Youtube daily report Jan 21 2017

For the first time since the original, Capcom's newest Resident Evil game is literally about:

residents of a house who are evil.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard takes a newer, even darker spin on the now-classic series

and today, we're digging in deep.

I'm Katie with WickedFeed.

And today we're taking a look at 10 Wicked Facts About Resident Evil 7: Biohazard or,

for those of you with OCD, just Resident Evil 7.

Get ready to explore Dulvey, Louisiana in complete and total first person as Resident

Evil shifts back to its old horror roots.

Bon Appe'tit.

#10

Although known to us in the West as Resident Evil.

The series official title in Japan is Biohazard.

The title of the seventh installment intentionally combined the Western and Japanese titles -- for

marketing reasons.

#9

There have been some bizarre collector edition items over the years remember that Master

Chief helmet you thought was so cool when you were 14 and then immediately threw away

when you realized it was lady repellant?

Well, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard's collector's edition comes with a freaking house.

For 180 bucks, this can all be yours as well as a metal case, a VHS box and a bloody finger

USB stick that's actually pretty cool.

Reminds me of the Resident Evil 4 chainsaw controller.

Best thing about that was convincing other kids it was the only way to play Animal Crossings

*haha* I had a strange childhood.

#8

Resident Evil: Biohazard will be the first main installment of the series to be completely

first person.

One of the game's producers stated in an interview that this was due to the developers goal to

bring the series back to its horror roots.

It was determined that first person was the best way to present horror to players, essentially

eliminating any barriers between them and the action on screen.

Hopefully Freddy Fazbear doesn't show up.

#7

The game is set 4 years after the events of Resident Evil 6 -- in the fictional city of

Dulvey, Louisiana.

The protagonist's name is Ethan, who, unlike most of the series main characters is a civilian

that lacks proper combat skills.

It's been stated that although there are connections with previous entries of the series, Resident

Evil 7 will feature an entirely new cast of characters.

#6

Following the game's announcement at E3 2016, it was revealed that the director would be

Koshi Nakanishi who previously directed Resident Evil: Revelations.

Nakanishi stated that, after playing all of the first-person horror games out there, such

as Outlast, they decided to contrast many of them by allowing players to fight back

with weapons.

Hopefully, we can still get a rocket launcher...

I mean, the game takes place in the Bible Belt, so I'm assuming you don't need a license

for one.

#5

With the world of VR still in it's infancy, the news that Resident Evil 7 would be VR

compatible was exciting to many.

An ad posted on Reddit, revealed that the game will be exclusive to Sony's VR for 12

months suggesting that the game will eventually be supported on other platforms, like the

Oculus Rift, down the line.

#4

Resident Evil 6 wasn't exactly what most fans of the series had hoped for.

Many have suggested it was the evolved, more action-based gunplay that came from Resident

Evil 4 and 5 that influenced the developers to push the game in a sloppy direction.

Regardless, Resident Evil 7's producer, Masachika (pronounced: Masa-cheeka) Kawata, has ensured

fans that their criticism was heard.

Saying that the game will return to its survival horror roots and leave the more gun-heavy,

action gameplay for a separate release.

It's good to know the devs are listening.

#3

The original 1996 Resident Evil was actually a huge influence on the latest installment.

Director Koushi Nakanishi was a huge fan and described it as a touchstone for him and his

creation of Resident Evil 7 -- as well as Revelations.

#2

Based on the small, backwoods, southern town-vibe Resident Evil 7 has, it's not a surprise that

the game also has a lot of Western influence.

Nakanishi has stated that the atmosphere is very comparable to 1970's and 80's American

horror films.

A lonely house out in the fields or in the middle of nowhere in the countryside where

there's nobody to call for help.

He describes the Southern United States as being perfect because of how isolated and

helpless characters can be.

And finally: #1

VR will apparently bring a lot to Resident Evil 7.

Nakanishi describes first person as much more panic-inducing.

He says that he loves the feeling of claustrophobia you get in a first-person perspective.

And that losing the gap between the player and the character is one of the great things

about first person horror.

We'll also finally get to open those classic resident evil doors in actual, playable first

person.

It only took 20 years!

And there you have it.

10 WICKED Mass Effect Andromeda Facts You Need to Know - Duration: 4:31.

After a long wait, Mass Effect fans will finally get the chance to explore the galaxy again

with the release of Mass Effect Andromeda.

This time, not in the Milky Way, but somewhere completely new to humanity.

Filled with new alien races, planets to explore and hopefully a couple dance clubs to show

off some good old fashioned human dance moves to those new aliens.

Bioware has slowly revealed more and more about Andromeda over the last year and we're

as excited as Commander Sheppard is about his favorite stores.

This is my favorite store on the citadel!

I'm Kyle with WickedFeed, and today we're taking a look at 10 Wicked Facts About Mass

Effect Andromeda.

Whether you loved or hated the ending of Mass Effect 3 there's no denying, this one looks

really cool.

So let's get to it.

#1: The title Andromeda refers to the Andromeda

Galaxy.

The setting for the game, which has been described as far away from and long after the events

of the original trilogy.

600 years later, to be more precise.

As the mission to explore Andromeda was launched between Mass Effect 2 and 3 and required a

voyage of 600 years.

#2: The main character in the game will go by

the name Ryder.

Unlike Commander Sheppard, Ryder has yet to achieve hero status prior to the game's start

and will undergo a story arc much more similar to a traditional hero's journey.

