Youtube daily report Jan 25 2018

morning everybody my name is Adam welcome to the vlog today here in h

Barcelona I'm using a different camera today so it's a lot more stable stable

that says today I like this one a lot more but we're here on our way to

business meeting same one yesterday but it's so noisy here today

listen Liz are you today Shelby yeah good good good yeah this place is so

beautiful I know you know talking away

just get into the fab cafe right now we have a business meeting in like maybe 15

minutes 20 minutes or so between you prepare for this it's gonna be really

exciting I love business meetings because you can really talk to your

clients about like whatever they want in like real good details are ways like

good morning how are you doing today okay - sleep so guys yesterday we were

given the task of taking a photograph of something that represented our whole day

this is what we got yesterday this was the lobster nothing happened like the

camera Basu dark outside so I thought right in memory of the lobster I take a

photo of the camera we did spend some time in there but it some planning for

the business meeting we haven't actually had the business meeting yet but we did

some planning right now we're on launch we just had launches had something to

eat there was super nice all were here at this archway we were at yesterday

seized by massive archway right over here actually here it's called the Arc

de Triomphe and has the same name as the one in France but what we're gonna do

yesterday we were right here and we were looking for the mammoth apparently if

you go through this arch mammoth is like Ondine and the park was like a massive

Central Park here we're just gonna go down and see if the story as I really

want to see the park because I wished that this whole Beldon thing there's

just beldon's everywhere no trees and then you go down here there's just like

a nice Park and I'm here with Michael and Josh Michael Josh is good I did

beautiful it's so warm here all like you this

walking down here at night one of these really old like vintage cameras you take

photographs with look at this thing over here I don't know one of those guys but

I just love palm trees see just seeing palm trees like this super beautiful

super is I don't know it makes me happy one of them think it's gonna walk down

to the park now which is like a long walk straight down this way now there's

the bike art behind is right there the big arch really really nice is

everything good one other's people painting over here to see I know if you

can see them the other people paintin right over here we're in the park right

now you guys somewhere in this area right here is the mama we don't know

where it is but I thought it stop or show you guys this thing right gulp true

thing is like a water for thyroid it

but deep do you think this water is Melbourne do you think I could jump for

like here would that corner right I'm gonna do it cleared I think I could jump

over that I can do yeah

don't we to do it I was asking myself I could make this jump from like the water

to the platform but I was like it's too far and Michael's like I'm gonna do that

whoa okay Megan how do you get back did you get back from their bank

still looking for the Monmouth guys we've started looking around again there

we sat and chilled but no again we're looking for the mammoth Italy I don't

know ye but it's just thing in my head once I was told about it I would needed

to see it it's like a task that I need to accomplish if you have something

you're had you needed you did just do it with unreason not like stupid things

buddy we're told it's like Oh more the left-hand side of the park

putting them on us by the way it's like way over that way we just seen it from a

distance we're gonna head over to it nice you guys know every single day

someone has to take the Polaroid camera and take a photo with it and do whatever

yesterday we took two photos I'm saying earlier in the vlog today today's turn

its Michael's turn Michael is a Polaroid camera it's good it's good it's good to

be visible by the baby Michael's gonna take it and take a photograph of the

mama oh my Kunis you how long it took us to

find this thing we've been walking around for ages when we find it we're

gonna go over to this thing finally

we've done a cache the mammoth is right here I'm gonna go touch it because I

will never ever be back here to look for this thing again here those guys we made

it are you gonna take this photo on it

boom that's the photo right there guys what do you think let us know in the

comments that was that's Josh and that's me

really good left the seat right there do you guys can see that's huge just

like like a marble or something right now we're going to turn over this area

right here this is like the cello area the editing station where you just sort

of Chell and you know you do whatever so I'm sure you guys in here let's have a

little look right ha it approved you guys yeah so over here let's start we

have energy station this is where all the animatic Barcelona from this point

awkward thing ever because there's no my spine you're trying to use the sheets as

I my spine it just doesn't work do the annotation I went up top here I'm gonna

do the Edit and then Michael is my he's working over here in this laptop

Michael thank you very much to help bad at the belongs because thickness of my

own is like nearly impossible because our sleep schedules gonna end up messed

up Michaels job I'm in more of the hyper lapses and photography side of it my

heart is a sample in the video color grading all that kind of stuff let's

move on with the turn down here you like this random computer that no one uses

you cut this game right over here you know you've got a gammon station this is

our office we got all this again uh three balls

yeah pill table right over here we actually had a gimmick pool last night

Michael and I it was really coats are not Hatton balls all over the show TV

over here and things in Spanish so we can't really understand it I don't

really watch TV animate but we've got that hard they've got to these old

arcade games which you're like super cool you have like super and felicitous

focus faultless and you have super to games that are really good that's not

super let's feel furious at the top and then this one's Aero fighters chariots

actually not cold foulest that's the name of the machine Aero fighters to

then alright in this way over here we've got like a vending machine zipper

feeling you know peckish got like crisps and stuff here you've got like a what do

you call this drinks bottle dispenser and this way you

sort of leads on to the rest of the apartment and there's people here we're

going back to this I mean the best part of all we've beat banks

like what you don't talk about my feet banks if this isn't the best editing

station in the world I don't know what us throw my dice over you join the club

and then I know this for right here for you join smart I like convoluted

like that and if you're new here subscribe down below the little red

button on the snow it's great weed you guys already subscribe on that

Shaping The Arm: Biceps, Triceps & Forearms - Duration: 16:18.

