is called the Round Robin!
*Eli, shouting* --tether? *Adam in the even-further distance* Eli, i'm ready for a tether!
*Eli* here we go. *Eli shouting* TETHER, FLYING!
*Dominic* There she goes!

I'm having a lot of fun with my family and friends out here on New Year's Eve!
whoo! just got done with some more hiking guys! we are up here in the woods!
that's the field, if you look through the trees down there. that's the field that
we started at. we just hiked up that trail right there! whew! good exercise to start the New Year!
*Lori* i'll try to not be nervous. *Mandy* hehehe, you're gonna have a blast, Sweetheart!
*Eli* this time, if you want to make sure you make it, do that
cannonball this time instead of putting your feet out, okay? you'll make-- you'll go
further that way. alright... *Adam in the distance* CLEAR! *Eli* alright, here we go! wheee!

okay, hang on tight. here we go! *Eli shouting* Adam, ready for a tether? *Adam in the distance* Ready for a tether!
*Eli* here you go! *Eli shouting* TETHER FLYING!
*Lori squeals*

all right guys we are way up in a tree! I
actually don't want to unhook my camera from my belt, so I'm kind of doing an odd
angle for this video... but I did want to show you guys the view from up here, so
check this out! WHOA!!! we are WAY up here!
this is the last one we're gonna do! that's actually one of the cables we just did a
little bit ago, that I said was my favorite; the Round-Robin.
and... this is where we are, guys! look at our view!
*Kids chattering* *Mandy* Look at that view out there! isn't it beautiful? what a view!
*Eli* grab right below my hand. right there. have a seat. i've gotcha. there you go. good job. alright, ready? have fun!

so I just want to show you a small peek of the wonderful treehouse hotel
where these zip lines are being hosted at. this is Out'N'About Treehouse Treesort
in Cave Junction, Oregon! check it out guys! here's one of the tree houses right
here-- not that! that! up there at the very top,
is one of the tree houses! that is the "Majestree." there's a couple of ways you get
to it: either by a series of staircases, or by a swinging, hanging bridge, that
also leads to another treehouse right over there! there's tree houses
everywhere here! there's some way over there! there's even some way over there,
beyond those trees! this is an absolutely
wonderful place! I absolutely love Out'N'About! I worked here for three years,
before giving birth to my children and needing to quit to be a stay-at-home mom.
so, it's a really fun place to come check out. they've got horseback rides, zip
lines and a bunch of other fun "activiTREES" for you to check out! so
please, check the video description down below for links to their website! and
come check this place out for yourself! it is really magical! it's really, really awesome!
just another view. this is the main lodge, where people come in to check
in at Out'N'About. there's tree houses all over the place here, guys! you just look
around, and you look up, and you can see tree houses you can see people having
fun in them, it's amazing! and there's a giant purple chair! this chair is my
throne now! this chair-- I want this chair! it's a giant purple throne!
there's tree houses all over this place! they have a central fire pit where the
guests are welcome to hang out in the evenings and talk. but it's just kind of
really cool out here guys! you come out and there-- it's just-- there's tree houses
EVERYWHERE! you look up, and there's tree houses above you. there's a little
platform right up here. they got them all named. this is the "BalconTree," right
above me. it all comes down to a central spiral staircase platform that leads up
into the trees! it's absolutely magical here, guys! they've got a big main stage
for dances and celebrations. come check it out, guys! come check out Out'N'About
Treehouse Treesort, and the Treehouse Ziplines! this is where my husband works,
when I get back into the work world, this is where I'll be coming back to work, and
it's just a really awesome place! if you plan to stay in one of these wonderful
treehouses, make sure that you call and try to book a tree house like a YEAR in
advance, because these are really popular and the sooner you book the better! same
with the ziplines, you don't necessarily have to call a year in advance, but with
ziplines, make sure you call in advance! they prefer that, it makes easier to plan
classes and let their guides know. so guys, I really hope you enjoyed this
