resolution: never say that series of words in sequence ever again. Okay, so if you will
recall, last year, I made a bunch of new year's resolutions and it was fairly ridiculous but
for old time's sake, why don't we check on our friends, shall we? Hey. Hey Jeff. Bud.
Are you still there? [silence] huh. Jeffrey Allen Hughes III, you come out from under
that bed aT oNcE. [blub blub?] What's up, bud? [mumbles in tentacle] Jeff, I can't hear
you. Speak up. Jeff: I don't [blub] wanna. Eli: okay bud. I'm not gonna force you to
do something you don't wanna do. Jeff appears to be going through some, uh, camera-shyness
at the moment. Maybe next time. If you'll remember, last year one of my resolutions
was to remove Jeff from my general vicinity, but upon discussing it with him, we made an
agreement that made both of us happy. A compromise, if you will. He only makes weird noises when
I'm not around. As for Tollibo and the bauble birds... they've been evicted. Okay so my
second resolution was just to tame my piano and that one hasn't been going... quite as
well. Model E-sharp has never been and easy creature to deal with, and in the last year
it seems to have only gotten... more temperamental. [random piano sounds] Could you maybe not.
I'm kind of at a loss for what to do so if you have any suggestions, leave them down
in the comments, please. The final resolution was just to stop teleporting my friends to
alternate dimensions... Which I've gotten much better at doing now! I've found that
meditation works wonders for concentration and general mindfulness, so I've only lost
like, three friends to the aether this year! How do you pronounce that word? Because I
- I don't think I'm pronouncing that word. A-E-T-H-E-R. How d'you pronounce that word?
Giving that I'm throwing my friends into it all the time I should probably know how to
pronounce it, but... Ummm - Dictionary dot com: AETHER Eli: aether. I've only lost like,
three friends to the aether this year so I think we're - we're doing pretty good. However,
during one of those slip-ups, It seems I've opened a portal to the deathworld... [screams
of the damned] Occasionally, monsters will slip out and steal my socks. It's a work in
progress, okay!? We're working on it! My last actual real life resolution was to be more
creative and inspired throughout the year. As it seems, I'm still making terrible videos
at infrequent intervals, so. That's going well. Also. Uniquity is aN iLLuSiOn. So...
questionable success, on that front. I suppose you're all gonna want my New Year's Resolutions
for Twenty Eighteen!!11!1 right? 'Kay. The first is fairly apparent. I need to get rid
of that thing. [screams of the damned] The other is to try and tame my piano, I guess.
And maybe to try and form a stronger friendship with Jeff. I've been pretty hard on him in
the last year, so... Maybe I should try to treat him with more kindness [blubs in questioning]
Hm? Jeff: do you mean it? Eli: Of course, Jeff! [excited blubbing] Oh hey, buddy! Nice
of you to join us! Jeff: Hey guys. Eli: Jeff, I'm sorry if I've been harsh or unkind to
you in the last year. It's not your fault, and I've been stuck in my own brain. And that's
just not right. I should be treating you with respect regardless of what's happening in
my own brain. I've been a little bit selfish in the last year, so I'll to improve myself
for you. Jeff: thanks, Eli. Can I have a hug? [blubs in tentacle] Eli: aw, c'mere, bud!
(gentle reminder that Jeff is, in fact, a figment of my imagination and therefore cannot
actually make real life contact with me) Ope, watch the horn. [blub blub] Love you, bud.
[blubs] Ope, down you go, bud. [blubs] I'll try to make this year one of compassion and
love, for myself and for my friends. ANYWAY, moving right along. Another problem that I've
noticed is that, due to a lack of Tollibo, because he stopped stealing my various linens,
I've noticed a disturbing number of linen spiders have moved in. My house has it's own
freaking ecosystem, guys. Anyway, my last resolution is to try to sort out the linen
spider problem. Also, I should probably consider learning how to ride a bicycle.