Hey what's up guys, happy 2018 - this is the first video of 2018 for me so we're

gonna kick things off with a bang and focus on that arm shape, looking at the

bicep, the tricep, and the forearm, so we're gonna cover about five or six

different exercises have a look at a circuit and kind of break this down so

that you can do it whether you're a beginner or more of an advanced lifter

or even a competitor. Before we get started

shout out to squarespace.com for sponsoring this video

I'll tell you a little bit more about them later including a sneak peek at my

brand new relaunch of my website so stay tuned for the end of the video

Anyway, now let's get started on the first of our three main exercises: biceps

triceps, and forearms. Let's go!

So when it comes to training the biceps, your elbows are really in one of two

positions at the side of the body or at the front and you want to include both

of these variants within your workout so that you work in the long head and the

short head of the bicep. The first exercise that we're going to

do now is focusing on the short head and this is a classic understated exercise:

Seated concentration curl. Let's have a look at how you do it

Concentration curl is a fantastic exercise for peaking the bicep. You don't

need a whole lot of weight but you do need to execute this exercise properly

and for that we need to start with the positioning of the elbow. We're not doing

it inside the leg like this and lifting outwards. The elbow is rotated round so

the tricep is really at the side of the body, wrist, elbow, shoulder all in

alignment. Therefore as we lift, that bicep is lifting the maximum amount of

weight spread across the full width. You can see here as I curl up, the wrist and

shoulder almost come to me and you get that nice peak in the bicep there so

make sure you get a full length keeping tension on the bicep.

We're not letting the weight touch, we're keeping tension there. A nice smooth

transition up forcing that bicep - big squeeze up at the top, and then slowly

back down. 12-15 repetitions. You don't really need to push much higher than

that but you make sure that you have enough resistance, but you're starting to

struggle on those 10, 11, 12 reps, one on each side, and then we can move on to the

next exercise and for that I've set up a rope on a seated cable rows machine. You

can do this on the floor as well and this exercise looks something like this.

So with this one you might be thinking what's the difference between performing

it with cables or a dumbbell - well tension on the muscle, and also a

placement of the elbows. You'll notice with this one on the lying cable curl, my

elbows are at the side of the body, so instead of keeping it more isolated,

which is what I was doing with that first exercise, my biceps have a little

bit longer length to fully stretch out and focuses more on the long head, so if

I do a bicep pose there, you can kind of see a split there - that's the short head

this kind of fat muscle here and then the long head of the bicep is more

positioned around here just because of the attachment and the insertion so

we're kind of focusing more on the peak as well as this one. Full length in that

cable and as we curl up I'm bringing the wrist slightly outward so I have a

different tension pulling on the biceps. Also on this one you don't want the

elbows to pull forwards. With that first exercise we have the elbow fixed up

against the knee making it very hard to create momentum as we lift, with this one

it's a little bit too easy to pull the elbows up as we're finishing off that

exercise so you want to make sure the elbows remain fixed at the side of the

body and all we're doing is flexing and extending at the elbow cables. I like to

go a little bit higher 12, 15 even 20 repetitions. You get a great pump in the

bicep, a lot of blood pooling in the muscle, so these two exercises whether

performed back-to-back as a drop set or a superset, or 3 or 4 sets from one

exercise and then 3 maybe 4 sets at most on the next exercise with no more than

60 seconds rest in between. We're not lifting a whole lot of weight so we want

to keep that intensity and that pump in the biceps pretty high. So these two

exercises can be performed really within about 6 or 8 minutes total for both. Now

let's move on have a look at triceps, which I'll also include often in my

bicep workout.

First of our tricep exercises: a single overhead extension. This is a great

exercise for shape, so you know when we look at the bicep pose like this - a large

portion of that is actually made up of the tricep - this muscle here, so focusing

on this particular muscle within a number of exercises will help give you

more of an illusion of that bicep shape, regardless whether you're on stage, you

want to do photo shoots, or you know - you just want to look good working out in

the gym and start to see some improvements on some of the areas that

you really want to work on. So triceps, just as, if not more important than that

bicep when exercising to really get that whole look going. So with this exercise

how I hold the dumbbell - extend up... So without, you want to keep the upper arm

practically upright next to the side of the head, so arm sort of inline with the

ear. this isn't moving back and forth. All I'm then doing is lengthening that tricep

by lowering the weight down getting really good stretch on that tricep here

you can see I'll go quite deep a full stretch the flexibility is an issue for

you just lower down enough until you feel a stretch on the side of the arm

there and then extend back up. Now, if the weight becomes too heavy for you then you

can also support the arm there as you're lifting, and this is a similar exercise

to those skull crushers when you're laying down flat or performing overhead

extensions, except that by performing single arm each time, you can focus a lot

more on the quality of the movement rather than just trying to force that

weight to finish those repetitions. So 12, 10, even 15 repetitions gives you a great

pump in that tricep, focus on full extension, and as you raise that dumbbell

back up, lengthening the arm, really squeeze and pump that tricep by

contracting it hard. Alright, let's move on have a look at the second of our

tricep exercises.

