He Was NOT Supposed To Play Basketball, But He Made History - Duration: 4:03.This autistic player wasn't supposed to be playing high school basketball, but he
got put into a game.
What happened next was unbelievable!
What is up dudes, dudettes, ballers, players.
It's ya boi MJ.
Today I wanted to talk about the time Jason McElwain, an autistic high schooler, was put
into a division title basketball game.
If you like this video and these stories, like and subscribe for more content and follow

Just wanted to wish all of you an early Happy Thanksgiving and give you one of the most
heartfelt basketball stories out there.
I'm also thinking about dropping merch for the ALLDAY community so let me know in the
comments if you want that.
Alright let's get into it.
11 Years ago, Jason McElwain was a senior in Greece Athena High School and was a manager
for the high school basketball team.
Jason McElwain, known as J-Mac, has high functioning autism, making it difficult for him to play
competition basketball.
In fact, J-Mac had never played in a high school basketball game, but was always involved
by being a manager and assistant.
Everyone in his high school loved Jason because he was always caring towards others and his
teammates loved him because he always kept trying.
The year was ending and Jason's coach told him that he would play since there weren't
going to be many chances to put him in.
So on February 15, 2006, the Greece Athena High School gym was packed with people showing
support for Jason.
This game was not any normal game either.
It was a division title game.
So when Greece Athena got a large lead, J-Mac got put in with 4 minutes and 19 seconds left
in the game and the crowd erupted.
Jason missed his first shot by about 6 feet, missed another shot, and it wasn't looking
too good, but then one of the most best moments in sports happened.
J-Mac would become as "hot as a pistol" and scored 20 points!
Yeah, he scored 20 POINTS in less than 5 minutes including six 3 pointers!
Every three he made, the crowd roared and when it was all said and done, the crowd rushed
the court and lifted Jason above their shoulders.
He had tied a school record for three pointers and most importantly, had just taken the dreams
of a community and achieved it.
This moment won the ESPY Award for the Best Moment in Sports.
Jason even met George W. Bush and beyond high school, Jason McElwain has a full time job
in New York.
He travels around the US to raise autism awareness and raise money for research.
Recently in April 2016, J-Mac played one game for the Rochester Razorsharks, a professional
minor-league basketball team.
With the Razorsharks up by more than 40 points, J-Mac was put in and scored 10 points.
He's even qualified and competed in the Boston Marathon.
The point is that Jason fought through autism and gave one moment that people will never
forget.
It's like the perfect movie.
What Jason did was unbelievable and he has used his fame in the right ways, to help with
awareness and research for autism.
With Thanksgiving coming up, I thought that this was a story that deserved to be looked
at again.
But what do you think?
Is this the best moment in sports?

Trump Humiliates Obama With Thanksgiving Proclamation, Does The 1 Thing Barack Never Would - Duration: 4:35.President Donald Trump has released his very first Thanksgiving proclamation as POTUS,
in keeping with tradition.
In the process, he has humiliated his predecessor by doing the one thing which Barack Obama
never would.
The original purpose of the Thanksgiving holiday was to give thanks to God for all our blessings,
according to The American Presidency Project.
However, most Americans are unaware that Thanksgiving as a federal holiday was rooted in war; namely,
the Civil War's bloodiest battle.
Following the decisive Union Army victory at Gettysburg, President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed
Thursday, November 23, 1863, as a national day of "Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent
Father who dwelleth in the Heavens."
By today's standards, Lincoln's Thanksgiving proclamation sounds like an eloquent church
sermon.
Following Lincoln's lead, since 1863 every president has issued a National Day of Thanksgiving
proclamation.
All of these proclamations are fascinating windows into U.S. history with the president
often using the occasion to summarize the national mood.
[Source: BizPac Review] Especially poignant was President Franklin
D. Roosevelt's last Thanksgiving proclamation, which was issued on November 1, 1944.
With World War II drawing to a victorious close, FDR wrote, "In this year of liberation,
which has seen so many millions freed from tyrannical rule, it is fitting that we give
thanks with special fervor to our Heavenly Father for the mercies we have received individually
and as a nation and for the blessings He has restored, through the victories of our arms
and those of our allies, to His children in other lands."
Near the end of his proclamation, after impressing upon Americans to "give a united thanks
to God," Roosevelt recommends "a nationwide reading of the Holy Scriptures during the
period from Thanksgiving Day to Christmas."
Today, we cannot fathom a president's Thanksgiving proclamation recommending a "nationwide
reading of the Holy Scriptures" for three weeks.
Such an assertion by the president would undoubtedly result in an impending crisis over the separation
of church and state.
In light of this, it warrants taking a look at just how far has our nation has drifted
from the Judeo-Christian values it was founded on.
For example, President Barack Obama's final Thanksgiving proclamation in 2016 did not
mention the name "God" or "Almighty" in the text even once.
Instead, Obama lauded "tolerance" and "inclusiveness" as the end all to be all,
writing, "As we gather in the company of our friends, families, and communities — just
as the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag did centuries ago — let us strive to lift up others, promote
tolerance and inclusiveness, and give thanks for the joy and love that surround all of
us."
Fortunately, though, it is now 2017 and God is back in the White House!
In fact, President Donald Trump's Thanksgiving proclamation invokes the name of God five
times.
"On Thanksgiving Day, as we have for nearly four centuries, Americans give thanks to Almighty
God for our abundant blessings," Trump's proclamation begins.
"We gather with the people we love to show gratitude for our freedom, for our friends
and families, and for the prosperous Nation we call home."
Trump even quotes from Lincoln's 1863 proclamation, stating, "As President Lincoln recognized:
'No human counsel hath devised nor hath any mortal hand worked out these great things.
They are the gracious gifts of the Most High God, who, while dealing with us in anger for
our sins, hath nevertheless remembered mercy.'"
The president closes his proclamation by encouraging Americans to do what Obama would not.
"I encourage all Americans to gather, in homes and places of worship, to offer a prayer
of thanks to God for our many blessings," writes Trump.
As we celebrate Thanksgiving this year with our families gathered around, we would all
do well to take pause and reflect on the reason we are celebrating in the first place.
And, as we thank God for our many blessings, we ought to count our faithful president,
Donald J. Trump, among them.