If you remember back when you started Mass Effect 1, Sheppard had an already impressive

and heroic military record, which is completely different to the background of our new protagonists.

#3: The name Ryder is a reference to Sally Ride,

the first American woman in space.

This isn't the first time we've seen nods to real astronauts in space.

Buzz Aldrin most notably provided the voice for the Star Gazer in Mass Effect 3.

#4: As usual to the Mass Effect series, players

will be able to select their gender at the beginning of the game.

But unlike Commander Sheppard, who was different versions of the same character, the male and

female Ryders are different characters said to exist as twin siblings traveling to Andromeda.

#5: The male and female characters are named Scott

and Sara by default, and have the title Recon Specialist before assuming the role of Pathfinder.

The characters father, named Alec Ryder, is also titled with Pathfinder.

Real quick, let us know in the comment section what games you'd like featured in the future

on our Wicked Facts series.

All you have to do is like this video and we'll consider your suggestion for our next

episode.

Now, back to the facts!

#6: The Ryders will be onboard the Hyperion, an

Ark starship that has been assigned the mission of finding a new home for humanity in Andromeda

as part of what they call The Andromeda Initiative.

A coalition of other races from the Milky Way are also present on the journey.

#7: Due to the drastic change in setting and timeline,

none of the main characters from the main trilogy, such as Sheppard, Wrex, Garrus or

Tali, will be returning in Andromeda.

It's gonna be weird not having Garrus as our right-hand Turian.

Gonna miss him and that blue armor

You're My Boy Blue!

#8: The alien races returning to Andromeda, include

Turians, Salarians, Asari and Krogan.

Thank God, what would we do without those badass Krogan?

And although not all of the races will show up in Andromeda, they may show up in the future.

Bioware has stated We've designed the IP in such a way that they can all show up.

But for hopefully obvious reasons, they're not going to show up in the first game.

#9: One of the new races introduced in Andromeda

are The Kett.

An organic native alien race covered in bone armor.

They will be the main antagonist in the Andromeda galaxy and their culture is described as very

militaristic.

Their eyes are pale white and receded.

Creepy.

And finally.

#10: The game's tone has been described by Bioware

as lighter compared to Mass Effect 3 which was at times, very dark and philosophical

(maybe even a bit too philosophical) There's more humor and lightheartedness, and the dialogue

has a less serious tone to it.

Although the game isn't zany, the characters in it are younger, and you feel that in how

they are conveyed.

And there you have you.

DARING - Will Smith / MOTIVATIONAL VIDEO - Duration: 4:16.

I have a great time with my life, and

I want to share it.

The first step before anybody else in the world believe it is you have to believe it.

You don't try to build a wall, you don't set out to build a wall, you don't start there.

You say : « I'm gonna lay this brick, as perfectly as a brick can be laid. »

And you do that every single day.

I've never really viewed myself as particularly talented. Where I excel is ridiculous.

Sickening work ethic.

You know, while the other guys are sleeping, I'm working, while the other guys eating, I'm working.

Make a choice, right? You just decide.

What is gonna be, who you're gonna be, how you're gonna do it.

Just decide, and then from that point,

the universe is gonna get out of your way.

Greatness is not the wonderful, esoteric, elusive, God-like feature

that only the special among us will ever taste.

It is something that truly exists, it is very simple.

This is what I believe and

I'm willing to die for it.

I think what happens is we make the situation more complex.

The only thing that I see that is distinctly different about me is

I'm not afraid to die on a treadmill.

You might have more talent than me, you might be smarter than me,

but if we get on the treadmill there's two things :

You're getting off first, or I'm gonna die. It's really that simple.

There's no reason to have a plan B because it distract from plan A.

I want my life, I want my work, I want my family, I want it to mean something.

And it's like, if you are not making someone else's life better,

then you're wasting your time.

Being realistic is the most common road to mediocrity.

SEE IT: Ashley Judd delivers passionate takedown of Donald Trump at Women's March on Washington:... - Duration: 1:45.

She's a nasty woman.

Actress and activist Ashley Judd delivered an impassioned spoken word poem about Donald Trump's misogyny to the crowd during the Women's March on Washington on Saturday.

It started off with her saying, "I'm a nasty woman" — and quickly turned to unfavorable comparisons to Trump.

"Not as nasty as a man who looks like he bathes in Cheeto dust, a man whose words are a dis to America, Electoral College-sanctioned hate speech," Judd shouted.

(C-SPAN)

"I am not as nasty as racism, fraud, conflict of interest, homophobia, sexual assault, transphobia, white supremacy, misogyny, ignorance, white privilege," she continued, ferociously.

The poem — which she interrupted Michael Moore to deliver - was penned by a 19-year-old poet Nina Donovan from Tennessee.

Judd — the daughter of singer Naomi Judd and sister of Wynonna Judd — also compared Trump to Adolf Hitler (well, Donovan's poem made the comparison).

"I feel Hitler in these streets, Nazis renamed," Ashley continued.

The end of the poem hinted at both Trump's creepy comments towards his daughter, Ivanka, as well as his sexist commentary about grabbing women "by the p---y."

"I'm not as nasty as your daughter being your favorite sex symbol,"she shouts.

"Our p---ies ain't for grabbing... Our p---ies are for our pleasure... they are for birthing new generations nasty women."

The 48-year-old then led the thousands of women in attendance to chant: "Hell yeah!"