The straight-arm press down or push down, whatever name you want to call it, a lot

of people tend to focus on other exercises for mass and size in the

triceps but let's not forget this is a cornerstone exercise that you really

should be including in your arm workout. You'll see here that I'm using a

straight bar as opposed to a rope and the simple fact is I feel I get much

more tension in the triceps rather than putting in some of that anterior - the

front deltoid, if I'm using a rope. So once again: triceps are positioned at the

side of the body, if you want to step back a little to position the arms

forwards that's fine a little bit more tension on the triceps there from a

variety of angles, full extension down, contract the triceps hard, and then back

up without allowing the elbows to pull forwards.

It's this movement - really squeezing, you can see the difference there, if I'm just

moving my arms down to complete the reps as opposed to focusing and engaging,

contracting that muscle, that's the real difference between making some great

progress and just kind of doing the same exercises week in, week out, without any

real progress. So focus on contracting that muscle and really forcing it at the

end of each rep. 12 or 15 repetitions here and these four exercises with our

biceps and triceps I actually like to do back-to-back so my two biceps, two

triceps then back to biceps back to triceps and so on for a total of three

maybe four super sets. You can see both the short head, the long head, focusing on..

If I show the horseshoe effect there, this area of the tricep here which is the one

you see there. So don't just focus on one exercise for each of them, make sure that

we're hitting the biceps and triceps with a variety of different angles.

If you perform this one week, the next week try doing it with cables, barbells or

dumbbells. Same as this one, you can switch it up, underhand, use different

attachments, V-bar attachments, so that you're constantly working the muscle from a

variety of different angles and the body doesn't become too comfortable with

those movements. Speaking of which, let's have a look at our final circuit

for forearms, which is basically half the arm. We focus too much on biceps

especially. One of my goals for this year is to really get the forearm muscle up,

so these next three exercises are going to help strengthen both the wrist

muscles and start to get a little bit more size and definition around the

forearm, which makes it a lot easier when performing big exercises such as back

dumbbell rows, barbell rows, deadlifts and pulldowns. So forearm and grip strength are

two components needed if you're looking for a complete and balanced physique.

Let's have a look at our forearm circuit over here.

I always get a really good pump in my forearms when training them with biceps and triceps simply because I'm

using them in a lot of the exercises and that's where a lot of the blood has

pooled into those muscles. The only other time our training is with a big exercise

or muscle group such as back, sometimes chest or shoulders, and I'm usually

hitting them twice a week to really give them the attention that they need. These

three exercises here: starting off with the reverse grip EZ bar curl.

You might think that's more of a bicep exercise, and it is, it does work the

biceps but that overhand grip, reversing the exercise as opposed to underhand

grip, brings in more of this area of the forearm - so you can see this gets worked

a lot with the biceps but not as much when we do it this way. By reversing our

grip both with a straight bar, EZ bar, using the bar or cables, or even

dumbbells, pulls in a lot more of this muscle here, which is really what helps

make part of the arm complex, certainly in that pose. Similar technique here

keeping the elbows fixed full range of motion and you'll notice with that EZ

bar which just gives me a better position holding as opposed to both arms

horizontal like this, is that I'm flicking my wrist up very slightly at

the top and movement. So not only am i involving this muscle a lot, I'm really

kind of giving a little little bit more focus and attention up at the top by

lifting my wrists up. You'll see this exercise replicated in

the third one which we'll look at right now. I can do this with an EZ bar,

straight bar, it's just more comfortable performing with a dumbbell.

So our forearm resting on the edge of the thigh like this and you'll see that it's

a full extension and curl under. Not much weight, only ten pounds here. I'm aiming

for about 15 reps even 20 for forearms, like with calves and abdominals

these are more endurance based muscles, we use them a lot day in day out, so we

need a little more intensity to really affect them rather than trying to lift

heavy weights for fewer repetitions. The second exercise, straight bar, opening the

hands out like this getting a nice long stretch on the forearms and then that

reverse movement where we're curling all the way up. You can see the muscle

contracting there so don't go too heavy to the point where you can't fully contract

that muscle. Open it out, stretch, practically letting the bar roll down to

the fingertips, and then close that hand back up and fully curl, contract and get

that pump going in the forearms. So this circuit here I can usually replicate in

about eight minutes, so both with biceps triceps and the forearms,

you can easily get this workout done in about 30 minutes or you can start to

pull exercises out and combine them with larger muscle groups such as the back

and forearms or just biceps and triceps on their own, but don't forget about the

forearms. So I said at the beginning of this video I'll give you a glimpse of my

new website launching in about two weeks

from now. This is kind of the homepage of it, a lot of blogs, a lot of articles, a

lot of videos on there as well - it's all free so you'll be able to go on browse

all of my workouts, meal recipes nutrition and really get an idea for

making your next move when it comes to planning out your training. Speaking of

which, I mentioned Squarespace at the beginning. This is a great platform to be

able to build your own website whether you want to showcase photos, videos like

I'm doing, share some information or if you're a personal trainer and you want a

place where other people who come and really find out about who you are, your

services, and have a place but all you're social

media content. I've had a website for a decade now since I started doing all

this Fitness, one of the things that makes it so easy about building your own

website with the likes of Squarespace, which you can click on the

What is Crosstalk and How to Identify it With an Oscilloscope - Scopes University - (S1E9) - Duration: 6:32.