South Korea-China foreign ministers remark on THAAD agreement amid summit preparations - Duration: 2:20.The top diplomats of South Korea and China held talks in Beijing on Wednesday evening...
with the remit of preparing a bilateral presidential summit next month.
But with the recent THAAD agreement fresh in their minds, both sides were keen to emphasize
their mutual roles to help repair relations.
Kwon Jang-ho reports.
South Korea and China's foreign ministers met in Beijing on Wednesday.
Laying the groundwork for President Moon Jae-in's trip to the Chinese capital next month topped
the agenda.
The two sides agreed that the visit will take place around mid-December, with the aim to
strengthen and enhance the South Korea-China relationship.
The relationship has been tested over the last year, after Beijing objected to Seoul's
decision to deploy the U.S. THAAD anti-missile system on Korean soil.
Despite the two governments reaching an understanding over the issue and announcing their intent
to 'renormalize' relations last month, Beijing's top diplomat Wang Yi, began the meeting warning
Seoul that they need to withhold their end of the agreement -- to make sure THAAD does
not encroach on China's national security interests.
(Chinese) - AP 4127159 There's a Chinese saying, "promises must be
kept, actions must yield results."
We hope the South Korean side will continue to appropriately handle this matter."
Seoul's foreign minister, Kang Kyung-wha, in turn said she considered the agreement
a valuable outcome, and hoped that it would resolve difficulties for Korean business activities...
referring to unofficial economic sanctions Beijing had imposed on Korea in retaliation
to THAAD.
(Korean) - AP 4127159 "We both realize that continued conflict is
in neither of our interests so we have reached this outcome."
Talks also moved on to North Korea.
According to Seoul's foreign ministry, Wang reaffirmed Beijing's intent to continue carrying
out UN sanctions, but added that they will use their diplomatic efforts to help create
the conditions for talks with the regime.
Kang said the two nations should work together* on that endeavor, while at the same time making
sure to suppress North Korea's nuclear activities.
The two ministers are said to have carried on discussions through to a dinner after the
meeting, spending some five hours together in total.

Hundreds of thousands of students take delayed college entrance exam - Duration: 2:55.Our starting point this morning--- It's one of the most grueling moments of a
student's life,... and the big day has finally arrived.
Today is finally the make-or-break test day for high-school seniors here in South Korea--
some 593-thousand students are set to take their College Scholastic Ability Test or 'Suneung'
in just a couple of hours.
This year's test,... even more special-- as the government took the unprecedented step
of postponing the college entrance exam by one week to ensure the safety of students--
following the 5-point-4 magnitude earthquake that struck the southeastern city of Pohang
last Wednesday.
For more, we check with our Kim Mok-yeon-- on the ground-- in Pohang for us.
Mok-yeon, I can feel the excitement coming from that end-- with many cheering and encouraging
the test takers....
Hi Semin , I'm here at Pohang Idong High School, one of the test sites in the city that's recovering
from last Wednesday's earthquake.
It's really cold out at this early morning hour, but behind me there are students marching
to take one of the most important exams of their life-- and families and juniors cheering
for their success.
Well-wishers have been chanting and cheering at the test takers as they approach the building,
urging them to ace their exams.
And such a scene-- cheering for college entrance exam takers-- is something we normally don't
see elsewhere around the world,...
But in a country where admission to top-tier universities is considered a path to a successful
life,... a good performance today could shape their entire lives.
The test is set to start at 8-40 am and will last for about nine-hours.
Just like any other Suneung day, traffic restrictions are in place on roads near the test centers,
and public transportation services have been extended.
Flights will also be controlled during the English-language listening section of the
test.
Also, the stock markets and some businesses have delayed their opening hours to help keep
traffic off the streets prior to the start of the test.
Yes,... an important day indeed.
But as mentioned before,.. today's exam isn't like any other that we've seen in the previous
years.
Extra care is in place for those test takers in Pohang, where you're at.
That's right, as much as the entire nation is focused on helping all students do well,...
more attention focused on those in this region,... where locals have been experiencing constant
tremors following last week's quake.
And for that the government has dispatched safety officials and earthquake experts at
the test sites, they are on stand-by in case any tremors occur during the exam period.
And regarding earthquake countermeasures, the government has prepared some 240 buses
and 12 back-up test-sites outside of Pohang... just in case students have to be transferred
before the test begins.
Education Minister Kim Sang-gon is also here in Pohang, to stay in close contact with relevant
authorities-- and give on-the-ground instructions if necessary.
I'll be back during the next newscast at 10am, Korea time.
Back to you, Semin.

