Welcome to My Big 180! A lifestyle turn around journey! - Duration: 3:45.

Hi everyone my name is Sara and thank you for visiting my channel.

I wanted to welcome you all to my channel as this is something I have no idea what I

am doing, but I'm so glad that you are here.

I wanted to give you a little introduction and welcome you and let you know what My Big

180 really is going to be all about.

So, My Big 180 is something that I thought of when I was getting divorced around, 2013....

maybe.... yeah 2013 I think it was.

Anyway, I was at my biggest weight.

I was 486.7 pounds.

I was miserable, I couldn't walk without my back being in excruciating pain and having

to sit down completely out of breath.

I remember I couldn't walk from the parking lot on campus to my classroom without needing

to take at least one possibly two breaks on benches along the way.

I am now about 415 pounds.

I had at one point lost 99 pounds but gained a little of it back and am now losing weight

again, thanks to some amazing things that I have found that have worked wonders for

me and that is what this channel is going to be.

It's going to be my weight loss journey my turning my life around 180 degrees.

My struggles, my real life issues and things that trip me up, things that work for me.

No BS no joking, no trying to just sell you something.

Legitimately honest video, vlogging, blogging, whatever that they use nowadays...

I don't know.... anyways.

I am going to be sharing with you some things that I absolutely love, things that help me.

Workouts I love.

Recipies that I love, have some "Cook with Me".

Motivations, Support and just all around love for you guys and what you are going through

I want to be there to help you, because I know it is a lot easier when you have someone

going along for the ride with you.

There will be Q & A's, How to's, Budgets, product reviews, whatever strikes my fancy.

I am not 100% sure yet what exactly is going to be going down, but I know you guys are

going to love it and I am so grateful that you are all on this journey with me and can

watch me be a goofball on video because that is who I am and really just so much....

awesomeness is what I feel is going to happen from this.

So, I look forward to this journey with you.

I'm having some problems with the email I have to write to the boss!

Sure!

What's the email about?

You know we had a complaint about the exhibition that we organised?

Oh, I know about it.

The problem is, I just don't know how to put it all in an email to the boss.

I also need his permission to implement my solutions.

Well first, you need a good subject line.

Something which explains the whole email, so that when the boss reads it

he will know what the email is about.

OK

And it should be a noun phrase as well?

Right!

And not too long!

Next, make sure you start the email politely.

No 'Hi'!

OK, I understand.

Then how should I begin the content?

Always start with your purpose.

Say why you are writing the email.

OK, that's easy enough.

Then I go into the details about each complaint?

Yes, but remember organisation is very important.

The boss is a busy guy so make it clear and easy to understand.

OK, any hints about how to do that?

Yes, use sub-headings and numbering.

For example, the first problem is about online registration, so that is your first subheading.

Then describe the complaint the cause and

... my suggested solutions under that heading,

and so on.

Exactly!

Remember to be concise, don't add too much detail, but explain the point completely.

Right.

And then at the end what should I do?

You need to say what action you want the boss to do!

Make it clear what you want.

Clear, Concise, Courteous, Complete,

Our credit card cash dollars.

A customer tried to use them at American Records.

But American Records are no longer on our list of

That's because our computer technician does not speak very good English.

I've got the survey results about working conditions.

My boss wants me to write a report.

Can you give me some help?

Let's have a look at the results and see which aspects are a problem.

There were seven aspects which staff were asked about.

Things like a lighting, heating level, and the pantry.

Well, first,

only those aspects with low satisfaction are a problem.

It looks like these are the equipment and furniture for junior staff, while the

pantry is a problem for everyone.

I understand.

The aspects with low satisfaction are the areas where we have a problem.

So, any idea why junior staff are unhappy with the equipment?

I think it is

probably because senior staff have just been given new computers and telephones,

while the juniors have computers that are over five years old.

Yes, you're right.

And this means that the computers of junior staff often slow down when many

programs are being run at the same time so reducing working efficiency.

How about furniture?

Well, I know some staff are disgruntled with their chairs and desks.

Before my wooden chair gave me back problems while the plastic desk had

uneven legs.

my back problems led to me taking four sick days in one month.

That make sense.

So, why is everyone unhappy with the pantry?

Is it because it is quite dirty?

Yes.

I think so.

The cleaner only comes in twice a week,

so there are always dirty cups and plates in the sink, while the rubbish bin never gets

emptied.

Also,

there's just one fridge and a water carboy.

Maybe we need more utensils there?

This way staff would be less likely to leave the office at lunchtime so they

could relax more and work better in the afternoon.

Yes

And use approximation, for example half rather than 50%.

Also it's safer to use hedging words like "probably" unless you are 100%

certain.

the recommendations.

What's your solution for the first problem about the junior staff being

dissatisfied with the equipment?

The problem is that the junior staff have quite old computers,

so I was going to recommend that we get them new models.

This way the computers will run faster and won't hang when multiple programs are

being run.

So, the end result will be greater working efficiency, which will keep your boss

happy.

How about furniture?

Any solutions?

For furniture

I propose that we get some ergonomic chairs for the staff.

They will be more comfortable so sickness rates should go down as a

result.

Also,

better tables with improved storage would also help staff in their work.

No more wonky tables with files falling off the side.

Again, all this is good for improved working performance.

So, the pantry, what's your idea for that?

Increase the number of times the cleaner comes in?

Yes.

I think I'll suggest that the cleaner comes in every week day

That way hygiene should be improved.

Also,

We could get a coffee machine and microwave for staff to use.

Good idea!

That way staff can reheat their own lunches.

While the coffee machine is a good area for socialising.

Yes

So staff won't have to go outside

for lunch or coffee.

Instead they can stay in the office, relax and chat with their colleagues at

lunch and then be ready to work hard in the afternoon.

Great, if you give a good rational like that,

your boss is more likely to approve your recommendations.

My advice is similar to what I told you before.

Keep your language formal.

Have headings, sub headings, and numbering.

This way you were able to link each of the points in your findings to a

specific recommendation.

Try not to overuse words like "satisfied" and "recommend".

There are other words such as "contented" or "suggest"