PCB form-factor requirements are getting smaller and smaller, which means

we're designing our layouts with traces closer and closer together. But if we put

them too close, they can interfere with each other causing the receiver to get

incorrect information. In this episode we will be walking through how the effects

of crosstalk can help you make important design and redesign decisions.

Hi, I'm Melissa and welcome to Scope's University.

If you have traces too close together they can interfere with each other. Serial data can disrupt power

lines, power lines can disrupt serial lines, and serial lines can interfere with

each other. Think of a self-driving vehicle. What if a serial packet was sent

that was meant to turn a vehicle left by 90 degrees, but because of interference

from another trace, the receiver saw this. And what if this packet means to turn

the car right by 90 degrees. Obviously some protocols have more strict

margins than others, but you get my point. We want to send accurate signals.

When signals on a board interfere with each other, we call this crosstalk.

Luckily, you don't have to wait for your components to malfunction or your

self-driving prototype to drive itself into a lake to find out if you have an

issue. I'm going to show you how you can use Keysight's crosstalk application to

find crosstalk and model how much better your designs could be without it.

The crosstalk app can analyze up to four signals at once, so, if you have

multiple traces close together you can test them all. On my board, I have three

serial data lines that are very close together and I think that trace in the

middle is at risk with interference from the traces on either side of it. My

middle trace is the victim signal and the ones on the outside are called the

aggressor signals. I've connected the victim to channel 1 and the aggressors

to channels 2 and 3. First I'll create an eye diagram to see what my margins look

like and find out if there is really a problem. I've centered my waveforms on

screen and vertically scaled them. So now I'll go to analyze, choose quick eye

diagrams, and channel 1. This shows me what the eye diagram is of

the victim signal. You can see the eye opening is very small which means I do

have errors and could be sending false packets, potentially sending my drone

right into my coworker instead of up into the sky.

But redesigning and building a new PCB board can be extensive, a lot of hard

work, and very expensive. So to find out if it is worth it to go through all of

that, I could have my crosstalk application quantify the amount of

crosstalk on my victim, then remove it so I can view how my signal would look

if I had a better layout. To you set up my crosstalk application I'll go to the

analyze menu and choose crosstalk. I want my channel 1 signal to be set up

as the victim and I'll have the scope automatically configure my thresholds

and clock recovery. I'm going to set channel 2 as an agressor signal. It's

serial data and again I'm going to have the scope Auto configure that. And

channel 3 is also an aggressor so I'll just go through the same steps. Now going

back to signal 1, I'm going to remove crosstalk from signal 2, signal 3, and any

unknown crosstalk or noise that could be occurring. Now I'll just enable this

application and let the tool run. This red trace is now signal 1, the victim

signal, with all of the crosstalk from channels 2 and 3 and any unknown

crosstalk removed. Already we can see improvement. I'll create an eye diagram

of this function to find out just how much it can be improved. To create an

eye diagram on a function I'll go back to my analyze menu and I'll choose

gallery, and I'll scroll down to this real-time eye, and here's my function

crosstalk 1 and I'll turn on the eye diagram for that. Now you can see just

how much more open the eye actually is compared to our original signal as is.

To quantify how much more open the eye is, I can add some measurements.

We'll go to the measurement menu, add measurements, and over here I'm going to

choose eye, and then we'll add eye height and eye width. Down here are my

measurements so my eye width is 74 ps and my eye height is only

27.7 mV. Let's see how that compares to the

signal with crosstalk removed. I'll go to measure, add measurement, and we'll add

eye height - first I have to choose my source - so do this on crosstalk 1. We'll

apply eye height and we'll apply eye width. If I redesign my board to

improve the layout and get rid of the crosstalk my eye width could potentially

be 125 ps compared to the 88 ps we have now.

Additionally the eye height is 109 mV, whereas the eye height as it

is in this design is only 13 mV. After seeing how much better my eye

diagram is with the crosstalk removed, I think in this case it might be worth it

for me to redo my layout and find a better route for these traces and I can

use these measurements to justify the extra budget I need for a redesign. If

you think this analysis tool would be useful to you, I encourage you to check

out the link in the description below.

This episode concludes the first

season of scopes University. Thanks to everyone who tuned in and watched. If

you're excited about the next season of scopes University or if you have any

ORIENTATION IN THE NATURE - SHORT SURVIVAL & BUSHCRAFT VIDEO - Duration: 3:00.