CCTV footage shows North Korean soldier crossing MDL during pursuit of defector - Duration: 2:05.Dramatic video footage was released on Wednesday showing a North Korean soldier's daring, bullet-ridden
defection through the Joint Security Area to the South.
During last week's chaotic scenes that were caught on camera,... UN Command investigators
say North Korea clearly *violated the Armistice Agreement *twice during its pursuit of the
defector.
Kim Hyun-bin has more from Seoul's defense ministry.
The United Nations Command on Wednesday released a video showing a North Korean soldier defecting
to the South through the Joint Security Area of Panmunjeom last Monday.
The video shows the defector was using a jeep for his escape until it became stuck in a
drainage ditch.
As the defector got out of the jeep and started sprinting towards the Military Demarcation
Line separating the two Koreas, four North Korean soldiers opened fire at him.
Dozens of rounds were fired with several bullets hitting the defector.
The footage also shows one North Korean soldier crossing the military demarcation line for
a few seconds during the pursuit.
Soon after crossing the MDL, the soldier returns to the north side of the border.
The defector was wounded and fell unconscious on the southern side of the border.
Three South Korean soldiers crawled towards him and dragged him to safety.
The UNC Special Investigation Team said that the investigation results show that North
Korea violated the UN Armistice Agreement twice during the pursuit.
"The key findings of the special investigation team indicate that the KPA violated the Armistice
Agreement by... one firing weapons across the MDL, two by actually crossing the MDL
temporarily."
The UNC notified North Korea of these violations at the JSA on Wednesday through the normal
communications channel in Panmunjeom, and requested a meeting to discuss the results
of the investigation and measures to prevent future violations.
The UNC Special Investigation Team said on Wednesday the investigation team was made
up of personnel from Australia, New Zealand, South Korea and the United States.
Members from Sweden and Switzerland of the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission also
observed the process.

Suneung: The stars behind the scenes - Duration: 2:39.And yes,... the big day is finally here.
High school seniors up and down the country are in the final hours of mentally preparing
themselves for the national college exam.
But it's not just the students who are in this.
The families and friends of the test-takers also come together to nudge them over the
finish line.
Lee Jeong-yeon has this story.
One of the most important days for Korean students is upon us.
The day of the Suneung, or national college entrance exam.
The students are of course the stars of the show, but behind every great movie is an amazing
cast of supporting characters that make the stars shine.
(stand-up) It's a cold winter morning here at Bongeun-sa,
but more than 300 people are already gathered at the temple, mostly mothers praying for
their kids to ace the one-a-year test that could possibly decide the course of their
entire career.
Everyone at this temple has their child's test ID with them during prayers.
It's no mystery who they're praying for so hard here today.
(Korean) "The only thing we can do for them now is
pray.
We can't study for them or take the test for them.
So we want to give them all the energy we can get.
I'm sure all mothers feel the same way."
Some students have also come to pray with their mothers.
(Korean) "My kid has practically been preparing for
this test for 12 years.
When the test was postponed due to the earthquake it was… a really big struggle for both of
us.
But now it's finally happening so I'm here to pray for the best of him."
(English) "I'm really grateful for her, but I'm also
a little bit worried because she'd have to pray for almost seven or eight hours but her
body isn't well.
I also want her to... consider her health when she's praying."
Friends and relatives also do what they can to wish the students good luck.
And they often do this through gift sets of 'dduk ,' a sticky Korean ricecake that symbolizes
"passing the test" as the Korean word for "stick" also refers to "getting accepted."
To say the whole academic life of a Korean student leads up to this one day would not
be an overstatement.
So around this time of year in Korea, everyone comes together as one big cheerleading team,
and it is this kind of energy from friends and loved ones that help the high school seniors
go out with a bang.
Lee Jeong-yeon, Arirang News.