Hello. My name is Tom and today we are going to talk about the orientation in nature.

Nowadays a variety of technological tools are being used along with GPS navigation

so that people do not even know how to survive in such an environment.

Today I will show you a few tips that can help you in this environment

When you get lost in nature, the basic thing is to find a river

and to follow the flow.

When you go along its flow, you can find civilization

but if you do not find any river, lake or stream

it is sometimes important to know what to do.

The first thing that is good to know

to determine North, South, East and West

is by using these branches.

When the sun shines above my head like now

so you just need to stick one branch

which shows you the East.

Here you get another ..

Wait 15 minutes and where the shadow will be

for example here, you will have an east-west line

when the first mark is East.

The four winds can also be determined by wristwatch.

If you have a watch and the sun shines above your head

you make the minute hand poiting towards the sun and divide the angle between it and the number 12

Once you do that you will find that it is somewhere here ... I do not know if the camera captures it well

and in this direction we have the North and behind me is the South

If the sun is not shining well and it is cloudy

there are also other ways to help you identify the world winds.

E.g. plants in the Northern Hemisphere turn to the South

as they grow more to the South - to the sun.

And in the Southern Hemisphere, it's exactly the opposite.

they grow to the North side

In nature, you can also identify the world winds according to the stump and its rings.

If you look good at a stump which has rings, you will find out

that the rings have more space between them in the direction of the equator.

If you are looking for a lake in nature or a river

remember that it's always important

to notice the insects and birds around.

I know from my own experience

that where is the water, you will see birds and insects.

It is also good to note where denser vegetation grows

because where denser vegetation can be, there can be some creek

and where there is a stream, there may be a river.

It is good to remember that water is life.

Where there is a lake, there is probably a fisherman

It is also important to inform your loved ones when you go on a journey

because sometimes something unexpected can happen.

Republicans Surrender To Democrats, Until Donald Throws Water On Their Dumpster Fire

Plans

As President Trump achieves win after win for the country, Congress is dropping the

ball.

Americans wonder why the GOP is having so much trouble, considering they have the majority.

Yet time and again, Republicans fail to work with the President.

They kowtow to liberals, who have no reason to help.

Democrats want Trump to fail.

Their entire agenda is to disrupt his plans, even if that means hurting the country.

It almost looked like Paul Ryan was going to push a costly measure in the controversial

spending bill that would have given the Democrats a big huge win.

But that's not going to happen, thanks to Trump.

Image result for paul ryan

From The New York Times:

President Trump blew up Republican strategies to keep the government open past Friday when

on Thursday morning he said a long-term extension of the popular Children's Health Insurance

Program should not be part of a stopgap spending bill pending before the House.

With a possible government shutdown looming this weekend, the House had planned to vote

late Thursday on a stopgap spending bill that would keep government funding flowing to Feb.

16 as delicate negotiations continue to protect young, undocumented immigrants brought illegally

as children from deportation.

Republican leaders have spent the week pressuring Democrats to vote for the spending bill, arguing

that opposing it would effectively block a six-year extension of the children's health

program, attached to the spending bill as a sweetener for lawmakers in both parties…

Even if the House manages to pass the bill, the Senate would still need to give its approval

in order to avert a shutdown early Saturday morning, and at least nine Democrats are needed

to overcome an expected filibuster.

This government shut down will be the left's fault.

No matter how the liberals spin it, they are the ones to blame.

They have refused, time and again, to work with Trump and the Republicans.

Democrats are behaving like spoiled children.

They are proving they don't care about you or me.

Or the rest of the country.

They'd love to see it all burn, just to frustrate the President.

The question is: are we going to let them get away with it?

These people are in office, only because we voted for them.

In the upcoming mid-term elections, we have a chance to eject them from office.

We better, or else we will see the same kind of corruption thriving in D.C. for years to

come.

Luge Stories to Watch at PyeongChang 2018 | Olympic Winter Games - Duration: 6:13.

PyeongChang 2018: Stories To Watch.

Luge.

The sport of luge got its Olympic start

at Innsbruck 1964.

Since that time, only five countries have ever won

a gold medal in luge.

That's 43 events, total. More on that in a moment.

So, what are the events?

At the Games of 2018

you will see the men's and women's singles,

doubles, as well as an event just added

at the last Olympics, the team relay.

Luge has the most medals among the three sliding sports.

The luge track at PyeongChang is the Olympic Sliding Centre.

And it will also be the venue for bobsleigh

and skeleton during the Olympic Winter Games.

The artificial track has been around since 2016

and features 16 turns.

The men's course stretches more than 1,300 metres,

with an altitude drop of 117 metres.

That's like leaping off of Big Ben or the Statue of Liberty.

The women rates a bit over 1,200 metres, with 13 turns.

Which movie character claimed he grew up taking luge lessons?

The answer later on PyeongChang 2018:

The Stories To Watch.

No man has been more dominant sliding for singles titles

recently than Felix Loch of Germany.

Back-to-back gold medals at the last two Olympics

have made Felix the unquestioned name

to watch in 2018.

In Vancouver he became the youngest slider

to win luge at an Olympics.

Since then, no-one has had greater success.

That's really important, to win the medals.

We have two or three young guys,

I hope they will be the next Felix.

If Felix Loch can manage another victory in 2018,

he would equal the all-time Olympic mark

of three consecutive gold medals

held by the legendary German Georg Hackl,

who went undefeated in the 1990s.

No-one would be happier for Felix than his father, Norbert,

coach of the team.

It should come as no surprise that one of the top women

to watch is from Germany.

Natalie Geisenberger is a three-time Olympic medallist.

She got her start in the sport at the age of ten.

Her first Games, at 22, saw her earn the bronze medal.

At the last Olympics, Natalie not only won the singles title

but the inaugural mixed team relay as well.

It will be etched in history

as the first double luge gold for women at one Olympics.

(OLYMPIC MEDALS)

Fifth all time in overall medals won is West Germany,

with ten total, fourth is long-time power Austria.

In third sits Italy with seven gold medals.

Then the big two - East Germany,

and at the top, Germany, winning a whopping 36 medals.

Tatjana Huefner of Germany is taking part

in her fourth Games.

A soldier in the German army when she competed

in her first Olympics in 2006, she put together runs

good enough to earn the bronze medal.

Four years later, at Vancouver,

the now 26-year-old Tatjana won the gold medal,

and in Sochi she turned in a steady silver performance.

With a fourth medal in PyeongChang,

Tatjana would become the most

decorated female luger in Games history.

Did you know that in 54 years of Olympic competition,

only one person has won a singles medal

who was not from Europe?

Her name is Erin Hamlin,

and the slider from the USA is returning in 2018

aiming to better her bronze medal performance from Sochi.

The three-time Olympic veteran

can handle and find any advantage from her experience

on the new track in PyeongChang.

Sochi for example was also a new track,

and by the time we got to race day,

in my mind I had

really been able to pick apart the run,

and every time I went down, even if I wasn't perfect,

I had enough confidence in my ability.

The last two Olympics have seen the defending bronze medallist

go on to win the gold medal.

Can Hamlin repeat history,

and become the third straight champion?

The most decorated luger in Olympic history,

Armin Zoeggeler, retired after 2014.

He now coaches Italy's

promising team and its star, Dominik Fischnaller.

I don't like comparing myself to Dominik Fischnaller

and vice versa.

He's learned a lot from me

and our goal is to reach the podium.

Dominik debuted at the 2014 Olympics

with a sixth place finish.

His aim, of course, is to become Italy's first singles

winner since Zoeggeler.

Dominik celebrates his 25th birthday on February 20th,

the 12th day of the Games.

Maybe with the pressure off,

he'll get to watch a Bayern Munich match,

his favourite football club.

Doubles will once again see brother duos

strive for an Olympic crown.

Keep your eyes on Andris and Juris Sics from Latvia.

These siblings have earned three medals in three Games

which labels them as the most decorated Latvians

ever in Winter,

but their bronze finishes in 2014 have them hungry for more.

Can they topple the non-brother team from Germany,

Toni Eggert and Sascha Benecken?

By the way, the answer to which movie character revealed

he had grown up taking luge lessons...?

It was none other than Dr Evil.

Finally, for people who want to see action

at the Olympic Sliding Centre,

word is out about this new track.

Starting on the 10th, you can catch the men's singles event.

The next two days will crown the women's champion.

On the 14th, all the doubles will take place,

culminating with the new team relay on the night of the 15th.

The Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang,

set to begin February 9th.

Fill your knowledge tank by watching other episodes

on Olympic Channel.

10 Crazy Conspiracies That Turned Out to be True - Duration: 13:12.

Conspiracy theories will always fire up the imaginations of even the most reasonable of

us.

It's fascinating to imagine a bunch of people in a dark room, controlling actions from their

chairs and encouraging events that change the course of the world, with no one truly

being the wiser.

Now, most conspiracy theories are flimsy nonsense that are obviously full of holes and not true

at all.

However, some conspiracy theories have more truth than most people would ever imagine.

In some situations, there really was a group of people in a dark room conspiring to massively

pull the wool over the eyes of others, in order to change the course of the world.

10.

The US Government Once Planned A False Flag Operation Against Their Own People

When most people hear about the 9/11 conspiracy theories, they have very similar reactions.

Most people believe that the amount of complexity and manpower required to pull off such an

operation would have meant that we would have had far too many people snitching about what

happened for the conspirators to ever get away with it.

People also seem skeptical that the government would ever even consider something so horrific.

However, while it seems like something out of a dark fantasy, the truth is that the United

States government has, at the highest levels, planned similar operations in the past.

During the Kennedy years, the United States greatest threat were the Cubans led by Fidel

Castro, and some in the government were looking for an excuse to start an actual ground war

with the Cubans — something they wanted to get public support for both at home and

around the world.

It was to achieve this goal that the joint chiefs of staff at the time came up with a

plan, and proposed it to JFK, to attack United States citizens and property (while pretending

to be Cubans) as part of a false flag effort to gain support for a war.

Kennedy was very angry and told them it was a terrible, immoral idea and that they were

to shelve it and never bring it up again.

However, while Kennedy did not want to play ball, that doesn't mean there weren't

ever any presidents who would consider taking part in a similar plot.

9.

President Woodrow Wilson's Wife Ran The Presidency For Over A Year

During Woodrow Wilson's presidency, he was considered a very hard working executive,

whether you liked the man and his politics or not.

He was regularly traveling the world in his attempts to get the United States involved

in worldwide political alliances, and also engaged in speaking tours across the country.

Unfortunately, his habits of hard work eventually caught up with him and nearing the end of

his presidency, he suffered from a stroke.

Many people at the time wondered if something was wrong, and if there might be a conspiracy

to keep the extent of the president's troubles from the public.

In fact, the government tried so hard to cover it up that his stroke and general ill health

was not known for months.

Even after that the true damage was never really spoken about to the press and not known

for years later.

Many people suspected that his health was indeed worse than the government was letting

on, and that his wife was actually making most of the decisions — basically being

the first woman president, in a way.

While Edith claimed that she was nothing but a steward, historians who studied the time

period in later years are certain that she practically was the chief executive of our

country for well over a year.

For those who still doubt her influence, keep in mind that while Edith Wilson was running

the show, women finally gained the right to vote.

8.

HAARP Is Not A Weather Control Device, But Massive Weather Control Has Been Attempted

Many people like to go on about HAARP, a government science project that many people were convinced

had a lot more going on than actually met the eye.

The government claimed it was simply testing radio waves and their effects on the ionosphere

and other mundane things that aren't really that interesting.

Of course, conspiracy theorists were certain that something boring couldn't actually

be boring; it had to be hiding something actually interesting.

Of course, all evidence points to the government telling the truth in this case, and HAARP

being nothing more than a rather mundane research project that was shut down when the research

had run its course.

However, that doesn't mean weather control attempts have never been made, or that the

governments of the world aren't trying to understand the science behind it better.

We know that during the Vietnam war, the United States government tried to seed the clouds

around South Vietnam with various substances in the hopes it would increase rainfall and

make the war effort harder for their enemies.

It certainly doesn't stretch the imagination that technology of that sort has improved

over time, if the government has decided to continue researching it.

7.

The United States Government Has Experimentally Poisoned US Cities Multiple Times

Many people will claim that the government is secretly poisoning you in one way or another,

whether through chemtrails, fluoride, or some other insidious means.

Now, evidence has shown that most of these theories are total hogwash; however, that

doesn't mean the United States government has never poisoned its own people.

According to records that were released years after the fact, from the 1950s through the

early 1970s, the United States government conducted nearly 300 bacterial weapon attacks

on various US cities in order to understand the results.

One of the most famous of these was in San Francisco, where the government wanted to

see if the fog would help spread a biological attack, and if an enemy could stage such an

attack from the sea.

They used hoses to release the bacteria, and according to their own data, it reached essentially

everyone in the city and effectively spread out enough that if it were a harmful bacteria,

the damage could be horrific.

While the United States government used bacteria that they thought were mostly harmless, multiple

people were proven to be hospitalized because of the attack, and at least one person died

because of it.

The United States secret experiments were deeply against the Nuremberg codes they had

just recently agreed to, which makes the entire thing all the more irresponsible and immoral.

6.

There Is Some Small Truth To The Beliefs People Have In Government Spraying Chemtrails

One of the most oft recurring conspiracy theories is the claim that the government (or governments)

are spraying chemicals in the upper atmosphere in order to do all kinds of terrible things.

Some people claim that the chemicals are to slowly make people stupider, while other people

claim the earth has an overpopulation problem, and world governments are releasing anti-fertility

drugs into the upper atmosphere.

Of course, there is no evidence for any of this, and scientists and other engineers in

the know will tell you that the trails you see from planes are not out of the ordinary.

Even if planes were secretly releasing chemicals, it would be impossible to sample properly

to prove it.

However, while there is no concerted effort to poison the atmosphere, and no known plan

to ruin peoples' fertility or anything of the sort, the fact is that governments of

the world have strongly considered and researched geo-engineering solutions to our current climate

change problem, and if they thought they had a workable idea, they would almost certainly

attempt it — and they may or may not immediately tell the public about such an attempt.

Even back in the days of Lyndon Johnson, scientists have been proposing dealing with climate problems

with massive geo-engineering, either with satellites in orbit, particles laced in our

upper atmosphere — which sounds similar to chemtrail theories — or any number of

other crazy solutions.

Of course, while we know governments have attempted at least somewhat massive geo-engineering

in terms of making it rain, there is no hard evidence that massive attempts to push back

environmental damage are at anything more than the research stage as of now.

5.

The Assassination Of Abraham Lincoln Was Not Just One Crazy Actor Acting Alone

Now, folks at the time of Lincoln's assassination may or may not have immediately known or guessed

that many different people were involved, however, most people today tend to not be

aware of the scale of the plot.

Many people today believe that the assassination of a president like JFK could not have been

pulled off by one lone wolf, but don't give much thought to the common belief held by

most people that John Wilkes Booth acted alone when killing President Lincoln.

The truth is, though, assassinating a president is very hard work and Booth had a lot of help.

There were several co-conspirators involved and they all had a role to play.

If they had succeeded, they could have sowed horrific chaos in the highest levels of the

United States government.

The thing was, it was a much bigger conspiracy than most people know, and included most of

his important cabinet members.

One man was supposed to kill Vice President Johnson, but lost his nerve, and another man

attempted to kill the Secretary of War, William Seward, but failed in his attempt.

Booth also would likely not have managed to escape without help, as he had co-conspirators

helping him along to freedom as well, after he murdered the president.

4.

During Vietnam The US Government Fabricated An Attack To Gain Support For War

Many people consider the idea of the government actually lying to get us into war as unthinkable,

and some are still convinced that the Bush administration was only mistaken when it came

to Iraq, WMDs, and that country's involvement in 9/11.

People simply don't like to believe that their government would lie to them just so

they could start a violent conflict in another part of the world, or amp up one that was

already ongoing.

However, back during the days of the Vietnam War, that is exactly what happened.

There was an incident with a US ship called the Maddox, which supposedly reported a torpedo

attack from the Vietnamese, which led to further involvement by the US in Vietnam.

The truth, however, is that the entire thing was a total fabrication, designed from beginning

to end in order to get us further into the war.

The Johnson administration actually sent the Maddox to perform covert attacks for the express

purpose of egging the enemy on to attack them, so they could get more support for war.

On top of that, the torpedo was a false signal and the Maddox quickly told the higher ups

it was a false alarm, but the top brass still used it as an excuse for more war funding.

3.

The US Government Deliberately Poisoned Alcohol During Prohibition To Discourage Use

Prohibition was one of the strangest eras in the history of the United States.

People who were convinced drinking was the worst thing ever pushed super hard to ruin

everyone's fun, and they succeeded for a time, but not before doing untold damage because

they couldn't mind their own business.

The ban on one of the most popular things to ever exist in the history of the world

backfired rather spectacularly, giving rise to all new organized crime groups, some of

which took decades to break up to the state they are today.

For a long time, the black market on drugs was very organized.

Of course, the government wasn't happy with people not only openly flouting the law whenever

possible, but also empowering criminal enterprises.

So, the United States government went to great length to poison a bunch of alcohol that they

knew would be making its way onto the black market, in order to make people less likely

to drink it.

This program adulterated the alcohol, making it unfit to drink and causing people to get

sick, and some to even go blind.

It would be many years after before the government admitted to their role in sickening people

who dared drink some booze while it was illegal.

While it sounds like an absurd conspiracy out of a very bad movie, it was a reality

during prohibition and added countless deaths and hospital visits to those already caused

by alcohol that was accidentally poisonous.

2.

Joseph McCarthy's Methods Were Wrong, But He Was More Right Than People Realize

Joseph McCarthy is considered to be one of the most wrong people who was ever wrong in

politics, according to most of America.

He is (in)famous for constantly and consistently decrying an incredible amount of people as

Russian spies, and angrily grilling them in front of the senate.

His paranoia about Russian agents was legendary, and his scorched earth tactics earned him

the ire of the nation, and the senate, who eventually decided to censure him in 1954.

However, while McCarthy's methods were almost certainly over the top, and put a lot of innocent

people unnecessarily through the ringer, the truth was that his paranoia may have been

more justified than many people realize.

Historical proof shows that the administrations of Truman and FDR were full of Russian spies,

that the communist party in America was funded by Moscow, and there were indeed several high

profile Russian agents that were caught around that time period, including Julius and Ethel

Rosenberg.

McCarthy may have gone about things almost entirely wrong, but his fears were not entirely

without justification.

The MLB May Have Changed The Baseballs For The 2017 World Series

Baseball has always had a bit of a problem when it comes to exciting crowds, and also

tends to have a bit of a trust problem with its fans.

For baseball nuts, it's really exciting to see a pitcher pitch a perfect game, for

example, but the sport is boring for a general audience.

This means that if the MLB wants more people to tune into games, they need to make sure

that more home runs happen, because it excites people's passions and keeps their butts

in the seats.

When the steroid scandal first broke, it turned out the rabbit hole went far deeper than anyone

thought, and it turned out that the MLB knew more than they were letting on and were trying

to cover things up, because viewership was up.

More recently, things have become rather suspicious once again.

The steroid era was starting to end and pitchers were getting control again — this meant

not as much excitement, so something had to be done.

The 2017 World Series set a record for having the most home runs in any World Series ever

played, and players from both teams are 100% convinced that the balls used were significantly

different.

Both teams claimed that the balls were noticeably slicker, and this meant pitchers found it

much harder to achieve proper control, which means more home runs.

While the MLB officially denied it, they officially denied knowledge of the steroid issue as well,

and with both teams agreeing there was a major difference, it's hard to believe the MLB's

denials in this situation.
